Tactical Espionage (Finished)

Titania sat alone in her bedroom, clad in her bedroom attire, finishing up a handwritten letter to Vriska Seraphine, Lady of the Oocca. She had a new assignment for her newest spy, and had summoned him for a debriefing. She was taking a huge risk, sending out a new spy on such a dangerous assignment. But if he was going to help her, he had to be good at his job, and this was the best way to figure this out.

She finished the letter and sealed it with her own personal seal. Sitting back, she wondered about some of her previous decisions, but she couldn't dwell on them. What's done is done, and now she needed to make sure the decision she made was the right one. And it would be nice to know if the man's espionage talents were equal to some of his others.

Relaxation wasn't something that Wolfy was used to. At all. Living in comfortable conditions weren't something he was used to either to be honest. He was so used to not living in such conditions that he found it a little unnerving. Worrying. Made him wary of every little surrounding and each person. He'd gotten something for practically nothing and he didn't like that idea. There were usually hardships involved and yet nothing yet. Not a damn thing. It was enough to keep the thief on edge.

Though a knock at the door made him leap to see what it was that whomever it was wanted. Though what he got was something he'd been expecting but not quite this late. He'd been summoned to see her again. Now the question was, for work or other things? None the less he nodded and without a single question, without a single complaint he set off for her chambers.

A light knock at her door signalled his arrival. Nothing more than that. He didn't speak. He didn't even say hello, he just wondered what it was that she had in mind. Why she'd called him. He hoped it was for a job, hoped that he'd get to just... Go out, get away from the ever so comfortable, worryingly comfortable, surroundings he'd been placed within.

"You called for me?" The words that he eventually got out, a soft relaxed smile on his features betrayed the worry that he felt. Not even his voice let on that he felt awkward in the place. He just sounded as normal as he could be, after all, that feeling of awkwardness was something that he had felt before and learned to deal with accordingly.

Titania stood up, hearing the knock on her door. Good, he had arrived. This was important and she didn't waste time in getting up and to the door. Seeing him there on the other side of the door was a relief, and she wasted no time in summoning him inside and walking to the table, sitting down and asking him to sit across it. The table was a plain wooden table, standing out from the elegant bed and tapestries that adorned her room.

"Welcome Wolf, please take a seat and we'll discuss business." She knew he might be a bit taken aback by her lack of real clothing. It didn't matter, he had already seen all of her. She wasn't even sure whether or not he would ask for one more round before he left. She sat down and awaited him to do the same.

The door was opened and he arched a brow at what she was wearing. Okay so, she was wearing some sort of lingerie. Though, in all fairness it was her room, her palace, she could do whatever she damn well pleased so he just shrugged it off and followed once he was gestured to come in. Closing the door behind himself as he went he kept his eyes on her, that smile still on his face. Though something, that table looked a little odd in contrast to the rest of the room, he still rolled with it. He'd seen stranger things.

"Welcome Wolf, please take a seat and we'll discuss business." All right good so that meant it was a job. That meant he'd be able to leave the palace grounds and get his hands dirty. Do something that was more along what he wanted to do. Not that he was complaining at all. Slowly he sat down across from her, hands kept to himself so that he didn't just start poking at things in the room. It was hard actually, mainly because he'd been used to thieving and this was odd, trying to fit in to this place. Not doing what came naturally to him.

"Sure thing... So... What's the job then, and just tell me the truth, don't go hiding anything because I don't mind, I'd still do whatever the job is anyway, after all... What's life without a little danger?" Hands now lifted to the back of his neck interlocking the fingers to that he leaned back a little and his hands were in plain sight.

The arched brow was not lost on Titania. Glad he still liked what he saw. When he sat down however, it was time to get started. She pushed the letter toward him, instructing him to take it. Her hands were folded on the table as she began to debrief him.

"Take good care of that letter. It is to be delivered to Vriska Seraphine, acting Oocca leader in place of Ryst. On the record, you are going to deliver this letter to Vriska Seraphine. If anyone asks, you are simply a messenger who answers directly for me." She adjusted in her chair. This next part is the difficult one.

"You are going to use the status of messenger to gain access to the oocca palace. There I want to find one of the oocca adjuncts. He made a visit here recently and I made a decision I rather regret, and I don't trust his motives. His name is Zolanius. Find him, and if at all possible, find something to connect him to the one they call the Raven Shade. Understand?"

Looking at the letter that was pushed towards him he eyed it for a second, obviously he was supposed to take it and so he did. Taking it and putting it inside a pocket that was in the lining of his jacket.

"Take good care of that letter. It is to be delivered to Vriska Seraphine, acting Oocca leader in place of Ryst." Okay so that was the first thing he had to do. Though he doubted that she only wanted something as simple as that. After all if she did? Then she could've simply sent a messenger.

