As the beams raced through the air in zigzag formation, Fane’s raised sword was capable of defending him from only one attack, the other two swerving around too erratically and impacting him, throwing him backwards. However, this did not stop the warrior, quickly taking off for his ally, but unfortunately the beams were too quick, and while he was able to block the second, the first one hit Kin square in the chest, throwing her to the soft sand below.
Merik’s defense worked, but it only blocked two before shattering completely, the Leader’s magic protecting him from greater harm as he was thrown back against his own ice from the blow.
However, Merik and Fane’s damage was quickly negated, as the unnoticed Oocca used her powers of healing to restore them almost immediately, with only Kin’s damage remaining.
Steel Fist continued its attempt to march onward, stepping clear of the hole Merik had dug for it and moving forward towards the Arbiter’s Grounds, each step moving it closer to its goal, with unknown intentions.

Fane felt the blast smash into his body, and with a quick rebound, went sliding back across the sand. Immediately after taking damage he was healed by the Oocca's magic. Feeling the restored vigor, he watched as the Giant took a large step foreword, seeming to ignore them once more.
Shaking his head, Fane was getting pissed. Was it to good to focus on them? Fine then; Sidestepping, he swung Greer's blade to the side, and slashed sideways directly at the Giant's leg, attempting to remove the leg, or damage it in some way. His slash was strong and direct.

Getting smashed against his hastily constructed ice wall had knocked the wind out of Merik before he suddenly and unexpectedly felt just fine again. Shaking his head he looked up to see the giant walking away from them and the other man charging the beast with a big sword. Getting back to his feet he ran after the pair, and as the man was focused on one leg, firing a stream of ice onto the (presumably) still red-hot armor of the creature's other leg.
Heated metal exposed to rapid cooling can strengthen the metal substantially if done correctly. Taking it too far in either direction can stress, weaken, crack, and, in rare cases, shatter the metal...I really hope it's one of the latter two or this could be quite troublesome...
COOLDOWNS: This was Desertfury's last turn of attacking so the sands will settle back and it has two turns before it can be resummoned, this was the last turn of Icethrower so it's two turn cooldown has begun, Pegasus Boots have one more turn to cooldown, Dodge has one more turn to cooldown.

OOC: Kin and Sche have been skipped once. Merik’s conclusion was accurate, and even though his ice only affected one leg, the heat retained on the other thanks to the desert‘s influence.
Fane’s blade sliced into the softened metal that was oozing slowly, cutting halfway through the leg, though unfortunately it would prove tough to pull out. Merik’s ice flurry impacted the other leg and, with the immense weight of the creature pressing down on it, the metal splintered.
With the attacks impairing both of the gargantuan‘s legs, the beast was toppled, falling onto its knees and sinking deep into the sand, the grains spilling around it as it sunk with the sudden impact until its knees were covered.
Turning around to face the beings that assaulted it, the beast roared and swung its axe quickly, attempted to hit Fane while he was still attached to the sword stuck in its leg.

As the last of Desertfury's whirling sands settled back to the ground and the giant toppled from the simultaneous attacks to it's legs, a dark grin spread across Merik's face.
And now that you've decided to stop moving again, lets see what can be done with you... he thought as he spun Frostfire, the last of the residual ice flying from the blade.
As the monster slashed at the Fane with it's axe, the pirate decided it was a good time to grab it's attention and started stabbing into the back of it's thigh.
COOLDOWNS: Dodge and Pegasus Boots have both cooled down, Desertfury and Icethrower both have one turn remaining

Let go of the Goddamn blade Fane!
The voice echoed through his head as he felt the blade slide into the metal. Fane in all honesty probably could of avoided this situation, and even still he could of completely dodged the attack with a dedicated roll. The only issue was that with the sand collapsing in at the Giants weight, he himself was sliding into it, and was fighting to maintain a composure. Furthermore, his natural reaction was to yank at the blade, and try to pull it out. While it held no weight to Fane from the side of the blade, he assumed it would be easy to pull free, however he was proved wrong.
"F***"
Looking up, he realized the blade was lodged far to deep for him to simply pull out without a strong position. With his weight unbalanced, he had only a few choices. Draw Aarondite, a blade that would provide little to no defense, or take an offensive action, one that came to him rather quickly. As the large weapon swung down at him, he pulsed his energy back into his hand, and let go of Greer's blade.
Placing one foot on the handle of the blade, he hefted himself up at the Axe, bringing his raw fist forth to clash with the blade as ripples of white and red tore around it. Demonic Pulse had just recharged, and he used it to clash with the axe. It was an extremely powerful ability, his most useful, and hopefully it would shatter the axe, send it flying out of the Giants hand, or at least stop it from making direct contact with his body.
It didn't matter much anyway; from his awkward position and uneven balance, the blast would most likely throw Fane back into the sand. If it did still somehow tear through the blast of energy, Fane's hand would be horribly injured, and healing magic would be a necessity to restore it.

