THE JOTUN
That’s pretty Neat!Six days ago a Jotun emerged from the boundaries of the Peak Province. Since then, I have battled it continuously, tracked its movements, and attempted to trap it in its ignorance, and kill it in its sleep. It is a stupid, ignorant beast, and yet its size and strength prevails no matter the intellect placed behind each move. It is like playing chess against an opponent whom openly throws away your pieces. Winning is seemingly impossible.
Day 1, I hiked into the mountains to search for the Snow Capped Lotus, a rare and delicate flower that only blooms in the highest peaks of Peak Province. Upon the way up, I realized I had come across a large cave where I could spend the night and rest in safety. Setting up my camp behind a rather massive rock in the back, I did not start a fire at this time, and remained in the pure darkness. A mistake I would eventually come to regret.
Day 2, doing so, and the next morning I awoke to find a giant stumbling about, angry and confused. We were not high into the mountains, and sheep along with other mountainous animals filled the cave. I had not seen nor heard them before falling into my slumber, and thus quickly recapped my steps. I found the giant blocking the sheep from the entrance, and allowing them to leave one by one. Using the sheep as cover, I escaped the cave and prepared to continue my adventure. For reasons unknown to me, the Jotun killed his sheep in a sacrificial manner, and went into a storming rampage as a large quake shook the earth to its core.
Day 3, As it descended down the mountains, it ravaged country homes, and I had little choice but to try and halt its continuation of destruction. Taking my hammer with me, I tracked it down the mountains as it headed directly to Castle Town. The first night, I observed the beast as it slept, and looked for any openings in its body, such as major weaknesses. I found none.
Day 4, Early in the morning, before it woke, I attempted to stab its throat. I was not successful. It awoke, and remained with a stupid look upon itself. It was dumb but perceptive. Fleeing, I waited until later in the day to strike again. I evaded any major damage, however I did little damage to it, and it quickly regenerated. A dangerous ability no doubt, you must find a way around this.
Day 5, I spent all day and night fighting this monster before it reached a familiar part of Hyrule, my house, where my wife and son live. I battle it with all my might, for 12 hours I have held this wretched beast off. At Nightfall, I stalled it, and lured it further away. It followed me, angered whilst it regenerated.
Day 6 came, and here I am. I led the Jotun a long distance away from my house, and Castle Town. It is tired; it has gone all night without sleep. Life is fading from my body. With these words I finish writing, and use my only energy left to signal a Courier. I cannot ask but the strongest to stop this creature, and let my death save my family, and these innocent lives that are spread across the land. This beast is a monstrous thing, do not take it lightly. Wear it down, as I did, then finish it. Near the end, it began to stumble, and tire out. It is large, and needs large quantities of meat to survive.
Fane received the letter just as he was leaving the Castle Town Market place, as he was the first whom bore a legitimate arsenal. Receiving the letter, his mind tracked back to a specific time and a specific set of people. Volkin would be difficult to find, but Kaula and most certainly Youkai were his closest allies at this point. On top of this, the man named Silver was around, or so he heard. His skill was rumored to be well enough to serve in aiding in this situation. If push came to shove, Fane would need to also contact his boss at the Tavern, Owen, for aid. With Aarondite and Veritas & Aequitas on his waist and hips, the large blade he acquired from the Battle at the lake rested upon his back sideways. Reading the letter carefully, he set off to find the team and locate them to the field, where they would await the Jotun, and halt its rampaging advance on the Castle Town. Standing in the center of the field after a few hours, he knew his team would be here soon, and so would the Jotun. Planning might be difficult, but if his trusted friends showed, he would have no fear of winning this battle. His new blade would hopefully come in handy as well. It was light as a feather for Fane, but its power was tremendous. Owen and Youkai, given Owen showed, both had unique powers and abilities. Kalua would be anything but expendable in this battle. His abilities to shock and maneuver were outstanding. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kulau had heard tale of the giant's rampage, then of the plan to stop it. He remembered Fane from the battle at Lake Hylia, when he put a bullet right between the knight's eyes. A marksman of high caliber, no doubt. Why he had thought of a simple diplomat as a man of tremendous use, he was unsure. However, there was no mistaking the need for someone to do something.
After consulting with his father on the best methods of defeating such a large beast, Kulau picked up a bomb from one of the merchants and made his way toward the field, he had a plan for the bomb, but with nowhere to put it, he just kept it in his hand.
Arriving at the designated meeting spot in the field, Kulau respectfully bowed to Fane, still holding his bomb.
"Good day. I trust your prey hasn't scampered off yet." He adjusted his trunks so they wouldn't get in the way and smiled. "I hope this one doesn't decide to manipulate shadows like our last foe." He really hoped that, seeing as the cleanup was still going on, trying to help out the surrounding area, both in and around Lake Hylia and Zora's Domain.

