It would be cliche to say that the light realm was even more extraordinary then Terezi had imagined, but it absolutely was. And if it where possible to make her even more resentful about loosing her sight, then this was what would do it. There where so many things here that she really wanted to see that she couldn't. Terezi could hear everything still, and get a good idea of how things looked with her sensing ability, but it wasn't enough. She wanted to see the sunlight. Light wasn't something that really had a scent. It hardly ever had a color. It was just light. She could still smell the way it bounced off of things, ever her own body. It hurt. When she was in the shade, it just itched. It was wrong that this was uncomfortable.
She wouldn't think about that, though. She was still too awestruck to want revenge for her lost sight. That burning fire inside of her was quenched for the moment by the river, and everything else around it. The plants and the fish. Everything. She would enjoy this while she could. Midna didn't need all of her guards with her all the time, so she got a little time to herself to play. Terezi was glad that Midna trusted her not to do something that would ruin them while she had time to herself. Terezi was very capable of such a thing, but in order for that to happen there would have to be someone else around. There wasn't. As far as she could tell, this stretch of the river was uninhabited! She didn't know why. It was wonderful!
It was probably for the best that no one was around. Terezi made for an odd sight. She was all decked out in her guarding gear still, weapons and all. Her shield was strapped to her back, and she was crouched to the ground with her ass pointing in the air, and her face stuck an a bunch of flowers. They. Smelled. So. Good.
So good

The Twili would be an odd sight indeed, if Morrigan was actually paying attention to it. Before she was a Vanguard, she was a magician, and being a magician naturally entailed doing research. She often went to various areas to test how her magic held up against various structures or substances, or perhaps to see how far she could extend the range without forfeiting accuracy. In this case, the trip was for the latter, and she was extending her maximum known range from one mile. She had set a target on a tree about thirty minutes prior before walking a mile and a half away, unaware a Twili would go into her testing area, and coincidentally be not but five feet away from the target she had set.
"Bit of a breeze, shouldn't affect trajectory," Morrigan commented as a small amount of wind began to pick up, toying with the side tail she had her hair tied into. She had her feet firmly dug into the earth, making sure that she wouldn't be thrown off, and her faithful weapon Atlas gripped firmly in both hands. It was a calm day, and it seemed nobody was in the general area, to her knowledge. While this wouldn't stop her from testing, bodies in the line of fire could mess with the data.
"Everything seems good, readying shot," she continued to think out loud as she took the side handle near the cartridge, pulling it back twice as she readied two rounds in the staff. She figured she'd test the high power shot first, as there was no reason to test the range on her low power shot. Generally if she needed to use that, the target was well within range. She preferred using her more powerful shots on distant targets. The low power shot she knew could strike within a mile with accuracy, but she didn't know if the high power shot could go further.
And with pretty much no warning, a giant pink laser shot from the staff, practically cutting the air in its path. It struck the target, along with the tree, and all the trees around it, nearly hitting the Twili in the process. She didn't really know that though, nor did she really care. As she looked, she saw the nice bit of destruction that the laser had caused, and the same hormonal high surged through her as normal. She got used to it, so outside she didn't change, but inside she felt all giddy like a school girl. It was so great to destroy things.
"Should probably check if it actually hit the target before I write down any results," she suggested to herself as she began jogging towards the area of the previously-existent target, staff in one hand resting on her shoulder.

In Terezi's "sight", everything was glowy and bright here in the light realm. She was just getting over the problem that she had, it had shocked her senses a bit to come here. She was getting better at finding her way around. It was more of a state of mind thing than anything, she had to think differently in the light realm to see. It was a bit tiring.
Even her inability to sense as well as she did in the Twilight, she could still tell when something big and bright was coming her way very quickly. It was something that she couldn't ignore. It was so very sudden. She was ripped away from her leisure time by a hot streak of light coming right at her.
Evasive action was really the only option. Terezi didn't know where it was coming from, or why it was aimed at her. She could only assume that it was malicious. Just as the beam of light hit near where she had been relaxing, she sprang up and rolled out of the way.
Something was trying to kill her. That was the only explanation. Terezi didn't even pause to take stock of the situation before she dematerialized into a shadow nearby. She knew that she would never leave a target without making absolutely sure that it was dead, so whoever had attacked her was bound to show up sooner or later.
She just had to wait.

Eventually, the magician arrived at the area where her laser had connected, blasting most of the tree to smithereens except for the trunk. The trunk had scorch marks along the inside, from the laser tearing through it and causing the rest of the tree in question to be destroyed, or come crashing to the ground if it was at the very top. The trees around it also got hit, but not to nearly as much of an extent, but they lost much of their structural integrity. Two of them on each side of the tree she hit had half of their center blown out, and the weight of their top halves caused them to begin crashing. However, they fell onto each other, and ended up forming a small arch-way. Taking a quick glance at the other trees, she didn't see the target she had set-up, and assumed she managed to strike home.
"Center of the blast was around where the target was, range struck each of the trees around it," Morrigan continued to think aloud as she unhooked a plain-covered book from behind her, flipping to the page she was currently on. She set her staff down on the grass and sat down beside it, pulling out an ink vial from her pack along with a feather to write with. She continued from where she had left off, about half way down the page, and at the moment the page seemed to be talking about people's verbal ticks when they're lying.
"Designated target was hit dead-on, mile and a half distance was met with minimal loss of accuracy, but only in the case of still targets, will need to begin testing on live targets at a mile and a half..." she rambled on to herself as she kept writing, not even aware that someone was in the vicinity. She didn't figure anyone was around, so it wouldn't hurt at all to speak aloud. It helped her keep track of what she was thinking as she wrote, after all, and trying to work in three different places at once made things difficult.
"Recommended to first test on Gorons to see if it can hit a slow, but durable target to make sure damage is reliable, then wild minish to test both user accuracy and speed of the rounds and see if they are outmatched," Morrigan corked the ink vial shut as she finished writing, putting both it and the feather away along with the book she wrote in. For now, she felt her work was done, and picked up her staff while brushing grass off of herself, preparing to get going and head off for a different area. Minish nor Gorons resided in the vicinity near the river, or rather at least this far up the river; she'd need to move to them in order to continue her testing.
