Casual Stroll (Open)

[Jin Reno]

Jin wondered around the strange city-fortress thing that he had found out on his adventure, walking between places and seeing a collection of strange pirates and Gerudo women. He looked a little strange too, but no one seemed to really notice him too much yet. Saying that, it seemed to many as if he was simply a new crew member or something of the sort, but he really didn't know where he was. In fact, he didn't even know that this sort of place had existed until about 30 minutes ago.

He was fully ready for an adventure, dressed in his gear with his face wrapped up in the tan cloth, his bucklers on his arms, and his shield on his back. He had allowed the sea to take him and the little boat he had out to sea and for a while he had no idea where he was or how he even got here. Yet when his boat hit what looked like a half mountain in the water, Jin's adventure sensors exploded with excitement and he began to climb. He continued to climb till he had reached the top, only to look down upon a strangely shaped city in the middle of the mountain.

It was his climb down and swim to the city that took the time, but when he arrived he was pleased with himself. He dried himself off quickly and set out about the town, Lisa resting in his messenger bag with Sasha as he wondered about. Sure, he got a few stares, but Jin was having fun in the adventure in the strange city, seeing a few faces that felt a little familiar, but he couldn't place them. "Hmm... lets see what I can get too eat around here." He said to himself, entering a small pub he had stumbled across.

Once inside, he made his way to the bar and ordered some meat and some rum. Jin didn't often drink, but he certainly had fun when he did.

Ruma was already in the bar, enjoying a nice meal after performing some updates on the Defiant. It was a typical bar scene, she wasn't really into that kind of thing, but this was a good place for her to eat. They treated her well here, probably because they knew she was a Dragmire and no one wanted to earn the wrath of Merik.

She finished up not long after the out-of-place human showed up and began to eat. She left the money on the table as the staff began to clean up. Her eyes found their way to Jin and she did a double-take. She had never seen him here before. Others appeared to be suspicious but didn't act on it. So she decided to take it upon herself to see what this man was doing here.

Taking a seat at the bar next to Jin, she looked over to him and smiled. "Hi. Haven't seen you here before." She waved off the bartender, not a heavy drinker. It affected her ability to work on her projects. She couldn't hold alcohol very well either.

[Jin Reno]

Jin blinked when he heard a voice, his mouth was free from the tan cloth hand the bottle of rum was pressed against his lips as he took a big sip. Putting the bottle down and letting out a relaxed sigh, he turned to find the owner of the voice, seeing a Gerudo girl sitting next to him. "Hi! I haven't seen you here before either." Jin said, a smile on his face for a moment before he returned to the meal in front of him, taking a bite of the meat and swallowing it before turning back to her.

"My name is Jin. I am an adventurer! Whats your name?" He asked, offering a mostly gloved hand to her with the intention of shaking her hand. He used his free hand to pinch off two pieces of meat, and put them into his bag where Lisa and Sasha both got their fill of food for the moment. "You not drinking? At least go for some milk or something... its hot out there today." He added, scratching his nose a bit. He wasn't thinking he had done anything wrong, or that he was out in the area that Pirates owned. The man found adventure.

Adventure led to a mysterious place. The mysterious place had food. Jin was hungry. Same old story about boy meets food, boy falls in love with food, and boy eats food sharing it with a small tortoise and a mini deku baba. "I have to say though, its really impressive here, with all the ships and weapons and some of the cool technology."

Ruma turned as he mentioned it was his first time here. Some of the pirates in attendance had taken notice, but she waved them off from behind Jin. He didn't need to know that he was trespassing, and that he might die from being here. For now, she ignored his hand, still unsure of men.

"Yes, but unlike you I frequent this area. You're a new face, but people know me. I'm Ruma. I already had my fill of milk for now. Like I said, I'm here often, so heat doesn't really bother me."

