The Pain.
The Hylian's adrenaline began to wear off now and he was feeling all of both arrow wounds. Blood was still hemorrhaging from his mouth. He stumbled into the town, which was very active but that’s not surprising seeing how it was the town of Hyrule. People were everywhere doing everything, from shopping, to talking, to even playing with random stray dogs. Nobody seemed to noticed the wounded Hylian as he barley walked into the town.
Animus broke each of the front of the arrows so now they were just sticking out of his back. His vision began to blur as the pain just took over his body. Normally he would just use his healing ability to heal himself, but it wouldn’t do no good due to the fact that these wounds were much bigger than his healing capabilities could heal. He began to look around for anyone who looked like they could help him in anyway. Still, no one seemed to even notice the black haired Hylian in deep pain.
After a few moments of looking, Animus stumbled on and leaned against a nearby wall. Was there a decent soul in this town? There had to be, this was Hyrule after all. As his vision was almost completely gone, he wiped the blood from his mouth and let out one last word before he collapsed onto the ground below.
“Help...”

Animus missed one person in the streets that were willing to help.
Titania was in town.
As if she were summoned by the golden goddesses themselves, she was walking down that particular street when he fell over in pain. She quickly ran over to him and kneeled down to get a better look at the wounds.
"This isn't good. We need a place for you to lay down. Come on, lean on me and I'll take you to my inn room." Without another word, she put his arm over her and began walking down the road to the inn.

The wounded Hylian was suddenly helped to his feet, he couldn't even make out the strange figures appearance that was helping him. All he knew was they meant to do good as they aided the Hylian to a close inn. Once inside, Animus breifly heard some random words from both, his helper and the inn keeper, before being brought through a door and into a room.
Animus's savior lightly laid him on a bed, he was so out of it that he had no idea what was going on, not to mention his wounds still causing him much pain. The Hylian tried to focus his eyes on whoever was helping him, but it just wouldn't clear up. After a few more moments, the Hylian passed out on the bed due him being as physically drained as he was. His last thought before passing out was that he hoped this savior would heal him.

Titania didn't say much to the barkeep when she entered. This wasn't the first time something like this happened, and she was good friends with him. She frequented this inn for its hospitality during her many misadventures outside of the Sacred Grove.
Once she made it to the room, a simple inn with a bed, chair, and desk, she laid him out on the bed, on his stomach, where he promptly passed out. At least that meant he wouldn't struggle against the pain.
"Forest, give me strength." She said while she prepared some healing for the injured man. She focused on the two arrows, pulling them out and then dressing the wounds with her hands. Thanks to her white magic, she was never short healing spells. When that was finished, she slowly turned him over and healed the wounds on his other side, from the very same arrows. By the end of it, her hands were covered in blood, but it was of no consequence.
After the wounds were dressed by her healing hands, she left the room to go get him some water and food, and a little something for herself. She was a little tired, between hauling him from the ground to the inn and using multiple healing spells, she was a little drained. She also wanted to wash her hands, since there was an abundant amount of blood on them.

Animus had been awoken suddenly when his body felt rejuvenated. His vision was perfect and he was no longer bleeding from his mouth. The Hylian looked down at his body and noticed the arrows had been removed and that the wounds were all healed up. The person who healed him did a quick and flawless job and it appeared they didn't want any thanks as they were no longer in the room with him.
He sat up on the bed when the door to the room began to open. He watched as a female entered the area, she appeared to be just a normal women. She had elegant hair, a bright face, and along with that was accompanied by a green top and khaki colored pants. She also had a few pieces of armor placed about her body. He noticed that in her hand was some food and a drink, which at that point it was apparent to Animus that she was his savior. The Hylian hopped out of the bed gracefully and approached the female.
"You have my life," he spoke, which was accompanied by a formal bow. "My name is Animus Triton and I am in your debt." the Hylian added, continuing to bow.

