Nothing brought the sweet feeling of tranquility upon the Twilight Sovereign like gazing at the glorious skies above her. Her scarlet eyes glanced up at the ever changing colors, how the dark dusty shades appeared as if melting, melding into the gold from high above their heads. Never changing, consistent, and never betraying the placid flow of time transcending the passage of peace that once lingered in her beautiful realm. Purity at it's finest is what she saw within her people. Perhaps it was because of this said peace that she became aware of the instability it brought upon her people. A balance of sorts had been breached, and it cause for wary.
Midna would admit, she did not expect a change quite a dramatic, in turns of recent events. However there was no going back now since her mind is made up. Too many things were left unanswered, and it was quite clear that frustration would more than justify the blue skinned woman's dominant emotion. Unfortunately, feelings would have to be put aside, if only on the surface to gather an audience with her Twili.
Her orders were simple: all shall gather at the palace at the request of the Sovereign, who'll hold a "press conference" of sorts. The reason behind it? It was quite simple actually. To disclose not only the information she had be given prior to this event, but also discuss about the Realm of Light. Midna made it clear in her request about mentioning the other realm to pique her subject's attention. Everyone was invited to this mass gathering, messengers, servants, it mattered not.
After all, what good was a ruler, if she did not listen to her people? She could not control everyone under her thumb, but to each their own, free will. She was rather excited for the most part on how this would all turn out~ What kind opinions shall be brought forth from this grand meeting? Once everything has been laid on the table for her people, it would be up to them on what they want to do.
She could not bend the will of others to do as she pleased, but the least she could do was offer them words of precaution. She would have to inform them, give them the warning about returning to the other dimension, you know~ Just details that had to be explained before letting them go about their own devices, whatever it is they intend on.
Midna stood outside of the Palace of Twilight tapping her feet against the dark stone pavements. A small crowd had already gathered about, waiting anxiously for their leader to begin. No. Not yet~ There were still more twili out there yet to arrive.

One Twili who was not "yet to arrive" was the young Vix. Rather than that he had arrived sooner than anyone who wasn't already at the castle, flying to this very spot as a Shadow Beast once he had gotten word from his sources that Princess Midna's newest address mentioned the Light Realm somehow. The details were unknown but Vix could hardly care about that. It was the Twilight Princess herself, if any details at all about the other dimension came to light then he absolutely had to be here.
The boy, still short and slightly chubby as he hadn't yet grown old enough to reach the elongated proportions of adult Twili, stood enraptured in the front line of the crowd. He never took his pure red eyes off of Midna save to blink or if someone conversed with him briefly. The teenager wanted to be patient, really he did, but it was hard. He had braced himself for a long, difficulty journey. He anticipated possibly years of seeking out the smallest possible clues to the other Realm's existence. Midna's conference, though he knew nothing of it's true contents, would likely confirm at least one thing: Whether or not the other dimension actually existed at all. If it confirmed that in the negative then Vix would lose all hope and reason to live as far as he was concerned. But, dare he hope, it confirmed the opposite then what other specifics might he learn? How much closer to his goal might he become?
Vix once again grasped his left hand over his right to stop it from shaking in anticipation. If the Light Realm mention turned out to be nothing but an empty whim to garner interest in a speech then he was definitely going to suffer some sort of stress-induced shock but he'd worry about that later. Right now he had to focus on not rushing up to the Twilight Princess and begging her to tell him what she knew right now. The mental effort that required was greater than expected. He supposed that dangling such immediate and official-looking hope right in front of a boy who had only just begun to resign himself to a struggle of incalculable time was enough to make almost anyone's willpower waver, and he was much younger than most people who would be in that situation.
The Seeker of Light took deep breaths to refocus his mind. He had to think calmly and not get too excited about this until he knew what was going on. Terezi has sent a heads-up early notice to him about the conference as soon as she'd heard about it, a little before the official message itself actually reached his home. The redhead hadn't seen her here yet but perhaps she would come join him in the crowd if official duties didn't preoccupy her. The Light Realm was the mutual interest by which they knew each other, after all.