Her eyes lit up when he mentioned the technology in the cove. Then again, saying the word technology was enough to make her eyes light up like lanterns. "You like the tech around here? I developed most of it. Still not my best work, but it functions at peak performance regularly. Requires little maintenance. I'm still trying to get one of these ships in the air, but I can't find a sufficient energy supplier to make it work. I can get a miniature craft in the air temporarily, but that can't transport more than just bugs." Now she had taken his hand and shook it heartily. "What about you? What have you developed in your time?"

[Jin Reno]

Shrugging when she didn't give his hand a shake Jin went back to eating his food, making sure not to eat too much so what he could respond if she asked him anything. The pirates moving behind him was unheard for now, and he was a little too distracted with enjoying the meal that the bartender had presented him. He took another sip of rum and turned to face Ruma. "Oh? You must know a lot about this area. I was bored and just climbed over the mountain and saw this place. And you can never be too careful when it comes to heat. Its not as bad as the desert but its close."

"Flying ships?" The idea of that just made Jin's eyes light up and it was one of the most amazing things he had heard about. "You made most of the technology here? Amazing! I wish I could build things, but I never learned how. I would love too make cool things! As for flying ships, can't you just ask how the Oocca keep their buildings in the air? It would be easier if the same tech stuff was used in ships?" He asked, before rubbing his chin. "How'd you be able to control the ships when they are flying? Up and down and turning and such?" Jin also asked. The entire idea seemed just too amazing to let it be passed up in casual conversation.

He thought for a moment and then spoke, "Do you have those hand held grappling hook things that can pull you toward objects? Umm.. Hookshots I think? Wouldn't those be helpful to move between ships as well as performing any maintenance on them if it came to it?"

"Yep. I'm gonna get one of them in the air. The idea is to advance the wheel of the ship to be able to control thrusters positioned in the rear of the hull. The thrusters, in turn, could power the ship up down whatever. The oocca don't have the directional commands, they just have a float mechanism. It could get a ship in the air, but that would be it. It also requires an incredible amount of energy, which is what the thrusters are going to be using anyway. It works for them, but not for this." Ruma got to the point where she was rambling. Man, woman, Gerudo, Deku, anyone who was interested in Tech was enough for Ruma.

"Hookshots? No, I use suction power to keep myself on objects to perform the necessary maintenance. Hookshots and clawshots dig into the objects, and just make my job that much more tedious. Suction works much better, although you have to be really careful to not fall, and you need the right surface. Luckily the ships are kept well enough that I can climb anywhere on the ship and perform what is needed." Her tone seemed to get more and more excited as she continued to talk. She began to talk with her hands, as well as talking in a much more upbeat tone. Even a little thing like suction was a great topic for her. The science of it all was so wonderful.

Jin thought about what she was saying, trying to imagine the ship as she spoke about it. Thrusters was something a bit new too him, but he got the jist of what she meant, at the very least. Something that would push out heat or air or something that would cause it too rise, fall, and turn. "So what you need is something completely different and energy efficient to be stored upon a ship, probably something that is much larger then an average Caravel so it has enough space for the energy source, the modifications to the ship itself, and room for the crew. Would you add wings to the ship? Not for them to flap but to stabilize them while in the air? They could also be used to help use the wind to raise and lower the ship."

"Suction power? Like drinking through a straw? Does it work like the hookshot or clawshot and can be launched from a distance, or do you need to be right against the surface. As for the digging into the objects, what if you used a clawshot and covered certain areas of the ship in a metal mesh for the clawshot to latch onto, instead of the ship? Also, if you have any clawshots just laying around I want one..." Jin added the last bit, smiling at her like a kid asking his parents for candy. "Wait... do you do maintenance on the sails of the ships with the suction power thing? Or do you just climb up there... Also, will this ship of your still have sails?" He was getting just as into the conversation as she was, forgetting that he had ordered food and rum.

Ruma was glad he was enjoying it. She always got blank stares when she tried to explain it to her cousins. They just wanted to know if she planned on destroying the fortress.

