One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She wasn't human. But she wasn't a monster either. So what was she?Nightmare was out for answers. That could have been why he was able to read Barad-Dur as quickly as he did. Being a massive dragon, Nightmare was unnaturally fast when in the air, and arguably had the second fastest way of travel, right behind teleportation. Throughout the night, Nightmare had been flying across Hyrule, his prize and the Twilight Princess safely in his grip. Had anyone seen him? Maybe. But right now he didn't care. He knew for a fact that the Hylian Knights knew to stay out of his business unless it involved them. He was close now. He flew over the mountains that made his land so powerful, so difficult to invade. The Black Lands may have been barren, but it was ultimately one of the strongest areas to run an empire from. There was simply no way an army on the ground could get in without forcing their way through the Black Gate, which in itself was just so difficult. As Nightmare ascended higher into the sky, he looked down. There was little activity, but he was sure some saw him fly in. Finally, at the top of the tower, above even the clouds, Nightmare approached a window. It was too small for the dragon to fit in, and Nightmare never really had any problem with that. He doubted he would have any trouble now with some extra baggage. He wondered if he could at least give Midna a good scare with this though. She was cocky, there was no doubt about that, so maybe this would at least get her to drop the arrogance for a moment. Would be fun~ Reverting to his human form, Nightmare started to plummet. Fortunately, he had some direction, and he seemed to be aiming straight for that window. As for the cargo he had been carrying, they were still there. The Drossling rested snugly in his arm, with Midna being held under the shoulder as he fell into his throne room. He had done this plenty of times before, and each time, it never stopped being fun. The throne room itself was barren. Normally, he had guards, but he really didn't mind them leaving the throne room. His reputation for wandering had already caused most challenges to stop. He started walking towards his throne, a large piece of work, beautifully crafted. Darkly colored, yet encrusted in jewels as a red carpet stretched from the throne all the way to the door. The Drossling hopped out of Nightmare's arm and started waddling behind the Emperor. Midna though? Nightmare wasn't going to let her go. "You have so much explaining to do it's not funny." He grumbled, his steps on the floor audible in the room. He wasn't sure what Midna knew now. Perhaps she was hiding from him. At this point though she would at least know who he was.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company The nerve of that man! Midna was anything but non-resistant, and calm throughout the trip. As soon as the dragon swooped up from the sky, and took her from where she stood, she struggled for the most part trying to get his massive claws off of her. By halfway through the trip, she calmed down finding it futile, and contemplated logically that if he did let her go in midair, she would have taken a heap of damage from the sun before she could manage to put up her shadow veil. So for the most part, she was stuck in his grasp until he decided to let her go. It didn't mean she was any less abrasive towards the dragon during the duration of the flight, but her hostility turned more or less verbal, spatting venom, and curses at the dragon. Oh~ How she wanted to wring his neck, and give him a slow, and painful death - pluck each and every single one of his scales one by one until he was nothing more but bleeding flesh, and bone.
Irritated couldn't even begin to describe the emotions seething inside of the Twilight Princess. What he pulled back there after the fight against the Drosslord was simply outrageous! Wasn't there a universal law against these kinds of crimes? What kind of justice system is the Light Realm running now these days! Monster Emperor or not, you don't go around kidnapping people, including those of foreign sovereignty~ Not to mention this was beyond cliche. Come on! Monster Emperor kidnapping a princess? Not just any princess either, but the Twilight Princess at that. Midna is certainly not the damsel in distress type; it simply just doesn't fit her. In fact, it would be beneath her to fall for such a trivial little role for the femmes of fairytale.
Unfortunately, this wasn't any classic fairytale playing out. Nope. Reality tended to be a *****~ Nightmare's mode of transportation was time consuming so it didn't take her long to begin getting bored, and waited bitterly until they've reached the apparent destination. The drastic change in scenery wouldn't go unchecked, and in some kind of demented interest, gave the twilit woman some comfort of sorts. Nice, and dark, but could use less brimstone, and doomy atmosphere otherwise it gave her an idea to what kind of living arrangements Nightmare went by. While it did wake her up from the boredom of the sluggish trip, it still didn't sway her feelings of resentment against Nightmare for his audacity.
As they reached for the tall tower hastily approaching, her carmine eyes flickered noticing the small window, and quickly got the idea of what he was planning to do. Seriously? He was going to try to fit his big-ass self through that window with baggage in his hands? Midna knew better that he was trying to entice her somehow, but it would take more than a cheap trick like this to startle her. Her instincts prevailed as he shifted his form in midair, and began to descend towards the window until landing safely within the confines of his tower, to be precise the throne room. Mine is prettier, she digressed mentally.