It didn't take long for word to get by Faylla. Her long lashes fluttered at the mention of her leader's name, and the mention of the Realm of Light. It was quite a subject starter when you bring it up somehow. The kind of viewpoints you got when the very word was brought up: foreign, different, and overall, a place with a not-so-pleasant past with the Twili's ancestors. Some have even began to question it's existence, after living within the twilight for so long, it had become nothing more than just a story. That was what Faylla believed whilst growing up as well. She didn't think much of it. However this conference had gotten her attention, and soon enough questions began to form.
Thus she took off to have her questions answered. The meeting would be more than perfect for the confusion that needed to be cleared up for the Musician. Clarifications that would put her mind at rest so she would not be treading in the dark. Gathering her quiver, and bow, she made haste outer perimeter of the palace. It didn't take her long to figure out where the meeting was going to be held out. What, with a group already gathered, and her benevolent leader standing out amongst the crowd.
Her steps were graceful yet mild as far as sound went. She quietly found an open space close enough to the sovereign, but at the same time carefully inconspicuous should anyone try any funny business here. Fay would not allow anybody to lay a finger on the princess as she prepared to begin explaining the meaning behind this meeting. Her hair the color of sunlight hung loose in it's ponytail, as her golden locks fell across her twilit eyes. With as much patience as she could muster up, she quietly waited, eager to hear what Midna had to say.

Yaya glanced around at the crowd and her hands gripped the Princess' robe just a little more tightly. She wasn't afraid. Not at all. The Light Realm sounded bright and exciting and full of the color that the Twilight Realm just didn't have. She couldn't wait to go there~! But... what about Taya?
Concern for her little twin sister made her petite hands ball into fists, her twin tails bouncing as she looked up at her sovereign with large, worried crimson eyes. The young Twili was uncharacteristically serious for a change, and as she glanced around for Chataya, she found that the knots in her belly were just growing larger. She knew how the younger girl got when she or Midna weren't around, and Alyaya had thoughtlessly just dashed off to the Princess' side when she heard there was conference. She had left her practically catatonic sister behind.
She wanted nothing more than to go back and search for the girl, but she was already here and clinging to her Sovereign. If she just left, then wouldn't that look like she was afraid? And Yaya wasn't afraid of anything, and she certainly didn't want to make it look like she was.
The teen took in a deep breath and grinned at the Princess, pushing aside her worries for the moment. Hopefully Chataya was close enough to them that she wouldn't go on a murderous ramage... hopefully. And if she did go on a murderous rampage, then Yaya had automatic permission to go to her sister's side, so everything would be all right. Right?
So she bounced a little in excitement and her smile grew wider as she gazed at the Sovereign. "So, Princess, what's this all about~?"

One by one, she watched as her twili began to emerge from the darkness, and into the soft glow the twilight provided. It pleased her so that her subjects heeded the Sovereign's request. Her crimson eyes flashed a light of joy finding one of her Messengers around, dutiful, and faithful Faylla discreetly placing herself amidst the crowd, but left enough space for her to monitor the area. She noticed soon enough one of the twin servants, Alyaya, by her side. Her carmine eyes flickered softly with mild concern of where the other one was, well aware of her murderous rampage as well~ Should anything happen, Midna will personally see to it that there will be no riots breaking out from this meeting. She patted Yaya's head softly to give her some assurance that everything will be fine for now.
"Ladies, and gentlemen, Twili of all ages," she announced, raising her hand up for not even a couple of seconds, to draw in the crowd's attention, "I have gathered you all here today to discuss important matters. Since you've all received my message, you know exactly what we're here to talk about."
Her scarlet eyes peered up to the twilight skies for a moment. Her lithe hands gesturing to the space around them. Soon enough her gaze returned back to her audience. She flashed them a fanged grin. "The Realm of Light," she stated as a matter of fact.
She allowed a moment of silence as the crowd looked at one another, murmuring, whispering, and overall eager to hear more.
"Yes, the very same realm our ancestors, the Dark Interlopers, were banished from, and born into this dimension, our brilliant race has emerged. I tell you no lie, my precious. The Light Realm exists~" she explained, getting straight to the point, "Long has been the generations has our race lived in peace, and tranquility. However a change of pace has risen in recent times, something I can't say for sure is for the best or worse. I digress~ I bring before you the opportunity to return back to the Realm of Light. That is if it is what you wish. I leave the choice up to each and everyone of you if you so desire to go."
Balling up her right hand into a fist for a second or two, she released the grip, and appearing floating within her hands was the Dark Mirror, a black disk with intricate runes upon them, she obtained from the stranger earlier before. "Our realm has been sealed off ever since our ancestor's banishment," she said starring at the mirror, "This little device, otherwise for a lack of a creative name, is called the Dark Mirror. It'll will allow us to and from the next dimension. This is not a one way ticket should that worry any of you, dearies. You're free to return home whenever you well please. However I must warn you~"
Her twilit eyes grew dark, and concern as she returned her glances back.
"Be wary on the other side. It may be rare, but should you run into those few who remembers our dark ancestors, take heed they will not welcome you kindly. There will be prejudice against our race, consider it alienation of sorts. My best advise is to not start anything with the Light dwellers~ However that is the least of your troubles. What you must take caution of more than anything is exposure to light in that realm. The light from their sun, and moon is harmful to us, which you must cloak yourself in shadows. The Shadow Veil was created for such purpose."
What she missing anything else? Oh yeah~ Explanation on how she obtained the mirror.
"A stranger sought an audience with me prior to this arrangement. He called upon me to help him prepare for a catastrophe neither realms have yet to see. What does it mean exactly? Your guess is as good as mine~ He was the very same person who provided this mirror to me that I bring before you all. I believe this is a sign for the twili to make their arrival announced back in the Light Realm."
Enough of her speaking~ She would now like to hear others voices in this matter. Glass of water would be nice right about now.
"Any questions?"