"Well it's not quite like a ship that's made port in the harbor here. It's a different kind of ship. It only seats two, and you have to be seated. I didn't bring my blueprints but basically it's a large metal bird. Yes it has wings, but no they don't flap. It's designed to bring a pair of people a great distance in a short time, as opposed to carrying a full crew. That's why the primary thruster ignition is such a big deal. With a large engine you could almost literally throw sand in there and get it to run, although you would need a great deal of sand. With this model the primary ignition must still be very small, but pack a huge amount of energy. So far I need too much of the product, an amount I can't store in the airship itself. However, I believe my cousin has an item that can produce the amount of power needed to run the ignition process and get her off the ground." That shard was the key to getting this to work. Only that would have the amount of power needed. But there was almost one more option she hadn't tried.

"Yeah, it's not unlike a straw. You do need to be right on the object you're attaching yourself to, but once you're on you can climb just like an insect. It's not a particularly ingenious invention, as like you said a straw has that power, but the ability to climb along a smooth surface is invaluable with some of the work I have to do. And no, I removed the chain from my last hookshot to repair one of my training robots." Even if she did have a leftover hookshot, she wasn't going to give it to a man. Especially one she just met. What a ludicrous concept.

[Jin Reno]

"So you want a bird shaped ship to fit two people that need to be seated, that once the power source has fuel, will launch it from one spot to another very quickly. It won't be too big, but big enough to house the thruster and ignition. The problem is getting an energy source that is small enough not to cause any more unneeded weight. That does seem like an issue, but who ever your cousin is I am glad they can help you with this! I think it'd be amazing to see that in flight though... a ship flying through the sky quickly. It'd certainly revolutionize travel across Hyrule if you could get it to work and land safely." He said, his head full of ideas about flying from one point to another.

"Just because its not all that ingenious doesn't mean its not wonderful. I doubt many people could even dream about doing something like that!" He said, staring at Ruma with a smile. The next part of what she said he felt a little sad, but something else came into his mind and he stared at the woman. "Robot? What is a robot? I want to see this training robot now... what does it train to do anyhow?" Jin asked, rubbing his chin again, trying to figure out what a robot could possibly be. All he could imagine was a paddle from a row boat.

"I want a hookshot... I think it'd help me go on more adventures."

[ruma]

"Yeah, it's not a big problem, but it's an important one. If only cuz would let me use his ring, I could get it in the air. It's unfortunate, but I know I'll get what I need eventually, even if it isn't from him."

She nodded when he told her he knew nothing of robots. She was the only one she knew who had built any. "They're like dummies, except I can get them to move and perform basic actions. Back at the fortress we use them for training exercises, since you can go all out against them, unlike a real person, and they move, unlike a straw dummy. Usually their actions are only as complex as move and attack, but they pack a punch if they hit. I'm getting better at building them, which helps. But there's only so much I can do, and sometimes the warriors really put some nice dents into them." Her robots were probably her greatest working accomplishments. She had more radical ideas in the making but they weren't done yet.

"And I'm sure all of your adventures are as life-threatening as this one. She just added that little bit in there to help him realize that in a flash 30 beautiful golden-eyed redheads could be digging their spears into him.

[Kotone]

Kotone does not have time to rest as she the bodyguard of Marik. She get reports in and she have to handle them. Well one of the gerudo ships made its round and found a boat. She was taken out to the site where they found the boat and at once sign them to take apart or sink the boat. She started to follow the tracks up the mountain or crater. As soon she reach the top she soon saw where the person was heading. It seem someone had found their location. Oh the way back down she wipe the tracks then rode the pirate boat back in to the docks.

She went on her way as she went asking if there was anyone knew or anyone that not post to be here with her gestures. It seem people have seen someone new. They pall pointed to one way. Which lead to a bar in which Merik normally got his drinks from. She knew it from heart as she tend not to go in there as she cause a lot of trouble. She enter the bar as she looked around looking are everyone. Most she already knew and looked away from her even the bartender did not pay no mind to her. She was use to it all but she saw her cousin or sister talking to someone.

