[Rules: Four member slots available. You cannot be participating in another plot thread. I will be posting at least every 48 hours. The grounds for ejection from the thread are being skipped three times total. This isn't to be mean, but to ensure thread completion and to maybe get someone else involved who can be more active. Style: Technical/LS. If you don't have LS-style damage-listings in your posts, damage will be calculated by me, automatically and fairly. Just take a quick look at the Battle Rules topic to get the basics down.] In the forest, a small piece of darkness touched the ground.
It was broken. Just a shard. It was fragmented and lost, far from its kin. Shards beyond counting had streaked through the night sky, but this one came alone. Alone, it touched on ground like itself: forgotten, neglected, separated from the rest. Rotten ground, with scraps of metal and elk bones scattered about, a makeshift graveyard and landfill adopted by hunters on their routes through the forest. Much of the forest was pristine; but here, there was only corruption.
The shard struck ground, and snuck along the forest floor, moving as though a magnet were trailing it along, jerking and shaking until it finally found its home: the skull of an elk, long stripped of any flesh. The shard stuck to the inside of the skull, and the skull began to morph, twisting its shape into a skeletal mask.
For a while, that seemed to be all that might happen. A dark mask in a forest, destined to sit still until someone found it. But that was not to be. The dejected remnants of a greedy world culled about it, scraps of metal and bone and bile dragging themselves towards the skull, the lonely skull, the lonely shard. They did so noiselessly, but eagerly, dragging along in starts and stops, each quicker than the last. Soon, the skull sat atop a throne of ruin, unmoving.
But no. it had been still for too long. Too long an immobile piece, too long had these rejected scraps and bones been made to watch as the world refused to make time for them, refused to share its gift of movement and life. A new, blessed power united them, and the dead spirit of the elk returned, its old soul waking after a long slumber. Rage for its lost world simmered. The scraps of metal bound to it shuddered. Their hatred brewed, too, hatred for a world that promised such greatness and yet tossed them aside. An agreement rang throughout the effigy of loss: the new world, the one with metal and steam and smoke, it had tossed them all aside. It should be ended. Slowly, an agreement was found amongst the pieces. The fragments of many would become one. A boiling mist seeped out from the skull, spreading across the forest, shrouding the pieces in darkness. They began to shudder once more, and slowly they ascended, taking on a new form, assembling into a mass of tarnished hatred.
The mass began to travel through the sky, moving slowly, watching the world below. It would not strike the forest. No. It must begin elsewhere, in the new world. It advanced towards the nearest settlement it could detect and hovered above it, in the sky, watching.
Its destruction would begin on this day, this glorious awakening.

ENTER THE FAIRY QUEEN
Titania had departed the forest to gallivant, much like she did almost every day. Although with the recent events she had been helping out refugees with her time away, something few fairies knew about. Most thought she was doing her normal tasks: conquering the hearts of men, and maybe a woman here or there. But today she took a trip to the Ordon Village, making sure that the neighbors weren't being too naughty.
On her trip there she decided to walk through the forest, speaking to the trees. The trees, uncharacteristically, seem wary of something. She didn't know what until she saw the amorphous floating blackness taking the shape of some monster. She pouted and put a hand on her hip as it floated toward Ordon Village.
"Hmph! Try to scare the trees, will you." She drew her bow, and readied herself for combat. This hideous blob would not stand up to her beauty. Even if it was bigger, and probably stronger. She followed the blob, not taking first action, waiting for a motive to reveal itself.

(OOC: Midna and I are here to save the day!) Another day, another assault. Nightmare had been in the area. Truth be told, he had kept an eye on the area ever since Vaati had made himself known. And he was glad he did.
The beast he saw made him grin. A living machine, cobbled together from heaps and pieces of scrap. He knew it! He knew such a thing was possible. This creature justified every possible schematic he had drawn of a walking tank, a behemoth capable of delivering out armageddon through fire, lead, and metal. If he survived, then it justified everything.
Immediately, he started to follow the thing, straying not too far away from the fairy queen, making it two rulers; the Fairy Queen and the Monster Emperor. Nightmare was watching its every move with pure fascination. The fact that such a thing existed was such a beautiful thing.
For now, he would watch, and see just how it moved.