"First of all, this is kidnapping on the highest level," she chided, "Second, what nonsense are you babbling about? I don't owe you anything~ Last, but not least, treating me like livestock won't get you jack from me. Unhand me this instant!"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie He knew she would immediately start fighting this. Which honestly, didn't really surprise him all that much. He was quiet for the most part, not responding just yet. Once he made it to his throne, he didn't drop Midna, instead gently setting her on the ground. She could be mad all she wanted, he had no intention of really hurting her. He just wanted some answers as to what was going on. Maybe in a way, he wanted to help. As he sat down, the Drossling squawked a little before hopping up into Nightmare's lap. He honestly found it difficult to believe that this cute little thing had actually come from something like the Drosslord. After it hopped up, it just quieted down, as if realizing its master had business to attend to, not wanting to be a bother. Nightmare felt it was time to respond. "And?" Was his response to the accusations of kidnapping. It really didn't matter. She wasn't a Hylian, so there really wouldn't be a manhunt to get her back. Not to mention he had reason to believe she was trying to stay away. She had been acting somewhat stealthy when he had seen her, so perhaps people didn't even know she existed. If that was the case, then she couldn't play the card that people would come looking for her. As for her second thing, he just responded with a very simple "You do." He wasn't going to explain further. Lazily resting his head in his hand as he gently petted the Drossling, he just looked at her. "At which point did I treat you like cattle? Was it giving you the ride most people would kill for? Or sneaking you past all the Ainur that would love to have you for dinner?" Nightmare dryly remarked. He looked down at the Drossling. It was a surprisingly cute little critter. It just curled up in his lap and seemed to be sleeping. Or at least the closest thing a little mechanical creature could get to sleeping. However, he wouldn't let it distract him from what he wanted. "First off. What are you? You're not Hylian, Ainur, or any other race that I've seen. So what are you? I think it's a fair question. You know what I am." Nightmare asked Midna, also referring to the fact she knew he was a dragon. She was something completely different from everything else, so what could she have been?

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company As soon as she was placed back on her own two feet, almost instantly, she went to work on removing the wrinkles her robes. Her headdress was off slightly which she quickly fixed with some minor adjustments. Midna appreciated the fact that he didn't just drop her onto the ground, but it still didn't sweeten the sour that was stuck on her tongue of his prior actions.
Even upon the red carpet the surface of the ground was still as hard beneath her bare feet. Nightmare hasn't given her any reason to begin trusting him as a whole, but at the same time he hasn't gone off the deep end, and severe any chances of her ever trusting him. What was he out to get exactly? Her crimson eyes stared at the humanoid dragon as he made his way on over to his throne.
She noticed the Drossling faithfully staying by Nightmare's side. Reminding her of what choices he made that made her mind waver slightly in regards to confiding in the Emperor. He was respectable in the sense that he wasn't all about senseless killing, and if anything else, showed he had some redeeming qualities underneath that jackass demeanor of his. However his response towards her accusations only fueled her irritation quite so. Some things just can't be overlooked. Midna glared icy daggers at the blond ready to throw something at him.
"Oh yeah, because I've been dying to ride in a dragon's talons straight into the heart of his lair," sarcasm dripped in her words, "I never asked you to take me here. Don't you think you're being just a little selfish?" And then came the interrogation. She rolled her eyes haughtily before crossing her arms hovering over her chest. The ruffles in her robes swaying softly as she motioned her weight from one leg to balancing it out on both ends. So blondie wanted to know what she was, huh? Her lips pursed slightly as a small sigh escaped her lips. What a pain~
"If you're that curious, I am called a Twili," she explained, "Your world used to know my tribe as the Dark Interlopers; those banished by Goddesses to another realm many years ago. Happy?"