After it had summoned the Sun, it found that it was exhausted. Too much of its dark power had been ejected into that sun … its power to separate matter was slowly dwindling … now it found it must rely on its power to unify, even as its enemies unified against it. It staggered back from the attacks, then approached Titania, pressing a talon to her forehead once more. Like the others, she would feel life being sucked through her forehead and into the Drosslord … but once the attack—still as devastating as ever—was complete, suddenly a bright light shone out from within the Drosslord, causing it to falter and twitch. It did not move, but somehow, it seemed desperate … less powerful than before. As though the contagion that fuelled it was being spent, or being affected by some purer substance.
While this went on, though, the Sun observed quietly, and rose to be surrounded by the first ring.

As he watched the talon touch the fairy, he knew what the fairy was in for. He decided he'd at least give her some idea of what to do next. However, he couldn't focus on her forever, he had work to do~ "Fairy, don't attack, heal yourself." With that, he turned his attention back to the Drosslord, taking note of the sun reaching the first ring. He didn't want to find out what would happen if the sun hit the third ring. However, it was clear that they had a little bit of time left to take the bastard down before it reached the third ring. "Human, strike it twice more." With his order given to Jin, Nightmare's wings reared back before slicing at the Drosslord with all its might, hoping to inflict some damage to slow it down.

Titania recoiled from being hit by the Drosslord's attack. Her first reaction was to strike back, but Nightmare seemed to know what he was doing, and so she listened. Instead, she decided to spend her white magic healing herself, and then charged her white magic once more.
"Thanks for the heads-up Nighty"
Actions taken: White Magic Heal/Charge White Magic back to 1 unit.

Was Midna the only one getting humor out of this fight? A part of her felt a little envious now throwing some punches at him yet, but she knew better that all good things come to those who wait. Oh yes, she ground up what patience she had in her to focus on keeping her energy field up as long as possible. It will come to her when her time to strike shall arise. She'll swipe the glory from underneath the dragon's nose once this creature is destroyed for good~
"One, two, three..." she counted then suddenly gasped not realizing how far her field stretched, "Oh my~ a fourth? Well, I'll be damned."
A soft giggle escape from her lips. She'll wait it out for one more moment~ Her moment in the limelight will come, and when it does, Midna will show the dragon that even an imp can stand on par with, if not surpass, him~

The monster twitched and shrunk back somewhat, as if it was hurting within itself, and Jin grinned. "We can do this you guys!" He said, ignoring the large dragon, as much as he wanted to simply stare at it intensely. However, he wanted to bash it down and save the nice, simple village behind them. They needed to be saved, and if it was just another normal time for them, Jin wouldn't tell them of his good deeds. "I will protect the town of Ordona till my last breath." He said, more to himself then any others. He swung his right arm at the creature in an upward motion before his other arm swung upward as well. Both of his bucklers sat on the edge of his arms when he struck with a double uppercut. "Stupid voice! What do you mean about that sun!?" Actions: Both used in to attack Drossy |

The Drosslord was, finally, beginning to falter. It trembled from the damage it took from Jin and Nightmare, and hovered over to Midna and touched its claw to her forehead, sucking the life out of her, filling her with pain. But it was not enough. It had taken damage … and now it was weak, so weak … it felt the force that was binding it together weakening, the contagion lessening … as though its shard was recalling some other power it had contacted, and was now deciding that it would settle on its brand of magic rather than the one that fuelled it now.

As the claw touched the Twilight Princess, Nightmare couldn't help but get some satisfaction as to what he believed to be karma. But, the sun was at the second ring, and now it was pretty much do or die. And then he heard Superhint speak. "Hey, don't take it out on us."
[/color] With that, Nightmare sighed. Guess he was going to have to take this whole thing and make the situation work out for them. "Fairy, use your white magic on the beast and then shoot it. Human, hit it again." (OOC: The tremortouch has my name on it, but the text and effects puts it under Midna. Assuming it is striking Midna and not me)
Titania was glad she wasn't having the energy sucked out of her anymore. That hurt a bit. Nighty was doing his thing, being leader of a combat squad wasn't her cup of tea anyway. Being a good little queen, she obeyed orders and did as she was told. She fired an arrow straight at the Drosslord, then began to unleash her white magic as a holy ball of light, streaking through the air, heading straight for the Drosslord.

