AURORE MARIA RENOIRE
a twisted fairy tale
RACE,Fairy
GENDER,Female
BATTLE ROLE,Healer
BATTLE STYLE,Story
AGE,Nineteen
ALLIANCE,None
PERSONALITY,
★ clever ★Aurore is a smart girl, who weaves a web of politics wherever possible. Life is all about gaining the upper hand. She's quick to notice changes in others' emotions and even quicker to react accordingly to them, fading into whichever emotion is required for the occasion. Aurore knows when to laugh, when to cry, when to remain silent - she knows how to survive.
★ level-headed ★It's not easy to faze Aurore - in fact, few have ever seen her with a surprised expression on her features. Aurore is not one to act readily on her emotions - she's not like those who control their minds with their hearts. She'll do the logical thing, even if it's not what her heart tells her.
★ survivor ★Some may claim this to be a band thing, but Aurore sees it as an advantage. She's willing to do whatever it takes to survive. She'll lie and cheat and steal and kill, forget whatever 'loyalties' she may have promised before. Her life is the only one she values in the end, and she'll step on others' backs to come out of life alive.
★ charming ★Full of coquettish smiles and high-pitched giggles, Aurore pretends to be a lover of people, and people love her in turn. She’s got an endless supply of cheek and harmless fun, often teasing her friends with a flighty grin playing on her lips. When life is all about the social politics, it's not hard to pretend to love people one hates.
Negative
★ careless ★Aurore's careless with everything - people, relationships, items. Everything's replaceable, in her mind; growing attached to things is silly, in a world where nothing lasts forever. She's rarely seen to be devoted to any person at all, and she'll stab their backs if it means something's in it for her.
★ apathetic ★Aurore doesn't believe in getting tangled in others' businesses, unless it may involve her later in the future - and even then, it's only if it'll benefit her. Don't bother crying out for help if it's Aurore you see - she'll only wave with a charming smile on her face, and continue on her merry way. Life is about the survival of the fittest; she'll see to that.
★ sadistic ★It's not one of Aurore's most charming or noticeable of traits, but it's there, alright. There's nothing that gives her more pleasure than seeing an opponent shriek in pain, and once she sees their blood, she's consumed with a maddening urge to see more. Even if it's not physical pain, Aurore finds a sort of sick fascination in others' hurt.
★ selfish ★Words like 'charity' don't exist in Aurore's vast vocabulary. Everything she does will have an underlying reason, even if it's simply picking up a fallen object for someone. She hates wasting her energy on people she won't gain anything in return from - so she probably won't.
★ flaky ★Aurore doesn't have anything like 'long-term' goals. Because who knows how her world and situation will change in five years, in ten? Aurore doesn't have any set loyalties, and she'll be quick to turn her back on something if she's lost the upper hand. Simply because she likes to lessen the guilt she may feel, Aurore rarely makes promises - she can't break any promises if she never makes them, hm?
APPEARANCE,Aurore, with her pale porcelain skin and dainty features, looks more like a doll than human - then again, considering her fairy lineage, it's not so surprising. She has thin limbs and stands petite at 5'2". She has a pair of brilliant, electric sapphire eyes, framed by dark lashes, giving her eyes a larger appearance than reality. She has a thin nose and pale mauve lips.
Aurore wears a silk white ribbon in her hair at all times, as it keeps it neat. She likes to wear dresses, often without backs, as to allow her wings freedom of movement. Most often, she'll be found in a simple black dress, a satin sash around her waist, ending above her knees. Aurore gives an appearance of being taller than she really is from her lean legs and the heels she wears.
WEAPONS,★ Two (2) small daggers, about as long as her hand, with ornate silver handles.
ITEMS,None.
ABILITIES,★ PentagonAfter charging two units of magic energy (takes up a post), five small white disks ( a foot radius ) appear, rotating about the user. Each of these can deal one level of damage, prevent one level of damage, or heal one level of damage. Each time a disk is used takes up an action slot. (Disks can be used together - as long as they are used at the same time for the same purpose (i.e. damage, heal, or prevent), on the same target, it will count as a single action slot. A maximum of 3 disks used at once.) [3 post cooldown]
★ BuffNot including herself, all of her allies gain a buff-up. It causes those affected to be able to deal / heal one more level of damage than usual. [1 action slot, 3 post cooldown]
RACIAL ABILITIES,
White Magic
All fairies have some degree of control over a naturally abiding white magic, powered by an internal source of energy.
★ Flight
★ ChargeSpends one action slot to charge up a single unit of white magic energy.
★ HealHeal one level of damage.
★ DamageDeal one level of damage.
★ ShieldPrevent one level of damage in the next round.
★ White BallSwitch into a white ball form. In that form, the fairy is extremely agile and can’t be harmed by physical damage, but also cannot use any offensive skills; it costs three levels of energy for the fairy to change back, and they are automatically knocked out of the white ball form if they take more than two levels of magical damage.

HISTORY,
"Is that my little sister?" were perhaps the first words young Aurore Maria Renoir heard as she entered the world. Born into a wealthy family of two fairies and the youngest child in a sibling-hood of herself and an older brother, Aurore was treated as the precious baby of the family. The darling girl with a darling laugh and a darling personality, she was the doll with the silver hair and sapphire eyes, the girl who would become the sun around the rest of her family danced about.
She lived a sheltered life within the safety of her family's manor, with her brother, five years her senior. She often wondered why she would see other children march off the school whilst her brother remained at home with private tutors, but never thought enough to question so.
When she reached the age of eight, she realized just what was wrong with her picture-perfect family.
Her brother's body was marred, or so he believed. He did not have the use of his legs - his legs were there physically, but he could not move them. He could fly but he could not walk. Fairies did fly, but not every moment of their lives - a large fraction of their lives was used, in fact, walking.
And her brother, the beautiful boy who taught her how to read and count and sing, could not walk. He could not hold her hand and take her for walks, he could not run and play with his friends as others his age did. He was a cripple.
And though Aurore did not know, drowned in her familial love for her dear brother, he was not as kind as he acted towards her. He did not love her as much as she loved him - in fact, he hardly cared for her at all. He did not want to sit there and teach her how to read or write or sing, he did not want to talk to her, he did not want to see her at all.
Because this girl had everything he had ever wanted.
She had the perfect family and the money to make all her dreams come true and the lovely house atop the lovely hill. True, he had these things too. But when Aurore came into the world, it was as if she'd swept all these things into her own arms and left him with nothing but his ugly body that would not work.
And on her sixteenth birthday, the dam burst, and her lovely ribbon was torn to pieces by the enraged boy who could not walk. Her neck had been next, until her parents had walked in.
Aurore grieved and shook in terror.
But it was not her brother who faced the consequences, but her.
"He's such a misunderstood boy, darling-"
"He can't walk-"
"But you two can't live in the same place-"
"Do you understand what we're saying, sweetheart?"
They called her sweetheart, but they were chasing her away from her crystal castle.
And Aurore left, with all of her lovely items and into an equally lovely home, funded by her parents. But she could not help but to feel as though she had lost everything.