Titania awoke to find the man awake and relaxing, which quickly ended once he hopped out of bed. Titania rolled her eyes as he introduced himself and put down the food and drink on the table before motioning for him to lay down.
"The wounds haven't completely healed yet. My magic can seal them and ease the pain but the body has to do reparations on its own. Lay back down before you undo all the work." Her voice was unnaturally harsh, given her lighthearted tone, but she had no intention of losing him to his own stupidity.
Once he laid back down, she went back to examining the wounds. They were still bloody, as was a lot of him. She sighed and went to sit down on the chair, orienting it so she was sitting facing the bed, not far from where he lay.
"You lost a lot of blood. I'm going to recommend you lay here for the next few hours before I let you get back to your duties." She put a hand on his forehead, then down on his neck, checking vitals to make sure everything was working.
"Anyway, my name's Titania. This is my room at the Castle Town inn, and until I see you fit to leave, you will remain here in my care."

As soon as he finished his introduction and looked up he noticed the female motioning for him to lay back down.
"The wounds haven't completely healed yet. My magic can seal them and ease the pain but the body has to do reparations on its own. Lay back down before you undo all the work."
Animus was laying back down as fast as he stood up, after getting a better look and snapping out of his thrilled mood, he could tell his body did indeed need some more time to recover.
"You lost a lot of blood. I'm going to recommend you lay here for the next few hours before I let you get back to your duties," she said as she placed her hand on his forehead and then to his neck to see if everything was in working order.
"Anyway, my name's Titania. This is my room at the Castle Town inn, and until I see you fit to leave, you will remain here in my care."
The Hylian was well aware of what was needed to be done. He nodded at her introduction and the prompt order she had given him. Animus had hoped he would heal rather quickly so he could continue on his tasks he had planned to do before being wounded by the Gerudo's. With his initial intentions on hold for the time being, he laid his head back and closed his eyes.
"It's nice to meet you by the way," he said with a slight smirk running across his face.

Titania smiled back. He closed his eyes, and looked to be much more at peace now. She thought to let him rest, give him some shut-eye, but she didn't work that way. Besides, in case she wanted to get a bit more personal, she'd like to know some things about her patient.
"Nice to meet you too Animus. But tell me, what were you doing that caused you to end up stumbling through town with two arrow wounds? This seems like more than typical knight work, especially since you were alone. Is Wilder taking on more than he can chew now?" She smirked at the thought. Azler Wilder, Hylian Knight Commander, now putting his knights in harm's way. All of this was indeed fishy to her.

His eyes opened and fixated on Titania, he was surprised she even wanted to know what happened to him.
"Well you see," the Hylian began to speak, "I was being chased by Gerudo thieves because they want my head, basically. After they chased me into a small village not too far from here, I thought I was going to be captured but I out smarted them. One of there members were on a horse and I kicked him off and stole it. Simple. After that, I used that horse to get here as fast as possible, but they still chased. Ravage bastards stared to shoot arrows at me, and eventually got the horse I was riding along with piercing me as well. As far as Wilder goes, this had nothing to do with him or his Knights." Animus grabbed for his drink and took a quick sip, and then set it back down.
"So yeah, that's basically what happened in shorter terms," he continued. "I dont plan to bore you with my traveling stories," the Hylian added as he let out a small laugh.

Titania rolled her eyes once again. It seemed this man was incredibly foolish, at least based on what he was telling her now. Men should never go near the desert, unless they're with the pirates.
"Skipping the obvious questions, like what a Hylian Knight was doing in the desert, I'll just tell you you're safe now. It wouldn't be the first time I nursed a Knight back to health. However, I would advise you stay away from the desert in the future. Gerudo aren't known for being kind towards men." She took a sip of her own drink before setting it back on the table and leaning back against her chair. What a strange man. Judging by his tan skin, it was probably not his first time in the desert.

