Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright It didn't take long for the night's silent veil to cloak over the vast fields of Hyrule. The soft chirps of crickets could be heard every now and then, and a gentle whimsical wind brushed through the grass just to greet the earth good evening. As the activities of the night proceeded on, Aether and Seyka found a nice spot for a fire, and settled on traveling when daylight arises. The petite little kitty was placed down, nestling against her carry on bag, and watched the silver haired Hylian start a camp fire. A soft smile graced her lips taking a liking that it seemed rather knowledgeable when it came to living outdoors. To the little kitty, she felt safe being in his presence~
Her kitty cat ears perked up when she noticed his back was turned to her. Her head tilted slightly to the side pondering what it was that he was hiding. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she lifted herself up off of her bag, and poked her nose over Aether's shoulder. However the second she did so, she regretted it instantly, as her sharp sense of smell became her downfall at the moment. A stinging repulsive scent entered her nose, and she fell back gagging for a moment attempting to filter out the awful stench that washed over her already feverish state. "Gack!" she whined over dramatically. "Nyaaaaaao.... ugh!"
Sey Sey keeled over holding onto her stomach clinging for dear life that she didn't vomit her insides out. For the love of Nayru, what in the goddesses' golden name was Aether doing with a reekfish?! There was a reason the Zoras called it that, it stinks! A dizzy spell washed over the poor kitty girl. If the fever she had wasn't enough to make her ill, then the fish's scent was going to drive her crazy. "What the heck are you going to do with that?" she whined pathetically.

Aether, as requested, had set up camp and gotten everything going, making sure that Seyka would be alright and unharmed. During that time, he had gone and caught a reekfish for her. He figured that while he had other uses for it, that maybe the scent of the fish would at least be pleasant for her, that she would like it, being a cat and all. But rather, her reaction was different when it came back, almost as if it made things worse. He could practically hear her gag as the stench really got to her. Revenge! To be honest, Aether was not expecting her to react like that to the reekfish. Didn't cats normally like fish? Maybe the reekfish just had such an awful odor that even kitties ended up despising it. But, if she was acting like that over it, then he wouldn't really push the whole thing as one, it was adorable, completely and utterly adorable. And two, it could be seen as payback for getting him all worked up earlier, considering that she didn't seem to like it. Though that in itself still surprised him. Aether himself though had taken a simple precaution before catching the fish; namely, he covered his nose. If Seyka were to look, she would see a clothespin clamped down on his nose, keeping the horrible stench from invading him and possibly causing the same reaction that the fish was eliciting from the kitty. Though his plan was simple; he'd make her a soup, reekfish was good for that at least, and hopefully the stuff would strengthen said soup, and give Seyka some more strength to fight off the bug. "It's dinner." He stated in a rather confused, yet matter of fact manner.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright That was an oxymoron. How the heck can you sound matter of fact, and confused at the same time?
... that wasn't the point, but alas, we're digressing again! A small pout formed upon her lips as she noticed right away the clothespin clamped onto his nose. Cheater! Though it started to come together in the little kitty's head as to what he intended to do with the fish. Don't get the Sey Sey wrong, she absolutely loves fish, it was like the best delicacy that ever came into existence in Hyrule... but reekfish just smelled awful.
In all of her lifetime, she's tried as many variety of fish that Hyrule provided. Unfortunately, she couldn't stomach eating raw reekfish for the smell itself makes her lose her appetite rather quickly. The minish cat was aware though that it did have medicinal properties as well, and that it helped those weakened by illness.
"Umm..." she murmured softly before closing her nose as well. She turned her back towards Aether for a second to begin digging through her bag. In a rather comical fashion, things came flying out of her bag in random sorted variety. A random empty bottle, a hairbrush, a toy mouse, etc~ This continued for a few more seconds before the kitty finally found what she was hunting through her rucksack for: an Ordon Pumpkin, and Ordon Goat's Cheese! Returning her attention back over to the Hylian, she smiled softly before sliding the extra ingredients on over to him.