The creature seemed to have been feeling his strikes. It was a good thing, and he knew that if he kept attacking, that soon they would knock the creature back into darkness. Standing in front of the creature, Jin lifted his two arms and swung his arms upward, his left then his right fist rising up. He wanted to keep striking the beast until it fell. "Sorry Mysterious voice, this thing is annoying!" Jin said, calling out, looking around. Actions: Both Actions used to attack. |

Midna hissed as she felt of the affliction ravaging through her imp form at the beast's touch. That thing was going to pay in full! Her fists clenched up tightly as she pulled through the pain, and cried out. With one swoop up, and uprooted from the earth, the Twilight Princess lifted the four trees out from the ground. Taking in a deep breath, her lone carmine eyes flickered maliciously at the creature, finally taking the initiate to strike the abomination down. For one quick second, they floated up within the air as she took aim.
With a flick of her wrist, she sent all four trees straight at the Drosslord, in attempt to smash it up. Apparently, the stupid beast didn't get the memo, someone had to remind the creature that Hyrule was going green. The beast would have to contribute to the movement, and why not give him a helping hand, eh?
Action
- Lifted all of the trees from the extension, rammed all four at the drosslord

The Drosslord buckled under the weight of all the attacks aimed at it, faltering first from the trees, then Jin's attack, Nightmare's barrage, and even Titania's arrow seemed to wound it. Its body seemed to be decomposing, and strangely, a bright, white light was shooting out of it, escaping through the gaps in its body. The Drosslord started to descend towards the earth, before the Dark Sun finally reached its Zenith, hitting the top ring. All of the black energy collapsed to a point the size of a pea, and then suddenly, it expanded violently, preparing to ....
Drop a huge-ass laser on the Drosslord. The Drosslord's greatest attack backfired, dealing only damage to itself, and just like that, the great monstrosity was defeated. It shivered, and then the pieces of scrap that made up its body started to collapse, falling apart piece by piece, until enough fell away and the whole thing broke apart and tumbled to the ground. Just like that, the Drosslord was dead.
However, before it died completely, a huge beacon of white light shot out from the center of the creature, and it raised to about five feet in the air ... the dark shard of the Trident was recalling what it knew of the Master Sword, and was turning its own dark power to something different ... something new. The nascent form attracted the purest bits of metal that had been in the Drosslord towards it, melted them down, surrounding itself with them, and there was another flash of light.
A large, metallic casing fell to the ground, leaving only a pure, silver orb. The seal cracked, and out of it emerged a small, struggling creature, attempting to get to its feet. For a while, it struggled, and finally found its footing, before it looked to the sky and squaked helplessly, looking for someone to follow.
What was clear, though, was that the shard that had been inside the Drosslord now rested inside this younger creature, the Drossling. It slowly began to walk towards the nearest thing that looked familiar, the huge, menacing dragon that had been the most significant factor in the Drosslord's destruction. It looked up at the dragon with its wide, multi-colored eyes, and squaked hopefully, staring, before it opened its hinged mouth and voiced:
"Fa ... ther?"
Nightmare is the MVP! Everyone will be rewarded, though, but Nightmare gets to choose if he wants to get a unique Drossling shard, or if he just wants to kill the adorable little guy and rip out his shard. Either way, the choice is up to Night! You can all post once, during which Night will make his choice, then I'll post again and distribute rewards. |

Jin felt so very good. They had won. He removed the ring and held it in his hand. He had to return it, it wasn't his. However, something else was happening. From the ruins of the Drosslord, there was something else. Something new. Something a little innocent. Something... well...
Cute in a weird metallic way.
Jin walked over to it, not getting to close, bending down to get a better look at it before he smiled. It had spoken, looking at Night and saying a simple word. "Awwww it thinks you are its daddy! Thats so cute!" Jin said, smiling at Night before he fell backward, sitting down and letting out a sigh.
It was surprising... fighting a huge beast that drained you of your life was really a tiring thing. "Ahh... Ordon Village is safe... we did it."