He was all ready to go. Silver sat on a bench rereading the letter that he had revived. it was detailing a mission that he was requested for. sure he was a great warrior but he didn't know anyone would actually request him for any sort of mission, not that he was complaining. Silver tucked the letter into his item pouch. It was time. it was time to display his abilities as a warrior and help out these new friends in battle. This creature would be a strong opponent. With nothing left to do. in his bag were two gasha seeds and a Pegasus seed. Silver rose from the bench and quickly made way towards his destination. He was tempted to use the Pegasus seed but decided against it, he would need it much later. While walking a long the path Silver took out his red tinted boomerang. it has served him years of training and now it would see a magnificent fight. Silver ran forward and threw it. The boomerang soared magnificently through the air before promptly returning to him. Silver easily caught it and put it back away.
"I wonder what this thing will do. It's not very smart but it's tough. this man has been following it for days. he's got to be tired." said silver aloud. "Well hold on, we are coming to help."
Silver took this last opportunity to adjust his cape and make sure all of his equipment was accounted for. Silver laid his hand on his sword. Before quickly jogging to where he saw the people who would fight along side of him in this fight.
"Oi! I'm Silver!" said Silver to these people. The battle was sure to be long and hard but this thing had to be stopped.

This was not the first Youkai had heard of the Jotun. Denwind was just at the northern edge of Peak Province and rumors of the giant often reached the town. He always though that Jotun was little more than a story, a myth made up to scare children. The knight who gave Youkai the letter had an amused look on his face. He didn't think a Lieutenant of the Hylian Knights would go chasing after what seemed to be a myth. A smirked crossed Youkai's face as he remembered the look on the Knights face when he said he was accepting the request.
Finally, he arrived at the meet up point and landed softly on the ground, the air around him calmed as he released it from his control. He was wearing his new leather armor that was designed to allow him to move easier as he controlled the wind in combat. Wolf fur outlined his cape and each sword that made up his Howling Fang rested in its own sheath on his back, separate from each other. Swift was not with him on this outing as he was still recovering from the wound he had suffered in his last battle.
"It's good to see you two again." He said to Fane and Kulau. "If only it was under better circumstances." He turned his attention to the man he had no met yet, Silver. "Greetings. I'm Lieutenant Sir Youkai Ookami of the Hylian Knights." He introduced himself formally. He was impressed with this party. The three who had fought together before had almost won that battle. This giant should be a peace of cake, at least he thought so...

