Adventures in Comfort (Finn)

The midday sun crept across the sky as Titania jogged through Hyrule Field, behind in her schedule. She liked to be in town by then, but recent events kept her back so she hadn't made it yet. As a result, she was picking up her own pace, not to mention the new outfit felt great for running.

Her wings were retracted, and with the new outfit she was able to hide them completely, giving her the look of an incredibly beautiful human instead of a beautiful fairy. Either way, the point was she always looked fantastic and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Along the way, she had to stop along the road when she saw a sleeping baby bunny along the side of the road. She reached into her outfit and pulled out a leaf of lettuce for the little guy, scooping him into her arms and gave him the lettuce. He awoke and began to munch on a lettuce as Titania couldn't help but squee softly.

'Awkward turtle' wasn't exactly an accurate description of Finn, especially considering that he was an 8'2" green bear. Awkward palm tree? Maybe, since he was just frozen in place in the middle of Hyrule Field, internally freaking out to the absolute maximum.

It was a woman. Not just a woman, either, but a really gorgeous woman. Who was feeding a baby bunny, and looked so absolutely adorable that Finn would have melted if he wasn't going into panic mode.

His breathing became shallow and he desperately tried to inch away without being noticed; maybe it would work. He did blend in with the grass, after all.

But then, giant green bears wearing camouflage covers and shiny dog tags weren't exactly common around these parts.

Feeding the bunny, Titania noticed some shifty movement out of the corner of her eye. It was a bear, a large bear. A green bear? Yes apparently. But he was kind of cute too. Not one to ignore fluffy animals, she began to walk towards the bear, burrowing the bunny in her sleeve so this bear wouldn't get any ideas.

She stood next to the bear, and frowned a little. Damn was she small compared to this behemoth. He was almost three feet taller, and considerably larger, but it felt like a lot more. Judging by the clothing and the dog tags, he was a minish. A bear minish wasn't a common sight around these parts, but nonetheless she was intrigued.

She scratched the bunny's head and smiled at the bear. "Hi there mr. bear. No you can't have the bunny. He's just so adorable." She turned her attention back to the bunny again. "You are just the cutest thing out there, aren't you?"

Oh great. She noticed him. That was just fantastic. Now he was gonna be all awkward and she was gonna laugh and it would just be an entire party of awkwardness and blargh. He wanted to run away, but he couldn't now that she knew he was there. That'd be so very rude of him, and being rude to ladies just wasn't his style.

He let out a quiet meep when she spoke to him, and his embarrassment caused him to suddenly pop into his human form, beet-red face and all. Finn coughed and shuffled his feet, edging away from the strange, pretty woman as fast as he could without making it look like he was running away. Ohgodohgodohgod he had to get out of here before he ended up making even more an ass of himself than he already was.

"I-I don't want your bunny, miss, beautiful day isn't it? S-so I'll just be on my way okaythanksbye."

Aww he was so awkward. As he started to inch away from her she gave the little bunny another piece of lettuce and placed him gently in a patch of tall grass for some safety. She had her quick replenish of cute and ran after the bear. He was a fluffy bear, and a really big guy. Very official-looking, he might have some power. She liked men with power.

Running after him, she jump-tackled him and latched onto his back lovingly. "And just where do you think you're going? I haven't gotten your name, or anything else from you. Don't tell me you're afraid?" She laughed with an air of cuteness in her voice. She could play with him a little. Given his awkward behavior, she doubted it would amount to much, but with men you could never tell.

Finn honestly thought he was going to die of mortification. The woman glomped him, and clung to him. He could swear she was getting off on his embarrassment, but he was too focused on getting away to really care all that much. If he thought it would get him out, he'd QQ and be on his way; however, he got the feeling that this woman wasn't one to give up, and if he started bawling, she'd probably latch onto him even more.

Just his luck.

Finn took a deep breath so that he'd stop turning various shades of purple (and receded to a vibrant scarlet color instead), and awkwardly attempted walking away with the woman still on his back. It was times like these that he hated being so damn tall; even in human form he was 6'5", practically a giant amongst the normal people of Hyrule.

Okay. She wanted his name? He'd give her his name, then maybe she would go away.

"F-Finn Rider, miss, and now I'll just be on my way..."

He was everything she sometimes looked for. He was obviously nervous around her, probably around women in general. She knew he wanted to just go away, which is why she would stay.

She reoriented herself so she was now receiving a piggyback ride from the man-bear. "Well hiya Finn, I'm Titania. It is wonderful to meet you. Now, where are we headed? I do love an adventure." Her voice began to change from sweet to more seductive, which he was probably not prepared for. "Especially when I know a big physical man will protect me. You will protect a frail innocent girl like me right?" Normally she didn't manipulate emotions to get what she wanted. But when it came to watching men squirm when faced with a beautiful woman, Titania simply couldn't resist. She wouldn't hurt him, or force him to buy things for her, that was just mean. But she knew he needed to learn his way around a lady.