Titania breathed a huge sigh of relief as the Drosslord fell as a result of their combined efforts.
"Well, that was exciting, wouldn't you agree Nighty?" Before a response could emerge, a small little metallic creature emerged. Titania squealed slightly.
"Aww, it's so cute!" She wanted to reach out and cuddle it, but it seemed to react to Nightmare's presence. She felt slightly bummed out, as she did want to keep it, but it had made its decision. Instead, she decided to start healing up any wounds that may have accumulated that she didn't already take care of. Her, Midna, and Jin would be healed up before long.

A smile formed upon her lips watching with delight as the beast began to fall apart. Piece by piece began to collapse onto the ground until the Drosslord was nothing more but a pile of vile, and scraps. However her attention was quickly diverted from the beast towards her own condition. Her imp form could not sustain itself for long due to the amount of strain she placed on her small frame. Swallowed up in the shadows, twilight matter broke her body apart, before returning back together, submerging a new image to disclose towards her companions.
A tall, slender, blue-tinted woman replaced the mischievous imp's place however she was far from gone. No, it was Midna's true form appearing now~ This woman could be considered beautiful, and not to mention give Twinrova a run for their rupees. She had to admit that she was quite surprise that she could sustain her form for that long, but it wasn't enough to keep it up until the very end, she supposed.
The Twilight Princess has made her first appearance in her true form.
Midna flinched with the whole beacon of light shooting out from the heart of the creature until a sphere formed from the collection of the pure materials. Appearing out of the confinements of the sphere was an strange, if not adorable, new being from the carcass of what once was the Grievous General.
An eyebrow quirked up as she watched as the poor thing struggled to get up off of it's feet. She couldn't restrain the giggles that escaped from her slender lips. She took a few steps forward until she reached the lines across the ground that divided the light and shadows of the forest. To keep her out of harm's way from the hostile sunlight against her body. The tiny tike seemed to have given it's attention towards the dragon. Interesting~
"So what are you going to do with it, Oh~ Mighty Dragon?" she inquired crossing her arms over her chest. Her head tilting to the side as she anticipated an answer. She couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment that all of the work amounted to nothing in the end. She found nothing. Not even the slightest clues as to where her precious treasure is from this mess.
Where could it be? Who had it in their possession?

As the Drosslord fell after... killing itself, Nightmare couldn't help but feel a wave of satisfaction as it completely collapsed. However, what happened shortly after was strange. An adorable little metallic creature waddled up to him, while he was a dragon, and called him father. Nightmare transformed into his human appearance, making sure to get a good look at the thing while swiping his ring back from Jin. And then he heard Midna speak. Looking over, he was... a little surprised at what he saw. He had gotten used to her being an imp, this new form was not that. He wouldn't admit it to the Twilight Princess, but she really seemed to have a beauty form of her own. However, her goading him on made him double check. Originally, he was just going to kill the thing out of the logical conclusion that it could turn into the Drosslord again, but now that she brought it up, it made him think a little. Made him remember some fairly awful things he had to do in order to get to where he was today. "Come, doll."
"No! No! No! No! No! No!" Right.
[/center] In all honesty, it was that that would allow him to rip the shard out if he wanted to. But... he figured he'd decide against it. If the Drossling ever became the Drosslord again, then as long as Nightmare treated it well, it wouldn't try to kill him, right? "If you're so curious, I think I'll keep him.""... I'll name him Shooter."Picking up the Drossling, he held it in his arms before transforming into a dragon again, gently holding the tiny creature in one of his talons. He still had one other thing he would do before he left. He started to take off the ground, he had his ring, he had his prize, he had everything he came in with and even left with something new, but why not leave with something else new? As he started to fly off, he turned towards Midna and divebombed her. It might seem like that he was just flying low to scare her, but in actuality, he was aiming a nice swipe at her. Namely, grab her in a talon and fly off with the Twilight Princess. He kinda wondered how she'd take to that.[/size][/blockquote][/justify] (Chose Drossling) |

