She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows A sigh escaped from her dark lips. Good riddance! Personal space, it existed, but how fleeting it had become in so little time. Midna took her time calming down, and collect her thoughts before doing anything. The annoying blond had to sour the mood before taking his leave! She couldn't explain the sudden brash behavior before he allowed her to get comfortable with her living arrangements, but it only served fuel for the fire of her frustration. Rolling her scarlet eyes, she stared up at the ceiling for a moment, convincing herself that he was not worth getting angry, and peeved over. Did it work?
Not really...
So she had to take her mind off of it, and lowered her gaze back to the room. More specifically, her gaze fell over to the mirror Nightmare instructed not to go messing with. Standing in front of the mirror, once again her reflection nonexistent, she didn't see anything special about it. Midna concluded that if it was such a dangerous item to be having in a room, and he intend on her staying in said room, then he should have taken into account of either moving the damn thing, or assume Midna was going to mess with it.
She could sense it. There was magic in the mirror, but to what purpose did it serve for the Emperor?

With Midna messing with the mirror, despite Nightmare's explicit instructions not to, disaster was imminent. At first, it seemed like nothing happened, the mirror stayed still, nothing occurred, and it seemed like Nightmare had either lied or played a horrible prank on the princess. For a moment, it would've seemed like the Emperor got her worked up over nothing, and that this whole test had been a complete waste of time. And then without warning, a rather... unnerving face appeared. There wasn't a start up. There wasn't a hint it was going to appear. There wasn't a turning of the mirror. Nothing. One moment, the mirror was blank, regular, and the next, this thing's ghostly white eyes were staring right into Midna's. A twisted white grin showed on the image's face as a white fog began to gently flow from his mouth. This was what Nightmare was talking about. And of course, seeing as Midna hadn't listened, this was about to blow up in her face. Possibly on a large scale. There wasn't any hesitation whatsoever on the monster in the mirror's part. Immediately, dozens of black tendrils shot out from the mirror, leaving slight ripples on its surface. Each one aiming straight at the Twilight Princess as they all sailed through the air at breakneck speeds. The goal of the tendrils were simple; bind Midna and drag her into the world of the mirror.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows There were some major problems with this situation. All of which will be explained thoroughly in a brief moment, but for now, let's just move along now, shall we? At first, Midna scoffed at the calm tranquility that toyed with her suspicions that there was something dark, scary, and plain sinister behind the other side of the mirror. Nightmare better not have said such things just to mess with her head! She couldn't want to find some kind of reason to just wring his neck, and begin plucking his scales one by one~ Now that would be a rather interesting pasttime.
She would have turned her back towards the mirror, and returned back to her bed to get some rest. That what she should have done, but you know how the story goes~ Stubborn characters tended to stay in place, and thus would prove a major downfall on the princess' part. Carmine eyes flickered at the sudden appearance of a creeper face showing up in front of the mirror. Sexy... she commented sarcastically. Her lithe frame tensed up as she noticed the eeriely plastered pearl white grin across the face's lips as a small fog escaped from his mouth.
Midna cursed. The creature within the mirror moved so fast, she couldn't put up her shadow veil in time before the black tendrils bound her wrists. A few more tied themselves tightly around her waist, and ankles before moving hastily into the mirror~
The sad thing about this was the fact that Midna didn't even touch the damn mirror! She didn't even do anything to remotely mess with it either~ It acted accordingly on it's own, but who was going to believe the Twili when it was already in her agenda in the first place to mess with it? That's karma for you...