"I don't know about you, but if you're going to cook, this'll help cover the smell," she explained why she brought them out, "Plus, it'll help strengthen the broth if it's soup you intend to make~"
Her tail wagged back, and forth in a soft, slow rhythm. A night out with some company, underneath the stars, and a yummy yet healthy dinner? What's not to like~

He was surprised she had all of that. Holding the reekfish, Aether kept having to bob and weave around the projectiles that flew in his direction. It kind of baffled him how she was able to fit everything thing into one bag. Was it magical? He ducked again as a bottle sailed over his head, causing for a rather close call. He didn't want one to break on his face and cut him all up, that would be completely awful! Not to mention that Seyka would probably feel bad if something like that happened, which he just didn't want happening. But then he noticed just what she was digging around for, and then everything started to make sense. She had figured he was going to make a soup, and provided some ingredients to make the soup less bland. This was good. He was making the soup for medicinal reasons, and while he might eat some too, he didn't really like bland soup. Plus the ingredients would, like Seyka said, strengthen the broth. So at least he could enjoy some if there was some left over. Seyka came first right now. So if she needed to take up the whole thing, then she was more than welcome to if it helped her get better. Aether only nodded as he pulled out his switch blade. Sitting down, he started to do something that would really reek. If Seyka couldn't stand the stench of the reekfish in and of itself, then she would hate this. The knife dug into the fish as he started to gut and debone it, making sure to get rid of all the scales, getting all the bones out so the soup would get nothing but meat. Seyka was sick, she didn't need any fish bones or scales to aggravate her.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright He didn't give her a verbal reply, but she could tell that it brought some joy to the silver haired when she mentioned the properties the other ingredients had in order to make tonight's dinner. She was actually rather excited now! In the back of her head, she was lost in light fluffy clouds, with sparkling light tones, and floating away in a sea of happy goodness. Too bad it didn't last long.
The second her heard the blade dig into the fish, she knew she was going to back on the grass clinging onto her stomach, and curling up in a fetal position. Her magenta eyes quickly looked away from Aether's direction. Although her vision was completely impaired from the sight of the Hylian processing the fish so that it they cooked the meat, she still couldn't get the gruesome sounds of the knife going through the fish, removing guts, scales, and bone. Not to mention the smell worsen tenfold.
Throughout the process the poor kitty whined, mewed, and whimpered pathetically. Dizzy spell after dizzy spell hit her one after the other in an over dramatic fashion. If this was an anime, Seyka would be laying flat on her stomach with her chin embedded into the grass, and her eyes would be all swirly shaped.
Like this: @_@
"You... certainly know how to process fish, huh?" she said meekly. Then again, she had to remember that he came from the Ocean Province. He mentioned before - in a rather fearful fashion - that he wasn't a pirate. He had a pretty good level of fishermen expertise. What did he do for a living out by the sea? Seyka has always wanted to know that, but he got rather quiet about it on their travels. The poor dear didn't want to push anything less she wanted to upset him, and that was the last thing on her mind she'd ever want to do.