Fane sharpened his gaze as the Zora approached their positioning. Nodding his head, he greeted his comrade. “Ha, agreed. And hopefully there are no evil spirits either.” Silver quickly joined them as well, where Fane nodded and introduced himself. “Fane.” He had a distinct look on his face that plainly read: you’ve got to be kidding me; this man better prove to be worth the time. His attire was rather unique, like a Childs ideal of a super hero almost.
When Youkai arrived, her knew he had just one more person to have his back. Youkai was a gifted fighter, and he recalled how he and Youkai first butted heads. Fane wouldn’t have normally went all out like he did in their last battle without first affirming the threat, but when he had subdued and fought Valen he learned to recognize an evil presence, and giving them time to recover and react is a mistake no matter what.
With Aarondite, his twin pistols, and the large black blade he had acquired from his last battle strapped to his body, Fane stood ready for the battle. “Nice getup Youkai.” The attire he wore seemed to fit his fighting style much more. Had he of worn this last battle, the outcome might have been better, and ended quicker.
“Ready yourselves.”
The Large Jotun Came slowly across the hills of Hyrule, slowly baking in the midday sun. Even though it was midday, it was not insanely hot, yet rather cool with a soft breeze flowing about. Snorting and grunting on the occasion, he kept his eyes open and ready to kill, destroy, and demolish anything in his path. Soon, this became an option for him. The Jotun spotted the group a few hills away and stared at them for a few moments, pondering what they were.
When he distinguished them as living beings, he lifted his hands to the air and let out a monstrous cry. Tree’s were far and few, but there were about three spread out on the battlefield, and raising his fist to the air, he stepped on one, pushing it down. Grabbing it at the same time, he ripped the whole tree from the earth, spinning dust and dirt into the air as well. Shaking the tree in the air as a battle weapon, a few birds flew out of the branches, skittering off into the clouds.
Busting into a full blown sprint, the beast charged the group, pulling the tree back as a baseball bat, and preparing to smash them all with one mighty swing.

Kulau bowed his head to Silver. "Kulau, Zora diplomat." He bowed his head also to Youkai, taking solace in a familiar face. Even though he had met Fane, he didn't know him like he knew Youkai. Besides, Youkai had a chip on his shoulder, needing something to answer back his critics with.
Not long after, the Jotun arrived and had already made a lasting impact, taking out a tree and charging the group. Kulau stood his ground, lighting the bomb he brought with him. At the last minute, he started to move out of the way, making sure the giant caught the bomb with his foot. Crippling this giant seemed to be the best path to success.

Silver acknowledged the men who had joined up at his location readying themselves for battle. they all seemed to know each other from a previous fight. they probably knew each other's battle style and would easily work in sync with each other. Meanwhile Silver's battle style was yet to be known to these men. But that was just a misfortune.
abruptly a large hulking monster effortlessly ripped a tree from the ground to use as a weapon.
"Hm, well looks like he knows we came to fight." smirked Silver taking care to dodge the tree and distancing himself from the creature. "Well look at you, mr. big and bad!"
Silver drew his sword and pulled out his boomerang to use for both attacking and defending.

Fane fell back on the opposite side of the Zora, and drew both his pistols. Aiming for the back, he went to shoot the back of the monsters body in order to deal some damage and pain to the spinal cord, if not end the battle there by paralyzing it. His feet were swift and his movements even faster. There was no hesitation in his heart, mind, or soul.
As soon as he shot, he moved his guns back into the holsters, sliding to a stop, and drew out Aarondite, preparing for quite a battle. Greer's blade was not a subject of interest yet, he would wait.
The monster ripped forth, his foot being overwhelmed with a burning sensation that only angered him more. As the Zora leaped out of the way, blood spurted from his foot for only a few steps, before slowly, before their eyes the skin slowly slid back into place, regrowing at an alarming rate. Although he stumbled a few steps, it was nothing that interfered with his plans to completely and holey wipe out the man named Silver. The Taunts were harsh and it angered and tested the inferior giant.
Pulling his arm back, he gave a great and giant swing with the tree, hurtling it sideways to attempt and hit the flank of the man, and send him hurtling into the sky. As he did lunge it back like a baseball, it whirled behind him, catching Fane's bullets by chance, and then swung forth with amazing speed.