That someone she did not know and was now her target. She held on her pole arm dagger as she walked up behind the guy as she put the dagger up from behind him to the guy's neck. She did not have to explain her actions to her cousin as to her this was normal. Another person that not post to know about their hide away village unless they are a pirate.

[Jin Reno]

"Robots sound amazing!" Jin said, truly excited about the idea of training dummies that fought back, even if it was limited interactions so far. "Can I try training against one sometime? It sounds like it'd be very fun too do and I would like to be able to fight without worrying about hurting someone in just a sparring match." He added, smiling at Ruma. However, it was her other comment that made things seem to go a little sour, and he was having such a good time too. "Well, I've found the fountain of youth with the King of Gerudos, I battled against a ghostly machine with the Monster Emperor and the Fairy Queen. I've been in a lot of battles and adventures, but I have always made it out of them."

Jin could hear Sasha snapping, and he held up the bottle of rum he had, seeing the reflection of Kotone and other pirates behind him, no longer waiting for Ruma to be finished. It seemed as if his time here was now borrowed time, and Jin took a small sip of the rum before nodding to Ruma. "It's been fun... but I think I have to run now." He added before tossing the bottle up into the air and bringing his buckler into the bottle fast enough to shatter it, sending shards of glass and the rum flying backward as a distraction. His next movement was a forward lean then a roll to the side before he launched himself out of one of the bar windows, rolling a little bit before running through the bay.

"Well, the robots don't leave the fortress and we don't usually allow men around there except for cuz, so you'll have to talk to him about that." She looked over, seeing Kotone start to come up from behind, poised to take out the intruder. She motioned for her to stop, since she had the situation under control, but of course it was too little too late as she had pounced and Jin broke the bottle as a distraction. She quickly slipped her visor down to protect her eyes from the glass and sighed.

"I would ask you about your methods, but right now you can just charge after your prey. And we were having such a nice conversation." She nodded to be bartender, who triggered the alarm system to let people know there was danger occurring. Another little invention of hers. Now he probably wouldn't get far. She hustled out of the bar, wondering how long it would be before he was caught.

She did make one announcement though. "Bring the intruder to me ALIVE!" was the order. She typically didn't order people around but this time she wanted to talk to the intruder.

[Kotone]

Kotone barely stop as her sister held her hand out but as she did the guy broke some glass and ran off. She grid her teeth a bit looking at her cousin. She knew she like to talk and all but there was a point not let stranger on to their home. The Pirate bay been their home since they left about 5 to 6 years ago. They did not want their home to be found out or stolen from. Lucky Kotone did not get anything in her eyes thought there was a cut on her cheek from some glass. She listen to her sister for a second then jump threw the window the guy went threw.

She went on her chase as she knew she can caught him. Even if she could not the guy had no place to run. The whole bay was fill with people that can take him down. As they are all mostly loyal to Merik and the gerudo and are part of their pirate crew or family. The alarm went off. That dan thing was noise as hell. Heck the whole place would know something was up and if that did not do it it was Ruma's voice after words. Kotone would now have little chance to get to the guy now as the other would try to get to him now.

[Jin Reno]

Jin ran down the street, one hand on his bag to keep it from bouncing around too much and the other helping him keep momentum. He could hear the footsteps of his pursuers and had to just keep moving. A turn onto another street was met with the sounds of a loud alarm, one that caused Jin to freeze where he was standing for a moment. Did it come on because he was walking into a closed off area?

However, when the familiar voice of Ruma make the order for him to be captured alive, he felt a little better. Granted, Jin really didn't want to be caught right now, and he started to run, feeling something strike against his back before an arrow shot past his leg. "Gah!" He cried, and quickly turned a corner, running along the streets and trying to figure out how he was supposed to get to the docks.