Animus noticed Titania roll her eyes, again. It was obvious she thought he was unintelligent. This meant he was going to have to explain himself and why he was in the desert in the first place.
"Skipping the obvious questions, like what a Hylian Knight was doing in the desert, I'll just tell you you're safe now. It wouldn't be the first time I nursed a Knight back to health. However, I would advise you stay away from the desert in the future. Gerudo aren't known for being kind towards men."
"From the look you are giving me, you think I am an imbecile," he sat up slowly, and adjusted until he was in a comfortable position. "I wasn't just adventuring out in the desert for fun, to let you know. I was escaping. Like I said, I don't plan to bore you, although, we will be here for a while. So if you want to know the reason I was in the desert, then I will enlighten you," the Hylian said to his savior. Who knows, maybe she was curious to know why he was in the desert for no apparent reason. If she did want to know, then she would find out his reason wasn't so absurd after all. Thinking she probably didn't care, he carried on.
"So, tell me. You have magnificent healing abilities, much greater than my own. What are you?" Animus questioned Titania as he adjusted the pillow behind him.

Titania listened to his explanation. It made sense that he wished to escape, but something was missing from that. Something particularly big.
"Well, unless you were captured and brought to the desert, you went to the desert yourself, and then got captured and had to escape. So I guess the determining factor of whether or not you are an imbecile is this: Why were you in the desert in the first place?" She leaned back and smiled again, a more mischievous smile than before.
"As for who I am, I believe this will help answer your question." She opened up her wings, letting them sparkle against the incoming sunlight. Without a doubt, they were the wings of a fairy. "Now then, about that reason..." she allowed him to continue, to answer her question before she reached any conclusions.

Indeed she was curious after all.
Animus was taken back when wings expanded from her back, but it wasn't a bad taken back. He was just surprised at the sparkling wings before him, it was clear she was a Fairy.
"Alright then, now that's out of the way, you should get comfy," Animus suggested as he prepared to tell his life story.
"I was born into a pretty wealthy Hylian family. Where we lived was mostly beautiful gardens and such with a small ponds and a small combat quarters. I was found there more often than not, because I wanted to be just like my father, a knight. He said I showed great potential as a fighter and he was proud. My mother wasn't too found of this path, but she didn't force me to stop. One night our home was invaded by the Gerudos. They were ruthless killing people and showed no mercy. The local Hylian Knights held them off for a while but were eventually outmatched. Finally after a few days of fighting, they lost and our home was taken by group of Gerudos. My father was killed by a Gerudo soldier after denying an order. After his death they made me and my mother slaves," Animus paused and took a deep breath, it wasn't everyday he told someone about his past.
"I was about 5 years old when I finally deiced I was going to join the Hylian Knights and get revenge. At that age I knew I wouldn't get in, but when I got older I would prove my worth. This desire mostly was because my mother was taken from me. From then on I would always give them bastards looks of death. Eventually, they got tired of me looking at them like that so they tortured me and threw me into this small dungeon to fend for myself," the Hylian carefully crawled out of the bed and walked over to the nearby window. He then leaned his arm against it and peered outside, observing that it was now nightfall and the moon was lighting up the quiet town. Looking back over his shoulder at Titania, he continued to speak.
"I rarely tell people about my past. But seeing how I owe you my life, you mine as well know about it. Shall I continue?" he asked the Fairy.

Titania was a bit taken aback by his story. Parts of it just seemed so sad. But, in the end, her suspicions were confirmed. He was, in fact, an imbecile. Or just too hard-headed. Wait a minute, something was still off. She looked at him with a confused look before continuing.
"So you aren't finished yet? Because there is no part there where you join the Hylian Knights. Am I to believe you escaped, joined the knights, gained a level of respect with them, and then returned to the desert for revenge?" If her suspicions were correct, he was certainly an imbecile. To a degree, it was her never understanding tragic loss, since her life had been mostly sunshine and roses up to this point. But she did understand facing immeasurable odds and not understanding that could be your death.

