One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie She surrendered to him, letting him give her a quick tour. It'd only be a few minutes, but there wouldn't be too much to go over. Nightmare beamed like a child though, he was actually enjoying this. Gently gripping her wrist, he dragged her along with him. Thankfully, it wasn't too far, a door behind the throne room. Being the Emperor, he still had plenty of work to do. For him, it tended to be get up, do work, unless he went out of his way to travel and get away from Barad-Dur. Which he had to do quite often, because if Nightmare didn't have a chance to be himself, if all he did was work, he would go completely insane. As he opened the door, the real magnificence of the room was revealed. Lush red carpet decorated the floor with ornate decorations lining the walls, including a lot of old, and valuable looking painting. There weren't any windows though, just to keep assassins from just sneaking into the bedroom and killing the emperor in their sleep. He wouldn't let himself die that quickly. "Alright, this is well, my room. You're free to use mostly everything in here. Except the mirror." He instructed. He motioned over towards a nice looking king sized bed. It was definitely a room fit for a king. However, he quickly motioned to a mirror. "Except the mirror. That's something that really only the Emperor can use. It's one of those mirrors that you can walk in and out of. It's also very dangerous, so don't touch it." This wasn't a fib. There were plenty of dangers in that mirror that only Nightmare was really allowed access to. Granted, if one were powerful enough, they might be able to survive, but they would still be attacked. Nightmare was the only one that could exist inside that mirror without incident.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company Didn't we just finish letting go of the hand? Now Nightmare took her hand back before dragging her with him towards the bedroom. She staggered a little nearly losing her balance. Thankfully, she was graceful enough not to face plant, managing to keep her balance intact. It was all no thanks to his childish eagerness either might that be added~ Honestly, did he act this way in front of people?
Midna had a pestering suspicion that one doesn't drop their guard so easily like he did in front of her. Perhaps she was over analyzing it, and it was a little surprising how trusting he appeared to be now. However putting the complaints aside for a moment, she was rather piqued with taking a look at the living quarters.
As soon as he opened the door, and the two of them entered through the threshold, she had to admit, she didn't expect anything less from the emperor. The crimson colored carpet caressed the surface of her feet quite nicely upon entering. The paintings each held something distinct about them, telling a lot about the artist who did them, but to Midna, they were all a little archaic for her taste. She noticed right away the lack of windows, which in turn, was probably a good thing since sunlight, and moonlight weren't her best friend. "Not bad~" she complimented. Night was right, it was a room fit for a king, but soon enough it would belong to a princess~
As soon as the mirror came into the discussion Midna's attention was quickly turned to it. An eyebrow quirked up. "Is that so, huh?" she pondered aloud standing in front of it. What appeared before her did not surprise her one bit. Or rather, to put it in another terms, what didn't appear right in front of her. Midna didn't have a reflection cast, but Nightmare did.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie He was glad she liked it. If she was going to be staying here, then she would have to like it. If she didn't, that would mean that she would be pushing for a complete renovation. While he could just say no, as he was essentially offering her a free place to stay, it would just end up being a headache. Plus, if she was like him, she wouldn't stop. He knew he was persistent, that he really didn't stop pushing it until it was done. That was one of the dangers of having what was essentially a female version of yourself, they came with all your flaws as well. A bit of concern did shoot into him though when her only response seemed to carry curiosity about the mirror. She was just like him. Though he wouldn't say it, Nightmare mentally discarded any plans on getting any sleep tonight. If he was guessing it correctly, she was going to mess with it tonight, and he would have to bail her out of the mess she would get herself into. At least, that was what he was calling. If anything, the advantage of having a female version of yourself was that you could at least predict what they were going to do. However, he immediately noticed one thing about the two of them standing in front of the mirror. While he saw his reflection, he didn't see Midna's. She didn't have one. His mouth twitched, and it was clear he was trying to suppress something. It was also clear that he was having a really hard time pulling it off, and he'd fail in just a few seconds. Immediately, he started roaring with laughter. He had to get away, and walked towards his bed before plopping down on it. He tried to say something, but he just couldn't manage a full sentence. However, he was able to get "Twili" and "Vampire" in.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company For the most part, the princess was grateful for such a wonderful gift~ Nothing brought the best comfort in the world that to lay on a soft bed. Midna was going to be counting her blessings for every night she turns in for bed, she'd be welcomed warmly to soft sheets, and a fluffy pillow. She did note that the room did have regal taste, but it was quite different in styles than her elegant bedroom. Oh well, she wasn't complaining, a room was a room. Though her attention was elsewhere at the moment.