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She was still pissed, he could tell that much. He could detect the sarcasm dripping in her voice, and he wouldn't let it bother him as he just continued to pet the Drossling. "Most people don't get to see a dragon at all." Nightmare bluntly responded. This was actually true. They had supposedly been on the rise lately, due to a few more sighted appearances, but dragons themselves were still very rare. For all the hylians and humans and even things like dark nuts, dragons were usually regarded as a once in a lifetime find. Midna's answer to his question though, threw him for a loop. His eyes widened in shock at the revalation she had given him. In truth, she would probably find this rather entertaining, maybe even payback for snatching her. "... A Dark Interloper?" He questioned in disbelief. He knew about the dark tribe. The Empire was a massive archive of information. Due to their warlike nature, they needed to record everything in order to keep from being wiped out. It was this case of looking to the past and learning from their mistakes that kept them alive all these millenia. For a moment, he leaned forward from his throne, as if expecting her to go on. But then he slumped back in his throne and composed himself. It seemed that he had his head back under control. In truth, he was still stunned by learning what she was. But he had his doubts. Such a thing was a rather... audacious thing to claim. "I'm sorry, but I find that difficult to believe." It seemed counterproductive. Getting an answer and then just telling her that he didn't believe her? Well, it might seem understandable. But at least he would give her a chance to prove herself. Nightmare went silent for a moment as he came up with a solution, his eyes wandering up to the ceiling as he quietly murmured something to himself. The Drossling looked up at him, apparently having heard him, but lowered its head once more. Nightmare looked back at Midna, a determined look in his eyes. "Tell you what. This Empire is unique in that it keeps a massive archive of records. So I've definitely heard of the Interlopers. If you really are one of them..." Nightmare narrowed his gaze. He wouldn't buy this that easily. He had one trick up his sleeve. Something only a Dark Interloper would know. "You'll be able to recite to me the meaning of two words."Slowly rising from his throne, Nightmare gripped the Drossling and gently set him on the arm of his throne. The little creature curiously looked to see what Nightmare was doing, but decided not to follow. Nightmare however, closed the distance between him and Midna, and leaned in uncomfortably close, whispering only two words to her. "Fused. Shadow."The catch to this was that the Fused Shadow only showed up in passing in the texts that did mention the Interlopers. In actuality, there was nothing that described what exactly they were, only confirming that the Fused Shadow at some point, existed. He didn't know whether it was an artifact or a person or even a monument. If she really was an Interloper, she'd be able to answer what the books couldn't, as she'd be the only person with that kind of information.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Where was he going with this? To be quite honest, Midna didn't have time to appreciate being able to ride a dragon or the fact that they were rare. She was being pulled away from her pursuit for her artifact. The rest of the pieces of the Fused Shadows were out there somewhere, in the hands of someone it doesn't belong to, and here she was stuck being questioned by a dragon as to what she was. What made it ten times worse was the fact that he didn't believe her. Golden Goddesses have mercy~
She snickered softly at his initial expression when she proclaimed the truth behind what she really was. What a dumb look~ At least there was some bit of satisfaction in his reaction, but it still wasn't enough to completely calm down her piqued nerves. Nightmare appeared rather interested in hearing more as to what she had to say, but the Twilight Princess honestly did not know what was enough to say, and how much more should she imply.
Unfortunately, the male wasn't going to make this any bit easier on her. She couldn't help but allow an audible groan escape from her lips not at all pleased with her circumstances. If only looks could kill then she wouldn't have to deal with his little games. However, she was quickly taken back by his explanation of sorts. How he got a hold of information explained how he knew so much as to what had been happening around in Hyrule. It explained that entire encounter back at the lake. That meant there was the possibility that he may have some incites on the Fused Shadow! Why didn't she see that before? She cursed at herself mentally before her attention was taken back by Night.
Next thing she knew, Nightmare approached her, breaching the personal space bubble completely. That would be the least of her problems at the moment. Carmine eyes lit up brightly at the mention of the very words she didn't expect to come out of his mouth. By mentioning the name of her sought after artifact brought a mixture of emotions into play. She stood silent staring at him appalled, angry, and frustrated to how much he knew about the item.
"The very source of the Interloper's powers manifested in an artifact, shattered into four pieces by the guardians of this world, the Light Spirits, after their banishment," she answered calmly, "Three of the four pieces were sealed away in Hyrule. The fourth symbolizes the right of leadership for the Twili, and rests within the hands of the Twilight Sovereign, the Twilight Princess." She'll let him put the pieces together, and if he was as observant as she assumed he was, he'd figure out by now that she just wasn't a twili. Her words were as broad as the night sky, but clouded with a supercilious tone. Didn't he understand now? Could she be released back to her search?