As the monstrosity was defeated, the villagers finally emerged.
Young and old, strong and weak, all came out to celebrate their rescuers, while the mayor gave them all rupees.
All of them, that was, except the dragon. When he charged at Midna, all of the villagers scattered and panicked, running back to their houses as at least half of them thought, in unison,
Not again.
So ... well done! Ta-da!
Stuff enabling people to get them their very own shards will be up soon! Everyone except Night (because he got a nice big special reward) gets 75 rupees! Don't spend them all in one place. For the record, Night would've been able to get a regular shard if he chose to rip the Drossling's little heart out, but he didn't. Good on him. The Drossling is an item that Night can add to his inventory and use whenever he pleases, so without further ado....
The Drossling
Adorable little critter, isn’t he? For such a small guy, the Drossling is fairly tough, and has three levels of health; while he can be targeted by enemies, any damage he takes above moderate from any one attack is automatically reduced to moderate. But all those lights on him aren’t just for show. As a matter of point the little guy contains within him raw, unadulterated power, and while it may take a more direct path in the future, for now he only knows to do whatever he’s told. Whenever his owner has an action which does not damage, protect, heal, or buff/debuff anyone, the Drossling will be able to take one action, whenever his owner chooses, as long as it isn't on the same turn that the Drossling received that slot. When he does so is completely up to his owner, but he can only ever have one action available to him; after he uses one action, he cannot do anything until he gains another one. When he does, he may take one of three actions; these actions are, again, at the choice of his owner.
Pure Chaos: The gem resting in its nose glowing black as a brief warning, the Drossling summons an explosion of magical energy on its target, dealing heavy damage, and knocking them in or out of range, as its owner chooses.
Widespread Destruction: The Drossling lets out a small cry, then the gem on its nose glows a bright red and forked lightning streaks from the sky, striking as many targets as its owner chooses for moderate damage; it cannot target any one enemy more than once. All targets suffer a disorienting effect, as well; in LS, this means they cannot Guard or Manoeuvre in their next post.
Heart of Virtue: The Drossling is bound fiercely to its master, and will give anything up for that individual to continue fighting. The Drossling lets out a low, gentle chirp, then the gem in its nose glows brightly green, then black, then white again: after it does so, the Drossling loses all health, while its owner receives massive healing. If this healing would restore them past their normal health, any extra health is instead transferred to a light-shield, which will block as much damage as extra health would have been produced, before it is destroyed (it basically gives him extra health). |

Titania accepted the rupees from the mayor with a smile and a firm handshake. "Happy to help. Good day to you all." She then transformed into her magnificent ball of purple glowing happiness and flew away, looking at the townspeople, wondering if they had ever seen a fairy do that before. EXIT[/i][/u] |

Jin accepted the rupees, waving to Night as the dragon flew off with the small creature. The battle was won, the day was saved, Jin was several rupees richer, and now he could get his stuff and rest for a few more hours. As he left the field, he made sure to keep the location in mind, for he decided that after he had slept, he would return. The Drosslord came from the mess, and it seemed to be in anger and anguish, so Jin wanted to clean up and turn it into a nice place for birds and small animals. Exit |

Watching him revert back to his human form, his choice to keep the little critter brought a hint of delight in the princess. She began to hold some form of respect for the dragon, showing that he could be a gentleman and not heartlessly kill off the thing. While drawing blood could be kinky in it's own right, and under the right circumstances, senseless murder was highly frowned upon.
Midna grinned. She raised her hands up in front of her and started clapping. The sound of her palms smacking into one another was crisp, and audible. "The badass is a sucker for cute things," she couldn't help herself. It was so endearing that it made the Twilight Princess want to hurl. Perhaps that was a bit much for an exaggeration.
She accepted the rupees from the mayor, not quite sure how Light Realm currency would help her, but money was money, she supposed. Deep down she was still quite disappointed that the day amounted to no leads, no clues, no nothing as to where to point her in order to find her precious item. Where the hell did those bastards take it? How frustrating! A small sight escaped from her full lips.
Though her disappointment would have to be put on hold as she noticed the man revert back to his dragon form. As he ascended to the sky, Night turned tail and headed straight towards her. Her eyes narrowed as she tensed up, taken off guard by his assault, worried he might attack her. However that didn't seem to be the case at the moment~ Midna widened her eyes as she watched as his talon came sweeping up and nabbed her from where she stood. "What..." she gasped, having a bit of her breath knocked out of her.
What made it worse was the fact that neither Titania or Jin bothered to stop the dragon from stealing the Twilight Princess, and left the twili woman in the hands of the beast. Those jerks!
