PERSONALITY,What is there to say about Link that isn’t obvious? Link is a quiet, reserved person who prefers to let his actions speak for him over his words. Most people mistake him for mute because of this. Despite this tendency he is actually really friendly, even around strangers, and can be very likeable. Link is a very talented young man who can play practically any instrument he picks up naturally. He smiles easily and is quick to step forward and help people whenever necessary, even with the little things.
Which leads directly into the biggest defining trait Link has: he is heroic. Yes, heroic and everything that entails. Especially courageous. He is not one to sit and listen to advice when there is something that can be done. He’ll act out of instinct without much thought, and his instinct rarely leads him astray. He can be quite stubborn in this way, too, refusing warning and other such devices when he should really listen to them. The funny thing about this is Link is very capable and resourceful, as well, so the stubbornness may lead him into trouble, but it’s rarely something he can’t handle.
APPEARANCE,
FARMHAND LINK Link has two basic attires. The first is his day-to-day clothing, what he wears while he’s working on the farm. This outfit consists of very simple and functional white pants as well as a white sleeveless tunic. Around his waist is an blue sash held onto by another orange sash tied at his side. His wrists are bound with tape and he wears a leather sleeve over his left shoulder, held by a belt that wraps around him. Finally there is a pouch slung at his hip and he wears a comfortable pair of leather-bound sandals.
TRAVELLING LINK Whenever Link is to leave Ordon Village he typically wears something a little more distinctive and practical for the road. The most recognizable feature of this outfit is the green tunic and hat. Under this tunic he wears a set of chainmail and a white undershirt. Slung across his back is his sword, shield and his bow and arrow and around his left forearm is a leather guard. The rest of his stuff is carried in a pouch that hangs off the belt around his waist just on the small of his back. Finally his pants are white and tuck into a pair of leather boots.
In either outfit some things are consistent, namely his messy blonde hair, blue eyes and sharp features. His ears are pointed, showing his Hylian heritage, and his face is very angular.
WEAPONS,SWORD
Link’s sword is rather unremarkable. Truth be told it’s only a loaner he borrowed from Rusl to help stave off bandits and wolves and other such bad things from the ranch. While the sword itself is well-made and reliable, it doesn’t hold up to something like the Master Sword or even the Ordon Sword.
BOW AND ARROW
A farmhand is nothing without his trusted bow and arrow. Link keeps this particular weapon on him at all time, even when tending to the ranch. You never know when you’ll spot a wolf sneaking in across the field and don’t have time to chase it off. Link is quite adept with this bow and rarely misses his mark.
ITEMS,ORDON SHIELD
Link carries with him a very simple wooden shield, emblazoned with the symbol of Ordon Village. There isn’t much special about the shield: it functions exactly as one expects a shield to, and is vulnerable to fire attacks. Such items can easily be picked up in Ordon Village by anyone.

MAGIC SUPERIORITY[/i][/size]
A lot of talk goes around about the genetic superiority of Hylians, but in actual fact they’re relatively frail compared to the other races in terms of physical attributes; the difference is not extreme, but is just noticeable. They are, however, very gifted in terms of magic, and their abilities are better suited to general use than other, more specialized magical races. All Hylians are not the same: there are three separate magical powers, of which a Hylian is born with one (this is genetically random, but out-of-character, you get to choose which ability you get):
- MAGICAL GUARDIAN
All magical damage the Hylian receives is lowered (decreased by a half-level), and they gain access to a Magic Block, which mimics the regular block save that it blocks magical damage instead of physical. While using Magic Block, all damage received that turn is treated as magical damage.[/li][/ul][/blockquote]
HISTORY,
Link’s history is shrouded with mystery. As far as he’s concerned he’s always lived in Ordon Village. That was where his parents gave birth to him and that was where they were when they passed away. Of course that, too, is a mystery. No one in Ordon Village seems to know what happened to Link’s parents, but that one day they were gone and Link was left with their money and home for himself, and all that came with it.
Not one to sit and do nothing, Link too it upon himself to make something of his life. From a young age be began to help out around Ordon Ranch, doing various chores for Fado in his youth. As he grew up the work got harder and the pay got higher, until finally Link would be considered a full-fledged farmhand. As he grew, too, Link became friends with the horse Epona, who Fado lent to him to use to herd goats and plough the fields and so forth. All in all it was a pretty typical life.
While working about the village Link also became fast friends with the other children, Ilia, the mayor’s daughter, and Colin, a shy boy who looks up to Link. In fact Link often protects Colin from the taunting and mockery of the other children in the village, acting out of that heroic nature of his. When all is said and done, Link’s history is rather common outside of the mysterious origins. He works even now as a farmhand, having become almost as competent as Fado himself after all these years of working there.

Link is still only a farmhand on Ordon Ranch and thus doesn’t have any abilities yet.