Okay. Now his face was probably going to be stained bright red for the rest of his life, judging by the way this woman was making him blush. At first he resisted the urge to hide his face in his hands, but when Titania adjusted herself so that she was riding him, he didn't just facepalm.

He double-facepalmed.

"Nice to meet you... too..." he mumbled, embarrassed beyond belief. And his jumpy, awkward gait toward Castle Town only became more erratic as the woman's tone changed, and he honestly thought that he was about to burst into tears.

Yeah. Big tough man, sure.

"I-I can't say I'm very good at that, Miss T-Titania..."

Titania wanted to hold it all back, but she couldn't help it one bit. Suddenly she just burst out laughing. He was so embarrassed she couldn't hold it in anymore. When she had finally calmed down she felt the need to explain herself to him. Her tone cooled down and became much more lighthearted.

"Don't be alarmed or scared, I'm just messing with you. You look so uncomfortable in the presence of a beautiful woman that I had to give you a hard time. I don't need you to protect me." Part of her was tempted to be an incredible floozy in front of him, but right now he needed to calm down, especially if he was to be conscious for all the things she had in mind.

"So tell me Finn, how would you like to accompany me for the time being? Not that you get a choice of course, but I just want to know what you think of the idea."

His embarrassment? Yeah. Take that, multiply it by ten, and turn it into confusion. That was about how the poor flustered man felt right about then. He definitely needed to get used to being around women, but at the same time, he wasn't sure he wanted to. It was just so hard, especially when they teased him like this strange woman did. Finn just wanted to flail and run away.

"Um..." He wasn't quite sure what to say to her sudden change in attitude, and the fact that she had just been messing with him when she said she needed protection before just flew right over his head. So she wanted his help, but she didn't need his protection? It was all so confusing, and while his blush had calmed down a bit, his brain was starting to hurt from the effort of trying to understand it all.

Not to mention that her being on his back wasn't helping. At all.

Okay. He didn't want to be rude, so he wouldn't outright tell her that he didn't want to go in the slightest. So...

"Um, if you could, er, maybe get... off... me... please...?"

Titania never thought she would hear that one. She couldn't remember the last time someone told her to get off. On she was used to, off not so much.

"Off? okay." She promptly hopped off and stood in front of him, looking up. He was quite taller, at least a foot taller than her. Smiling, she looked him over once, content with his physique. "So? What are we doing today? Run through Faron Woods? Gallivanting in Hyrule Castle Town Square? Romantic picnic by Lake Hylia? It's your call Finn." She was not going to let him leave if he tried. Granted he could walk away, or try to avoid her, but leaving was not an option. Titania had her mind set on something, and that wasn't changing anytime soon.

Finn's cheeks flared up again, his mind sticking on that one word: romantic. He was relieved that she finally got off his back, yes, but with her just standing there... Well, she was short (but then, everyone was short to him), and she was undeniably beautiful (at least, he thought so; he wasn't an expert on such things), and she seemed... well, sweet, if a bit wacky. So what's the problem? he asked himself, mentally beating himself over the head. Stupid bear, getting all worked up. Calm down, idiot. She's not gonna kill you. She's just a girl.

Oh god, a girl. He was in the presence of a girl. A female.

Finn did the only thing he could do, really.

Titania giggled as he began to blush, and then ran away. The good ones always did. It showed they were nice, respectful. You take a step forward, they take a step back. The jerks were the ones that would have responded to her advances more with a more forward attitude.

She didn't expect him to look up to find her so she took immediately to the sky, following him at a distance, like an eagle stalking its prey. I'm coming for you my sweet little bear[/i] she thought to herself. He was making this so much fun for her, and she couldn't be happier about it.

His long, easy stride became slightly jumpy as he spared a moment to glance behind him; to his discomfort, the woman was nowhere to be seen. After considering the situation for a bit, though, he realized that not seeing her was better than seeing her; it meant she wasn't coming after him, right? Right. He could relax.

Finn slowed to his normal walking pace, which was still rather quick; his time in the military had the regulations ingrained into his mind, and he instinctively kept his back straight, his head up, and his arms relaxed at his sides. A small smile bounced to his lips, though, as the bear minish was considerably more comfortable now that Miss Titania was out of the picture. Women just made him so anxious, he really couldn't handle it. He supposed he'd have to get over that at some point, but... well, that involved spending time with women, and he couldn't do that. He just couldn't.

Ah, well~ Now he could go into Castle Town, get his business over with, and head back into Faron Woods. He liked it there. It was peaceful, quiet, and completely devoid of women.