As Kinsley awakened from unconsciousness, she peered around at the ditch of sand she was in. She heard the noises of the fight that had taken place above the ditch. Hastily, she lifted herself from the sand and back to her feet. It was then she noticed her body had returned to her human form, and there was a jolt of pain lingering in her chest. She clutches it. She had remembered that she lacked even more defense in her animal form. At this she chuckled; She had found her own mistake amusing.
So she grabbed dagger beside her and began climbing out of the ditch. With her head poked out of the dwelling, she was treated to the sight of the Giant faltering on it's knees. A smile was drawn with her lips. With it that low to the ground.. it's vulnerable, she thought, as she brought forth her rapier with her other hand, turned herself Invisible then charged at the behemoth from behind. When she was in range of it, she leaped up and anchored herself to creature's backside, using her rapier and stiletto, and climbed.
She continued to scale the giant's back, until she came to it's head. There, she would mount herself on it's neck and stabbed for the opening gaps and spaces in it's helmet, with the narrow bladed weapons she wiled.

She has had enough of this foolish monster's inability to comprehend that it needs to stay put and die. Sure, it's irritating to land on sand and watch people flail about with their weapons, but it is even more irritating to watch the target of such activity survive everything those brave souls have thrown at it. Scheherazade scowls, a somehow pretty expression with her slightly pouty lips, and focuses her mind. It's a simple exercise that all Oocca learn, to center the power of their mind through gestures. Because they were angels once, and even a shattered race still has power.
She screams her frustration at the sheer madness of it all, throws her arm out and concentrates just a little to the edge of power. It will take everything she has to do this, mind over matter to a ridiculous level, to reach with her hand and mind and will it to flatten like a pancake on the sands. "Just. Die. ALREADY!!"
[OOC: Wot. She can squish things with her mind. Three post cooldown to do it again.]

OOC: I apologize for the delay >.< RL Merik’s slashes dug into the monster’s leg, piercing the brittle armor over and over, but it ignored the pain as its swing continued its arc, however, the massive blade was countered as the heavy magic impacted it dead on, the energy swirling as it grinded against the weapon.
The energy detonated and blew the blade back, straining the beast’s strength as it fought to keep its grip, while Fane’s arm was damaged from his own energy.
This proved a useful distraction as the Minish climbed along its back, for while it was invisible, it could still be felt lumbering up the monster’s back, yet its fight to keep its weapon held it at bay while the tiny being began slashing and tearing, stabbing into it trying to find something to damage, yet what it did was quickly overwritten as a massive pressure overwhelmed the creature’s senses.
The Oocca female concentrated her Telekinesis, shoving the beast down. Mentally she may have imagined squishing it like a pancake, but against the sand, it sank. Deeper and deeper down, where it merely covered his knees, it now began to rise up to its waist and soon its chest, Steel Fist’s arms, shoulders, and head the only parts of its body remaining above ground level.
Steel Fist roared, swinging its arms wildly as it was trapped within the ground itself. It reached up with its free hand and grabbed the Minish, throwing her to the sand. With its axe still barely in its ground, it attempted to hit the Human again.
Yet both of these attacks paled as the crown attached to its helmet glowed a bright white, its roar increasing in volume until suddenly energy beams shot into the ground around it and swirled in a spiral format, expanding outwards and raising into the sky, threatening all of the warriors, even the Oocca.

Merik growled in irritation as the damned beast proved quite determined to remain alive despite the group's efforts. Luckily his reflexes had been sharpened since he had gained the Pegasus Boots and he quickly ripped Frostfire free and jumped back as the giant was forced further into the sand. As he dashed back to gain a little room the energy hit the sand and began to spiral outwards.
Alright that'll make it just a little bit trickier...[/color] he thought as he took in the way the beams were moving.
Taking a few more steps back he burst forward and at just the right moment jumped, narrowly dodging the beams as he landed and proceeded back to Steel Fist. Once he was close enough he jumped and stabbed down, putting all his weight behind it in hopes of stabbing through the monster's helm and into it's skull.
COOLDOWNS: Desertfury and Icethrower have cooled down, Dodge has been used and now has 3 turns to cooldown.

