A mechanical, flaring, blood-red left eye scanned the terrain of the open area. For once, it could not detect anything, not even a single monster.
He sighed and let his tensed muscles relax. Lately, there was a lot of trouble, well, troubling him lately, and he would have hated to be jumped up on by some other random beast.
Leaning back and gazing at the sky, Ein let his thoughts wander about. Ever since he had even come to Hyrule, he had not many leads on where he could find a remedy for his cursed arm. He lifted it to his vision.
The arm was completely mismatched from his body. It had a tone of quality about it that made it appear as if it were carved out of stone in a maroon red, rocky color, and spiny, jet black fingernails.
His eye turned similar colors a moment ago, but that was only when he activated it. He wasn't even sure if that was part of his illness as well.
Ein sighed. It wouldn't be long before he died. Would it hurt? What would it even be like?
He cringed at the thought that he might even become the demon that swapped limbs with him..

The fairies were noted to his presence the moment he entered the Sacred Grove. The council was going to move to forcibly remove him, and they would have if not for the intervention of Titania herself. She chose to meet the boy herself and determine whether or not he was fit to be roaming around.
Out of the trees, with all the grace of her people, Titania walked out towards Einar, in her full royal regalia, royal crown and scepter. She smiled at him and gave a respectful curtsy.
"Hello, wanderer, and welcome to the Sacred Grove. I am Titania, I am the voice of this forest, and queen of her people. You have startled many of the court by venturing within our lands, for they sense you carry a great burden on your shoulders." Her royal, wiser side was appearing, replacing her normal, spunky, friendlier self. "It is by my hand you are allowed to stay, but I must ask, for what reason have you come?"

Now here was a surprise. Ein knew the forest itself was elegant and ravishing in beauty, but to come across someone who matched it's description was hard to come by. So this was the Sacred Grove he was reading about? Mentally berating himself, he was so lost in his own mopey thoughts that he even forgot where he was going whilst walking in the Faron Woods. This woman.. she spoked being a "queen of her people". She must have been of extremely important personage then.
A feeling of exhausted distraught came over him as he stood and bowed respectfully,
"A.. a pleasure."
When she questioned his motives for being there, he simply looked off towards, not exactly the sky, but not exactly the ground either -more like the outlines of the swaying tree tops.
"My bad.. I must have gotten lost. If I've startled anyone at all, then, well, I guess I'll just leave.."

Titania took notice of his response to her presence. She softly smiled, but her heart was heavy. Faron sent him here, by the will of Farore herself perhaps. She must investigate further.
At the mention of leaving, Titania raised her hand toward him in protest. "I'm afraid that isn't possible. Not yet at least. No one gets lost and winds up in the sacred grove without a reason. Faron has guided you here, for a reason." She approached him and held out her hand, motioning for him to take it. "Come with me. I shall protect you." With her blessing, no harm would come to him here.

"U-um.."
Quite taken aback by the kindness in her expression, Ein ran a hand through his spiny, white hair in a perplexed manner. This person, Titania, she spoke as if she were part of the Sacred Grove herself. The child shrugged to himself and thought simply, why not. He wasn't really advancing on his thought process to healing, and his older sister always said that it was nice to have something to have your mind on when accomplishing something important as a side dish.
"Well, thank you, I guess.. "
Ein reached out instictively when Titania lent him a hand, but quickly gasped as he realized it was his left. The demonic arm was clearly visible, which was one impression he did not like to press on people he just met. Quickly using his right hand, he pulled himself up and hesitantly ambled to the side of Titania.

The fact that he very eagerly switched hands was not lost in the least on Titania. But nonetheless, she accepted the right just as much. They walked through the grove, Titania examining the trees as if they were her fellow fairies. She did like to be the forest's queen, and her love for the trees was well known.
As they approached the entrance of the fairy settlement within the grove, Titania waved her free hand, and the gates opened. "We are here. Please stay close." She released his right hand and began to walk through the settlement, fairies bowing to her and she responding in kind.
"Where is the shaman? I have a young man here in need of assistance. The forest cries out." She was then informed that the shaman was in her hut. Titania turned to Ein and motioned for him to follow. "You will now enter the hut of our shaman. Please be respectful, and speak clearly, her hearing is not what it was once was."

Now Ein was just getting a tad bit weirded out. Who exactly were these people and why exactly did he need their guidance? Moreover, this person - the "shaman" sounded particularly frightening, like in the stories he used to be read in bed. Instictively, Ein gabbed Titania's hand nervously and gulped. He acknowledged her instruction with a small nod and a,
"Okay.."