The night is still so young and the real fun is yet to start! The moment Midna came through the mirror, she would likely notice something odd. Namely, that the world was highly inconsistent. In their immediate area, is was a red, hellish area, filled with grey, spiked towers. However, off in the distance, she noticed different colored skies, different looking landscapes, and they were constantly changing. Some even got close to this one, though it remained in place for the moment. However, at least Midna would know who had dragged her in here. At the source of the tendrils was the man that had appeared in the mirror. Only, he looked different. Instead of a ghoulish appearance, he actually looked somewhat alive. Short, shaggy hair replaced the long hair, red eyes replaced the completely white pupils, and he didn't have the facial hair anymore. In fact, it could be said that he actually looked pretty handsome now."Ohhh~ An intruder..." He spoke in a soft, yet strangely seductive voice as he get the tendrils wrapped around the princess. His words echoed in the vicinity as he spoke. It was one of those worlds, that was for sure. He lowered her towards him as he got a good look at her, his eyes narrowing with a playful glint as he stared into her carmine eyes. "We haven't had one of those in so long..." The man complained to her. What an odd man, dragging her into the mirror world just to complain to her about his own problems. He leaned in uncomfortably close. "It's always an Emperor, new or old. It can get so dull~" Only to pull away, having his tendrils pull Midna away from him, but still keeping her bound. However, that bored expression quickly turned manic as he grinned and with a signal from him, the tendrils released the Twilight Princess, throwing her off to the side as his body turned in her direction. His body started to change. Losing its shape, dissolving into a black mass as eyes opened all over his body. "I'm bored. Play with me, then I'll feed you to my dog~" He spoke in a somewhat demented tone, his dog letting out a single bark, as if to reinforce his demand.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows This is real, right? Midna nearly got lost in the inconsistent changing scenery, which she noted could seriously warp one's senses. The changing landscapes, and unstable skies could do some serious mind screwing, if they haven't already lost their minds from entering the mirror in the first place. The princess had to collect her thoughts for a moment as she felt her bound form being dragged deeper into the mirror's realm. This place looks like wonderland gone to hell. Literally.
The Twilight Princess would soon come across the carrier of the appendages that kept her immobile. Her carmine twilit eyes got a better glimpse of the figure that stood in front of the mirror beforehand. It actually appeared more humanoid, but the look in his eyes, and a grin that could make the Cheshire Cat shudder sent knots within her stomach. An otherworldly beast that dwelt quietly within the other side of the mirror. The dark aura surrounding him was sickeningly demented, and left nothing but a foreboding essence sinking underneath her skin. Midna stared at the beast silently.
Her brows furrowed downwards glaring at him as he edged closer to her. She allowed a small shriek escape from her lips when the pompous creature decided to toss her aside. Before her body could impact the ground, she used her psychic powers to lift herself right side up, before hovering safely onto the ground. When her posture was appropriately addressed, her attention was quickly taken back to the figure whose form changed entirely. Her hands balled up into fists not at all finding this pleasing. "Vile demon!" she hissed, "Who do you think you are - accusing me of intruding this demented wonderland, when you were the one who dragged me into this in the first place?"
The Sovereign wasn't going to be ordered around by a monster, especially the monster that belonged to another master. No, she had more pride in herself than that, as a Twili, a descendant of the Dark Interlopers. The leader of the Twilight Realm. "You won't do it," she retorted; as if calling him out on a bluff.