"On the record, you are going to deliver this letter to Vriska Seraphine. If anyone asks, you are simply a messenger who answers directly for me."

"Right... That seems easy enough..." That didn't really seem all that hard. At all. Though he knew never to misjudge things or he could in fact end up six feet under.

"Find him, and if at all possible, find something to connect him to the one they call the Raven Shade. Understand?" So that was everything, it really was spy work after all. Though Wolfy nodded. He understood well and truly.

"All right... I understand... Might take a little while but I'll at least deliver that letter and if I don't get that information, I'll probably die trying. So if you get wind of my death you can just deny everything and say I must have been working under my own motives. Easy to clean up." No one could be too careful. No one. It also seemed like a good idea to be honest. Full denyability. Perfect.

Titania nodded to Wolfy. "I can't deny that this will be dangerous. I don't know what will happen if you get caught. But do not risk your life simply trying to get the information. I would rather you escape with no information than die after having found something. We're walking a fine line right now. I don't know what will happen if you get captured, and I don't want to know." Despite the seriousness of the situation, she couldn't help but smirk at her next comment going through her head. "I know trying to get more and getting caught worked out for you last time, but I wouldn't expect that to work out again."

She stood up. "Is everything clear? I can't stress how important this is." Her eyes showed her concern about this mission. High risk, potential for a high reward.

"I can't deny that this will be dangerous. I don't know what will happen if you get caught." He just smiled, if he got caught well that'd be interesting, well not at the time but to him right now it was actually interesting to mull over.

"But do not risk your life simply trying to get the information. I would rather you escape with no information than die after having found something. We're walking a fine line right now. I don't know what will happen if you get captured, and I don't want to know." He couldn't help but chuckle for a moment.

"You make it sound like you care about me~" A small comment but he found it amusing to think that she might actually care.

"I know trying to get more and getting caught worked out for you last time, but I wouldn't expect that to work out again." Another chuckle before he nodded.

"I know... Torture and the rest of it would probably come then eventually death, but eh it happens." He may not have sounded like it, but he was taking it seriously, he just knew of the risks he'd be taking. After this however she stood up.

"Is everything clear? I can't stress how important this is." It was now that he stopped smiling, watching her, the body language, and her eyes. She really was concerned and he just took a deep breath before nodding his head.

"I understand... I'll make sure to come home alive then." Slowly he got up. Hands went in to his pockets before he looked to the door.

"Guess I should go and get ready, not that it'll take me long...... Unless you have something else you want to tell me?" Why did he ask that? Why did he have to ask that??? He didn't know but he was just making sure that if she had anything else to say, she said it now before he left. It'd be bad not to mention cruel to leave her with possible excess baggage. She didn't need that.

Ugh... What happened to the non-caring thief... I think... I'm getting soft on people... The only thing he had left to think about as he stood awaiting her go ahead to leave or if she had something more she wanted to tell.

Titania was worried about him. Not so much in a caring sense, she had a tough time developing relationships, but something was bothering her about his responses to her mission details. She was hoping for a little more than a chuckle and simple agreement. Then his question, about her needing to say anything else before he left.

She approached him, a hand on her hip, only a foot away from him. Once again, they were barely apart. She felt back in the cell, ready to take him again.

"I don't know. Maybe. Is there something you would like to say to me?" Her barely concealed body was reminding her of what happened in the cell. She wasn't sure if she was going to be giving him a good-luck present. Depended on what he said next.

The gap was closed between them, though she was stood there with a hand on her hip. There was barely any room for him to do anything without touching her so he kept his hands in his pockets. He wasn't doing that again. Not just yet, even as good as she looked. He'd only end up with a definite want to stay rather than get the job done.

"I don't know. Maybe. Is there something you would like to say to me?" Slowly he lifted a hand to her cheek, after which he planted a quick kiss on her lips before breaking away from her and heading for the door.

"Just that... Wouldn't want to do any more otherwise I wouldn't want to leave... So... Maybe when I get back... Least it's something to look forwards too~ In the mean time when I'm gone? Don't do anything I wouldn't do~ Not that, that leaves many things not to do." A smile as he slowly opened the door and then backed out of it bowing his head before closing the door behind him.

Now he was off to get ready for the assignment he'd been given.

Titania accepted the kiss willingly. She had to resist doing more, but he was going to return. He had to.

"Good luck Wolf. I await your return." He left the room, and she sighed. She was worried. About the mission, about him. But now wasn't the time to worry. She had some other business to take care of. There was a lot of business she had to take care of as queen, and she was glad the meeting didn't drag itself out in its own way.