Not only was Pirate Bay huge, it had multiple floors too it, and Jin wanted to get as low as he could. If he could steal one of the Pirate's boats to escape, he'd be glad. Looking around him, Jin quickly dived into a small alleyway to catch his breath, panting silently. "Lisa... Armor." He whispered, two lights shooting from his bag and covering his arms from shoulders to fingers in an armor. For the moment, he would rest here before continuing.

Ruma ran out trying to find Jin. She wasn't as athletic as the other Gerudo but she had some help. Her knowledge of the Pirate's Bay was extensive and she knew he wasn't going to get far. She wasn't used to barking out orders but sometimes she was pushed into that spot.

"Get some forces to defend the boats. No one leaves the harbor until he is found. Kotone...nah you don't need orders. Just do what you're good at, and remember, do not kill him." If only she had some sort of tracking beacon or listening device or something on him, that would be great. Instead she had to settle for orders and the eyes and ears of the many Gerudo in the area. "You!" she pointed to two guards close by. " Tell Merik he need not be involved. Kotone and I have the problem well in hand. You! Go make sure the guards know to bring him to me once he is subdued." She then ran off towards the harbor, expecting him to try and find a spare boat to leave with.

[Kotone]

Kotone ignored her sister for the most part and went on her way. She did not need robots or anything that Ruma made for this. No she was Merik's bodyguard. She was one of the most skill female gerudo alive. She had to be as there was no choose in the matter. Because of this no one would get away form her. Even more so she send to listen to sound more then anything.

With so many of the pirate going off to the harbor the area was clearing out. However it made it easier on her as she found a trail of blood which was leading to an alley way. She saw a flash of light and the mood or what Kotone call music in the area changed. She creep up slowly to the ally then went in with pole arm out. Her lips moved saying 'Stay where you are' but no sound came out. Kotone was mute after all. She could not scream or laugh she could barely whistle.

[Jin Reno]

Jin stood back up and looked at the Gerudo woman, seeing how it was the same woman who had come up from behind him in the bar, and he smiled. However, she seemed to speak, but Jin had no idea what she was trying to say, but whatever it was it didn't matter. He took a few steps back and looked around him, for possible escape routes out of the alleyway. He could see a small window that he wouldn't be able to fit into, a wall at his back made out of wood and the ground itself was made out of wood as well.

Jin stamped his foot a few times and cracked his knuckles at the Gerudo before lowering his stance a bit, at first seeming to go into a defensive stance. "Let's play a bit longer..." He said with a smile, and punched the ground hard, the wood cracking a bit. The noise was loud, but Jin hadn't broken into the ground yet. Jin aimed another strike against the ground a little bit away from his first strike. If the Gerudo woman hadn't realized his plan yet, then she wouldn't realize it until it was too late.

Ruma had been hustling to the point of being a bit tired. Gerudo training was never her strong suitand she had not the endurance or strength of the other women. What she did have, despite all the banging that went off around her was good hearing, and suddenly she heard two loud pangs on the wood not far away. She began to run there, and after a few seconds found her sister confronting Jin. She quickly drew her pistol and aimed at Jin.

"Jin, stand down. Stop making things difficult and maybe you'll be able to walk out of here on your own legs." Her voice made the threat sound so faked, but while she said to take him in alive, she said nothing about how alive. Two broken legs was still alive, after all.

Kotone knew what he was doing as she was not dumb. If he wanted to fall threw the wood floor then she let him. However she will help out as she knew what was under them. she be willing to help him as she took her pole arms and smash it in to the floor cracking it. So if they might moved or hit the ground once more they both go.

Of course by that time her cousin up from behind as she eyes widen a bit. She could not tell her not to come forward. Of course it was to late as she came lose putting more weight on the wood making it all fall threw. The three of them would fall to the floor below with out much warning. Kotone was screaming but no sound came out. She was worried about her sister in fear she might get hurt during the fall.
