The Giant missed the Zora by a longshot, and was instantly killed as the blade penetrated his chest, and impacted his heart. The light burst out around the wound, instantly consuming the Jotun's body itself in ash. Falling to the ground, it simmered and cooled, smoke slowly cascading off the remains....
Fane approached the ashes and stared in confusion. Looking to Kulau, he shook his head. "It asked for us to kill it. That Giant...it wasn't normal." Resting Greer's blade on his shoulder, he leaned down and poked the ash with his finger, running his fingers through the debris.

Kulau looked down at the ashes, dropping to the ground and looking around as his foe turned to ash. He looked over to Fane, confused.
"I never heard that. It asked to die? What exactly were we fighting?" He stood up and brushed off a bit of ash. This was very confusing, and Kulau had that feeling it wasn't over. But is was over for him, for now at least.
He began to walk off, taking a few steps out towards Lake Hylia when he stopped. "Your Jotun is defeated, and my work is finished. Good luck Fane." He then walked off, brushing off some more ash.

(so very sorry internet acted up this week and i couldn't get on.)
Silver watched as the creature fell to the ground and turned to ashes. The creature made an attempt to talk. it's works were strange and unrecognize able.
"You sure it wanted death? what if it was a plea for help?" Silver examined the place where the creature had fallen."Why would it turn to ash here? if i died wouldn't it retain it's form? I don't know if we are quite done with things like this... it seems too weird for somthing to burst into ashes"

The ashes simmered as the group prepared to disperse, and contrary to some of their beliefs, the battle was far from over. Two people, a woman and a child slowly came into view over a hillside; the man who had wrote the letter to inform the brave soldiers had left behind a family. They now made their way to the battle scene, coming out from hiding. The two were still quite far off, only small figured in the lowering sunlight at the top of a hill, approximately five hundred yards away.
As light suddenly emanated from the ashes, they rose into the air, forming a tall, shadowed figure that quickly solidified into a Monster of some sort; in its hands was a large, long spear that was nearly equal in height to the actual beast. The thing stood 7 feet tall; not a Giant, but well armored and thin, with little flesh exposed.
"Death was its wish, but not its fate. Stripped of life, you have stolen my vessel, and now must repent for the sins you have committed." Its voice was a dark, low, raspy one, distorted by croaks and fluctuations in tone. A small, light blue, transparent shield slowly cascaded up over the beasts body, surrounding it entirely.
"Hm....well, we completed our task." Fane had little to nothing to say; the situation itself was more than confusing. Taking the Zora's choice and finding it rather pleasant, he began walking off, heading back to his corridor at the Fairy Fountains Tavern for a nice, relaxing ale. As he did so, however, the situation became clear.
As the light shot out, he pivoted his body and turned back, facing the new beast that came from the ashes. A parasite of sorts; he had never seen a monster of this genre before. It spoke their language as well, which startled him. This was no ordinary being. Drawing and preparing Greer's blade once more, he stood and stared at the monster.
"Kulau...." He yelled out, not wanting to be left with one less person to fight.

Kulau was just walking away when he heard Fane call out to him. Turning to see the ruckus, he saw the ashes had solidified and were poised to attack. Not wanting to abandon what seemed to be a good man, he made a beeline toward Fane, ready to attack.
However, when the blue shield cascaded over, he stopped, and simply readied himself. He looked to Fane while in battle stance. "This is certainly an unfortunate turn of events. Seems like round 2 is about to begin. You ready?" He knew his shield was back, and he was ready to fight. Again.

"I really hate it when i'm right about these things." said Silver.
The wasn't over. the battle headed no real challange so it was natural that another form would appear. This was to be expected. though not really wanted. it was gonna be real tough to find out what this thing really wanted.
"Oi what do you want? Did you posses someone and change them into that form? you've got some things to atone for. lives lost, homes destroyed. Answer me now!" ordered Silver.
Silver wouldn't stand for this. if this thing had taken over someone's body and made them do things like this then he wouldn't stand for it at all.