The giant was now turned away from Kulau, whose bomb had no lasting effect. So what if it stumbled a little, it also healed itself. Kulau had to go for a plan B.
Quickly he made a beeline for the giant's ankle/foot area, and when he got there, would attempt to latch on to the appendage and activate his bioelectric shield, hoping to temporarily cripple the limb long enough for the other to get in a few shots, and perhaps if he could hold on he could dig a fin in there for some extra hurt.

Silver watched as Kulau grasped onto the monster's ankle. seems like a good idea. cripple the thing as to stall it. The shear size of the beast was astounding. it's regenerative ability was also impressive. But there had to be some way to stop it. There had to be something they could do. Silver thought to the two gasha seeds he had... they might snag the creature but only for a little bit.
"Hey what items to you guys have? i've got two gasha seeds and a Pegasus seed." called Silver.
Silver started to run around the creature to test if he was a definite target.

The tree just barely missed Silver, however the speed of the swing sent a gust of wind following after him. While no real damage would be done, he would be pushed back no doubt. The Giant let out a monstrous roar as it missed, attempting to swing again at the man, if only the Zora had not interfered. Feeling the burning rush through his foot, he grunted heavily, believing it to only be a minor bomb again. however, he was not so lucky.
The Jotun collapsed forth, slamming into the ground. Rolling over immediately, he tried to stand, and quickly found he could not. Allowing his foot to regenerate was his main focus. Grabbing the tree, he swung it in front of him, aiming at the Zora and Fane with three consecutive swoops.
Fane watched as the Zora placed a well aimed hit. Jumping back, he was surprised to see the beast react so quickly. His foot slowly regenerated before their very eyes....Fane shook his head in pure disbelief. As the tree lifted, he slowly backed up, moving out of range whilst loading the twin guns he had. If he could shoot the eyes out, he knew the beast wouldn't be able to regenerate those.
"Kulau! Watch your 6!"
His warning was most likely pointless; the Zora should of already seen it coming, and as he yelled the words he felt like this beast was going to be easier to beat than he had first assumed. Youkai was nowhere to be seen, and Owen wasn't even a for sure deal. If his boss did show up, this battle would be over relatively soon, no doubt.

Kulau quickly hopped back as the Jotun rolled over and began swinging. He knew the energy field would cripple his foot, that was the backup plan. However, the Jotun would likely recover before Kulau could do it again, and would likely target him now that the threat was established.
"Fane, I'll distract it. Cripple it before it recovers." He then began to use big, fluid motions around the giant, aiming at distracting the beast.

It was down. the behemoth was actually down. Though it was swinging the tree like mad, which would create a problem. but none the less it was down, and if it stayed down there might be a chance to keep it there. The creature was astounding. it could regenerate health. but if something could pierce deep into it's skin then it might have a hard time regenerating.
"All right creep let's see you regenerate from this!" Shouted Silver.
Silver pulled the drawstring of his bow back as far as he could. Silver then activated his ice ability. quickly and arrow formed in the bow. the tip of it was very unusual. it was a small drill. Silver knew that if he fired the arrow correctally it would spin and upon impact would bore into the Jotun's skin possibly slowing his regen abilities.
"Watch out everyone, this could be dangerous if any of you get hit with this arrow." Warned Silver.
Silver let go of the string aiming for it's torso close to it's leg. the arrow shot from the bow and started to spin with a high velocity. The arrow started to drill right through the air hopefully he would hit his mark doing damage and hinding the behemoth.

The giant felt a sheering pain of ice strike his back, however it did not deal damage that would vitally aid this battle. It only pissed the Jotun off more as the cool sensation rushed his back, numbing him slightly. Continuing to swing the tree, he directed it at Silver, and aimed directly for the man's torso with a powerful thrust.
Fane did not hesitate at first; he prepared to move in for a deathblow on the giants face, prepared to fixate his sword upon the Jotuns brain. However, keeping his team alive was the main focus here, with the Jotuns death falling second. As he began to sprint forth, Silver unleashed his attack, which caused Fane to second guess his movements, and come to a dead stop. Shifting his position, he dashed to the side and moved forth, drawing Greer's Blade up above his head, and swinging it down in a swift movement, attempting to split the tree in half.
Meanwhile, during this whole battle, a thought pulled at the back of Fane's mind. This Giant, why was it rampaging through the fields? When it had lived its whole life in the mountains, undisturbed, why of all times would it suddenly come crashing down to destroy the people whom had let it be. There was something behind it, behind its actions, that he could not pinpoint yet. Perhaps it would become evident as the battle raged on.