"Y-You... Your own soldiers...! Your own vassals! Your own subjects! How could you?!" The man grinned the moment Midna challenged him. In response, he let out a slow, dark chuckle as his dog tensed. It was clear at this point that this man was actually going to go through with attacking the princess. At least she knew how to defend herself, so hopefully the fight would go better for Midna than it might have looked. But, perhaps there was more to this monster than would first appear. At the very least, he might have found the idea of being called a vile demon to be a rather amusing one. "I wouldn't do that." A calm voiced echoed out. As if on cue, their area started to change as well. The hellish world receding slightly, being replaced by ironically, that of spa AAAAAAAAAAAAce. Even in the ground, one could look down and see the star filled sky, littered with bright lights, even distant views of other galaxies. Well, it seemed like Nightmare was here to stop a fight from breaking out. Nightmare had entered the mirror, and with every step he took, the hellish land that belonged to the creature in the mirror receded. Walking towards the two, he looked at them both. Oh sure, it might have seemed like it was purely Midna's side, but... "To both of you."He looked at Midna before pointing an accusing finger in her direction. "I explicitly told you not to mess with the mirror. Only reason Lucien here isn't trying to eat you alive is because I called you ignoring me." He named the monster. This Lucien was apparently the one inside the mirror. But it seemed that he wasn't the only one that could exist inside it. As these two were perfect examples of that. "Plus, never call Lucien's bluff. He will go through with it just to piss you off, if nothing else." He tacked on. Lucien was a troll, if challenged, the guy would just take it, just for the sake of "You asked for it." The shadows receded, and Lucien seemed to return to his humanoid form. His eyes narrowing in disappointment that he wouldn't get to enjoy himself tonight. "Always an Emperor, new or old. And the one time it isn't, she's with the Emperor." He grumbled. He had other things he could do at least. But they were so predictable. At least Midna gave him something new to mess with. As Lucien walked off away from them, Midna would notice that as he progressed, the world of the mirror was again changed, turning into the hellish land she had just dealt with, overwriting anything else it came in contact with. Nightmare however, just noticed and didn't really do much to acknowledge it. Instead, he just looked at Midna and crossed his arms, not saying a single word, instead giving her a knowing glare. Like a parent expecting the small child to start explaining just what they were thinking.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows What was the point in toying with her? If he really wanted to kill her then he would have done so from the get go~ He didn't hesitate to bind her, and drag her into this sort of facade of hell. It was an insult to the highest degree for him to try, and break her pride. The Twilight Princess was not impressed, or in any least bit intimidated by this creature.
However... when all appeared to be going down a downward spiral, a voice broke through the tension, and her eyes were quickly directed to the source. Just as Nightmare appeared on the scene, it was as if the whole entire realm took a flip to the other side and soon enough everything appeared... spacey. Her carmine eyes narrowed as he reprimanded not only the creature, but Midna as well. Remember when we mentioned how she longed for the ability of looks killing someone? Well, she wanted it now more than she ever did before. The multiple words that could describe her expression at the moment~
So the monster had a name. Midna couldn't help but wonder if this Lucien character any anything to do with influencing the Emperor's quirky... personality traits. Yeah, we'll go with that description, because it was the friendliest way she could put it. When Lucien departed from the two, she took notice of the hellish landscape falling upon the mirror's inconsistent changing scenery once again.
"Save me your dirty looks," she placed her arms upon her hips haughtily. "I didn't lay a finger on the mirror."
The sad thing about that though was that it was the truth~

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She was getting defensive. Her hands were on her hips as she made it clear that she didn't actually touch the mirror. "Uh-huh." He dryly replied. Even if she hadn't touched it, she had still messed with it, after he had told her not to. He had just saved her from one of the many beasties in this mirror, he was naturally a little annoyed that not only had she not listened, but it had been a situation where she could have died. Then again, Nightmare would've done the exact same thing had they switched positions, so he probably couldn't do much talking about this situation. However, he wasn't really sure what to do now. He figured he'd come in, rescue her, and then just take her out of the mirror. But, after seeing how the world kept changing, he wasn't really sure if she'd want to go back. He uncrossed his arms and gave a sigh. He probably should've let Lucien have a bit of fun with her before he came in. Hopefully that would've taken out any possible drive for her to stick around. Now, he wasn't entirely sure. But, he figured that if she really wanted to see what the world of the mirror was like, then she would probably dive back in when he wasn't looking anyway. It was a lost cause. Moving over to Midna, he gave another sigh. "Ok then, I'll give you a choice here. You can either come with me and I'll take you out of here, back to your bed. Or, I can show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes." He held his hand out to her. This wasn't something she couldn't be going off alone on. "If you choose to stay, you'll have to stay with me though. Lucien's not the only one here, and they will attack you if you aren't with me." He warned her. This place was dangerous. Not to him though, being an Emperor and all. But someone they didn't recognize. They would hunt her down.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows An eyebrow twitched in response to his dry remark when she defended herself. She had every right to defend herself because she did, as the goddesses as her witness, was stand in front of the mirror! He wasn't going to seriously reprimand her for just standing in front of the mirror? Nothing happened the first time she got a look at it, but the second Nightmare leaves, she gets sucked into it by a bored monster who lives in the stupid mirror. Did the emperors of past generations get some kind of amusement out of toying with beasts in here? Whatever it was, she wasn't quite sure she liked the idea of it.
