Fane died, this is the explanation and new profile of how he came back to life. Its all plot related. A question I do have, is since Zolanius took Greer's Blade, will he have to post an update or is he not allowed to actually keep the blade? I'd prefer he does until I take it back, or w/e. PERSONALITY, [blockquote]Positive Although good, Fane' actions may show him as an enemy at times. This is because he can be seen as an antihero, and he represents an amorality in both actions and beliefs. Fane is most well compared to a lost and obscured man who was stuck in the world of hate and tribulation. Although his persona gives him a mysterious appearance, and a somewhat kind and gentle one at the same time, Fane does not ever reveal his past to anyone, as he finds it pointless and he believes that the more others know about you, the more weaknesses you exploit. When confronted at first he usually keeps an emotionless face and keeps quiet for most parts, he is not shy and he does speak, he just finds it best to stay quiet.
Fane has an almost bi-polar mind set, however not literally, but in the seance that he has powerful emotions such as rage and sorrow that can change extremely quickly. When Fane gets mad, he gets mad, their isn't a 'working your way to getting mad', it goes from down to up in a few seconds; and when angered he gathers all the hatred, sorrow, and feelings from his past and he focuses it into his enemy, however he keeps a restrain on his body, never making a foolish move. He has a large amount of control over his emotions, which means he may feel them, but he does not allow them to control or affect his actions.
Fane acts upon intelligence and reasoning. He is a very complex person to the eye, an he is indeed one. He never could be a simple person, due to his history that shrouds his allies with mystery and wonder. Although he may act on intelligence and reasoning, he does occasionally make a foolish mistake and lets his anger and sorrow consume him, however this is only occasionally; and he has 'lost the will to cry'. He never breaks down before anyone, simply because he has not the ability. He has cried his share of tears in his past, and believes it is now his time to stay strong, and prevent another person from going through and enduring what he endured. Although he might not cry and he may always obtain his cool when the sorrow and anger does consume him, he tries his boniest to be alone, so others don't see it.
Kindness is not a common show that many believe Fane portrays, in fact they usually see him as the opposite of kind, especially to strangers. While he may be reclusive and sarcastic to strangers, or even friends, Fane has a truly good heart and would help anyone in extreme peril, and he comes off with his sarcasm as a joke, unless directed to enemies. If a women was caught in a blazing fire, or if a man was about to die or has been caught in slavery, Fane feels he has no choice but to step in. He will not, however, result to saving a man worthy of his pain and misfortune. If someone killed someone else, or raped someone else and is now suffering, Fane will go as far as killing them himself, seeing to it that they do not deserve his attention, and should suffer in pain. Also, if two are dueling, he believes that he should not interfere. He does his job because he has things he himself must take care of, his family and sickly brother, for without the money he brings in doing his job, they would die from hunger, or starvation. When it comes to situations however, Fane puts his family first, and thus has earned the title 'The Stray Dog', because his alliance is never sure and he seems to 'Stray' between decisions, being able to commit actions of an ice cold heart, all for his family. The Dog section is inserted because although he does illegal trade with bombs and potions, he does not put himself with the thieves and also does side jobs, helping knights catch other thieves. Thus they call him a dog; together, he is now known as 'The Stray Dog'. Among this however is Fane's belief as shown in his quotes, that upon the battlefield your allies must come first, and they also receive consequences from your own actions.

HISTORY, [blockquote] Keeping his history to himself, few actually learn of how things came to be for Fane, and why he is in his current situation. Growing up in Castle Town was average, sneaking into the Tavern and making it into the castle a few times. Never did he make it far, however he made it past the gates every now and then; fear kept him from travelling any farther, fear of being caught and punished. When he was older, around the age of nine, his mother gave birth to his younger sister, Elaine. Elaine was sick from birth, and his father travelled out into the land to try and find a type of cure. While about on her journey, she died from Goblin like creatures, killed by a score of arrows.
After that, Lerine, his mother, began working full time and Fane was left to watch his brother. The years went quick, and within the town an old mercenary had befriended Fane. It was a good friendship, despite age, and he would teach Fane every now and then the basics of swordsmanship. His younger brother was never a friend, and the boy had a hard time getting them due to the strange appearance he held. Doctors claimed it to be from a condition he was born with, however it is so rare and unheard of they hold no information about it. The white hair and violet eyes was the only feature they could notice really, besides poor eye-sight. It was not in the sense of extremely poor, he just did not have the full vision a normal person would have.