Aether couldn't help but snicker slightly at the kitty's reaction throughout the entire thing. Reekfish smelled bad, he knew that. He couldn't imagine how bad it smelled when it was being gutted, and he didn't want to take the time to find out how it would smell while it was being gutted. But, he was at least able to obtain an idea from the kitty and her dizzy spells, and her practically passing out on the grass. He wouldn't lie, it made his heart melt. It was just one of those things that ended up being so completely adorable that you felt bad for gushing about it, even on the inside. However, now he had what he needed. Filling a bowl with water, he placed it over the the campfire and waited it to heat up. He wasn't really all that sure how to cook this soup though. From what he heard however, it wasn't too difficult, so much as it sounded like "shove everything in at once and stir". If that was really it, then he knew he didn't have anything to worry about, and soon Seyka would have some nutritious and delicious soup. Reekfish might have smelled bad, but the stuff was considered a delicacy throughout Hyrule. The hylian nodded again at her words. "I live right by the ocean, so a lot of my diet consists of nothing but fish. Reekfish is considered valuable, due to it only coming from one specific location, so a lot of people in Oceania consider it a delicacy." Aether confirmed her thoughts. However, he didn't always have his fish cooked. Every now and then he'd give sushi a whirl, and he didn't mind it much. It definitely helped get him away from day after day of nothing but bass.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Sey Sey's kitty ears perked up picking up the snickers escaping Aether's mouth. Her magenta eyes shot heated daggers his way, but the look she gave him wasn't any bit intimidating. The little kitty cat girl was anything, but intimidating. Her glare was nothing more than a baby kitten hissing at something it doesn't like. Seyka pouted softly. There was obviously something funny with the way she was behaving that he seemed to be getting a kick out of. Sey Sey is not amused.
Her little tantrum didn't last for long. Sitting up in a proper sitting position, she listened to his story, and it confirmed her assumptions right away. Still, it must have been romantic to live by the sea. By this time, the reekfish's scent began to diminish, and her nose began to filter out the stink. She watched as the bowl filled with water began to bubble up from sitting on top of the fire for a bit. The dizzy spells began to wear off, and the bubbly kitty was bouncing like a giddy little girl~ Unfortunately, she caught herself this time exerting too much energy, finding it rather difficult to sit still.
That was another downer on being sick, your every day motions are put on pause for a while, and it'll take a while to get back into gear. With one of her sleeves, she dabbed a little portion of her sleeve onto her forehead, wiping off the sweat that formed from her excitement. Her fever was fickle, moving through her like waves, weak at one point then the next thing you know, she's burning up. Her cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink as she took in a deep breath, then exhaled it out. She was grateful it was remotely nice outside tonight. Her eyes looked up for a moment to take a look at the stars as a smile formed upon her lips.
"Say Aether, what brought you all the way out here to the mainlands?" she asked innocently. A wayward seaman away from the sea was a most certainly curious thing, and it was bound to come up eventually~

As the water came to a boil, Aether decided that it was time to get everything going. One by one, he added in all the ingredients within a few seconds of each other. That was how he figured it worked. Just throw everything in, wait for it to cook, and then eat the result. He only hoped that he didn't screw it up and that she got a good meal. The kitty would need the nutrients in order to fight her illness. Plus she needed something good in her stomach, he didn't want her to starve after all! Though she did bring up a good question. If life by the ocean seemed so wonderful, why come all the way up to the mainland? Aether smiled softly. She wasn't asking awkward questions, and he didn't want her thinking that she was crossing any lines that she shouldn't have been crossing. "I came up here because I needed a vacation. Life by the sea can be nice, but I like to go elsewhere every now and then, so I came up here." Aether explained in a rather gentle manner. Overall though, the vacation was turning out rather nicely. He didn't mind having to care for the sickened Sey Sey. He had met someone new after all, and it was someone that was easily a wonderful person. She wasn't like any of the pirates, or a lot of people at sea, or even in Hyrule itself. With the sea, it was survival of the fittest. In Hyrule, the hylians were still a little snobbish. Seyka though was the exact opposite, and that helped make her even more endearing. All in all, he was actually enjoying this. He wondered if Seyka was enjoying his company as well.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright The kitty just watched as one after the other, Aether placed the ingredients together in the bowl, noticing a quick change in colors in the liquids. First when the fish was tossed in, the juice that exerted from the meat turned it a light red color. Not exactly the most appetizing thing she saw, but it was quickly covered up when the pumpkin was put into the steaming stew. It gave it a thick pale orange shade, and the odor was starting to become far more pleasant to take in. Last but not least, the goat's cheese was put in for extra flavoring so it didn't taste bland. All it required now was a good stir or two, and dinner would be served~
The small blush upon her cheeks intensified when she thought about the whole concept of the hylian cooking for her. Seyka was no different than any other girl, and adored a man who can cook, especially when he was cooking for a certain lady~ It took every bit of will power in her sick state not to squee out of the blue. That would have been a big box of awkward right there, and she wouldn't be able to explain her impulses to Aether.
