Casual Stroll (Open)

[Jin Reno]

If Ruma took the time to look at Jin's body, she would be able to see several scars along his torso and arms, wounds from the time that he traveled through the desert, trying to escape from it to get free. "Ahh, I am stronger then most people, and I can take a few hits and be just fine." He said, wincing a bit as the bandages were tied up.

Jin blinked when he was told to hold off on Adventuring. "I really don't want to hold off on adventuring... its fun..." He said, almost like a child. He rubbed his face a bit, putting Lisa onto his lap before sighing, flinching a bit too. "Well, since adventuring seems to be out of the question for a bit for me, we could go and see these robots of yours, right?" Jin asked, a little hopeful. It might not be an adventure with action and danger, but it held its own adventurous qualities.

The medic nodded, finished up and pat Jin on the back, a little bit harder then needed, just to make Jin flinch a bit before giving a nod to Ruma and leaving the two alone once more. "Um.. So how's Merik?" Jin asked, not sure what to say now that the two were alone again.

Ruma looked back at Jin. He'd seen his fair share of battles, of course. The scars told that story well enough. As the medic left the room, leaving the two of them alone, she looked back to him, smiling.

"Getting you around the fortress might be tough. We don't typically let males in, aside from Merik. Although an exception could be made, though that would require me to talk to Merik. Speaking of which, he's doing ok. We had a scare concerning him and the queen of fairies recently, but that seemed to be settled without too much incident. No blood was spilled at least. My cousin despises the fairy queen, it's a personal thing, nothing you need to concern yourself with." Ideas were floating around in her head, but she said none of them. It would be inappropriate, they had only met that day after all.

"So? How should we get you into the fortress? You're too slender and lack the right assets to play a guard, and I don't know how good of a prisoner you'd be. To get you in as honored guest I'd have to pull some strings. What do you think?"

[Jin Reno]

Jin listened to what Ruma had to say, going over the potential plans that she had about getting him into the Fortress. "Huh? So that girl doesn't like Titania? Funny." Jin said, wondering what might of happened, but not particularly interested in pursuing it further since Ruma didn't say anything else on the subject. "Its good that they are all ok then." He said, rubbing his head a bit and smiling at her.

"As for getting me in... I don't think disguise or being a prisoner would work... don't want to get executed for just wanting to spend some time looking around the fortress..." Jin said, rubbing his neck, the image of him being beheaded entering his thoughts for a moment. "How about we just ask Merik? Lets say that its sort of like... a peaceful tour through the fortress to increase Human and Gerudo relationship? The Gerudo King being friendly with the Human Gentry and all that?" Jin suggested, slowly putting his multiple layer of clothes back on.

Ruma pondered the idea. Sure, asking Merik to let Jin into the fortress would be safest and probably easiest, it didn't seem very Jinlike.

"I'll talk to Merik about it. I'm sure he won't mind. He may look tough but at heart he's a big softy. He'd make an exception if it was for his cousin. Although I don't know how well his human-gerudo relations are. In fact, I hear tell the Champion is quite the tech whiz herself. As a gentry can you confirm or deny that?" Unfortunately Jin probably didn't know to derail Ruma's train of thought before it spiraled out of control. Or maybe he's a fast learner.

[Jin Reno]

Jin flinched again, holding his ribs for a moment. "Man... you have no idea how much a cracked rib can hurt when you do the simplest movements..." He said softly, taking a few short breaths before getting to his feet. As she talked, Jin looked around the room, trying to find his stuff, wanting to leave as soon as they could.

"Hmm? Oh, oh yeah. Seraphina is a big tech person. Apparently she is even working on a secret lab somewhere. I am sure she'd be interested in all the tech stuff you are doing and... I have a feeling you would be interested in her work too." He said, giving her a smile and looking around him now. "Ah... well, we can say that the reason is to see about possible trade between blue prints and certain minerals for creating new technology to help Hyrule... and I wouldn't mind saying hi to Merik again, if possible." Jin added.

"Where did they take my stuff..." Jin muttered, not seeing his shields or his bag. "Ah... we can't leave now... can we... I have to have my sentence figured out first... right?" He asked, hoping it wouldn't take long.

Ruma couldn't help but sadistically giggle at his pain. Seeing him move so effortlessly seemed like an eternity ago. She offered him a hand to help him balance himself out.