It had been such a peaceful day for the most part. It was almost sickening to the Twilight Princess to continue with her mundane search throughout Ordona. It was nothing more than a simple countryside filled with homely little citizens, and boring lifestyles. Sure, she caught word that there had been some recent events that resulted in some catastrophes going on, but where was she when they happened? Midna was starting to believe that people were holding out on her.
That is until she caught a glimpse herself at the beast in the sky. Now that was exactly what she was talking about! What the hell was that thing anyways? Only one way to find out~
"Well, would you look at that," she grinned mischievously, "It's the sucker from the lake."
She flashed a wicked grin before stalking in the shadows not at all far behind the two that were following the beast before them. This ought to be fun~

Jin could see something, something bad floating toward the village where he was resting. How did he know it was bad? The feeling of dread he got from just looking at it was a good indication, at least from what he had encountered so far. With the egg and Sasha placed within the safe keeping of a small area within a tree, Jin got himself all set.
He wrapped his face up in tan cloth, put on his large shield and then put on his two bucklers before he took a deep breath. Last time he had encountered trouble like this, he had gotten away without any trouble, but this time he knew there would be no avoiding a fight.
He left the comfort of the village and headed into the forest, his target was to stop the darkness before it got too close. Somehow he wouldn't let it get to his destination. He just hoped he was wrong. "I cannot let anyone come to harm..."

[Remember, in LS style, you get two action slots per turn. You can Attack, Guard, or Manoeuvre, but Guard has a one-post cooldown after use. Abilities usually do much more damage than attacks; for Jin and Seyka, I’ll work out how much damage your abilities do. Also, the black-and-white text at the end of this post is a hint. Use it. Unlike many bosses you may have fought, this one can, and will, kill the entire party and go about its business if you don’t figure it out. That said, figuring it out shouldn’t be hard. Good luck.] The new being, the new grievous general of all the rusted and rotted things in the world, stared down at the combatants, as it floated calmly in the sky. For a long time, it barely moved, only slowly twitching a claw this way or that, or pausing every now and again as some piece of scrap moved along its surface to find a better position amongst the new, amalgamated body. Slowly, its head began to sway, like a snake, turning back and forth between each combatant. It simply stared at each one in turn, as its eyes began to light up, a dull glow turning to a bright purple flame. Then, the skull mask of its face opened like a hinge, revealing a black, twisting mass of scrap metal and bone.
A wave of shadow shot out from the recess, enveloping the entire party, choking them, before it drifted back to the Drosslord. The skull sealed shut, and the creature seemed somehow … fuller. More powerful. And yet still, it made absolutely no noise, save for the creaking and clanging of its joints as it moved. It hovered closer, and closer to the party, until it was only a couple feet from the ground, and then stared at all of them. The fog that surrounded it seemed to spread from its joints, enveloping the battlefield, making it hard to see … but what was more, something felt wrong … as though any attempts at protection would fail.
Still silent, the Drosslord stared down at them all, its talons twitching. Yes, they would fall soon.
[/ul] HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY there. And unbidden into all of their heads, came a voice. It sounded extremely entertained. “Hiya, kiddos. Just a warning! This one, my friends, is important. You’ll win no wars of attrition today. It’s go big or go home time, by which I mean it’s “Go big or get eaten by a scrap monster from a rotten hell” time.” PlayersTitania img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Shinamec/sosnoheartcontainer2.jpg [/img] Status: NonePassive effects: NoneRange In-range![/ul] Nightmare img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Shinamec/sosnoheartcontainer2.jpg [/img] Status: NonePassive effects: The RingRange In-range![/ul] Midna img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Shinamec/sosnoheartcontainer2.jpg [/img] Status: NonePassive effects: NoneRange In-range![/ul] Jin img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/Shinamec/sosnoheartcontainer2.jpg [/img] Status: NonePassive effects: NoneRange In-range![/ul] BOSSTHE DROSSLORD Status: THE DROSSLORD: ACTIVEPassive effects: THE DROSSLORD, CORRODERange In-range![/ul][/blockquote]

Titania knew she wasn't alone. She could sense there were others around, although it mattered little. Whether they were friends or enemies, it was probably a safe bet to assume they also weren't happy about the dark mass of scrap coming closer to them.
Then it enveloped them.
The choking fog was awful, Titania struggled to maintain herself as she looked directly at her opponent, which felt like looking into death. She drew her bow, ready to fire at the next target who needed it, which could be anyone due to the dual properties of the bow. She also began to feel the magic pulsing through her body, empowering her.
She was ready to fight this monstrosity.