Seyka diverted her attention back over to him as he explained his trip to the mainlands. He had the heart of a traveler, never really staying in one place, just like the kitty cat. A bubbly smile escaped from her lips pleased to hear such an answer, because it made her think how lucky she was. Sey Sey was lucky to have met someone like Aether. "I think it was a good idea that you decided to come up here," she mused, "Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to spend time with you... waitaminute... umm..." She began twiddle with her thumbs. Her eyes avoiding contact with Aether.
"What I mean to say is I really enjoy your company!" she blurted out. The adorable little kitty was too honest for her own good~

Aether blinked at her little slip, a bit surprised at what she had just said. That sounded a bit... romantic, causing a light blush to appear on his face. However, she corrected herself, saying that she enjoyed his company. That made sense, she might have just worded it wrong, causing to to come out with a completely different meaning. Smiling, Aether nodded. "I enjoy your company too, Seyka. It's certainly made this vacation pleasant." He told her. Poor kitty must not have been all that good with words. It was still adorable, either way. Grabbing a bowl, Aether couldn't help but think about that little slip. It would've been nice if it wasn't a slip, as he found it sweet. Regardless, it was a slip and he really shouldn't have been focusing on it. He brought it over to the soup, grabbing a ladel as he filled the bowl with broth. He hoped this would help with Seyka's sickness, or at least make her less miserable for a little bit of time. The more relaxed and rested she was, the better her recovery would go, he knew that much. However, he would get the full answer of what she needed hopefully tomorrow, when he got her to a doctor. Aether handed the bowl to Seyka, but neglected to get one for himself. He could go a night without food, and Seyka needed to eat. If she needed to take the entirety of the soup, she was more than welcome to.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Did she really mean it that way? Of course! How else could she word it any differently? No matter how much her thoughts were convinced that was exactly how she meant it, her heart was saying otherwise that it wasn't true. Her heart was torn between the meaning behind the intent of her words. Seyka could only stare at Aether as he gave her his reply to her earnest sincerity, but a pang of guilt washed over her lithe little frame. Something inside... be it her instincts, her heart, or her mind... yearned for an understanding that was apparently eluding the kitty as to how to clear up her feelings between her thoughts. It left the kitty cat girl twiddling her thumbs in the end~
"Mrow?" she meowed. Her magenta eyes perked up watching Aether scoop up a bowl of soup for the kitty. She gave him a bit of an owlish stare before realizing the reason behind all of the cooking again. The thick steam that came out as she watched the hot concoction be placed in a bowl, and then served over to Sey Sey. The poor girl looked down at her soup for a moment but simply placed it in her lap, allowing the hot drink of sorts to cool down a bit before she downed it. She didn't want to burn her tongue in the process of gaining her strength back. "Thank you, Aether," she said sweetly.
Raising up her bowl, she took in a deep breath before blowing the steam away in an attempt to cool it down faster. With a free hand, she picked up a spoon, before gathering a spoon full of soup, and taking her first bite. She winced a little feeling a bit of the burn still stinging her tongue, but it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. With a soft swallow, she allowed it to go down easy before taking a deep breath. "It's really good," she exclaimed jubilantly.
Though something was a miss. Magenta eyes flew back over to the silver haired Hylian as she tilted her head slightly to the side. He didn't pick up a bowl for himself? Now that wasn't right. "Aren't you going to eat too, Aether?" she asked with concern. "There's no way I could finish the whole pot on my own."