Titania continued to stalk her prey, waiting until he slowed then positioning herself right above him. She giggled softly to herself. He would freak out if this went well.

Suddenly, she descended from the sky. Divebombing towards the ground, she swooped right in front of him, timing it perfectly. She then turned and swooped and landed a few feet from him.

She stood there, smirking with a hand on her hip, as if posing for a painting. "You didn't think you could run from me do you? I'm not that easy to run from. If you haven't noticed, I can fly. You should look up next time you try and run from me. And you will try and run again, I know your type. You're the best kind of men to have around." She winked at him, not moving from her spot in the path. She would have him, or break him. She was determined to see this one through.

Finn yelped and fell back when Titania came barreling down from the sky; he landed straight on his ass, and his expression was one of sheer confusion and 'my life is over'. This was it, he supposed. He was really going to die of embarrassment. Finn had never heard of that before, but there was a first time for everything. At least he'd be remembered... maybe.

He gave a soft groan of defeat and allowed himself to fall back completely, his arms splayed and eyes sliding shut. "Are you trying to kill me?" he mumbled, mostly to himself. Then, a bit louder, he asked, "... W-what d'you want, Miss Titania?"

Titania walked over to the fallen bear. She had never felled a bear before, this was an accomplishment. She thought to charm, get him to be more compliant. But that would be too easy, and unfair to him. Instead she calmly sat down on his stomach, smiling profusely.

"In this world, Mr. Finn, there are a great number of things that I want. A man to hold be, exquisite food to eat. Someone to indulge in the finer things in life with. I'm a fancy girl, but by no means expensive. I don't need men showering me with gifts all the time, the best gift is to be there when needed. When it comes to you, on the other hand, you are simply fun. You get nervous in the presence of a beautiful woman, especially one as friendly as I. Seeing you squirm and blush and nearly die from shock is all too much fun for me. Honestly your awkwardness is what keeps me coming back." She leaned forward so that her face was nearly inches from his. Knowing him, his whole body would turn red and he would shiver like the temperature just plummeted. "You're my favorite kind of man. The one that's a challenge."

He thought, just for a moment, that maybe she had given up and flown away or something. But as a sudden weight pressed down on his stomach and his eyes slowly crept open, he realized just how wrong that thought was.

It took a moment this time. He didn't register what was happening at first; it was kind of like being stabbed, in a way. It comes so quick that you don't really feel the pain. Once you realize exactly what the situation was, though... you either went into shock or you struggled onward. There was no middle ground.

Finn? He went into shock.

His face was so hot that he thought steam was going to come out of his ears or something. He squeezed his eyes shut so he wouldn't have to look at the woman on top of him, but that only made it worse; he kept seeing her, over and over and over again. His breath came short and he twitched as he considered squirming out of there and just running again, but he didn't want to hurt the woman. Getting up from under her would most certainly hurt her.

His mind went completely haywire as she leaned close, his thoughts running this way and that as he tried to form a comprehensive sentence. "I-I'm not... I don't... I n-never..." he mumbled, slowly opening his eyes once again to try to plead with her with his expression or mind or something.

But when Finn saw her beautiful face so close to his, there was only one thing he could do.

He fainted.

Titania was positively glowing, up until the point that he fainted. Well that didn't go exactly as planned. She pondered what to do next. On one hand, she did have rope with her. But that might be more trouble than it's worth. She could always leave him alone, but with him having fainted he was vulnerable to looters. She decided to stick around and make sure he recovered. She charged some white magic and placed her hand upon his head, just assuring he didn't suffer any pain on her behalf.

She moved off of his chest. She couldn't help but feel bad. She just wanted him to be uncomfortable, not unconscious. She sat behind his head, a few feet back and waited. Everything had seemed to go wrong in a flash.

The warm glow from Titania's white magic certainly caused him to relax while unconscious, after which it took hardly a minute for him to wake up. He didn't move at first, though; although his eyes opened, he was much too mortified to get up. This was even worse than the fairy woman embarrassing him; this was him embarrassing him, and making a total ass of himself. Part of Finn knew that she was just playing around (only from what she had said, but he hadn't consciously registered that), and that it really wasn't her fault; he was just an awkward, stupid bear.

He knew she was still there. It would be idiotic of him to assume that she had left; even though he had only known her for a short, short time, he had a feel for what kind of person she was... at least, he hoped he did. But he knew she was there, even though he couldn't see her.

Finn pulled himself up into a sitting position, pulling his knees close to his chest and hugging them tightly. Stupid bear, he told himself, his furious blush not calming down one bit. You should at least apologize for being such an ass.

"S-sorry I made such an ass of myself," he said quietly, finally gathering the nerve to stand and face Titania. "I can... make it up to you... if you want..."