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Her explanation proved it. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, she was indeed a Dark Interloper. There had never been any detail behind the Fused Shadow in what he read. The fact she was able to so flawlessly explain what they were, without any hesitation, without contradicting herself, without even stammering or throwing in an occasional "uh". It was just proof that she was exactly who she said she was. Curiosity began to boil within him, he wanted to know everything about the Dark Interlopers. Her culture, her realm, her people, or if she was the last one left, and even Midna herself~ He grinned with a sense of victory, and in a way, even pride. Not due to his own accomplishment, but simply because she had proven exactly who she was. "Here was the catch to that. In what I have read, the Fused Shadow only got a passing mention, only by name did I even know about it. Yet you were able to describe it without hesitation or contradiction." It was something only she would know. But there was something else, she knew where one of the pieces were, that the Twilight Princess carried one of them. "So it looks like you really are one of them. And judging by the idea that you outright know where one of them are, I think I know who you are~" He remarked, with a small tinge of pride, this time for himself, as he put things together. He was talking to the Twilight Princess. Not bothering to really back away from her, he leaned in uncomfortably close, if just to tease the girl. "You'll be happy to know you're halfway there, Midna~ You've got the beautiful princess part down. Now you just need to get me to fall helplessly in love with you." He again whispered to her. He hadn't forgotten the deal. If she met those two conditions, he would still tell her what his real name was. But he was just having too much fun. But what else could he ask? There was just so much to go over~ "Got it!" He spoke in an enthusiastic manner, pulling away from Midna just a bit. "How did you get here?"So much to talk about, so much to learn~

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Midna's eyes narrowed at the mention of his reason behind interrogating her into proving that she was telling the truth. Of course, who else could explain it better than the ruler of the Twilight Realm, herself? The Sovereign wasn't quite sure if it was the right thing to do or not as far as disclosing such information out to the light dweller. A feeling of exposure ran up her spine as if letting her deepest darkest secrets out to the blond man. Though she got an inkling of an idea aware that Nightmare wasn't exploiting her for any self-benefiting reasons. In fact, she sensed that it was more or less the fact that he was curious about her. She noticed behind the grin, behind the look in his eyes, he wanted to know, but it was up to Midna to decide whether or not he was worth it~
In turn, it brought a smirk across her lips, as if to congratulate the smart dragon for figuring out who she was. However the smirk returned back to her playful nature enjoying the thought that he took quite an interest in her. The strings were quickly raveling up, tying them together little by little, feeling a connection of sorts between Nightmare. In a sense, she saw a lot of herself in him, despite his cocky attitude, there was a child inside eager to know, and willing to get what he wants no matter what it took. It was a little disturbing~ Though she quickly convinced herself it was the fact that such similarities brought them on common grounds. Like a mutual, but quiet understanding between one another. It was what set the change in mood for the princess. His company was once again more affable to be around.
"All in good time, brat," she mused. She would ham this up for what it was worth. Take her sweet time to make sure he was the one who fell first. Of course, it wasn't as if she didn't take into the consideration of falling in love with him along the way as well. However her stubborn streak would not admit it openly to the arrogant dragon, it was indeed a possibility, but priorities did come before personal relationships, after all~ She didn't have time to be thinking about the concept of love, and the silly little frivolous trivialities it brought.
Midna perked when he chimed excitedly before drawing himself away from her personal bubble. With a flick of her slender arm brushing the hems of her cloak. Raising that very same hand up, appearing out of thin air, was the dark disc floating within the palm of her hand. "Please forgive the lack of a more creative name, but I was given this, Dark Mirror, which created the link that allowed me, and my people into this realm," she explained. With a snap of her fingers, it disappeared before she continued, "To make a long story short, I was given this by an intruder proclaiming words of a prophet of dangers that would befall not only Hyrule, but also my world as well." Obviously, both Nightmare and Midna could conclude those to be accurate words now upon the hostilities that were running rampant. All hell broke loose, and it only brought the bitter taste in her mouth of how certain denizens of light treated her people.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Nightmare examined the mirror as she held it up, listening to her explanation intently. He had to admit, that was an awful name. But with people calling themselves Dark Interlopers, he shouldn't have been surprised. He really couldn't hide it. He snickered just a bit when she pointed out how uncreative it was. At least she was aware of it, and wasn't going to try and act like it was some grand name of majesty and myth. But still, the confirmation of another realm, the Dark Interlopers returning, and the method they used, it was all just so incredible. However, he started putting things together. Everyone was blaming her and her people for the recent catastrophes. "... Well this sort of connects things together. They were blaming you then. With the way Hyrule is, I figured they were blaming the Ainur and myself." Nightmare commented. Hyrule had never been friendly towards the monsters. Whenever something bad came along, most of the population blamed them for it. Even when the disaster was actually something