"So Seraphina is a techie. I knew you had to get your knowledge from somewhere, you don't seem like someone who would spend days sitting down and working on a project like myself. Well I think it's great that you have someone to learn from. I wish I had that, I have to learn on the fly. As for your sentence, we can say we're settling that with Merik. After all, you're a gentry and we can't go around killing people of status all willy-nilly, as much as Kotone might want to. As for your stuff, they probably have it in storage. Come with me." They would be traveling together fr the time being. Ruma had no complaints about that, time with Jin would be time well spent.

"So does Seraphina outfit you guys? If she has a lab and plenty of access to tech, as I assume she would, she could probably outfit you guys with some powerful weapons and armor. But you seem to travel light, your weapons are simple and your armor is evidently a turtle on your head. I do everything I can to help the Gerudo stay up-to-date. Smelt new polearm blades, reforge their daggers, every little bit helps when you're as unpopular as we are."

[Jin Reno]

"Thanks." He said to her, softly, and still a little unsure about how she was treating him. "Well... for a good 20 years... nevermind." Jin said, muttering the last part and not wanting to get into his past right now.

"She does have a lot of interest in using magic, tech, and alchemy to help protect not just the humans, but Hyrule itself. I'm sure you've heard of the strange happenings and the powerful monsters that have appeared, so we are trying to figure out ways to protect the small towns without having to turn every able-bodied person into a full warrior. We might not have the time." He said, figuring that sharing the plan to help defend innocent people wouldn't be bad.

"And hey, who knows, if this entire thing goes well with me being able to explore the fortress, with you and another Gerudo as a guide, maybe we could possibly talk about you being able to meet and work with Seraphina for a bit, it definitely wouldn't hurt for our races to work together more." Jin said with a smile, and then nodded. "I like that, it gets us out of here and toward the fortress quickly... but I have a feeling I am going to be escorted out in a less then friendly manner."

Jin shrugged at Ruma's next question. "Well, my stuff are things I've either found or have a connection too, so I try not to get more then I need. If I did accept anything from her, it'd probably be a hookshot... you sure you don't have one I could have?" He asked with a smile. He knew he wouldn't get one, but if felt good to just joke a little bit. "I do think she may be focusing more on trying to help some of the small towns and settlements right now, but I know that we Gentries can more then take care of ourselves." Jin said proudly.

"As for you and the Gerudo not being too popular... well... I think it has a bit more to do with people's preconceptions of your race due to the history and the fact that many see you mostly as thieves or pirates. But it seems like, so far, each Gerudo I've met seems to be about protecting and providing for their sisters." He spoke softly now, not wanting to upset Ruma, but telling her what he thought.

"Um... so, Storage... does it have any hookshots?"

Ruma was secretly thrilled about one thing in particular. She hadn't been to storage in a while. Storage brought some interesting things to her lab.

"Yes the calamities have been making things quite hectic. I try not to let it interfere much with my tech. The fortress is well-fortified enough that I'm not worried for her people. I need to focus on making sure all the projects work." She led him into storage, where he would find his stuff on a table ready for pickup.

"I wouldn't mind working with someone at some point in the future. Seraphina would have a much easier time getting into the fortress. You're trip in might have to be a little rough, I'm sure it's nothing you can't handle. You're tough enough to handle a little rough behavior." She gave his rubs a little push, just to remind him of his injury. He was tough, he'll be fine.

She started to move through the room, checking storage for anything. "Let's see here. Storage always has a bunch of really good stuff. Mostly stuff we've seized from intruders. That's why I knew your stuff was here. There might be a hookshot, let me just...aha!" she pulled a hookshot out of one of the crates. "Here you are, a hookshot. She handed him the hookshot, but immediately pulled it back. "Wait a minute, this hookshot is broken. The trigger is broken. I'll have to take it back to the fortress and fix it. No big deal, this won't take long."

"That's just the thing.. most humans are simple people trying to live their lives out peacefully, while you Gerudo, without a doubt, are one of the more well protected races of Hyrule. You can survive the harshness of the desert, sail on the open seas, and still have more fighting skill in just your fortress then pretty much all the human settlements combined." Jin said, knowing that he had just made his own race seem weak, but it was the truth.

He entered into the storage room and opened his bag, pulling out the small, albino deku baba, who snapped at Ruma once before snapping up at Jin, obviously hungry. "Ruma, Sasha. Sasha, Ruma. This little deku baba was one of the first living things I remember encountering." He said, pulling out a small jar with bugs and giving one to the plant, watching as it ate its meal happily. With that taken care of, he began to attach his bucklers to the back of his larger shield, making them easier to carry without actually attaching them.