The blond was probably thinking Midna was acting like a child. How she was quick to defend herself because she didn't want to take the blame~ Despite what may seem like the truth, he was still giving her a look like a parent would to a child. How infuriating!
Nightmare proposed some options for her, both as of which, required his company. Did he not get enough of her attention earlier? Honestly, the man is so needy... An idea popped up! Sure, the princess may be childish, but such traits could be endearing, you know~ Midna scooted on over, taking his hand with both of her palm, fluttering her long lashes up at him. "Well, aren't you just the sweetest thing," she cooed, "If you would be so kind, I would be most interested in seeing just how far the rabbit hole goes~"
To help emphasize her playful choice, she tugged on his hand a little, flashing a rather impish smile. So long as Midna got her way then she wasn't complaining. If anything, she could be endearing in her own little way. The Twilight Princess was just as much as a leader figure to the Twili as Nightmare was towards his people, off the rails as far as regal standards go. She flashed Night a wink, "Pretty please~?"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She sure changed really fast. The moment he gave her the choice, she chose to go deeper and see this world for what it was... and did it in a surprisingly adorable fashion. She not only took his hand, but tugged on it in a playful manner. Where does this energy come from, and this personality? Did she only get it when she got exactly what she wanted? Nevertheless, he let himself be dragged for a bit. "You know, if you're Alice, what does that make me?" He jokingly asked. But, there was one bit to this whole thing that he had to admit that he rather liked. He kinda wished she could be more sweet like this more often. But, she was like him, so it wouldn't be too often. After a bit, Nightmare took the lead, though he didn't really wrench his hand away from Midna, he felt no need to really fight it. There was no way she could pull anything in this world. Yeah, she might have had her powers, but attacking an emperor where they were was just a bad idea, so he let her hold on as he lead the way, with space enveloping them wherever they went. So why was space showing up wherever they went? He was sure that Midna might have been curious, and he would get to that fairly quickly, but she should probably know just what the mirror world is. Looking back, he revealed just what this world was to Midna. "Alright, the reality is that this world is dominated by Emperors. Literally everyone except you in this place is an Emperor." All of them were Emperors in the past that had been succeeded, and simply found their way to this place. All in all, this place wasn't a genuine afterlife, as it could actually be destroyed. But, it was a place that the fallen emperors knew they could go to if they died and live there in peace. So many of them just decided not to move on and moved on into the mirror. Though oddly enough, Nightmare had never really found his predecessor in here. The world of course, didn't stay constant. While the area around the two kept changing to space, off in the distance, you could see others. Pitch black nothingness, the hellish world of Lucien's, water, an icy tundra, along with many other kinds of environments. That would probably take a bit of explaining, and even then, Nightmare wasn't sure whether he could get it right. "That's how the world changing occurs. It's literally an Emperor rewriting the laws of the mirror world by simply existing inside it. All those diverse looking areas you see? There's another Emperor over there." He motioned towards the different areas as he continued to lead her through the world of the mirror.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows Midna giggled. The princess completely forgotten that the Emperor was a sucker for cute things so it shouldn't have come much to a surprise when he was caught off guard by her playful exterior. When she got her way, be it in on fashion or another, her enthusiasm was near limitless~ Besides, how can he refuse her when she asked so sweetly? As far as she was concern, it was a win-win situation, Midna got to see the mirror world for what it was, and Night got to spend more time with the princess. Yay! When he asked her what wonderland character he was, she smiled playfully. "The white rabbit," she answered, teasing him about his late arrival prior to this little adventure.
The Twilight Princess was quite curious as to how this world created obscure, nonstablized environmental scenry~ What with the way everything kept staying at an inconsistent change in one area to another. Though she did notice something happening as they ventured into the mirror realm. Wherever they went, it would seem that the space scene was enveloping everywhere they went. It was strange, because she's never seen so many stars before in her life. Being, you know, the only time she's ever seen them was at night looking up from within the Light realm.