Animus grinned which was followed by a small chuckle. It was clear she was a bit confused about his story.
"I spent weeks in this dungeon using my own will power to survive. Occasionally, this one Gerudo thief would come down into the dungeon and feed me. After a while she helped me escape the dungeon and took to caring for me. This is where I learned the ways of the Gerudo, and also adapted to their appearance, but I have reverted my appearance back to my heritage here recently. I lived with her in the desert for quite a few years, actually. However, word travels fast and I learned that they heard of my disappearance and that they came to look for me. Seeing how they failed, I'm sure they didn't spare my caretakers life. Nevertheless, I was long gone and on my way to Hyrule Castle to join the Knights. On the way to the castle is when I received my arrow wounds that you gracefully healed," Animus turned completely around from the window and walked back toward his bed.
"So you see, I plan on joining the Knights as soon as I am fully healed. I need to avenge my family...they need to have something so prized to them just taken from them. Being that they are Gerudos, that prized thing is their lives. I have a slight advantage when fighting them due to me growing up in the desert. So call me unintelligent if you please, but I will have my revenge one way or another, " the Hylian raised his hands and placed them over his two wounds, one hand on each. The Hylian Crest then appeared and glowed a bright yellow on the back of his hands. Yellow aura engulfed around his hands as he touched his wounds.
"I can heal as well, but not nearly as flawlessly as yourself. I only hope this will speed my recovery," he said as he lowered his hands, the Hylian Crest disappearing from his hands, and got back into the bed comfortably.

Titania shook her head and sighed. He wasn't going to like what she had to say, but she was trying to save his life. She knew he would probably get a few of them, but what he was planning was a suicide mission.
She leaned in so as to make her point clear. And to get a bit closer to the handsome man in her midst. "Look Animus, I know you're not going to like hearing this, but you need to stay away from the desert. You know as well as I that those women are not pushovers, and there are more of them. Sure, 1-on-1 you could probably take them but this isn't a duel, you'd be fighting the entire camp. For the sake of everyone who has helped you to this point, don't make their efforts in vain." She stood up off of the chair and began to pace. She had a feeling were efforts would be in vain. Very rarely did people listen when they were so dead-set on something. But she had ways to make people listen to her, and agree.

She was right, he didn't like what she had to say but he also knew what she said was true. He couldn't just go backing to the desert by himself and hope to survive. Animus laid back on the bed so he was fully extended and looked up at the ceiling, placing his hands behind his head. Shifting his eyes to the pacing women, he began to say something, but stopped. Thoughts ran rampant throughout his mind.
"Dying for my family wouldn't be in vain." He said after a few moments of thinking. "But I understand what you are saying, I don't plan on going out there to just die. And I don't plan on going back out there so soon, it will be a while before I do, if I do." He added as he went from looking at the Fairy to looking back at the ceiling.
"By now I refuse to believe you think I am that stupid." Animus said grinning.

Titania sighed. At least he wasn't going back immediately. Maybe one day he will have reason to head to the desert for more than just vengeance. It would be interesting to behold the man's progress. For now, he seemed to be recovering well, which was important.
"If you were to head back immediately, yes you would be that stupid. But at least you're not going to be making that poor of a decision." Titania wasn't convinced his days of rash decisions were over just yet. The man had seen more than his share of tragedy and just had a brush with death. Wise, calculated decision making didn't seem like a starting off point after all that.
She decided to check on his wounds once more. She lifted his shirt to get a closer look at how they were mending. She poked it lightly a couple of times to gauge a reaction from Animus. "How does that feel?"

"If I did that, then I wouldn't even be insulted if you called me stupid or any other names you could come up with." He said as he grabbed the small food product of the table, took a bite, and sat it back down.
The Fairy then lifted up his shirt and checked on his wounds, as she poked at them to see how it felt, Animus surprised how much he had healed. Though, he clearly wasn't at one hundred percent.
"How does that feel?"
"Surprisingly not that bad, I think I could take a few more arrows." He said sarcastically while laughing. The Hylian definitely needed some more time before he was completely healed but figured he should try to make the best of things.

Titania was surprised at how well Animus was doing. In all fairness, he did use his own magic to heal up, but he was still doing a fantastic job. He might be out sooner than expected.
Titania nodded and then an evil grin came across her face. "A few more arrows huh, that can be arranged." She pulled an arrow from her quiver, strung it on her bow, and shot Animus in the side with it. It wouldn't sting, it would actually make him feel better. She did have healing arrows actually.
"You should be more careful about what you say Animus" she explained as she smoothly removed the arrow, leaving no blood or wound. She then giggled and put the arrow away.