Vix assumed that Midna was saying something important after she told them there was a way into the Light Realm. He was of no mind to hear the sovereign's words, though. The Twilight Princess stating clearly that the dimension did indeed exist had been enough to fix the teenage boy's eyes wider than they'd ever been before and set his mind with a multitude of thoughts and questions. The following statement that she had a way into that realm, which she was also offering to anyone who wanted it, well that was just a follow-up punch that Vix wasn't entirely prepared for.
His entire life's plan, at least the part that he was actually capable of planning until he got to the Light Realm, was already over. He stared, seeing the Princess' mouth move but not hearing any sound. She had in her hand the way out of this horrible world. HIS way out! All the plans, the looking for allies, the mental preparation for a long road ahead, was all a colossal waste of time.
Vix couldn't be happier. Not until he was on the other side, at least.
The boy's red eyes finally dried up and forced him to blink, snapping the Twili's awareness back to reality. He was so overcome with relief and hope that he had actually been paralyzed with awe. He shouldn't be wasting any time! There was no telling how long it would take him to figure out if what he sought was actually in the other world or not. There could still be a lifetime of searching ahead was what his mind's conditioning advised him. Every second was precious and none were to be wasted.
What did Midna just ask? Questions? Did he have any questions?
"Can I go now?!" Vix practically yelled at his ruler from his position in the front. The teenager's wide-eyed expression and pleading voice both exuded such levels of desperation that it was utterly confusing to some of the people behind him. A lot of them were curious but worried or confused. This Twili, a child at that, wasn't just not hesitating but practically begging. This question was the only one that Vix had left in his mind now. Had she been there? What was it like? Were there any dangers(She had already advised them of that but as stated the boy hadn't absorbed it)? None of those things mattered to him right now, only the existence of his escape.
"Please!" Vix continued, daring to walk forward, though his emotional state made his steps shaky. He eventually settled for falling to his knees before the Princess, hoping it would be seen as an act of humility toward the sovereign. "Let me out of this place!"
Vix was practically in tears before Midna and a huge mass of people but he cared not for his pride right now. Vix never had any pride to speak of, too busy was he bemoaning the missing element from his life. He knew full well that the Twili were a passive people. If the Princess opened it up to questions they could be here for hours while they all thought things through, or at least until she decided it had been long enough. It had already been fourteen years to Vix and that was more than long enough from his perspective.