The blast repelled Fane back onto the sand, and as he struggled to keep his sanity in check, he used his undamaged arm to quickly grip his sword that was ledged within the Giants leg. Tugging as quickly as he could, and exerting all of his strength, he managed to pull the blade free from the monster as it quickly began being smashed down into the sand.
Pulling the blade free, he lowered his mangled hand to Aarondite, the bones broken and blood spewing from his knuckles. "Aaaaaah!" Letting out a bloodcurdling scream, Fane drew forth Aarondite and held the pain at bay. He had no strength in his hand, however as the beasts arm flung out wildly, he took a direct impact from it in the chest.
Aarondite's ability was activated. With Greer's blade in his good hand, he clashed Aarondite with the full force arm swing. The magic from the blade would sap a minor amount of health from the giant, and hopefully repair from of the bones in Fane's body.
Even so, his clashing style with the beast was not anything that held power. Flying back and tumbling through the sand, he eventually came to a halt about 30 yards away. Slowly getting up, he rubbed sand from his eyes and shook his head. "Damnit."
He wasn't even close to being out for the count however. Getting up, he saw the same attack as last time, the one he tried to protect Kinsley from. Dashing forth, he used Greer's blade to attempt and strike the source of the light before the beams shot out. He had a feeling he wouldn't even come close to reaching the source however.

The Giant tossed Kinsley aside as she were a insect, fortunately, it choose not crush her like one. She manage to land on the soles of her leather boots, though not as graceful as she had hoped. But before she could be upset with the serve lacking of elegance in her landing, the behemoth was flailing it arms with careless abandon.
She looked up at it with a raised eyebrow, puzzled by the tantrum it was throwing. She giggled at was looked like an attempt to free itself from the sands. But soon the humor she quickly found, disappeared moments sooner, when beam of light began to spiral around it, reaching surface and air.
The vixen knew at first she needed to avoid the energy beams. It shouldn't be to difficult, as the light this time, unlike before, moved in a patten. She simple moved herself inside of the spiral. If successful, she can travel within them, reach the giant and try to attack him with her rapier. Seems like a plan.

It’s nice to have wings sometimes, especially when ridiculous monsters decide to flail about and attack the universe in general with energy beams and sand spray. She didn’t think her twist of rage would be all that effective, but was pleasantly surprised that it had in fact worked. But now came the hard part: avoiding blasts of energy so she could stay alive long enough to figure out who needed healing assistance the most. She can turn on a rupee in midair, but what Scheherazade is good at is enduring the cruel winds long enough to make it to her goal.
So she flips and turns, wings spread out and tilting to dive even the most stubborn of the blast wave. It isn’t hard to avoid, just a quick flight to keep ahead of the spiral’s edge. But on the upside, at least the ugly thing was now completely stationary and a sitting duck for the melee combatants. It was at times like this where she wished she had a bow of some sort. Instead she simply focuses on saving her own skin for the moment.

The Gerudo and Minish charged towards the beast even as it retaliated, ironically damaging itself, as the Human it knocked away sapped more of its life with his defense, ignoring its attacks and finding itself slashed by the female’s blade, and followed immediately by the King’s sword, stabbing into the creature’s skull.
A roar erupted as the damage did its toll, the weapon sinking deeper and deeper into the helm with each second until lights erupted from every hole, though these dealt no damage. The sand rumbled and shook, waves of the sand pulling inwards again, mysteriously being drawn to the center, until the why was finally revealed as the helm itself disappeared in a flash.
Falling to the ground, Merik, numerous rupees, and a white piece of metal landed atop the plume of sand.
The air seemed calm, the winds more gentle. All the world seemed to relax as the memory of the monster’s presence was forgotten by all except the living that were involved.
Steel Fist had been defeated. [Merik has been selected as the MVP of the battle and has earned the shard at his feet. More information on Shards and how everyone else can receive them will be revealed soon. Merik and Fane have received 75 Rupees, while Kinsley and Scheherazade received 50. Please simply grab your Rupees and Exit. Congratulations to everyone, and hope to see you all in the plot as time goes on~]

As the battle came to a halt, Fane sheathed his weaponry and gathered his rupees. With his torn arm badly damaged, he decided he would go ahead and travel back with Kinsley. He took a beating, one worse than hers, but put up a fight that was quite commendable. Making his way over to Kinsley, he frowned and bit his lip in pain.
"Lets go. You can treat me back at the tavern?"
It was a rhetorical question. His friend would surely do that for him.

Merik smirked as the beast finally collapsed, following the glowing metal shard as it landed. Quickly pocketing the shards and some of the rupees he turned to look at the other man.
"Or you could allow me to treat you all. You've helped defend my land and its the very least I can do." he said kindly as he looked the others over. "Unless you'd rather head out for less sandy locales...?"
Whether they chose to join him or not, he played his flute and summoned the whirlwind that was Desertfury once more. It was past time to return home and find out what was going on.

"Well, well." she said, as she keeled down and reached for the scattered rupees in sand around her. Her gloved hands plucked them from the sand and placed them into her sack that was tied to her hip. "I guess stalking you was worth it." She smiled warmly at Fane from her kneeling position on sand.
Her eyes turned to the other male in their group; Although she had some interest in his proposal, she had something else to do this moment.
"Sorry, I'll have to take this fragile man here with me. But I'll gladly come sometime. Another day." She risen off the floor, neared Fane, and pulled him by his injured arm, back to the tavern.