(OOC: Just making this short so we can move along) And just like that, fight was on. The big scrap of metal decided that it would attack for absolutely no reason. Why did big monsters have to be douche bags like that? The moment the shadow left, he immediately knew something was wrong though. Looking above his head, he saw a sign flash briefly before disappearing.
-
Nightmare sighed, and upon hearing a voice, looked to his comrades.
"FAIRY! Get to work on some healing spells, keep the attackers alive at all cost!" The first order was given before turning his gaze over to Jin. "YOU! Start swinging that sword!" He yelled at Jin. Finally, the source of the ever familiar voice, he decided he'd boss around too. "YOU! You have telekinesis, right? HAMMER THAT FUCKER WITH A TREE AND THEN PIMPSMACK IT." He was rather... specific with Midna. He wondered if she had a superpowered pimpsmack. He already knew about the telekinesis after she shoved him into the water with it.
As for him? He brought Silversnake out swinging. One slash at the beast, followed by one more. With the power of the Ring, hopefully his damage output would be increased.

Midna gagged at the nasty fog protruding the area. How vulgar! Didn't this creature know any manners? Composing herself rather than getting all fired up she narrowed her carmine eyes at the beast. Looks like she would have to work with the others in order to put this monstrosity in it's place. No quarrels here~
Midna glared at Nightmare wondering where in the world did he get the audacity to boss all of them around? Honestly, who died and made him leader of this ragtag group~ The man certainly had quite the nerve. Rolling her eyes, she flicked her wrists, tension building up as she pointed her finger to a decent sized tree. An orange surge of energy outlined the tree for a second before Midna grunted out loud, lifted up her hand as her telekinesis took out the tree, root and all, out from the earth.
Grinning from ear to ear, Midna merely pointed her finger, and watched as the tree zoom right past the combatants taking on the creature before ramming it by end with the roots.

- Uprooted a tree
- Rammed the tree by the roots at the Drosslord

Jin stumbled back, coughing as the smog filled the area. Not even his face wrappings protected him from the foulness that harmed him as he looked upon the source of the smog. The same smoky darkness as before, but now he could see parts of it clearly. Around him where others who seemed to be here to stop the creature as well. Shaking his head, not wanting to get distracted, Jin looked at the beast once more and raised his shields. He was strong and he'd use this strength to stop the creature. Before he did anything though, one of the others who was there started to shout out orders. He knew that one of them was a fairy now, from what the man giving orders said. He looked at himself, seeing no sword, and he simply decided that instead he'd use his fighting skills with his shields. He watched as the man who gave orders charged and attacked, and that was followed up by a tree actually flying out and attacking the dark creature. Not to be outdone, Jin twisted his body to bring his left buckler against his target using his body to increase his strike. He wasn't finished yet, for while he was turning his other hand went to his side with the buckler two inches above his fist. It was here that he brought his fist toward the creature in an uppercut style attack. Actions: Both used in physical attacks at Drosslord.

[For the record, no updates that have not yet been approved are being included in this boss fight. Sorry, Jin, that does include your pending updates.] The Drosslord bore its wounds well, simply shuddering as it was struck by the swords, and the tree. Of course those bits of metal and wood would strike back. They were still whole and healthy. They were still allied with the world of men and minish and elf and gerudo and all of the rotten living things that had yet to die. Hatred brewed in the Drosslord’s heart. It slowly approached Nightmare, and extended a hand. It was moving slowly, but Nightmare found he could not move, and was rooted to the spot while the Drosslord reached out with one of its large talons … and touched Nightmare on the forehead.
The talon stayed in place for a long time, before a pulse travelled through Nightmare, as though the life force was being sucked out of him, and into the Dross Lord’s claw. Then the great construction moved over towards Jin, and repeated the process, touching him on the forehead and holding it in place. The Drosslord slowly took its position at the center of the battlefield again, any marks of damage it might have suffered nearly gone.
Known effectsTremortouch: deal heavy physical damage to target. Secondary effect unknown.