The mirror certainly did get her attention, and she couldn't help but wonder what exactly made this thing so special. She was about to ask Nightmare that but as soon as she turned around to ask, she noticed something off about him. He looked like he was trying so hard at restraining himself from letting something out, what with the way his mouth twitched, and his body tensed. He failed epically, and took the princess by surprise when he began roaring out laughing. It only left the poor twili perplexed as to what the hell got him all giddy all of a sudden.
Well, she got an answer... kinda.
If only he could have sensed the foreboding aura that Midna gave off. Now so more than ever, she really wish looks could kill, like spears being thrown into his direction on how much her irritation had risen. Didn't we drop the subject on twilis being vampires? Glancing up to one of the paintings that hung up against the wall above the bed, her carmine eyes flickered brightly, before her index finger spun in circles.
With just one pull with her psychic powers, she took out the support that held the painting on the wall, and the piece of masterpiece would come crashing down against the bed's headboard, tipping it slightly so that only the frame of the picture gave Nightmare a good wrap to the head. Soon it would plop itself comfortable on top of the bed waiting to be hung back up where it belong.
Can we say Tsundere, much? Very good~ Midna just showed a classic example of such. "If you're done, you can take your leave now," she motioned, her voice nerve betraying her mood. A dust of blush flushed her tinted skin, giving her a rather strange coloring, but it didn't change one bit that Night did get under her skin. So annoying!

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie Nightmare just couldn't stop laughing. She had fought against Twili not being vampires, and yet she didn't even have a reflection. How in the world would she defend against something like that. It had him distracted to the point where he hadn't even realized she was working her magic. For such an observant person, he had missed this entirely, and he would end up paying for it. Slightly. Thankfully, the punishment itself wasn't too severe, but it would probably leave a bump on his head. He was actually caught off guard by the portrait coming down to conk him in the head. As the frame hit his forehead, his laughing immediately stopped, having been cut off with a somewhat humorous sounding "Hack!" As Nightmare moved the thing off him, he gently rubbed his forehead somewhat. He really wished he had seen that coming. If he had, he would've just covered his face with the Ultimate Shield for just a brief second before letting it go. In the end, Midna ended up getting her win. Sitting up, he looked over to Midna, who he noticed was blushing. To be honest, he wasn't really sure why she was blushing, or for what reason she would be. But, he decided it might be best to just let her be so she could ended up getting accustomed to her room. Rising to his feet, he silently walked past her. Heading towards the door. He wasn't mad or anything. He didn't like getting smacked in the face with a painting, but he wouldn't hold it against her. As he approached the door, he looked back at her. "Goodnight then~ Remember, don't get in over your head." He advised, exiting out the door. He'd wait in the throne room though. He knew what was going to happen.

Heaven for the weather, Hell for the company As much as she enjoyed the satisfying smack to the forehead Nightmare received from a victorious revenge it didn't change her mood one bit. A brow twitched slightly in irritation not quite pleased with his teasing. Honestly, didn't he know when to grow up? Well, she was grateful that the smack to the head shut him up and she could try to calm down a bit. So annoying! What a pest, she grumbled mentally. Yeah, she agreed to form an alliance with this man as well, goddesses have mercy~
Her eyelids lifted up the second she heard his advice before the door closed behind him. Now there was a couple of things wrong with not only his advice, but the deal behind leaving the mirror behind in a room that she would be using. Perhaps he could get away with the excuse that this was all last minute, but that still didn't apply to the matters that if you tell someone not to go snooping around, what are they going to do? Snoop around~
Telling the princess now to mess with the mirror was a clear indicator that reverse psychology was going to take place. Midna turned her attention back over to the mirror still not quite sure what the big deal was about not having a reflection, but nonetheless it got her curious. What kind of secrets laid deep within the mirror that Nightmare was so bent in keeping away from her?
Only one way to find out~