The beast stood silently watching the three assemble before him. Raising his spear slightly, he watched the one named Silver as he ran his impudent tongue, defiling the true purpose of this battle. "It matters not." His words were shorter this time; he had no point in conversing with beings whom would soon join the Jotun in death.
Raising the spear even higher, a large blast of fire engulfed the spear, and centered at the blade. Pointing it at Silver, the monster took a few steps forth, preparing for engagement. With a sudden leap, it cast itself high into the air, spinning twice and coming down at Silver with enough force to easily snap his neck and crush his bones. With the spear pointed down, it could easily penetrate the soldiers body.
Fane watched as the beast shot into the sky, and he could only watch. The white haired man didn't see any possible openings in the beast, and simply prepared to strike with Greer as soon as the monster landed. "Move Silver!"

Kulau saw the beast attempt to attack Silver. There was little he could do at the moment, so he simply sidestepped out of the way and watched, still prepared for an engagement. It was strange to watch the beast execute such fancy moves, the spins just seemed so unnecessary.
Positioning himself behind Fane, he waited for his own opportunity to strike, as he certainly did not want to be caught accidently on the wrong side of Fane's massive blade.

[ooc: Silver is assumed to be hit, but by no means out for the thread.]
As his attack hit, he rose immediately and lifted his spear, the flames encircling the blade. He felt the body below him fall to the ground; if his spear hit, he was unsure. There would be no blood if it did, simply a deep wound with a 3rd degree burn immediately sealing it shut. One down, he figured. The next two would most likely be just as easy.
Fane watched as the attack hit Silver, and he reacted immediately. Charging forth, he brought the blade above his head and slammed it down, aiming for the monsters skull. A quick slash to the skull would easily kill it, he was positive. However, with his downward slash, he prepared to move to the side, which somewhat lessened the strength of the attack. It matter not either way though, because a direct crushing blow to the head needed no power. It was a deathblow.

Kulau prepared as the blow hit Silver, but wasn't about to make an attack unless Fane's deathblow was unsuccessful, when he would slash right across the skull and follow up with a bioelectric shield if necessary. However, he had to position himself correctly in order to correctly us the shield, if he was in the wrong area, he could hit Fane or Silver. He waited for that moment while he readied his swipe should Fane not succeed.

[ooc: I have a list of his abilities, if you'd like to see them]
The attack was not worthless, however the Monster knew he was safe. The blade halted and the light blue shield cracked slightly, nothing serious. Laughing gently, the beast kicked forth, nailing Fane directly in the chest and sending him tumbling back. Taking a few steps forth, he stabbed at the Zora from a safe distance, leaving one of his arms free in case the Zora got tricky and evaded it. The monster's arms were long and he had reach; grabbing or punching the Zora would be what seemed as an easy task.
Paralyzing Kick- 2 Post Cooldown
Fane felt the full force of the kick against his chest, and he went tumbling across the ground, barely managing to come back up upon his feet. Bending over, he gasped for air and fell to one knee, gripping his chest. The blow was not very damaging, but more so of a stun. It knocked the wind right out of him, and the pain jolted his chest fiercely.

Kulau could see that he was the final target. It wasn't going to be long before the monster went after him. It was simply in its nature.
With great dexterity, Kulau parried the spear and went straight for a downward blow to the head with his other hand. If that shield came up again, it would be time for Kulau to activate his shield, hopefully bringing it down long enough for Fane and Silver to recover and strike at the monster. That was all if the monster didn't get a hold of Kulau first. If that happened, Kulau was of the mind to turn the grapple to his advantage by activating the shield then, catching the monster completely off guard.

The shield did in fact come up, and as the spear was parried, the beast stepped back, feeling a bit of force from the kick. It grunted, dismantled at the situation. The shield was now at half-strength, and the force of the attacks were falling through. It wasn't dealing damage, but it was definitely pushing him back. As his spear fell to the side, he twirled it around his back and moved into a thrust directly back at Kulau.
However, this time when he did so, the fire on the spear would explode out, scorching a small 10 meter radius around the blade. It wasn't very powerful, but still decent.
Fane recovered from the blow, and did not hesitate to jump back. As he moved in for his second attempt at an attack, he halted his movements and brought Greer's blade up as a straight shield against the fire in front of his body, holding it vertical with the grip above his head. He was preparing to strike down his foe's shield with a single move. He just had to spot the opening.