Titania hopped back, glad that the monster was not trying to remove her pretty face. However, it was also an issue that her "guards" were being heavily assaulted. She darted between the two, looking at each of them, and deciding who should get the healing powers the Goddesses granted her. Of course, the fact that she was being barked at wasn't lost on her. She decided to heal him, partially to follow orders and partially to get him indebted to her.
She drew an arrow quickly from her quiver. She fired it straight into the back of Nightmare. He'd feel the healing sensation from that right away. Then she used her charged magic to heal Nightmare again.
Actions: White Magic Heal: Nightmare/Healing Arrow at Nightmare.

As the talon... lightly tapped him... "Oh it's friendly."This was immediately followed by Nightmare feeling the surge course Nightmare immediately felt the surge. Rather than shriek out in pain, or rage, or roar in agony, or any kind of realistic action, Nightmare just casually looked above him. - "Motherfucker..."However, this was immediately followed by a feeling of new life. Nightmare looked above him. + Nightmare looked over to find the fairy had been doing her job. He felt an urge to go over and hug her, only to find out... his legs wouldn't move. As in he couldn't walk. As in he couldn't take a single step. Whatever this massive beast did, it apparently had an effect on motor skills. Chances were that this applied to everyone else too, unfortunately. Sighing again, he took another two swipes. "Repeat, I suppose. This guy better not be lying." Nightmare grumbled.

"Friendly, huh?" she taunted. Though it would appear as nothing more than a vagrant voice echoing through the forest but Night would know perfectly well that insult was made for him. She was rather surprise those that he didn't manage to die from the creature's assault. Perhaps she was giving him less credit than she should be giving him. A soft snicker escaped from her lips as she shrugged. "Hit him with all I've got~ Very well then," she mused.
It may take a little time, but all good things come to those who wait, right?
The little imp's pony tail rose up, the end of her tail appearing like a hand, raising up with the palms to the air. Encircling around her was an glowing energy field that began to expand, and strength towards two trees within her reach. A spark of twilit orange aura outlined the trees targeting them within Midna's grasp.
She wasn't done yet~ Midna trusted them folk can handle themselves a little while longer while until her energy field had reached it's maximum range of affect.
Action
- Extended her energy field (via Extension)
- Target two trees within her grasp

Jin stood where he was, panting, trying to keep his eyes from blurring too much. Just moments ago he had felt good about this battle. He swore his strikes hit the creature hard and that was a good thing. They had (mostly) all struck the creature with all their strength (he thought) but it didn't seem to falter too much. When it touched his forehead though, the pain was horrendous. If he had to explain the feeling, he would swear that his life was being sucked out through a single point in his forehead. Feeling like everything that made you, well, you getting sucked out of your forehead wasn't a pleasant feeling what so ever. He wouldn't falter now though, not when he still had confidence in his own skills. The Fairy seemed like she wanted to help, sending what looked like a good healing arrow into the other attacker's back. Jin waited a moment for the same thing, but when nothing came he felt a bit cheated. Well, maybe the other man was more of a fighter then Jin was, but right now he had to stop the creature. Though he needed a little help in the health department. "Replenish my body with the fresh waters of the Oasis..." He said softly, the illusion of water appearing at his feet, the 10 foot area around him replenishing him. Feeling a tad bit better now, Jin swung once more at the creature, both of his hands interlocked into a larger fist as he swung both arm in a single arc, buckler out front. Actions: 1st: Healing Ability Oasis ll 2nd: Normal Attack

[I’m going to assume that no one is in Jin’s 10-foot radius right now except him; but if you want to move closer to him, you can. Corrode prevents you from trying to escape, but it won’t stop the coming together of party members.] The Drosslord watched as the attacks came in, its enemies either preparing to attack, or attempting to harm him. Their efforts to heal and restructure were … wise. It held an appreciation for the coming together of things, and in this, they were admirable … but still, they were composed of living flesh, beating blood, bound bone, and woven steel. All must be punished and fall, and these before him were no exception.
But it found that for all its efforts to bind its newfound form together, it was failing. Its body slowed, unable to proceed with the same grace and elegance it had moments prior, made clumsy and rough in its newfound wellspring of health. The others did try to attack him: but Jin’s attack, and Nightmare’s first attack, both utterly failed. When the warriors moved to strike the Drosslord, a tremor suddenly shot through their body and their arms turned to weakness, not even dealing enough damage to scratch the nascent being. Then, as an additional insult, more black mist shot from their mouths, drifting towards the Drosslord, bloating it further. But Nightmare’s second attack did ring home, mitigating some of the newfound health the Drosslord had found.
If they feared, however, that the Drosslord would strike again, those fears were unfounded. Instead, the skull-mask that was its face swung open, and its neck pointed to the sky. Three rings shot out of its mouth, hanging high in the air, one higher than the other, reaching towards the heavens. Then, a great, terrible ball of purest black energy exited its mouth, floating above until it was just below the first ring. Time and space seemed to warp around it, and any who tried to go near it would find they could not—indeed, even thinking of approaching the new black sun seemed to hurt.
The Drosslord, ominously, did nothing more, but watch its targets, its hollow eyes ever-surveying.
Known effectsTremortouch: deal heavy physical damage to target. Next attack by target that does moderate damage or less is prevented, and heals the Drosslord by a Large amount.