There was plenty for both of them~

The hylian smiled as she complimented his cooking. That was good, at least she wouldn't be suffering throughout the ordeal. He was worried as to whether he did it right, and it in a way, relieved him to know that he did at least get the recipe right. Well, as long as she was being sincere of course. There was always the chance that she could've just been saying it was good in order to keep his confidence up. Such a thing was unnecessary. If she didn't like it, then she needed to say so. Granted, he wanted her to eat it, but at least he would know better in the future. Aether smiled softly at Seyka when she posed her question. She was still concerned about him, she didn't have to be. He would live through the night if he didn't have anything to eat. Right now, Seyka was his top priority. Aether shook his head, letting her know he wasn't going to have anything just yet. "Take as much as you want. I'll eat when you're done. We need to focus on getting you well, that's our top priority." He reached out and ran a hand through her lavender locks. He didn't want her arguing on this, she needed to worry about her own well being for now. And then Aether's stomach growled. Immediately, he went silent... and then another growl. Ok, so maybe he was getting hungry, but he still had to keep all he could for Seyka! He gave her a sheepish look, embarrassed that he had made such an offer only for his stomach to disagree in its own obnoxious manner. Aether brought his hand up and scratched the back of his head. "Er... you didn't hear that." He tried lying his way out of this situation. But it was fairly clear that he was doing a bad job of it. Oh, he hoped that Seyka wouldn't use this to make him eat, not until she was done at least.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Even if Seyka lied to him just to make him feel better, it wouldn't have been that easy for her to fool him. In fact, she was quite a terrible liar. She would have made a face that screamed it was terrible that even those with the thickest heads could figure out she didn't like whatever was cooked. So it was a good thing that she actually enjoyed the soup, and assured Aether that she was willing to eat it. She even took another spoon full to relish in the strong yet soothing taste. It also helped bring some relief to the kitty that not only was it good in taste, but it was also helping her health. It was like killing two birds with one stone~!
Her kitty cat ears drooped when he answered her. Magenta eyes stared back at him with a blank expression painted across her face. He wasn't serious now, was he? It was practically impossible for the poor dear to be thinking about herself when others were involved, especially when it came to taking care of another well-being. Her eyes lit up with concern for him, not liking the idea that he wasn't going to yet (or at least not yet). "But but..." she protested pathetically. She was stopped when he stroked her head as his fingers ran through her hair. That wasn't fair!
"..."
Seyka heard it. Totally heard it. Although Aether argued otherwise that it wasn't a big deal, his body said something otherwise; a clear indicator for the kitty to share dinner with him. She carefully played her bowl down, the spoon laying in her bowl, resting against the edge until she'll return for it momentarily. The cat girl moved fast nabbing an empty bowl, and spoon. Ladling a fresh new bowl of soup for Aether, and another spoon for him she scooted on over to him.
Without even a warning, she sat extremely close to him, not caring if she was breaching the personal space bubble. With one hand handling the bowl, and the other with the eating utensil, she scooped up a spoonful of soup, getting a good bit of meat with the broth. Blowing away the steam softly, Seyka then held up the spoon in front of the hylian's mouth.
"Say... Ahhh~" she half-spoke, half-commanded. He was going to eat~ Sey Sey insisted.

Aether knew he'd regret his stomach growling. It in a way, annoyed him that it had to be his own body that ended up giving him away. Seyka heard it, she wasn't going to just ignore it, and before he knew it, she had grabbed a bowl and held a spoon in front of his mouth, telling him to say "ahhhh". Aether's cheeks flushed, he felt like a child being fed by his mother, he didn't need to be feeling like that! He was trying to help her and keep her safe, the last thing he needed was for the sickly kitty to be trying to take care of him. The hylian placed the tip of his finger to the spoon, his own little way of denying the food, he wouldn't be eating just yet. "Not until you've had your fill. You need to take care of yourself first." He gently reminded her. He loved that she was sweet enough to try and feed him despite her ailment, and it did cause his heart to melt, but he wasn't the sick one here. Maybe if she were feeling better, he'd be more willing to go along with this. But for now, with her being in her current condition, there were more important things to take care of. Grabbing Seyka's bowl, he lifted it up, holding it out to the kitty, as if telling her that she still needed to eat. Another growl from his stomach decided to come forth, causing him to practically glare at his stomach. "Here, you finish this, and if you're still hungry go ahead and take the other bowl too." He held out the bowl she had put down, hoping that she'd take it.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Rawr! Why was he being so stubborn? How troublesome, she grumbled mentally. It meant so much to the cat girl that he was looking out for her, but being selfless tended to lead to some subtle destruction on one's own behalf. Seyka knew this well enough to understand the concept, but accepted that she wasn't going to change her mind. Her eyes glittered with conflict not at all happy that he refused to eat for the sake of the little kitty's health. A small pout escaped her lips not at all liking how he was being argumentive with her. So stubborn!