natural, like an earthquake, or that powderkeg Death Mountain erupting. If something bad happened, it was just easier for them to blame the monsters than acknowledge there were things beyond their control. Such was the way of life. But, what the prophet said was true. Catastrophe was striking the world bit by bit. Nightmare began to figure it out. Hyrule was the last line of defense. If Hyrule fell, her realm would surely follow. The world had been made into a battleground once again. And yet even here there were still questions to ask. And maybe a bit of an offer later on. For now... "Makes sense. Just be careful about this prophet. The only real way to trust them is if they're an old loon. If he's not an old loon, be careful." He warned. He knew how prophets worked. The pretty boy prophets always had something else going on. It was the old, crazy loons that babbled about the end of days that you listened to. Onto the next question! "Neato. So why did you come here exactly? If your realm is being left alone and it's all on us, why put yourself in danger for well, a world where a majority of its populace is still bitter towards you?" This was something that Nightmare found baffling. The only reason he was trying to help Hyrule was that he was trying to repair the relations between the monsters and the world. Perhaps that was the reason she was putting her life on the line for Hyrule? His thoughts would be interrupted however, as he noticed the markings on her arm. Taking a quick grasp of it, he examined the glowing marks, gently tracing his finger over each line. "And are these real or fake?" He asked, seemingly mesmerized by the markings on her skin.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Midna couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow up at his comment. So in other words, he understood what it felt like to have the world just point the finger at him and his people? That was quite relatively coincidental for her liking. Though it was a somewhat comforting thought to know she didn't feel like she had to be the only one to hold the title, along with it's baggage upon her head. The weight of the crown was heavy, and not just a physical little trinket covered in flawless jewels one wears proudly upon their head. When you took up the title of being any form of leader, you held the weight of everyone following your every step of the way. Faithful or unfaithful, they would always be watching, and quick to start talking. Things that must be accepted with a level head. You know the etiquette, and all that jazz~
"Unfortunately, seems to me Hyrule finds it easier to point their little fingers on everyone, anyone who remotely looks like they could be up to no good," she chipped in her two cents to his comment. Nightmare would be one of the few leaders who, for the most part, accepted her. Yes, he was a troll on many degrees, and perhaps that may rub people the wrong way, but regardless of his drawbacks, he accepted her which was a big bonus on her part. Midna would return the favor, if anything~
As far as the prophet went, she gave the benefit of the doubt to Mr. Enigma. Whilst her personal preference would have been to not entirely trust him at all, she knew without his assistance, she wouldn't have made it this far. There were still some things left unchecked that she had to get done, and with the way things were looking, she had to settle on them quickly. She sensed soon enough she would have to meet with the Hylian Princess soon enough, and the things that needed to be discussed, whether the poor dear wanted to hear them or not.
Carmine eyes lit up slightly at his first question. Now that she thought about it, he would be the first person to initially ask her of her purpose there in the light realm. A small smirk escaped her dark lips as her long lashes fluttered softly in a moment of thought. "Remember when I mentioned asking if you've noticed any unnatural occurrences or anomalies happening in Hyrule?" she mentioned a past reference. "I was looking for leads that may involve the three remaining Fused Shadow fragments, if there was any activity involving them. Like I mentioned earlier, they were once sealed away by the Light Spirits." Whoever had those remaining pieces would be in for a world of hurt when she got her hands on them. She was trying to piece together any leads she could find towards getting that power back. It was what drove her through all of this crap to begin with, despite the animosity she had to face. It was her priority to make sure it didn't fall into evil hands, and besides, belonged to her dammit.
She was about to go into further detail, but Nightmare was easily distracted by something on her arm. Midna blinked. Did he seriously just ask her that? Really? Then an idea popped into her head, and a wicked fanged grin escaped from her lips. With her free hand, she grabbed a handful of his hair, and tugged on it slightly. Just enough to bring him close, their faces barely even a few centimeters apart then feel a bit of sting from the initial pull. "Let me answer your question with another question, are you really a natural blonde?" she joked darkly.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie So that's why she had come. She had been looking for the Fused Shadows from the first time they met. However, that brought up just one little question. However, things would have to wait a moment before he asked that, as before he knew it, he had been yanked by the hair uncomfortably close to Midna. He started to wonder if she was going to try something. He already felt that he had won from earlier, so her trying something wouldn't be that surprising. And well, he'd see where it went. But that wasn't the case, instead asking him whether he was a natural blond or not. It didn't take long for him to pick up on what she meant, and he had his answer. He had honestly thought they were all clothes, did that mean that aside from the cloak, she wasn't even wearing anything? That was... good to know. For him. Nightmare winced a little as he felt the sting from being yanked over though, before looking Midna in the eye. "Real then. And for the record, natural summer." He clarified. If she was asking whether he was a natural blond, then maybe the idea of whether he was a summer or a winter