"A little rough? Why do I feel like I am going to be beaten up a little bit, poked and prodded, and who knows what else before I'm allowed in..." He said, smiling nervously at the impending possible pain he was going to deal with. With the little push, Jin took a sharp intake of air and bit his lip while the flash of pain rocketed through his side then subsided, "Yeah... I am tough enough, but it doesn't mean its a particularly fun thing to go through." He smiled at her, glad that they were getting along, even if it was a little bit strange.

As she looked around, Jin carefully slid his bag over his shoulder, followed by the bucklers and shield, glad that the strap only had to go across one side of his body. Jin watched Ruma and his eyes lit up when she pulled forth a hookshot, and he reached out for it, his hands trembling with excitement, but that was dashed for a moment when she pulled it away. "Aww... it's broken... but that you can fix it, that makes things much better!" He said with a smile.

"Ok, I have my stuff, do you have anything you need to grab before we begin to leave here?" Jin asked, enjoying the fact that he had all of his stuff and the weight of them all relaxed him.

Ruma kept her distance from the Deku Baba, but waved to it nonetheless. "Hi Sasha. You don't seem to like me very much but that's ok." She picked up a few pieces of scrap metal and put them in her bag.

After she had finished her salvaging, he twisted Jin's arm behind his back and pulled out a length of rope, taking Jin's other arm and tying it behind his back. "Sorry, Jin, but I can't just let you leave without doing this. It will arouse too much suspicion. It has to be like this. Now, let us be off to the fortress. We have an audience with the king." She gently pushed him forward, telling him to walk so that it would look convincing. While some would be surprised that Ruma was the one taking Jin away, no one would say enough to outright question it. Not Merik's cousin.

[Jin Reno]

"Sasha never likes anyone when she first meets them, but luckily she's smaller then a fist, so she won't hurt you." He said with a smile, before putting a small glass dome over the little deku, protecting it while he traveled. He couldn't help but wondering what the pieces of scrap metal was for, but it didn't seem like he had too much time to dwell on that.

His twisted his arm, literally, and he stood there for a moment, baffled and tried to look at her, before feeling his other arm pulled back as well and ropes being tied to them. "Well... this is certainly a new sensation." He muttered, a little confused.

Her explanation was quick, but it wasn't that hard to understand and he simply nodded his head. "I see... well, I am fine with it, though next time a bit of warning would have been nice." Jin said, trying to look back at her. With the small push, Jin began to walk, hanging his head a little bit, to make his position as a prisoner a bit more convincing, though the shields he carried and the tortoise on his head was sure to confuse some people.

"So... do you have a boat docked that we can use, or are we going to have to join another group leaving?" Jin asked, quietly though, when the number of Pirates around them was low.

Ruma didn't want to give him any advance warning. It was fun to surprise him with things like that.

"Caravans frequently go from the fortress to the cove and back. We'll hop on one of those. Be careful, because I will have to punish you if you talk out of line. Be a good prisoner." She continued to walk him along, being a little rough because she could.

"Move along, prisoner!" she barked at him, although after she giggled, since she couldn't bark orders well without breaking into laughter. Eventually she directed him to a caravan that was preparing to head back to the fortress.

"Room for two more?" They nodded and directed them to the middle of the caravan.

[Jin Reno]

"You're enjoying this... aren't you..." Jin muttered softly, letting out omphs when she treated him roughly, being his guard. "So we can leave through a caravan then?" Jin asked softly, trying to get over the fact that she seemed to enjoy parading him through the town. There wasn't much he could do right now but walk, but he trusted Ruma not to trick him or lead him astray.

As they came to the caravan, Jin felt a small wave of relief wash over him, and simply stood in silence, waiting for them to be allowed on. He walked, ahead of her, and found a small area in the middle of the caravan before he sat down and looked at his feet. At the moment, he had no idea how much longer he'd have to play prisoner, but he would continue the ruse until Ruma no longer thought it was necessary.

Ruma, as a Dragmire, was easily able to get a spot on a wagon. Her and Jin sat down next to each other. When they got a free moment, Ruma spoke. "Yes, I am enjoying this." She didn't know how much she would be able to say without someone overhearing, and so left it at that. She was having too much fun with it though, but had to keep her face straight while the caravan was on the road through the desert.

Eventually a pair of guards boarded the wagon and the caravan was off, back to the fortress, "prisoner" in tow.

Jin sat there and kept stealing glances at Ruma, smiling at her briefly before looking back down at his feet. He could only sit quietly as more people joined them and forced him to act more and more like a prisoner until soon he sat still, hoping no one decided to pick on him.