Titania was worried about how this battle was going. While the group hadn't taken horrendous levels of damage, the black mass looked stronger than ever. At this rate, it was going to consume everything and and leave death in its wake. Not to mention the black sun rising. That just looked ominous and bad. She readied another arrow and fired it at the drosslord, hoping that all bits of damage would count. She also made sure she had some magic handy for when she needed it.
Actions taken: counterspell the black sun... Charge white magic/Shoot arrow at Drosslord

Nightmare groaned as he missed. Honestly, this was an endgame thing. The entire world could tell him it was starter level, but he'd never believe it. He'd be willing to bet actual rupees the final boss would be a walk in the park compared to this ass. Nevertheless, he was running out of options. That black sun in the sky couldn't bring any good. Walking on over to Jin, he stepped in the Oasis and took off his ring before handing it to the guardian. "This thing will increase your attack power. I want it back when it's over. Otherwise I will hunt you down and murder you." Nightmare remarked, giving Jin a rather dark glare. But without his ring, surely such a claim would be unfounded, right? Wrong. Immediately, Nightmare's form began to change and grow. Before everyone's eyes, he revealed his true form. A massive dragon towered over the rest of them as it gazed upon the Dross. There was one shot for this, but it had to work flawlessly. However, that didn't mean he couldn't have a bit of fun. "And this is why a little imp could never hope to outmatch me." A nice potshot aimed at Midna.
[/blockquote] Action One used to move over to Jin (and into the oasis) and hand him the ring. Action Two used to transform.

Almost there. It was taking a lot more time than she expected. It would appear that the rest of her group were managed fairly well so she didn't put too much stress on them. Was her eyes pulling tricks on her? Or was that abomination getting stronger? As if it wasn't a problem just being at it's normal strength! Out of the corner of her lone eye, she so happen to catch a glimpse of the blond man transform into a dragon. That could prove to be useful here~ However his comment wasn't ignored. How dare he think himself better than the Twilight Princess! His remark fueled her drive to further the stretch in her field proving that her powers could top that of the stupid dragon. She'll show him! Wider, and wider her field stretched as she extended her ability to it's maximum length. Just as she reached the limit, another tree came within into her grasp, outlined in a twilit orange color to mark that it has been targeted. Wonderful~ Three trees in one go. A wide wicked fanged grin escaped from her lips as she held herself in place collectively. She was ready~ Actions- Extension reached it's maximum length
- Targeted one more tree: a total of 3 trees

Jin shivered as his arms seemed to fail and his body seem to struggle a bit with itself. Whatever the creature had done, it made it hard to him to attack it. But it would need much more then that to stop Jin. Like a giant black sun that seemed to cause a bit of a headache thinking about. That might work. If it was allowed to continue. Jin concentrated on Drosslord again, ready to strike, when the one who had taken command of the group approached him. Looking at the man, Jin took the ring in his hand before sliding it onto one of his fingers, feeling the power rumble through him, just strengthening him being on his finger. "I wouldn't steal from an ally in battle. Would be a bad thing for a representative of the humans to do." Jin said, sprinkling in his title a bit, something he had learned from a certain long haired Minish Chief. However, when Night transformed, Jin almost went crazy with wonder and excitement, but he controlled himself. Right now there was something more important to deal with then an EPIC DRAGON. With Oasis' power slowly fading, Jin was glad that he'd be able to help his dragon ally a bit after he helped him. Facing Drosslord again, and the Ring seeming to power him up, Jin swung upward with one of his shield's before bringing his other shield toward the beast from the right. Actions: Both Actions are a Normal attack.