Why was the palace so large? Why was it so easy to get lost... separated from those closest to you?
Alyaya had fled so quickly once the news was announced. Chataya couldn't bring her feet to move any faster, thus leaving her behind and away from Alyaya. Just where did she rush off to? For living in the palace for a while, Chataya didn't really know her way around. She always just followed Alyaya. She never had a reason to pay attention to the directions and paths that they traveled. Not paying attention was proving to be quite a mistake. Chataya felt her heart begin to race. "Alyaya... sister... where are you?" With her rapier clenched in one fist, her other fist brought up to her chest, she allowed her boots to drag along the ground at a slow pace. Crimson eyes slowly scanned the hallways and passageways that she came across. The separation was growing too hard to handle.
Her pace quickened once she heard the Sovereign's voice. Wherever the Sovereign was, Alyaya would be. It sounded so close, yet so far... Chataya knew not where she was going. Her boots lifted fully from the ground as she began to run. Sweat formed on her brow, not from the running, but from anxiety. "Alyaya!" She screamed among Midna's voice. Luckily, the echoing was growing louder, so she must have been getting closer. After rounding a few more corners, she saw the reds and oranges of the twilight sky, and above all, the tall, lithe form of the Sovereign and the pink head of her sister.
Chataya clambered through the opened doors, approaching the Sovereign and her sister from behind them. Once she was by her sister's side, Chataya felt like she could breathe again. She spent the next few moments trying to regain her composure (if catatonic lethargy counted as "composure) while listening to the words of her Sovereign.
The Light Realm... Alyaya would no doubt be excited for this news, but Chataya... that was a whole different story. Chataya did not have a question, but more of a demand. Panic struck her heart again as she dropped her rapier, only to clutch onto the clothing of her dear sister. "Please!" she cried out, "Don't leave me, Alyaya!" Her trembling fingers dropped away from her sister, only to clutch onto Midna's robe. "Please say we won't be separated!" Chataya pleaded to the princess.
If they should be separated, those Light Realmers should start praying for some help.

Faylla quietly listened to Midna’s explanation all the way to the very end. Her eyes glowed with pure interest and curiosity of the confirmed existence of the Realm of Light. Sure, she’s had her thoughts about it possibly being real, but after hearing it come out of the Sovereign’s mouth, she didn’t need any further convincing that it must be true. Midna was giving her people the opportunity to return to the world that banished their ancestors way back when. To be perfectly honest, she wouldn’t mind herself taking a look at the strange new world. Regardless of the dangers, and cons that were laid before them about adventuring into that new realm. Or at least it was new to her.
“Hold your tongue boy!” Faylla hissed at Vix. Her eyes narrowed at the young impatient lad. She was not one who took kindly to adolescence, especially those who act out of place. Honestly, the boy held no dignity whatsoever begging right in front of their leader like a pathetic dog with his tail in between his legs. It was causing a scene most unfitting for this occasion. She looked back up to her leader, wanting to know what should be done, before things get out of hand.
“Wherever you go, I shall follow you as your faithful servant, your highness,” was all that she would say. She had no quarrels with anything or anyone so long as justice and order was upheld while she was around. “I have nothing more to say.”

Midna's eyes flickered with slight amusement taken a little by surprise. Did not expect that one coming, and from one so small. So fired up, and adamant about his desire without any regards of where he was begging to be set free from the bonds that chained him into this world. She wasn't sure whether she should admire his strong voice in the matter or amused on how foolish he looked. Either way, the poor dear was desperate, she did hope that at least her instructions were at least taken somewhat seriously. The Sovereign did not repeat her words so if he missed out the first time, then she would not be held responsible for any reckless actions in the future.
"Now now, Faylla~ No need to get testy," she said with a fanged grin. The Twilight Sovereign couldn't help but laugh at Faylla's outburst when the boy came front and begged her to let him go. She looked around towards the others, listening to the whispers, and discussions amongst one another on what should they do. She was very well pleased with Faylla's reply, always good to know she had a faithful servant, let alone a messenger to help her out. Such diligence was rather rewarding~
There's the other one, mused Midna. She felt the tug on her robes as the young girl clung for dear life onto the sovereign. A flickering endearment illuminated within the woman's crimson orbs as Chataya begged not to be separated. A pair of lithe slender hands found their way to caress Taya's cheeks lovingly. "You won't be separated from each other," she assured the young twili teen. She turned her gaze over to Alyaya and smiled. "Take her with you, there is safety in numbers. Now be good to your sister~"
After a small pause erupted into silence, she could only suppose there weren't any questions to answer. Perfect~! The quicker she could get this done the better. "Now that everything is settled~ Since nobody else has given any further questions or a voice in this matters, I guess it's time to open this cage, and set my little birds free," she chimed. Standing up straight, she merely waved her hand once, and right on cue, a Sol appeared before them floating in her hands.
With the Dark Mirror in one hand, and the Sol in the other, Midna flashed a devious smile before bringing them together, allowing the two items to connect. The dark disc sat on top of the Sol as Midna placed it onto the ground before it's magic disclosed. She arranged it perfectly aligned onto the surface of one of the palace walls. Soon enough a portal emerged from a flash of light, revealing the same vibrant colors she saw previously during her encounter with the gentleman in the tuxedo. The light was always brightest before the twilight path to dusk. This would mark in the passages will be but a stepping stone to something far more greater to come. Let it be~
Setting a good example for her people, she was the first to step towards the portal. Closing her eyes, her physical form began to break down into twilit particles, before flowing away into the the doorway that connected their world into the other. There she would be waiting for them on the other side.
The portal to the Light Realm is now open.

