Balian has long brown hair with two bangs hanging down the sides of his face and a short pony-tail which is tied with red ribbon down his nape. The shape of Balian's face is a little bit V-shape and has a scar across at the left side of his lips, he received it during the civil war in Peak Province.
In his noble clothing or free from his duty, Balian wears white cotton-made shirt long-sleeves with pointed collars. He also wears a black leather sleeveless vest, sometimes he buttons it and sometimes he don't. As for his lower body, Balian wears a long black breeches and medieval-style leather boots. When he goes for a journey around Hyrule, Balian puts on his hooded clothing as his outer clothing and there's a cape hanging down on his left shoulder.
Mail and Surcoat x Templar Armor
When on duty, quests or jousting competition, Balian wears chainmail as his armor, a brown surcoat and red sash around his waist. He wears mail mittens or leather gloves and a pair of leather boots or plate mail boots on foot. Sometimes, Balian wears on his Templar armor set including plated spaulders, breastplates, gauntlets and mail gloves. Depends on his choice for headgear, Balian either can wear on a great helm or a nasal helm with mail coif.

Clarity of Ibelin
The family longsword of Ibelin that is passed down to Balian after he became a knight and led the Ibelin knights. The blade is forged from mithril, with pommel and crossguard plated in a rich sterling silver. The most unique aspect of the Clarity of Ibelin is the translucent red cross imbedded in the pommel. The handle featured a real hardwood grip with both leather and wire accents.
Crusader's Dagger
A typical medieval dagger. Balian used it either for dual-wielding, close combat or stealth kill.
Shortbow and arrows
Not just swordsmanship, Balian is also adept in bows and arrows.
Kite Shield of Templar
Balian have this iron kite shield since his first day as a Templar, he often slung it behind his back.

HISTORY,
Early Life
Balian was born in Lanayru Province. The House of Ibelin is a noble human family and Balian's father Godfrey is a veteran human knight who served Hyrule Kingdom for years. Since as a child, Balian have been taught arts of war and combat by his father's old friend who is a Hylian Knight. At the age of 12, Balian became the squire of the Hylian Knight and often accompanied him on several quests. Balian became a knight at the age of 18 but during that time, Balian's mother died due to a serious illness.
Civil War At The North
The House of Ibelin have a very long feud with the House of Sverkersson who lived in Peak Province and the Sverkersson planned an assassination on Godfrey of Ibelin. When he was still in Lanayru Province, Balian heard that his father were ambushed and killed by a group of Sverkersson knights. Since after he inherited the sword of Ibelin and the the title as a baron, Balian led his knights and men-at-arms to Peak Province in order to capture the house leader of Sverkersson, Brendan Sverkersson. The Sverkersson also branded as traitors by Hyrule after Godfrey's assassination and any of it's members are marked for treason.
Forces of Ibelin and Sverkersson clashed in Peak Province during "The Civil War of the North".
The civil war had claimed several lives of both Ibelin and Sverkersson knights, but Balian almost reached to his victory as the Sverkersson were outnumbered. The civil war lasted almost a year and Brendan was killed by Balian after he refused to yield and surrender, the young baron's vengeance have been quenched.
Crusade in Desert Province
Balian's exploits became the whispers and news around Hyrule. A group of knights approached Balian and seek his help. These men were known as Templars, a group of independent knights who seeking help to fight against a villainous sorcerer and his dark forces in Desert Province. The Templars saw there is a great potential within Balian and he is qualified to become one of them. Interestingly Balian agreed and left Lanayru to join the Templars.

Balian and the Templars fought against the sorcerer and his dark forces in Desert Province with the help of Gerudo warriors, this war is also known as Crusade of Desert Province. Balian finally killed the sorcerer during the confrontation and the dark forces were crumbled, the victory of the Templars and Gerudo warriors was a great triumph.
Return to Lanayru
Since after the crusade, the Templars have been dissolved and every one of them return to their normal life. Balian rode his horse back to Lanayru Province and continued to lead the House of Ibelin.
