Adela made her way through the town, keeping her eyes on the castle but taking the longest route possible to get there. She had all of the equipment that she would need to try out but she was having trouble getting up the nerve to actually do it.
It seemed the most logical thing for her to do, to help others of her kind. There was a large part of her that just wanted to find a new family to care for and spend the rest of her life doing that, but she knew that she would be able to do more good if she were to join the Sentinels.
She took a few deep breaths and closed her eyes, steadying her resolve before stepping forward with a new resolve and determination. Unfortunately she forgot to reopen her eyes before starting.

"Ow." Rwaht watched as a woman basically bounced off his chest, the Hybrid Praetor having long developed the natural stance and stamina necessary to resist being knocked over by a young woman who wasn't looking where she was going. He looked at her with some degree of amusement and asked,
"Are you all right?" he asked, trying not to sound like he wanted to laugh. People seemed to be bumping into him at an alarming rate. By now it was just getting sort of funny. |

All of the steam that she had built up, all of the muster that she had put in to her first strides toward a new life, all of it seemed to fizzle away as she ran into Rwaht. So this was her new path in life, smacking into people and ending up banging her elbow on the street because she was too surprised to catch herself.
Once she came to her senses she scrambled to her feet and gave a worried bow, hoping that whoever she had run into was nice enough to not try and retaliate. She almost didn't believe her ears when she heard his response. "What?" Adela straightened up out of her bow and seemed to be genuinely surprised. "I-I'm fine. Are you okay? I mean, you look okay and I doubt I could do much damage but..." She trailed off and let out a sigh, fighting herself to keep from running away.
"My name is Adela, I am sorry to have run into you. It's just...I was on my way to start fresh and I got too excited and just took off and...I'm sure you don't really need to hear any of this. I'm sorry." Adela had extended her hand at the beginning of the introduction and if he took it she would shake his gently but if not it would move shakily down to the seam of her skirt and start fidgeting, much like her left hand had done the entire time.
