Hecatia leaned against a wooden fence post. Nothing here, nothing there. Everywhere nothing. She was at the edge of town, waiting for something to happen. She was almost bored to death. She turned to watch the villagers milling about the town square going about their daily lives. It was a fairly small town; only one shop and a few houses here and there. There were dogs running about and some cats hanging around windows and other spots that were to their tastes. A cat sauntered over to where she was and flopped in the sun, immediately falling asleep. Hecatia thought, and she supposed if she wanted something to happen that she ought to *make* it happen. With an idea in her head, she headed into town to gather supplies so that she could head out. Round and round and round she goes, where she stops nobody knows!

Lumi, as Luminita preferred to be called was ankle deep on the edge of the lake side. She pulled up her white and brown worn skirt just enough to keep it from getting wet. (but she was careful not to show off a distasteful amount of skin.).. as she wiggled her toes in the sand.
She KNEW she saw something shiny in the water. so she did the most logical thing she could think of. Wade around in the pond like a child. and dig at the ground like a animal.
Villagers simply stared at her as she did this. Adults shaking there heads and children being told not to imitate this stranger, or they'd catch cold.
Lumi stared straight down and began to dig at the cold pebbled shore, splashing a bit and getting some water on her long sleeves she smiled brightly as she began to dig up....
... nothing but a shiny pebble....
Lumi sighed and stepped out of the pond, ringing out her damp sleeves. Her hunt for shinies was in vain. With nothing else to do in the tiny village. Lumi just decided it would be best if she just gathered up supplies to look around the surrounding forest.
Shinies were ALWAYS found in ancient sacred temples like that.
She felt her heart beat in anticipation as the thought of treasure and adventure was just around the corner.

Hecatia pushed open the door to the only shop in town. Hopefully they would have some good travelling supplies. Going on foot would take a while to get to the next town. Hecatia silently contemplated buying a horse. She knew there was a ranch nearby.
As she milled around the store she came to the isle she was looking for. There were water skins, dried foods, and even some sweets. She had to looks away from those. She already had a water skin so she would have to refill it at the towns well, but she did grab about a weeks supply of dried meat and some grainy bars that looked filling.
She went up to the store clerk to pay when a young looking girl came waltzing in. Her childlike behaviour made Hecatia roll her eyes. She dug around in her purse hoping she had enough ruppees. Unfortunately for her the clerk on duty was a female so she couldn't ask for any 'discounts'.

Entering the store, Lumi looked around. Nothing really caught her eye besides the woman already in the store. Lumi had no idea of the woman's race, though she seemed different than most Hylians and humans she encountered Lumi had spent such brief time with any race besides her own she had no idea what she could be. She just tried to focus on something else. The woman seemed to be glaring at her in annoyance.
Lumi still peaked up behind the red-head to see the selection the store had, the plump lady store owner, was simply petting her cat as she beamed at the fuzzy creature.
Lumi was a bit disappointed in the stock they had. she disliked meat, therefore the dried meat looked unappetizing she decided she'd just buy a few of the grainy bars... until something caught her eye...
the cat was playing with something that sparkled in the dim light of the store...
She let out a small peep of excitement as she pushed the red-headed lady in front of her to get a better look...
"Miss shop keeper! where did your cat get that shiny?!?!" Lumi squeaked in her childlike, melodic voice.
she was unaware how annoyed the red-headed girl was from her act of unintentional rudeness.

Hecatia sighed. She was obviously naive. This small bird-brained oocca had probably never been away from home before, yet here she was now. And she was so tiny and cute...Hecatia sighed again. Blast her love for cute things. Blast it all away.
She ignored the girls question and pulled out aproximately the right amount of ruppees. The attendant, thankfully held up a finger to the younger looking girl to help Hecatia put her order in. That's when she had an idea. If this girl liked 'shinies' as much as her behaviour showed, then maybe she had a use for her.
"Hey girl, you like shiny things yes? How would you feel about joining me on a little expedition? Go hunting for our own shinies in the nearby temple?" Her patience of course would be tried, but she would also have to resist petting the girl. She was acting just like a puppy. Wide eyed and with a one track mind.

Lilark pulled the hood of his cloak up as he neared the village. After looking for the temple two days, he had yet to find it. Sighing, he drank the last of his water as he entered the main village. Hopefully, someone here would know where the temple was. At the very least, he could restock his supplies.
Lilark entered the store, only to be met with the strange sight of an Oocca eyeing a cat toy, with a rather attractive Gerudo watching her. Lilark was somewhat used to such sights, seeing as he grew up in Castle Town, but he never expected to see them here, at the edge of Hyrule.
Pulling his hood down so he could see better, Lilark quickly grabbed two weeks worth of dried meat and bread. He never had developed a taste for granola, so he stayed away from it. moving past the odd travelers, Lilark set down his purchases and with practiced ease drew the needed rupies from his wallet.
Only when he reached the door did an idea form, so he turned to the Gerudo. "Pardon me, but would you by chance know how to get to the temple in the forest? I've been trying to find it for two days, but I have a horrible sense of direction."

Hecatia was startled by how efficiently the stranger had come in, got what he wanted and bipassed her in line. "I have a general idea. You going there too?" She looked him up and down and assessed his figure.
"I guess we could all form a group and go." She grabbed the girl looking at the cats shiny and pulled her upright next to her. This shop was getting quite a bit of business today. She didn't think they got any more business than their regulars very often.
Either way it was a good day to find some expedition partners. She would just have to find a few more shinies than she needed to cover their share.

The easily distracted Oocca could barely contain her excitement she had ANOTHER fellow adventurer was on her hunt for shinies.. she felt her self move however.
Lumi, was confused she wasn't moving her feet or her wing so HOW could she be moving?... she looked at her hand and saw the red-headed lady was pulling her out of the store, Lumi began to flail a bit about. what about the cat's shiny?!?
"w-w-wait!" the Oocca girl cried, trying to pry herself from the woman's clutches. The man simply putting his hood back on and following carrying his supplies in tow. "the SHINY! the cat still has a shiny!"
Neither adventurer seemed to care as they started there trek to the forest temple. The cat eyed Lumi again oddly, as it lay down and sniffed the shiney bauble, and proceeded to eat it.
Lumi whimpered and allowed her self to be dragged out of the store as she glared a bit the cat.
The cat ignored her and simply lay down to sleep.
Hopefully this temple excursion would yeild much more treasure thana cat could never put it's greedy jaws around.

Lilark smiled gently at the hyper-active Oocca as she protested leaving what appeared to be a fish in the paws of the cat. He fished around in his pack for a while before finding a large marble, which he offered to the girl with a kind voice. "I think that that shiny was the cat's dinner. Here, you can have this instead, okay?"
Straightening up, he pulled his hood back and ran a hand through his golden blond hair before tying it back into a small ponytail that went down to the base of his skull. looking at his new companions, he decided that introductions were in order. "So, since we'll be traveling together for a while, I think we should get to know each other a bit. My name is Lilark, and I'm a human. I don't really have a home, although I did live in Castle Town for a few years. My life's ambition is to become a hero, and to live life to its fullest to honor my mother."