When Night began explaining how the mirror world works, she nodded her head, getting a better understand to what it was capable of doing. She looked back over to the blond and quirked an eyebrow up. "So... the souls of the Emperors from previous generations lock themselves in limbo here?" she asked trying to find an easier way to explain it. Was death a really hard thing to accept, and travel onwards to the afterlife? Then again, death wasn't a friendly thing to talk about, less you want it coming knocking at your doorstep so she tried not to think of such things.
"Still, I have to admit, it is remarkable in here," she mused softly. She especially loved the stars that followed them all around~

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Aw, he was the rabbit? Of all the people, he ended up getting the rabbit. He was kind of hoping he'd get the Mad Hatter. Everyone liked the Mad Hatter. Then again, at least he hadn't been saddled with someone like the Queen of Hearts. That would've just been awful. Nevertheless, it didn't stop him from complaining a little. "I was kind of hoping for someone better..." He whined under his breath, not at all happy with the result he had gotten from the Twilight Princess. Though, her explanation for how the mirror work made sense, and it really did come close, it wasn't completely on the mark. Nightmare shook his head to shoot the idea down. But really, he had to give it to her for actually coming close to figuring it out on her first try. "Technically no. Nearly all of the Emperors are here by choice, and can leave the mirror whenever. They just become poes, unable to interact with the outside world." As Midna had learned, the Emperors could physically interact in this world. Something they couldn't do back in Hyrule. Why give that up? Looking back over, he kept watching the landscape change, and noticed Lucien's signature mark among them all. He pointed a finger over to Lucien's slowly growing area. That man was the key to the mirror, and arguably the center of it all. "Lucien's the only one trapped in here. Technically this is his mirror. Everyone else is just using it. If he really wanted to, he could impose his will and just make this place hellish all the time." He looked back at Midna. He could understand her trying to figure out why he just didn't do that and make the entire realm his. Nightmare... really didn't have an explanation for it. "I really don't try to rationalize what he does. It's pretty much impossible." He shrugged. He figured that she would probably want to know just how he ended up in this mirror, and why he couldn't leave it on his own whims. Well, his existence was different than that of the other emperors who lived in this place. "Anyway, he was trapped in here because he was challenged and he lost. His challenger, a sorcerer, figured that killing him just wasn't good enough and decided to bind his soul to a mirror as one giant middle finger to him, thus resulting in this world." Really, Lucien hadn't deserved that. But, it probably helped to explain a lot. "That's why his face in the mirror, and what you saw, look so different. The portrait is how he looked when he got tossed in.""But that could still work as an explanation. There's quite a lot of reasons to sticking themselves in here though." Nightmare continued to pull Midna along. He wasn't letting her out of his sights for a moment. Not in this place. She wasn't an emperor, she was an intruder. He wasn't sure what rules applied to her here and what didn't. Not to mention that Lucien would probably come back if he left her alone, or God forbid, any of the other emperors decided that they wanted a shot at her. Space continued to envelop them where they went, and it wasn't long before they could hear the clashing of weaponry off in the distance. The emperors were having it out. Again. Midna would probably be asking about that later, but for now, Nightmare had other things to work on. "I'll say it. Being the emperor is the worst job in the world." He spoke, his gaze shifting downward as all of a sudden, his mood decided to plummet for a bit. "There is no hereditary rule, or democracy, or anything like that. You take the throne by killing the previous emperor. I'll likely be dead before 30." Nightmare lamented. He had to constantly watch himself. But even then, he knew it wouldn't be enough. All it'd take, is just one bad day. "So they do what they can to help make the job easier. And they stay here because they know it exists." His mood continued to plummet. "I find the prospect of moving on absolutely horrifying, because there might not be anything. I don't like the idea of total obliteration. Hell may not be pleasant, but at least I would exist." He wasn't sure if the other emperors shared his thoughts. But the idea of just ceasing to exist was frightening for him. He didn't want to risk that. Why risk it when you had an established afterlife of sorts waiting for you?

