PERSONALITY,
Aerith is quite the kind and gentle young woman, almost always appearing quite cheerful and content. She is rather peaceful, and does not enjoy confrontation of any sort, and always tries to use her words before using her blade. Aerith is a rather old and wise soul, her young appearance making it appear otherwise. She is very mature for her age, often staying calm and collected in dire situations, and not letting many things faze her. Listening to other people comes with her disposition, and she does enjoy helping those that need to be helped, but only if they want to be. Serene and rather perceptive, not much usually escapes Aerith‘s critical eye. She has a rather mothering personality toward her close friends, taking care of them when they need it, and loyal without fault.
Aerith is also quite stubborn and willful, hardly ever changing her mind from a decision once reached. This can cause her to be a little reckless with herself, because she will do what she believes if for the best, even at a danger to herself. At times, she can be a little too kind and trusting for her own good, because Aerith always strives to see the good in everyone. She does believe in second chances, and is a little naive when it comes to trust and the opposite gender. She is hardly shy, but flirting leaves her a little at a loss, and a blushing mess. Her selflessness can also be seen as both admirable and foolish, because she would not hesitate to place her life before someone close to her. Protecting innocents has always come first to her, and she cannot see that ever changing.
APPEARANCE,
Aerith has a rather delicate and feminine appearance, which is easy upon the eyes. Strawberry hued hair tinted a very light pink that reaches down to her waist when not held back to the side in a loose ponytail. Her oddly toned hair is perhaps odd, even for her Hylian nature. Her eyes are a very light blue, like very clear ocean waters, and always open and warm in expressing her emotions. Her height is on the average side, standing at 5ft. 7in. She is definitely not the most imposing of women, but she is rather strong for her delicate appearance. Aerith takes after her Hylian mother very much, but her round ears tell of her human heritage.
Her style of clothing is rather tasteful and nice. Her preferred outfit is a comfortable white and pink form fitting dress that reaches down past her thighs. Rather strappy at the sides, the front of the dress has an intricate emblem of the Triforce. The edges of her dress are trimmed in gold. Aerith wears pink stockings that end above her knees. She wears white heeled boots to finish the look, and rather adores this particular outfit of hers.
Aerith.
WEAPONS,
Nirvana: A rather beautifully wrought blade that appears as if it came from the ocean itself. Her main weapon for attacking, and she wields it quite deftly with merely one hand. While it does not perhaps appear dramatic or deadly, the truth is that the Nirvana holds a secret power that makes it a far more effective weapon than an ordinary sword. On contact with any physical object save Aerith herself, the Nirvana releases a pulse of telekinetic energy. Against organic objects, it does deal fairly heavy damage, but the real benefit of the ability is that it allows the sword to combat almost any traditional weapon, releasing bursts of telekinetic energy that help to block and parry incoming attacks. Furthermore, she can use the sword in this way to knock away obstacles, block projectiles, and slam it into the ground to give her jumps and acrobatics a boost. Finally, the telekinetic bursts disperse any elemental magic bound to the staff in a sort of concentrated elemental explosion. Acrobat: Passive. Cooldown: One post.
Perseus Bow: A beautifully crafted white bow that Aerith obtained from an unsuspecting Nightmare. There are no magical powers within the pretty weapon, and it merely shoots twenty white trimmed arrows.
ITEMS,
Crystarium: A beautiful rose-shaped crystal that was left to Aerith by her mother. She senses a power within it, but she has no clue as to what the crystal actually does. She jokes that it's good for absolutely nothing, but she treasures it deeply. Keeping it on her person at all times, Aerith does not part from it if it can be helped. Her quiver contains twenty arrows for her to use in combat.
Quiver: Where Aerith keeps her white trimmed arrow for her Perseus Bow. Nothing out of the ordinary, and it sits quite comfortably slung across her shoulder.
ABILITIES,
Magical Burner [Racial]: All magical spells have their cooldown decreased by one level. However, if any ability would normally have a cooldown of 3 turns or greater, the Hylian receives a half-level of magical damage upon casting that spell.
Wrath: Harnessing power from an unknown source, Aerith conjures a searing bolt of righteous lightning to strike down her foes. Wrath deals 2 levels of magical damage, 1 level with the elemental attribute of Holy, 1 level with the elemental attribute of Lightning. This ability may used against targets classed as ‘out-of-range’. Cooldown: Two posts.
HISTORY,
Aerith was born on the edge of Faron Woods, in a small cottage shared by her mother and father. Her mother was a beautiful Hylian woman with gentle features, and deep healing and spiritual powers. These were passed onto her daughter, who grew to have a deep love for all of nature. Her father was a handsome human, who loved his wife and daughter dearly. Viewing them both as his greatest treasures, he spoiled them both as often as he could. Aerith is the splitting image of her mother, except for her rounded human ears. If not for them, most would take her to be a pureblooded Hylian. Growing up, Aerith was a happy and bright child, often getting into things she should not have. Providing joy to her small family, she was intelligent and mature for her age. Intuitive to emotions around her, she often surprised her parents with how well she could understand them and console them of any woes they held.
As she grew, her mother taught her of herbs and how to garden. Aerith enjoyed these lessons the most, as she excelled in growing flowers. Able to grow anything anywhere. She could coax young flowers to bloom with her sweet voice and songs. Encourage saplings to bear fruit for the season, and bring even plants near death back to life with gentle hands. Aerith soothed many around her, and her charismatic personality drew many people to her. She adored spending most of her days within her mother's lap and looking into the stars. Of course, happiness does not last forever. When she was only ten-years-old, her lovely and vibrant mother fell ill. Aerith and her father were left worried and confused. How could such a vivacious woman fall ill? Aerith did all she could to try and help her mother get well, but it was in vain. All of her salves and medicines could only prolong her mother for so long.