would come up. However, what she said was true, Hyrule did like to point fingers. Especially at him. "Here's a fun fact. I'm in actuality, the Emperor of the Ainur. You've probably heard of the Ainur as monsters, if you've been spying and snooping." Nightmare pointed out to her just what race he was ultimately talking about. But there was one thing that she might not have picked up on. "If you've heard whispers of a Dark Lord, well, you're gripping his silky smooth locks." Nightmare chimed in. He knew what it would like to be discriminated against. When the Dark Interlopers had been banished, Hyrule just more or less turned its attention to the monsters. Oh right! His question. Not really bothering to back away, as he was starting to get used to this position, he blinked for a moment. "So this brings up a question. You're looking for the Fused Shadow, and you know the Light Spirits split it apart and hid them somewhere in Hyrule." She probably would've been able to figure out where he was going with this. He wondered if the idea had occurred to her in the past, or if this would just result in a rather awkward silence for the two. Smirking, he continued. "So hasn't it occurred to you to go to them for a clue?" This was going to be fun.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company That didn't take her long to figure out what could throw a wrench in his thought process. Or at least turn him a few shades of red~ The look on his face, however brief it had been, was quite entertaining. She ate it up like a sweet dessert, bit by bit, her fanged grin widened wildly, pondering for a moment what was going on in that ticking mind of his. Midna loved the tension she sparked inside of him, knowing now how to get under his skin, but there would be a slight reprieve of the little torture. Even the big bad dragon had his moments of endearment~ She was going to have plenty of fun teasing him nonetheless. Nightmare could be... hilariously cute when he's thrown off guard.
Yes, she noticed the various creatures around in Hyrule, some were hostile, whilst others were a little more docile. However those that came in various shapes, and forms for the most part were the monsters of this realm. Nightmare mentioned them being actually called Ainur. Fancy name for beasts, but back to the point at hand. He was an emperor apparently. Midna smirked, contemplating on whether she should feel proud that she managed to yank at the Emperor's mop of hair, or repulsed by the pure cocky attitude he had in explaining it to her. Either way, she was quite amused.
Though she kinda noticed, in some sick fashion, he was enjoying having his hair pulled or at least getting used to it. Midna would deny him the enjoyment by relinquishing her hold on him. She released her grasp onto his hair, allowing him to stand up straight, but her eyes were still fixated on his own eyes.
"Yeeaaaah... about that," was her only reply. Her expression quickly darkened as she raised her hand, disclosing her palm, revealing the faded burn scar from their first encounter. Her skin was marred, and it scarred over time but remnants of the wound were still visible. "That was your fault, might I remind you," she said casually, though it was obvious she didn't appreciate his little stunt back at the lake, "Twili are vulnerable to sunlight, and moonlight in this realm. So trying to ask any of the spirits, which are all nothing but pure light is the equivalent to instant death for me. Why else do you think I've been lurking in the shadows all of this time? It's not a fashion statement, might I add~"

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie She released his hair and almost immediately, he straightened himself out. He wouldn't say anything about what she had been doing. Even he knew when it was time to shut up. Especially considering that she was blaming him for a slight scar that he really didn't have any idea about. Just how could he have inflicted that when he had done nothing that could cause a scar? An arm reached out and he gently grasped her wrist as he looked at her palm. Examining the scar, he knew it wasn't the result of his dragonfire, so how could he have caused it? Quite frankly, he was pretty sure he didn't. But the information that sun and moonlight burned her was something she probably should have told him earlier. Nevertheless, it was good that he knew now before he ended up doing something to put her in the danger zone. Really though, burned by both sun and moonlight? That just sounded like, well... "... I wasn't aware that Twili were essentially vampires." Nightmare snickered as he teased her. This was honestly just way too good, despite being such a serious situation. "Explains your fangs." He teased, referring to how she always seemed to show a fang whenever she grinned. Though he found her logic both valid yet odd. She wouldn't confront the Light Spirits about it because she was afraid they would more or less vaporize her. "And who said they had to actually appear?" He pointed out this fallacy. Well, to him it was a fallacy. But regardless, this was probably something she didn't even want to risk. And well, he couldn't blame her. He wouldn't want to put himself in a possible death trap just to get some cryptic clue that might turn out to backfire. If anything, he'd get someone else to get the answer. An idea~ Maybe in a way, they could help each other. "But if you're so nervous... I guess I could do the talking for you." He offered. Being a light realmer, he wouldn't die if he ended up talking to a Light Spirit. Of course, she could help him as well. With what though, well, he had an idea~

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company "The difference between vampires, and twili is that blood isn't mandatory in our diet," she rolled her eyes, then she quickly added, "And we don't sparkle either." Couldn't resist that one. It wasn't as if she resented the Light Realm due to this unfortunate drawback. No, Midna told reminded herself that this place was only important for the sake that it balanced her realm. Hyrule in it's own right was beautiful, but that didn't mean it was perfect. This beautiful yet ugly world fascinated her, it's diversity, culture; all of it was interesting, different, but... it was anything but accepting.