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows Midna was amused with his disappointment. Now if he gotten the character he wanted then it wouldn’t have been fun now, would it? She couldn’t give him everything while waiting on him on hand, and feet. That just wasn’t the way it went~ Besides, the Mad Hatter was overrated.
The princess listened silently with amusement dancing within her scarlet eyes. The way he explained it so thoroughly and openly as if giving an oral presentation of explaining why the emperors of old go into the mirror after they’ve died. It would seem to the sovereign that government ran by the monsters were quite… chaotic. For a lake of a better word, mind you~ Like it didn’t take much for a skilled assassin to come forth, and kill the leader of the monsters on a stroke of good luck on their parts, and the worst of karma for the… victim.
Though what was really fascinating was the concept of having an established afterlife within the mirror. What if the mirror broke by chance? Would the denizens of this dimension be set free as poes back in Hyrule? She wouldn’t be surprised that maybe they get it in their heads that before they leave for the afterlife; they go out with a bang, and start haunting people in the physical realm. Though… we’ll keep those dark thoughts for another time.
Her dark lips formed a small smile actually enjoying hearing a decent conversation out of the blonde’s mouth rather than the irritable man she had to deal with before. What made him so content to sharing a pleasant conversation, she wondered. His stories though were certainly interesting to say the least.
“You don’t normally have these types of conversations with every woman you bring here now, do you~?” she teased lightheartedly. “This is the most pleasant conversation we’ve ever had yet.” A soft laugh escaped from her lips as she looked off to hear the faint clash of weapons. The sound of pride colliding against one another, to prove who had the bigger ego, to show them, even in the afterlife there was still strength. Power left within the memories of lives that used to be.
In a way, she felt she could understand where he was coming from. It was… disturbing to think that there is nothingness after your life has been spent. Thinking such nihilistic ways could drive anyone insane, because she wanted to believe there was a place after life where even shadows go when there was a light at the end of the road. That you’re existence didn’t just… end there once you’ve died.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie This was rather pleasant, wasn't it? Nightmare couldn't help but smile a little. Usually he didn't have someone he could have a decent, intelligent conversation with. Most people were either too stupid or had too short a fuse. Merik for example, would try to outwit him, as if trying to prove he was some mastermind, only for Nightmare to just turn the whole thing around on him. And Zelda's knights were just too stupid to even function. If Nightmare ever wanted to see Princess Zelda, he just had to toss them a riddle and walk on by without any further hindrance. It was somewhat pathetic sometimes. It was such a shame that she came from another world. Maybe they could have met sooner. The way things were going in Hyrule, perhaps their meeting could have been a little warmer had catastrophes not been surrounding everything. Though that actually made him wonder; just what would happen when this was all over and both of them survived? Would she have to go back to the Twilight Realm, never to return? That would be a bit of a downer, having been freed from eons of banishment only to go right back where they came from as thanks for helping save the world that was, in a way, responsible for their banishment. "You're the first intruder in the mirror in ages. And the reason I'm telling is because if I don't, you'll come back in here to figure it out and I might not be there to save you next time." Nightmare looked back at the princess, justifying his reason for explaining things to her. Considering how like him she was, she wouldn't be satisfied until she knew the full story. Not to mention that he genuinely didn't want anything bad happening to her so anything to keep her out of the mirror and out of Lucien's grasp would be something worth pursuing, even if it meant having to tell her everything earlier than he would've liked to.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows "I must say, I'm quite honored," she snickered softly. Yes, she pulled a reckless stunt there, but it only proved the point further that if he didn't have a sense of care for the woman then he probably would have just left her to her own devices. Perhaps even get into deeper trouble than she had before. That was perhaps a little too much fun for one woman to handle~ Either way, she was glad for the most part that at least for the time being the two of them weren't debating on whose troll levels was the highest. Didn't he get lonely? Or did he rationalize it with his title of being an emperor, the idea of company was pleasant, but not really required~?
