"Destination? No, not really," Slaughter exhaled, stretching her arms out behind her and clasping her hands together.

The bloody City in the Sky!
Who wants to go there anyway?

"If you are in a hurry though, don't let me keep you!"

What a peculiar encounter this had been. Titania certainly seemed like quite the character. Slaughter didn't know of many people who just dropped in to touch bases with perfect strangers. But then again, it was probably just a part of her kindhearted nature.
Slaughter half wished that Titania would invite her to her forest sometime, so she would at least have someplace nice to go. Someplace where she felt the least bit wanted. She was just dreading going to the City in the Sky as much as she was anticipating it. What a waste of a journey that would be!

Slaughter shook her head softly as if to physically disperse the cynical thoughts from her head.

Titania thought for a moment about leaving. She seemed to get a bit antsy and needed somewhere to go. Titania needed to get back to the grove before the court sent out a search party again. That never ended well. The least they could do was send someone with more tact and discretion.

Releasing the hug again, Titania pointed out towards the Faron province, where the grove lay.

"I can't promise the warmest of welcomes, and if I'm not there to vouch for you, it may be difficult to even get in. But the grove needs more diversity. It's boring with just fairies and Kokiri, you know? But if you ever get lost in the forest, pray to Faron and he will guide you to the grove." She was going to fly away, but stopped for a second and turned back around to Slaughter.

"Are you going to spend the night sleeping out in this field?" She would have invited her to the Grove immediately as a kind gesture, but she needed to be cautious before doing anything rash, since the last event left the court leery of outsiders. But if she had nowhere to go, then to the grove it was.

"No," Slaughter said softly, albeit with renewed conviction. Although she did not want their brief encounter to end so suddenly, Slaughter felt stronger due to it. Perhaps it was simply the aftermath of Titania's kind, magnetic nature. Either way, Slaughter felt a new drive to continue her journey off into the City in the Sky, and perhaps go searching for her new acquaintance at a later date.

"I am going to follow your directions and seek out the City in the Sky."

A smoldering flame was building intensity inside the fissures of Slaughter's heart. She felt the strength to go and build some kind of foundation in her life; it was a strange, warming feeling she was sure she had never felt before. But in order to discover her future, she must first relive her past.

Slowly, the edges of Slaughter's lips pulled upwards to form a dainty little smile as she saw Titania making the motions to depart.
"This may have been the first time I have uttered these words, but...it was a pleasure."

Titania nodded back. She was glad that she had helped, although not in the way she normally helped. But it was something to see Slaughter want to make the trip to the City in the Sky, something she didn't seem so sure of a few minutes ago.

"It has been wonderful chatting with you, young Oocca. I wish you the best in your endeavors, and that you find what you are looking for." Titania then took to the sky, venturing swiftly back to the Sacred Grove. If she were lucky, she would see the bright young lady in the future during her travels.

And in a matter of only a few passing seconds, Slaughter's new acquaintance-- whom she one day hoped to call friend-- was off.

Now it was her turn.

Slaughter's fragile smile morphed itself into a little pout as she tried to mentally recall the directions Titania had given her in order to make her way towards the City in the Sky. With hands outstretched up into the sky, Slaughter thought it best to physically and mentally prepare herself for what was coming now. She silently recalled the words of Tabula Rasa, a hybrid woman whom she had met earlier. The woman had said that other races would not be very welcoming to hybrids like herself, and if that was the case, she would have to be ready for whatever they would throw at her.

Slaughter exhaled, her breath shaky from her seemingly ever present nerves, and began her trek out of the field.