Kulau was concerned about this giant's regenerative abilities. These puny little attacks weren't going to help, his included. They needed something deadly and crippling before the slow behemoth crippled one of them.
"Silver, aim for the eyes. We can't simply attack, we need to pinpoint weaker appendages!" he called out as the giant made another swing. Kulau did what he could to stay out of range of the giant, since without his bioelectric shield there was little he could do against the behemoth.

"Understood." said Silver putting his bow back. "It's gonna take a bit till i can use my ice ability again."
It was time to improvise. The eyes, that would be a good plan. if it couldn't see it's be easier to take down. but what could he use. If only he'd used his ability better... though now there wasn't much he could do but wait.
Silver gripped his boomerang. it's points would be sharp and if throwin right it could possibly be used to aid his team mates. Silver threw his boomerang aiming for the Jotun's eyes.

As the tree was cut by Fane, the Jotun felt a sheering pain from the boomerang that allocated itself directly in his eye. Screaming madly, it pounded in a circle, reaching for whoever was in his grasp. At this moment, his recover on his legs was near complete, but he was close to death...
A Fatal wound on a disoriented Giant would easily take him down. Smashing the ground with both fist, a small quake shook the ground from the pure and utter force of the blast. The Shockwave was potent enough to knock back anything within a 30 meter radius.
Fane fell back from the blow, stumbling in surprise. Leaping back and rolling, he recovered as quickly as possible from the attack. Cursing under his breath, the white haired man stared at the Jotun and noticed something odd. A white glow was emanating from its chest, right where the heart would sit. He had a bad feeling about this. Raising Greer's blade, he took a defensive pose, awaiting the next move of his two comrades.

Kulau was knocked back from the blast, but with his size, the giant needed to telegraph the attack enough so he was able to quickly get back up.
Kulau wished he had his bomb back, as it would be perfect for that white glow. However, he had to make do with what he had, and what he had was dexterity. He quickly moved in front of the Jotun, intending to once again provide a distraction for his allies. If he saw an opportunity to leap at the white spot near the Jotun, he would do so, but it seemed to high even for him.
He nodded to Silver and Fane, suggesting they take their best shots at that glowing mark.

The Jotun could barely see out of his remaining eye; blood filled his eyelid thickly, but even so he could still see the small blue Zora wavering before him. With a deep breath, the Jotun let out one last monstrous roar, a roar that rippled through the fields of Hyrule louder than any before. Within this roar, grumbled, distraught, uneducated words could be made out to a willful listener. "WRE...AAAH....KHEEEEEEL MEEEEE."
Reaching forth, he tightened his fist and gave a strong, inaccurate and poorly aimed punch at the Zora, his fist crashing through the ground and tearing the ground up. The soil flipped either which way, and his fist was off center, making a clear path for the Zora to strike its heart, where the glowing light emanated from.
Fane watched, and he knew the Zora had the situation under control. Listening to the words, he shook his head in confusion. Something wasn't right about this situation at all. Reloading his guns, he placed them back in their holsters and held Greer's blade tighter than ever. This fight was about to develop into something far worse than he had expected. Far worse.

Unfortunately, Kulau was never a good multitasker. Focusing on the Jotun caused him to miss the words from the roar. He just went straight in for the kill, leaping at the white glow, blade extended to slash a gash right through it. He tried to activate his shield again for more impact, but he hadn't spent enough time recharging, so he was only attacking with his blades.