... wait~ She's got it!
Her kitty cat ears drooped a little as she lowered her head softly staring at the bowl in her hands. Her bottom lip quivering a little. "Aether, I understand that I have to take care of myself, but the same applies to you too," she argued. "If I were you, I would be sharing this meal together with a cute and adorable kitty minish." She gave him a small weak smile. With that said, she tradded dishes, and silverwares between them so that she got her bowl, and spoon back, and Aether got the fresh batch she got for him. If he was going to be stubborn about it then Sey Sey could prove otherwise she was just as determined - if not more - to get him to eat!
"Besides, the food might get cold if you wait too long," she whined, "SO! If you won't eat then I won't either~" That was her ultimatum for the silver haired Hylian. She was plotting ever so coyly to get him to eat by using her own well-being against him. She really would like to see him eat as well, it just wasn't fair for the girl to be eating while he just sat there on an empty stomach. He had his needs too that had to be satiated, one that was so simple, that it shouldn't have taken this much arguing over to just enjoy a meal.

Aether sighed. It wasn't one of frustration or anything. He genuinely wasn't upset with Seyka. "Seyka, please understand. I do plan on eating after you're done, I just want you to take your fill first." If her fill meant emptying the whole thing though, then that was what it took. The idea of taking some food that she could really use to get better away from Seyka caused a pang of guilt to shoot through his chest, but it was clear that she was going to fight this to the bitter end. And she proved it by declaring she wouldn't eat either. Aether froze for a moment, staring at the kitty in complete disbelief. Just how hard was she going to press this? "Seyka... that's not necessary. Please, eat." Aether requested once again, pushing the bowl of soup towards her. He was starting to get worried about just how far this would go. He really didn't want to eat while she was still going. Aether looked at the kitty in the eyes. He knew she was just trying to be charitable, and was trying to be helpful, and generous, but it wasn't necessary. He knew his body. The human, or hylian in his case, body could last a few days without water, and as long as it had water, could last for up to a month. He could definitely make it through the night, so there was no real rush to the whole thing. That wouldn't stop him from trying to get the kitty to actually eat her soup so she could feel better!

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Sey Sey pouted. This was getting them nowhere! It just didn't sit right in her mind to have him just watch her like that. Whilst she adored the attention and the immediate concern for her well-being, but she didn't want him to neglect himself in the process of taking care of the kitty. Was it selfish of a selfless person to ask them to eat together with them? Seyka was earnest, and held good intentions, but if such intents brought complications then was it worth arguing over in the end? Her mind was put in a locked conflict searching for an answer through this.
So the ultimatum didn't really pan out exactly how she wanted it to. Averting her eyes away from Aether, she furrowed her thin brows a little, her tail swishing back, and forth very slowly of the pent up energy.
He was doing this for her. All of this time, he's done nothing but been the most kind hearted man she's had the pleasure of meeting. Was she wrong to refuse him of his request when he wouldn't comply to her own? Seyka shook her head violently. Was it an act of immaturity? The poor kitten was confused. "No way," she mewed. "Not without you."
