PERSONALITY,
When it comes to fellow Gerudo, there are few more loyal than Arezu. She will do just about anything to help one of her own or to avenge a wrong done to them. This does not mean blind trust, however. If she is wronged she will quickly forgive but she will not forget and should the behavior persist she will do all that she can to shut it down. When it comes to those who are not Gerudo, she does not easily trust or open up. She will be as polite as the situation warrants and may even come to call some of them friends but if she ever must choose between those she calls friends and her family, she will choose her family above all.
APPEARANCE,
Arezu is slightly over average height for a Gerudo. She normally keeps her long red hair tied back away from her face so that it will not get in the way. Her eyes are a dark golden color that contains flecks of brown if you look closely enough. When in casual or non-political situations, she tends to simply wrap her torso and wear loose, flowing red pants. In more formal situations she normally tends to wear something a bit more traditional.
Among Arezu’s defining features are several scars along her hands and arms from cuts that she has acquired through her fighting. On her right leg there are a few spots that look as though she had once been badly burned. Although she does not care who sees the marks on her arms, she will go out of the way to conceal the burns on her leg.
WEAPONS,
Arezu uses an enchanted weapon that can transform from anything ranging from a dagger to a halberd to a great sword. More details in the abilities section.
ITEMS,
She normally keeps a shirt with her for when the weather turns cold, her weapon, some money, and a few various odds and ends.
ABILITIES,
Multi-Weapon- She has an enchanted weapon that can change its size and shape to any melee weapon crafted from metal or wood. The transformation takes one action slot and has a cool down of two rounds.
Speed burst- Arezu gains an extra action slot for anywhere between one to three rounds due to a burst of adrenaline. She is fatigued for one round after using it and can only take one action as she catches her breath. This ability has a cool down of three rounds starting after the ability ends.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Dodge: Completely avoid one physical or magical attack without moving in or out of range. Three post cooldown.
Beguile: Amassing the Gerudo’s feminine wiles, the target loses the ability to physically attack (loses one action slot) for two turns. The Gerudo King can also use this ability; he, however, relies on sheer machismo to achieve a similar effect based on intimidation. 4 post cooldown.
HISTORY,
For the first few years of her life, Arezu lived among the Gerudo and was raised by her mother, a loving a kind woman. When she came to be about seven years of age she began following her mother along on her trips to the kingdom for things such as trading or different jobs that her mother would pick up on the side.
One day, when she was nine years old, while she and her mother were in the town she became distracted and was separated from her mother. At this age she had yet to fully know the hostility that was held between some races. In the market with them there had been a Hylian who believed himself to be Arezu’s father. He took her while she was searching for her mother and dragged her back to his home, convinced that he could civilize her and give her a ‘better life’ than she had in the desert.
It was not long until she managed to get away from him and escape the house but in the struggle to make it to the door a lamp was knocked over and her pant-leg caught fire, leaving her leg badly burned. Those scars exist to this day though she tries to hide them as much as possible; doing what she can to forget how she was almost taken from her family.
After that incident she began to grow more resentful to those outside of the Gerudo. She stopped following her mother on the trips and refrained from interactions with anyone outside of those that she already knew for several years. Eventually she began to travel once more and interact with other races though she is always more guarded now that she was when she was a child. Toward Gerudo, however, she has begun to see herself as something of a guardian, doing what she can to keep her people safe from any that might bring them harm.
