Adventures in Comfort (Finn)

Titania stood up as he did. He, strangely, seemed to be blaming himself more than her, though it was entirely her fault. She's the one who prompted it after all. She kept her body off of his this time as she addressed him, cooling down her fun for now.

"No need to apologize Finn, you did nothing wrong. However, if you want to make it up to me, answer one question. Have you ever known the feel of a woman, her soft lips pressed against your own?" Sure the question might make him uncomfortable, but she wanted to know exactly why he was frightened. It could be a simple case of Caligynephobia or he could have a bad bad experience that causes it.

There was nothing that directly caused his fear; at least, not that he could recall. And it wasn't that he wasn't attracted to women or anything; it wasn't really fear, either. He was just really, really nervous around women. From the moment he was born, the only female he spent time around was his mother. His albinism kept him indoors, and after that dude made him all green, he pretty much went straight to the military. He didn't have any experience with women whatsoever.

How depressing.

The question made him want to hide his face in his hands once again, but he struggled to maintain whatever semblance of composure he thought he had; even though his face was practically on fire, he kept his head up and his arms stiffly at his sides. Before now, he had never so much as (voluntarily) come within a five-foot radius of a woman, much less kissed one.

Twenty-six years old, and he had never kissed a woman.

"N-no..."

Titania looked down at the ground, shaking her head. "Really? Well, loosen up a little. I don't think that's healthy for a man. At some point you need to know a woman. It does wonders for your confidence, your health, and your overall well-being. I'm going to guess I'm not the first woman to make a pass at you." Although she was probably the most beautiful.

She moved closer to him until they were less a foot apart. "Kiss me." She stood there, hands behind her back, awaiting his rejection of her.

He took a moment to think, shuffling his feet, also looking at the ground. "You... kind of... are," he said, his brow furrowing slightly. He never stayed around a woman long enough to even say hi, let alone hold a conversation. Besides, he didn't think he was all that attractive, and he was just so huge. He probably scared the crap out of most people he passed by, even though he didn't mean to hurt anybody.

Finn's breath came short again as Titania stepped closer to him, and his blinking became rapid; it took all of his willpower not to step back in response, although he did fall back a smidgen. He didn't say anything at first; his automatic response wasn't just no, it was HELL no.

"I... don't think that's such a good id--" he began, but that inner Finn stopped him from finishing the sentence. Idiot! he told himself, Stupid, stupid bear!

The minish took a faltering step forward -- yes, forward -- his stomach doing flips and tumbles as he nibbled on his lower lip, obviously completely unsure of himself. It wasn't that he had never wanted to kiss a woman, he just panicked whenever he was around him.

Maybe passing out and getting healed really did make him more relaxed than he realized.

"You really... want me to?"

Titania had to really stretch her neck to see his face. She wasn't expecting him to take a step forward, she was expecting to have to chase him again. Rather than stay on the ground, she took to the sky so they were at the same height. She looked him dead in the eye. It was do or die for him.

"Kiss me, Finn. Release that stress all in one motion. You're ready for this. Take the chance." She stayed in her spot. She wasn't going to move unless he moved her. This was his only shot. If he turned her down, that would be the end of it.

Well, this was new. He was so used to towering over people that having Titania be at eye level with him almost made him lose his nerve.

Almost.

You're ready for this, she said. Was he really? Maybe he wasn't. Maybe he couldn't do this, and he was going to die without ever having kissed a woman. Which, perhaps, wouldn't be so bad--

Just do it, stupid.

Right.

Nervously the minish tugged on his cover, shuffled his feet again, looked into the fairy's eyes. His blush was spreading again, but he tried to push his anxiety out of his mind, to just finally grow a pair and do it.

His hands clasped behind his back, Finn leaned in close, just centimeters away from this beautiful woman -- he hesitated, took a breath, closed his eyes -- and pressed his lips against hers.

The moment finally arrived. She had her man right where she wanted him. As soon as their lips met, her hands found their way around his neck and she pulled him closer. She wanted this to last. He certainly was doing a disservice to women all over Hyrule keeping himself away from women. While this was nothing new for her, breaking in the men was a gratifying task for her. She simply enjoyed helping men get their bearings in the world of romance.

Eventually it was time for her to break the kiss off. Slowly she removed her lips from his, taking little jabs as she distanced her lips from his. She smiled at him, not removing her hands from his neck. "Now that wasn't so bad wasn't it. You seemed to be enjoying yourself." She giggled, happy he had finally had his moment in the sun.