Still, she was quite glad to know beforehand rather than having to figure things out on her own. While it was her most favorable method, sometimes it tended to lead to unwanted results, the incident that occurred earlier was a perfect example of such things. Regardless if her safety though, even if she didn't admit to it, she was actually rather grateful for his assistance. Also the extent of his kindness was a sweet taste on the tip of her tongue.
If Midna could read his thoughts she would have agreed with him. If the circumstances were far more pleasant than what they were these days then perhaps they could have met sooner, and given a warmer welcome... maybe. Though she could only brush such 'if only' thoughts away knowing that since this was the present, it wasn't going to change facts as they stood. Hyrule was torn asunder, nations were on the brink of total chaos, and it was only a matter of time before it escalates even further than what was going on now. It was moments like these that she felt grateful that nothing disastrous as struck yet.
The twilight princess kept her attention on Night for a bit longer than expected. Her thoughts lead astray back recollecting on whether or not if she's met this man before hand. It was absolutely outrageous that it was still going through her mind, but she humored herself thinking, maybe in another lifetime. This time it'll be different. Much different than before~

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Nightmare smirked when she called all of this an honor. He wasn't entirely sure if she was being sarcastic or not. Knowing her, there was a real chance that she was indeed being sarcastic about the entire thing. This couldn't have been too fun, what with everyone trying to kill you. Nightmare loved to fight, and the position of Emperor allowed him to get that urge out. But having to constantly defend yourself against other Emperors, that couldn't be fun. "Well, honor or no, just stay out of the mirror, alright? You aren't an Empress so you would get attacked. That's the entire reason they leave me alone, I'm in their shoes." He made sure to get it across one more time. He couldn't deny the feeling of familiarity either. In a way, it felt like that he had known her for a long time. While utterly impossible, he didn't mind playing with it somewhat, so long as he knew that it was just a feeling. Though said feeling really didn't bring thoughts of cold, or anger, but rather, it brought a sensation of warmth. He wasn't really sure why though. Regardless, it ended up bringing a smile to his face, though there was no way he would let the Twilight Princess see it, lest she start poking and prodding. "Anything else you'd like to know?" Nightmare wanted to make sure things were explained as best he could. He didn't want her going back in this mirror. She wasn't an Empress, she wasn't part of the "royal family" so to say, so she would be attacked. Though Nightmare found the idea of the Empire having a royal family a bit odd. They didn't have a hereditary rule, it was just ascension by assassination. Nightmare wondered if there was even a way to avert the rule of assassination. Maybe if he were to get a family going, he could call off the assassination method and instill hereditary rule. He knew that any kid of his would be good enough.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows "I hear you," she smiled. Whether or not it was serious was another thing, but the look in her eyes would remind him that he wasn't being ignored. In fact, it was rather friendly for the princess, but he deserved the slightest bit of slack for being a nice guy for now. While it was nice to have the attention on her, it would probably get tiresome after a while, and Midna found that one person's eyes on her were plenty enough for the time being. She found it rather comforting that, regardless of how it was looked at, he cared as a whole. He really wasn't at all that bad of a guy~
Midna had to convince herself that such errant thoughts wouldn't serve any purpose between the two of them. The reality behind it was that they just met at the lake, they encountered one another again at the scene of a disaster nearly trying to destroy a town. Now they were in a mirror strolling through a hellish influenced wonderland. Now that her curiosity had been satiated, she felt the need to return back to her room.