Adolescence: As he began to grow older, the Mercenary would teach Fane to make illegal bombs and potions; why, though, he could never tell. The mercenary has remained unnamed to everyone except Fane, and he never reveals the name and never will. The man did eventually die of old age, but luckily by the time he did Fane had gained a good lot of knowledge, and was able to begin his work.
He spent these days and still does, travelling out within the lands in the Lanayru Province, occasionally going farther, to slay animals for hides. The income he makes has been put towards his family and finding a cure for his brother, although lately his brother has been slipping farther and farther away. Among Fane' travels he encountered a blade known as Aarondite, and picked it up. Using it outside the town, he soon began realizing its powers and potential, and Valen began contacting him mentally. They formed a sort of bond, although Fane claims to hate the spirit for its disgusting lust for blood. Valen was a demonic spirit, or Poe, that had been an extremely powerful warrior in his past life. When he died, his extreme Anger and hatred at the world caused him to become a poe, and he sealed himself into the blade Aarondite to gain an advantage in possessing the next wielder.
AdulthoodValen would tap into Fane and at first guide his hands in the killing and fights with monsters, goblins, and other hunters outside until he got the hang of the blade; even now though Valen gives mental instruction. Because Fane only does the illegal trade for the good money to help his family, he is not an actual thief or a criminal by nature, and actually dislikes thieves to a great extent. Because of this, Fane has become almost a double-agent of types, acting against thieves and criminals. Many of the knights actually know of his current situation, as they are the only ones, and he often times will make deals with them; helping them catch criminals and such whenever they need it, in exchange for them to turn a blind eye to his work. He keeps his work as a secret one, so in actuality knights have little proof that he is doing such a crime as selling illegal bombs and potions. Another thing he does is he hires mercenaries often to aide in the slaying of several monsters, or strong ones.
During a quest, Fane was planning to slay a monster located in the far north. On his way, he met up with a mage, a Hylian, actually, named Vlaed. This was When Fane learned of his second stage when using the Aarondite. The battle was long, as the mage wanted to take Fane' belongings. When a magical field had been placed around the made, he began casting a spell. The move was genius, and Fane was open to the attack, with no defense. That was when Valen took over, and the second stage came. Punching into the shield, Fane, or Valen, depending on your outlook, began choking the man with a single hand. Meanwhile the Demonic aura that Valen set off caused the shield of magic to ripple and burn his skin. Killing the mage by choking him, Fane returned to normal and learned of the power. The Stray Dog realized the full potential Valen had, and although he had liked it slightly, he called it a curse.
After years of adjustment to Valen, eventually the cursed spirit began to fade. Fighting for control of Fane’s body, the two began internally warring each other. However, Fane had a stronger spirit then Valen, and was able to fully suppress the spirit out of his body for good by strong will. During this situation, Valen’s knowledge and abilities faded into Fane’s. With Valen gone, and his abilities as good as ever, Fane was now able to freely do his job and have complete control over his body at all times, an ability that has been taken for granted by many people before.
Fane fought during the catastrophe that hit Hyrule alongside Kulau and several others. Killing the Dark Knight Greer, he obtained his blade and moved onto to the next challenge. When the Jotun and its possessor attack Castle Town, Fane and Kulau eliminated the monster. Becoming the head of the Monster Hunter Guild, he soon began his recruitment. It was not long before the Guild died off however, and Fane had more important matters to attend to. With Kulau attacked and injured, he took off in search of the Raven Shade, eventually finding him at Ordana. It was a quick battle that actually killed Fane. His will was strong enough to keep his Poe there though, and he absorbed himself into Aarondite. After the funeral, Valen and Fane unwillingly merged souls. While Fane remained the dominant spirit, Valen became apart of him, and they set off as a single poe, breaking free of Aarondite, to find Valens body.
Once they located it, they used the extension of their energy and retook his body, something Valen had spent hundreds of years preparing for and building up magical energy for. With this energy exhausted, the body was renewed and Fane became a new being altogether.