Titania remained outside of the hut, addressing her people and telling them to not be afraid.
Meanwhile, Ein entered the hut to find an old fairy sitting on a chair looking at a strange brew.
"Hello, traveler" her voice was raspy and sounded old. "I assume her majesty was gentle. She does enjoy her male guests after all. Now then, why does she bring you to me?" She picked up her crooked walking stick and began to stir the mystery blew. It was a deep green color, which was only enhanced by the stirring.

Clearing his throat, remembering Titania's point about her hearing, Ein spoke at first in a frightened whisper, but managed to get out,
"W-well, um, to be honest, Miss, I really have no idea how I got here.. I was wandering around the area of Faron Woods lost in my own thoughts until I simply sat on a stump that was no longer in those woods."
Trying hard not to be distracted by the silvery vapors drifting and wafting in the air, he went on profusely,
"But um, well, Miss Titania said that nobody entered the Sacred Grove without reason, and that I must have needed some kind of assistance.."
Tracing the outline of his lips nervously, Ein wondered exactly what more mysterious advice he could gather from this elderly woman.

The shaman creaked a smile from her wrinkly face and stopped stirring her pot of brew.
"Ah, so Faron has brought you here. No surprise that her Majesty would bring you to me." She slowly stood up out of her and walked over to Einar. As she did that, Ein could probably hear a commotion outside, talking about the welcoming in of this outsider. He could hear Titania's voice along with two others protesting.
"It would appear your presence has created quite a stir." When she got close to him, she lifted her staff. "I will now begin to check your body for any impurities. Please hold still, as this will sting.

Ein pulled a, if possible, even more shocked expression. She was going to scan him? For "impurities"? No matter how you looked at him, the adjective "impure" was shown in every way! That arm.. the scar on his eye.. the white hair.. How it would look under some ultra-vision..
Ein cringed. She also mentioned that it would sting. Now Ein was no coward, but he was a child as well. Just the words "this might sting brang him back to the days where he had to have medicine injected into his bloodstream through an instrument called a "shot".
However, he gulped and suppressed his tensing feelings, clenching his eyes frightenigly.

The shaman's staff began to glow a bright green color. She moved it close to his today, never touching it, with surprisingly steady hands for an old woman. She moved it around his face, which caused a small noise to emit from the staff. She nodded slowly and moved on. The legs appeared to be clean, as did the torso. However, when she reached his left arm, the staff began to emit a screech. It burned the ears of all around, and would no doubt pain Ein physically. She put down the staff, and breathed a deep breath as she found the cause of the issue.
"You carry a great burden, young one. There is nothing I can do for you now, but perhaps with some assistance, there is something that can be done." She walked out of the hut momentarily, leaving Ein alone with her brew.

The shaman concentrated the staff on his arm. He did think it would hurt, but not this much. It was as if a giant, hot, burning coal had replaced the arm, spreading the intense pain and searing heat across his entire body. Far from crying, his teeth clenched and his eyes narrowed painfully as only a small grunt escaped his lips.
Then, just as quickly as the pain began, it faded away. It took so much out of him that in the end, he was actually panting and gasping for breath, for it seemed that the heat had deflated his lungs too..
The shaman left Ein, his thoughts confused and scrambled with pain and confusion. What exactly was going to happen now..?![/justfiy]

Not long afterward, the shaman and Titania moved inside the hut. Titania looked over Ein, who seemed to be out of breath from the pain. She looked to the shaman, concerned.
"It was that bad, elder?"
"Yes, your majesty, the boy appears to have a dreadful cursed placed upon him. A demon refuses to let go of his grip on this poor boy."
Titania knelt down, at eye level with Ein. "How do you feel?" She looked at the shaman, concerned. "How do we separate the two?"
"I need time."

Ein finally caught his breath, but he realized that he was drenched in sweat. His left arm was vibrating and twitching slightly, as if it just came out of a very feverish tickling. His body was still very hot, but he managed a simple,
"I'm alright.."
( Gah short )

Titania knew that he wasn't really alright. He looked like he'd been through a nightmare and according to the shaman he had a curse on his body.
Their was a piercing silence before it was broken by the shaman. "The boy needs rest. There is nothing we can do for him now. Talk to the court, I will research this particular brand of curse."
"Very well, elder. I leave him in your hands."
Titania walked out of the hut, and almost immediately the bickering started up again. She quieted it down almost immediately and walked away.
Ein was left in the hut with the shaman. She looked down at him with a frown on her face. "Get some sleep, child. These next few days will not be easy for you." She pulled down some blankets and a thin mattress from her shelf and set them up for him in a corner for him before leaving the hut herself, leaving Ein alone to dwell on what will happen to him.