This included any form of an encounter with the spirits of Light. Nothing against them personally, and as much as she needed their guidance to lead her to where her precious artifact was... Yeah, there was something about the liability of the spirits appearing, and frying her before she could even get to her question that didn't sit comfortable within her stomach. She couldn't put her finger on it, whether it was from an experience from another lifetime, or something close to it, she just didn't wish to risk the chances. Whatever it was, it was a quite a setback on the sovereign's part, and furthered her frustration with how things just couldn't be easier for her. Perhaps though it meant to be this way~ The rewards in the end will be sweeter than comprehension could allow.
Midna's expression lit up when he offered to do the talking for her. Though she quickly covered up that eager expression picking up the subtle signs that he was plotting something. She tilted her head slightly to the side, her robes adorning her head, followed accordingly trying to finger out if she should be worried or anxious to hear what kind of idea he has in mind. "What do you have in mind?" she inquired.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie He had to give it to her, she was sharp. She was very sharp. It was almost eerie just how much like him she happened to be. But, at least that meant that she'd be something that he could rely on when things got tough. Maybe. Nightmare had a tendency to bail if it was clear he was in way over his head and he had no real attachment to whatever was at stake. If she had that too, then he only hoped that they'd see each other as valuable before that situation ever came up, or one of them could end up dead from it. "You caught on fast. Well, it's simple my dear~" He complimented. Thankfully, his condition was... fairly easy to accept. "You let me accept you." Nightmare hadn't really realized he was still holding her hand from looking at the light scar. Perhaps for the moment, that part of his body just ceased to exist to him. After all, if one was going to go for an alliance, they had to focus and concentrate their efforts on that in particular. "You and I share similar lives. What with the ruling and the being hated the world over. Not to mention with similar personalities, we'd work... frighteningly well together." That was his justification. Which was quickly followed by the perks of accepting an alliance. "Plus an alliance means you'd be able to enter the Black Lands as you please. As for me? Well, it makes the Ainur look like the bigger man, so to say. Being the first to accept the newcomers and show a willingness to mend and heal." He further explained, putting on the absolutely dorkiest smile that he could manage. That he was aware of, and he kind of wondered just what Midna would say to it, or if it'd help her accept his offer. There was also the military might though. What with Midna having her own realm, and Night's military being the strongest in Hyrule, those two together would be nothing short of unstoppable.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Midna really hoped that with sharing similar traits would prove to be ties which'll prove valuable in the future. The last thing she needed was to be looking in at someone else, and get the picture painted in her mind that she was looking at herself, like a reflection in someone else. That would be more that a little uncomfortable~ Anywho, for now, she was quite content with the fact that at least there was something going on here. She wasn't one hundred percent sure what it was exactly, but everything would be explained all in due time. Now she was rather piqued with what Nightmare had in mind as far as that little idea spurring up.
An alliance? All she had to do was accept him. His explanation justifying why they should form such ties were... rhetorical, at best. Not that she wasn't disagreeing with him, they were valid reasons, but it amusing how he put it. Well, there was always a first for everything. Up until now, Midna had been relying highly on her own strength to make it this far. Her scarlet eyes flickered brightly, trying to hold back the eagerness within, knowing that this is perhaps a little too good to be true. Nothing ever came out precisely how she wanted them too, and whilst she gave no exception towards this, didn't mean she was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Besides when one holds out a helping hand, where, could she find it in her heart to refuse? However she did recognize the consequences behind forming a tie with the Ainur. Hyrule would take notice of their alliance quicker than a wildfire can reach the Faron Woods. Still, she wanted to believe what Nightmare said was true about mending, and healing relations with the rest of the races. It would be so much nicer without the whole discrimination factor going into play, but you know~ When did she ever get her way since stepping into this realm?
She was thrown off a little by his smile. A laugh escaped from her lips finding it comical, a flirtatious smile formed upon her lips. Long lashes fluttering softly as she motioned her hand a little. "You have a deal... after you've let go of my hand," she teased, "I know you enjoy holding it, but I can't keep it there forever."