"Just one thing," she pursed her lips before turning her attention over to the area that was covered by Night's spacey projection. Slick silver sublime stars littered the black masses in between, big and small, everywhere around them. "Got a thing for the extraterrestrial?" she asked flirtatiously.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Good, she agreed. Nightmare mentally let out a sigh of relief that she agreed to stay away from the mirror. She didn't need to go digging herself into more trouble. But, her question definitely caught his attention. He knew the tone, he knew she was flirting with him. He couldn't help but score a bit of a victory, at least in his head. He wasn't the one who initiated it, so that meant that he was having some kind of effect. Maybe it was the fact that he was being polite and cooperative, at least showing her around, maybe that was how he was going to win this little challenge. Turning his head, he gave the Twilight Princess an amused look. "Well, you're the first extraterrestrial I've ever met." He was actually surprised that there was other life out there. Granted, not in the sky, but in another dimension. But still, she could still be classified as an extraterrestrial, as she didn't come from this world. "I have to admit though, I'm not disappointed~" He gave a seductive chuckle. He knew how this worked, and he wouldn't be the one melting just yet, though if he could get her to blush a bit, that would be a sign of personal victory to him. Though, that wasn't the real reason for his theme being space. The reality was a lot simpler, and probably a lot sillier. "My area is space because I hate the idea of there being an end. Just because a story ends doesn't mean a new one can't start. To me, the universe is unending. You can stare out as far as your eyes will allow, you will never reach the end of the universe. It's brilliant, fascinating, and gorgeous." He wasn't a fan of final endings. Granted, he liked happy endings, not that he'd admit that just yet. But he liked it when a new story started.

She crawls into the window through shapes and shadows Just because he was playing nice guy didn't mean it gave him the advantage. Midna did prefer this side of him, but she knew it was only a one time thing. One of the rare moments she'd actually get the chance to see his nice side. To her, it made her feel special, but she would not submit to defeat that easily. Oh no~ Especially not to Nightmare. She would stand defiant towards the Emperor until her very last breath... but that didn't mean she wasn't going to enjoy his company, least it was pleasant to be around.
Besides, Nightmare didn't have any trouble keeping up with her antics. A smile escaped from her lips as he entertained her with with his thoughts of life from another world. Midna was actually very amused as he tried to woo her with his charm, but it only served one purpose, and it flattered her. It didn't help that her confidence gain a couple of points (or perhaps it was her ego going up) but still, it was nice to know his thoughts. He was cute, but he wasn't heartthrob material... at least, not yet anyways~
Her carmine eyes flickered at his explanation as to why his area is space. She never quite thought of such a perspective before, and as a matter of fact, it was that little idea that brought a blush across her cheeks. To her, it sounded very romantic, and it caused a girlish giggle escape from her lips.
There was some truth to what he spoke about as well, the universe never ended, even if a star disappeared, and life ended. A new one somewhere out there was born unto this massive universe. Inching closer towards Nightmare, she brought her eyes up, fluttering her long lashes at him prettily, in an attempt to be cute. "I never knew you had a romantic side to you," she purred affectionately. "I must say I rather like it, you know~"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She blushed! Score one for Nightmare. He noticed as it spread across her cheeks. He had to admit, this was something he could actually get used to. She was pretty cute when she was actually blushing. He wondered just who was winning at this point, and in a way, he felt that he was the one in the lead now. However, there was something that he wouldn't catch onto before it happened, and it would catch him off guard. Though really, he wouldn't complain about it, as it would be a rather pleasant moment. The world around them continued to be morphed into space. He rather enjoyed it. Stars littered his reality, and her words concerning that surprised her. He wouldn't lie, his heart started to beat a little faster when she scooted closer and looked at him, even purring in an affectionate manner. She was... surprisingly good at this, causing a light blush to form across his cheeks in a moment of surprise. Great, there was no way she would let that go. Nightmare probably wouldn't hear the end of this for a long time. He could only wonder just what she would say the moment that she picked up on the blushing. Regardless, he did his best to brush it off and composted himself. "I wasn't aware you found space romantic." He found it rather odd to find space romantic. To him, space was many things, but the idea of it being romantic never really crossed his mind. He had always seen it as a symbol of the ongoing, of the unending, of new horizons. He just couldn't fathom why she would find space, of all things, romantic instead of stuff that Night thought was... actually romantic. Maybe she was seeing something that he wasn't, maybe there was something about space that he was missing that could be seen as romantic. Now he was curious, just what could be romantic about space anyway? Nightmare looked at the Princess with a glint of curiosity, just wondering what she was thinking. "So tell me then, why exactly do you find space romantic?" Nightmare quirked an eyebrow. Maybe she could make him see something that he was missing.