Her magenta eyes looked back over to Aether. A clear expression that painted loneliness graced upon her features. Twiddling her thumbs a little, she lowered her head a little before confessing how she felt about it. "I don't want to eat dinner by myself," she said, "It's unsettling to me to have a bowl for myself, and not see you take your fill as well. Please Aether, won't you have dinner with me?"

Not without him... That came out so very, very wrong. Aether's cheeks flared at that. That was not only incredibly sweet of her, and generous, but it also sounded a little romantic. He was almost tempted to bring it up, but decided against it. There was no point in teasing her right now, not to mention that she might get mad at him if he did. The way she was pouting back at the pond, he wasn't sure what would happen. He didn't want to get clawed at! Though he doubted she would actually claw him for poking some gentle fun. Though still, his lips twitched at what she had said earlier, but it quickly turned into a frown with what came after. So that was the real reason she wanted him to eat. She just didn't feel comfortable eating all by herself when others watched. Aether felt guilty. He wasn't aware that that was the case. Maybe if he ate just a little, she wouldn't feel so bad. It wouldn't really take away from her, and he'd at least get a little something in his stomach, which was always a plus, right? And that soup really did smell good now that he actually focused on it. Looking down at the bowl that Seyka had filled for him, he picked it up, staring into the broth. He still felt bad for putting her through that. He didn't say a word, rather, he just placed the spoon in the broth and took a sip. In a way, it was him showing silent submission. He didn't really want to make things already more stressful on the kitty than they already were. She was sick, and apparently feeling a little self conscious, so for now, he would just agree and eat the soup she was willing to share.

Whatever gets me through the night Tonight I'd like to say it's gonna be alright Was she asking too much of him? Seyka wasn't a mind reader, but it was quite clear that something was ticking inside that brain of his. As to what made his mind tick was something that eluded the poor cat girl. Was he going to insist on her eating on her own? The poor dear didn't know what she would do if he did... Just what was going on in that head of his?
Her magenta eyes flickered brightly when she watched him pick up the bowl, and eating utensil. A small gasp escaped her lips as her dark kitty cat ears perked up the second her expression lit up. Now she was starting to feel a little embarrassed, her heartbeat pounding incessantly, realizing how silly she must have sounded. Still, Sey Sey couldn't help the way she felt. The poor kitty girl would feel terrible for the rest of the night if she didn't see him eat anytime soon.
Now she only prayed that he didn't think she was being too forceful with wanting to have him eat with her. She can't win with him! She fiddled with her fingers slightly trying to keep calm but the nerves were going everywhere.
Seyka decided that since he finally got around to eating as well, she should continue with what she started earlier, mirroring the same actions he did. Picking up her bowl, and spoon, she eagerly dug into her meal. "Thank you," she squeaked sheepishly. The kitty was happy nyao~

Yes, she had her wish, he was eating with her, just as she had intended, but there was something different about his reaction than hers. Namely, he was finding that his soup was terrible. He was struggling to even eat it, much less keep it down. Seyka must have had an iron stomach, or no sense of taste, or maybe what he made was considered good in the land of Hyrule, and Oceania just had higher standards. Either way, he found his own cooking atrocious, and he wasn't sure just how much longer he could eat it. He visibly gagged for a moment on his own cooking. Unfortunately for him, it was getting to be far too much for him to handle. Aether paused, looking at his bowl for just a moment before setting it down. "I'm sorry but... this is awful." He sheepishly admitted. "I didn't realize I had made such a horrible meal." He continued. At least Seyka wouldn't be thinking it was something she did, but rather, he just simply thought his cooking was terrible. Oh, he hoped that she wouldn't be too upset over this, but he just couldn't stomach his own cooking anymore. He scratched the back of his head. He wasn't hungry anymore. "Maybe I'm just used to the cooking of Oceania... or maybe I'm just a terrible cook." He wondered. That was the thing, he had had reekfish before, and smell aside it was actually quite good. Throughout his life, he had plenty of good food by the ocean, but what he was eating, it was just awful. He was actually curious as to just how the kitty could eat something like this.