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie He saw her eyes light up. He knew that to her, this seemed like an offer that was just too good to be true, but it was true. An alliance between the two would work out too well to pass up for both parties. He only hoped that they would at least be able to stick to it. Nightmare himself would fo his best to make sure he kept things in order, and at least kept the Twili safe. Perhaps in a way, that would be one of his ways of thanking her. And as he was immediately filled with glee as she accepted, she point out one little detail that he had missed; her hand. "Oh, right." Nightmare let go of her hand. Truth was she just brought it to his attention. He had forgotten all about it. He felt just a little embarrassed from that. Not that it really mattered now, they had a deal, they were allies now. It was kind of funny. With everything going around, it was the monsters that ended up being the first to accept the Twili into the realm of Light. For all that preaching about how he and the rest of the Ainur were evil and they were the purest of good, it was the monsters that progressed forward. But that meant preparations, she would need a place to operate, a command center, just something that they could plan from. Nightmare thought for a moment just what she could use. "Well, seeing as you'll need a base of operations, and a place to stay, why not just stay here?" He didn't mind giving her a free room to stay in. He had one that he never used anyway, so why not let her have it while she was here? "You can stay in my room. I don't really use it anyway." As mentioned, he never used his room. When he went to sleep, he went to sleep in his treasury in his dragon form.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Midna giggled. Second time today she's managed to get him flustered~ She was on a roll. Yeah, the seriousness from before quickly simmered down, and left behind was a more casual, and friendlier atmosphere for the two. When he released her hand, she allowed it to dangle off to her side appropriately as she contemplated this new formed alliance. Was it really the right thing to do? Well, regardless of whether it was right or wrong, she could only speculate that with allies on her side, it would prove significant in the long run. For that the princess was rather grateful for the dragon for his hospitality.
Speaking of which, he brought a wonderful idea~ Midna was all for not having to sleep within the confine spaces of shadows in trees or anywhere not quite so comfortable. An actual bed would be nice. Though she was thrown off by when he mentioned using his room. "While that is a very hospitable offer, where do you... nevermind. Got it~" she snickered softly, "Classic dragon."
When she calmed down, her scarlet eyes examined the young man for a moment or two. She couldn't explain it exactly, but she was getting vibes off of him. Not good. Not bad either, but it was as if she might've met him before. What was she thinking? Before she knew nothing of what this world held, let alone anything of Nightmare's existence. She met him at the lake so there was no way to explain what brought that subtle sense of nostalgia. For now, it was best to keep such silly things to herself~

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie Wow, she actually figured it all out, without any hints as to where he slept. Was it really such a common trait of dragons that it showed up in the Twilight Realm too? Nightmare grumbled a bit at the fact that such a stereotype existed with him. But it was apparently natural for him, he just couldn't really help it. "It... doesn't end there. I don't like being robbed and we're lucky there are no towns nearby, let's just put it that way." He hung his head in shame at this fact. Yes, it was true, if he were robbed and a town were nearby, he would very likely trash said town. He looked back at her with a face filled with exasperation. "I don't know why I do it, I just can't help it!" He defended himself. However, he tried to move on. She would need to see where she was going to be staying for her time in the Light Realm. ... And she needed to know that there were things that she couldn't touch. Simply because while he never used the room, there were things in the room that he did use. Things that would be highly dangerous if she got into them, things that could possibly get her killed. For now, Nightmare held out his hand to the Princess, as if inviting her to join him. "So, would you like me to show you to your quarters?" He offered. Truth was that he was going to show her around the room whether she liked it or not. There were some things that he could not afford her trying out. And if she was pretty much just like him, he knew for a fact that she would be interested in trying them out. He only hoped she wasn't like him in that she'd ignore said warnings.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company While there weren't any legit dragons in the Twilight Realm, she knew plenty of twilis out there who could morph into shadow beasts that represented the serpentine creatures. They were quite interesting creatures to say. She had read a few lores behind the beasts, nothing that went into explicit details, but that behavior behind sleeping within the treasury was one of the things she picked up in her palace archives.
To be perfectly honest, the concept behind dragons were simply unfathomable, though Nightmare proved otherwise that they did, indeed, exist. What were we going on about again? Right, dragon's quirky behavior... Midna was quite entertained with the way he covered up his further embarrassment with frustration. The look on his face was just too much~
"Might as well~" she shrugged. It was quite clear her expression read somewhere along the lines quite clearly 'do I really have a choice in the matter'. Despite her snarky attitude, she had to admit, it would be nice to know what her living quarters looked like for the most part. Yes, she was quite curious as to what the room would be like, and all.
Her thoughts did stray on an important factor she found quite pleasant, a bed. Whoever came up with the idea for beds was simply a genius, because it was much more comfortable than sleeping in a tree, or even at times on the ground.