Kulau wasn't prepared for the fire attack. He moved to parry the spear when the flames shot, scorching his blade as well as most of the rest of him. As he was reeling back slightly, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Fane was readying a heavy strike down upon the monster. Kulau then decided to try and trick the monster. He set his stance and motioned for the monster to come and get him.
"I'm ready for you fiend. You will not survive the day's end. Come and fight me, and I will show you the strength of the Zoras."

"Your words are hallow, Fish. You will not live to see the moon, for your destiny has called you here, to your grave." The beast lifted his spear, angered at the Zora's words. He was smart, but arrogant. Leaping forth, he slashed down with the spear as one would with a sword, aiming directly at the Zora's neck. He aimed to slash the jugular and end this feeble fight.
All the while, his attention was shifted from Fane. With his shield up, he felt more invincible than ever. It was when it broke that the true extent of his power would be pulled out. Never before had one broken his shield, or made it that far.
Fane caught on quick. Stepping to the side, his arm was charged with pure energy, and he prepared Demonic Pulse, aiming for the monsters flank. Following its movement, he thrust in with his arm, the energy tearing and rippling around it. It had grown stronger since the last time Kulau had seen it, much stronger, and it was quite evident. The energy was much more, and upon impact, the force would be much greater. Not even reinforced steel could withstand this amount of energy. It was truly enough to break the spear that the monster itself wielded, but he was aiming for the shield, not the weapon.

Kulau grinned upon knowing he had the beast's attention. He dodged backwards quickly, assuming a defensive position as the beast slashed at him. He made no effort to counterattack, keeping most of his weight on his back leg to hop backwards again. He kept one eye toward Fane, trying to determine a good time to counter and finally go on the offensive. It all depended on Fane's next attack.

The shield shattered, and sent back a small wave of pure force to repel Fane away from him. The monster's face slowly changed to one of pure determination and agitation. "It ends now." Stepping forth, he kept a watchful eye on Fane, prepared to counter either of the enemies he was holding at bay.
Pointing his spear directly between the two, a small sparkling energy slowly gravitated around his body, rising from his feet and dissipating into the sky above. It flowed smoothly, and was of a golden color. He was concentrating, charging the spell, but that didn't mean he was defenseless.
Fane felt the force push him back, and sliding to a halt a few yard to Kulau's side, he lifted Greer's blade over his head and pointed it at the monster. Slowly moving around the monster with sidesteps, he put distance between him and Kulau. This was it. The monster was about to unleash everything it had packed in its arsenal. Their survival was solely based on teamwork here.
"Find a weak point in his armor, or go for the face. What say you Kulau?"

Kulau stood his ground against the threats of the monster. He was not to be beaten on this day. He chuckled at Fane's comments, the answer was obvious.
"Your sword is enormous. Just hit him with it." Kulau's fins weren't nearly as large. Precision was key here. He needed to make a hit that really counted. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, when the monster took that moment to focus on Fane, he would go for the face. Hopefully the force of their two attacks would be enough to fell this foul creature.

[ooc: lets wrap this up! How many rupees should we ask for as reward?]
The beast was concentrating all of his energy into his attack at this point, and a sparkling aura was generating from his body. Eventually, the sparkling ceased, and a strong blast of light struck the ground from the heavens, exploding and sending a shockwave out right between Kulau and Fane.
Fane felt the force of the wave and flew back out of range, dismayed by the force. Slammed to the ground he lost his breath, and his vision blurred horribly. He could only hope that Kulau had a way to dodge this or something along those lines. Tossing and turning as he slid across the field, he felt the blood seep from various parts of his body as they became scratched or injured.

(OOC: Gonna do something funky, bear with me. As for a reward, a standard quest fee should be fine.)
There was nothing Kulau could do to dodge the force of the shockwave. Instead, he met the shockwave head-on with the bio-electric shield, and the two forces collided in a show of energy. Kulau used this energy collision to head a final charge on the beast, attempting a killing blow with his fin right across the head.