It was on a warm, starry summer night that her mother was laid to rest.
Aerith and her father became very confused and somber. Of course, Aerith took it upon herself to care for the small cottage and her father. Pushing her own grieving away, she became the strong-willed and stubborn young woman she is known as today. Aerith cared for the small garden her mother had once kept, and made sure to look after her father. Through the years, it worked, and though her father never quite overcame the death of her mother, they were happy. Aerith was attentive to what her father needed, and was patient and kind to him. While the image of his daughter haunted him at times, he still cherished and appreciated all she had done for him. Of course, quiet and peaceful never lasted for long. She had ventured into Hyrule Castle Town in an attempt to sell her rather pretty flowers, to some success. Apparently, a few boys thought it would be fun to be crude with the young girl. At first, they had realized that her Hylian features were marred by her human ears, and degraded her for the fact she was a hybrid, even if Hylian/Human relations were not all that strange. Noticing how pretty Aerith was, one male had grasped her by the front of her dress, being crude enough to suggest that it should not just be flowers that she sold. Appalled, Aerith had struggled to distance herself from the males, demanding to be released.
Before anything could take place, Aerith was soon rescued by a male that would be her friend for the next six years. In quite the angry display, the Hylian Knight had descended upon the filthy males without remorse and a senseless rage. She had closed her eyes to the violence, but had been roused by his surprisingly gentle voice asking for her well being. Taken aback by the change in demeanor, she answered his question with a sweet smile, warming up to the Knight instantly. Their close friendship began, and Aerith would often bring the busy Knight lunch when she had the time, and picked flowers for him to brighten his room with, even if he attempted to appear disinterested in them. She had also pressured Rwaht into teaching her how to use her mother's Nirvana blade, never wishing to be caught unaware again. The years were not too eventful, except for one incident where yet another male would come into her life. He had fallen into her life, right into her flower garden.
Aerith had stared, quite shocked at the scene before her. Quickly coming to her senses, the young woman had gone to work to heal him. Aerith had been able to drag the mysterious man back to the small cottage she shared with her father. Making sure her father was out, she sneaked him into her room. Carefully, she had cleaned the man of his wounds, applying her own homemade salves to heal the cuts and gashes. Aerith worriedly watched over the man who occupied her bed, making sure to change his dressings every two hours, and keeping a cold cloth on his forehead. Over the next few days, Aerith would make this her routine. She would change his dressings, and force some water down his throat to keep him hydrated. Soon, the man would awaken, nearly giving Aerith a heart attack with his odd manner and sudden anger. Of course, nothing was ever easy.
Aerith learned his name was Nightmare, and when she had expected him to merely thank her an be on his way, he surprised her again. He had proclaimed that he would guard her until he had saved her life in turn. At first, Aerith had been flattered, but no matter many times she had asked him to merely continue on, he stuck around. His presence confused her, and became an annoyance at first. Aerith had to remind herself to keep her patience around the infuriating man who would follow her everywhere, and always tease and poke fun at her. His insults about her kind nature, and how she should be more callous. Not to mention her father. Her father had been rather angry with Nightmare's brazen treatment of his daughter, but as the months passed, Aerith grew used to his presence. His comments no longer bristled her anger, and she wore a smile for him each day.
Aerith viewed Nightmare as one of her closest friends, and even though he annoyed her, she enjoyed the challenge. [And she had the feeling he did as well.] With his callous remarks, Aerith would counter them, often annoying the human. When she had been planting in her garden one day, Nightmare had often wondered why she bothered with something so trivial. "Because it makes me happy." Much to her shock, the next day she awoke she saw a flower basket at the foot of her bed. Even though Night had denied giving it to her, she knew he had given it to her as a gift. Soon, a half year had almost passed without Night even repaying his debt to her. Aerith could sense the restlessness in him, and his own growing annoyance towards her. Perhaps because of her kind nature, and her calm demeanor. Or maybe because he wanted to move on. Aerith never knew.
In his brazen and blunt way, Nightmare had told Aerith that he would be leaving the next morning. Saddened, she still accepted his desire with a smile. Though, that did not mean she could not have some sort of revenge. Aerith had noticed her friend's rather attached feelings towards his bow. When Nightmare had been sleeping unawares on her bed, as he tended to do to annoy her, Aerith took the elegant bow from beside his bed, quickly hiding it within her bedroom. When the morning came, she knew it would be time for him to leave. The two stood rather awkwardly, Aerith unsure how to say goodbye, and Nightmare just standing there. As he turned to leave, her own boldness showed. Perhaps driven by her sadness to see him go, or maybe because she had developed feelings for him over their time together. [Or just to shock the hell out of him.] Aerith had turned Nightmare around, and pressed her lips against his lightly. A parting kiss, or maybe just to remember him.
It was rather awkward and unnerving.
Aerith has not seen Nightmare since he departed, and so she has continued with her own life as she has always done. Practicing her archery, visiting Rwaht, and tending to her flowers. Life is peaceful, and she like it that way.

A C C E P T E D ! !
Ciaran's brief shouting fit aside, you're all done.
Also, "righteous lightning" made me giggle as I imagined a surfer dude saying it.