Faylla held back her tongue when Midna told her to be at ease. Perhaps she overreacted a bit, but she only acted out of doing her job. He was creating a shipping fuss due to his impatience, and she felt it was disturbing the public. She lowered her head quietly refraining from any further comments. Her long sunset yellow locks curtained over her face slightly as she clasped onto the handle of her bow. The boy didn't mean any harm so she could let the actions slide off of her shoulders.
The Musician could feel butterflies inside of her stomach when the moment of silence took over. Nobody else had any further questions or comments left, and it left Midna to decide it was time to open the portal. Her fingers felt like jello trying ot hold onto her bow as she watched. As silent as a mouse, but eyes as observant of a cat, watching as the portal revealed the other side. The Realm of Light.
Her eyes fluttered with awe. The young messenger did not know what to say or do at that moment. She had to bite her lip to convince herself that this was for real. She gave a quick prayer over the well-being of this journey. As soon as Midna disappeared through the portal, Fay would follow behind, following blindly as any good follower would of her princess. With a running start, she sprinted elegantly over to the portal, and took a leap of fate, disappearing onto the next dimension.

Vix was pleased that, either because of his distraction or by their own confusion, no other Twili really raised any questions about what Midna had presented. He watched with rapt attention as the Twilight Princess began the process of producing the portal. He gave the ruler some credit in addressing their realm as a cage. That was exactly how Vix had always seen it. Once it was formed the only thing keeping the teen from charging up and forcing his way through before even Midna did was the fact that, despite being talked down, the Twilight Messenger who's scolding he'd ignored would probably attack him or something. He couldn't get to the Light Realm if he was dead, after all. Once the Sovereign was through the woman in question followed her, beating the chubby younger Twili to it only by merit of her superior physical ability. He waited, not patiently but he waited, as the second of their dark congregation was whisked away into the only place in existence that held any hope for Vix at all. He was almost frozen by the overwhelming weight of it all and probably would have been were the call of achieving his goal not a fraction stronger than that feeling. Regardless he was not interesting in letting anyone else out of this place before he was. Vix highly doubted there existed another Twili would wanted it half as much as he did. Skidding to the portal just as soon as the last of Faylla's particles had been pulled through Vix stood ready and prepared himself. Black bits of Twilight engulfed him before he began to get transported however as he shifted into a Shadow Beast. Vix wanted his wings ready as soon as he entered the Light Realm so he could immediately begin his search. His search. He didn't know what he sought or if it would even be there but, as he began to get sucked through the dimensional gap, Vix was sure he'd recognize right away if that place gave him the same feeling as his home always had. If it didn't then that would be a start. If it did... then that would be his end. [Exit]

As Midna and her Twili left the Twilight Realm for the first time in numerous centuries, their die was cast onto the board, moving them directly into the game. In the heavens above, a pair of soulless gray eyes watched the scene for just a few moments longer before disappearing… A 20 Rupee Award has been given to all those who joined this thread. Every Twili is now free to RP in both the Light and Twilight Realms. FIN
