The Hylian Knights, Hylians that have proven themselves masters of combat or skilled tacticians, are world renowned for their fierce loyalty and determination in protecting Hyrule Castle and the Royal Family above all else.
The Hylian Knight Commander is one of the most powerful beings in Hyrule, not only for the strength and skill that comes with being the personal defender of Princess Zelda, who only answers to her, but also because he ranks on equal ground with the Race Leaders when it comes to legal matters.
The Hylian Knight Lieutenants below him are followed when the Commander isn't around, and while their power isn't as great, they are still respected by their peers for the duties they follow.
Hylian Knights are tested by the Commander of the Knights and must receive his permission to be able to join. Also requires 50 Posts.
Recently, due to the discrimination against Hybrids by numerous individuals throughout Hyrule, the Commander has created a special Hybrid Division, codenamed Sentinels, to roam Hyrule and protect them from racists.
All Knights are given magical armor and weaponry to use as they see fit. Some use only pieces of the armor, while many, namely the Castle Guard, can be seen donned in every single piece. All of the equipment has been blessed and given Magical Resistance, increasing their defense against magical damage, while also having been imbued with the Essence of Light, increasing their Light-oriented damage and decreasing damage dealt by Darkness and Shadow even more. Every piece of equipment the Hylian Knights have is magically bound to their soul, preventing anyone else from being able to use it.
Hylian Knight Equipment
All magical damage the Hylian receives when wearing his armor is decreased by half a level. The armour also decreases damage dealt by Darkness or Shadow magic by an additional half a level. Any light-based magic attack is increased by half a level in damage.
