A young child crawled into his bed and pulled the covers up as an elderly woman walked into the room, the candle she held and another upon a small table the only lights in the room with the curtains closed to block out the hanging moon and floating stars high above the house in which they dwelled.
”Did you brush your teeth?” Asked the old lady.
”Yes Grandma…” Answered the boy dryly.
”Don’t want to lose those teeth young man, not many pretty girls are interested in gums.” Said the woman, chuckling softly.
The boy, much less amused, groaned and threw the covers over his head.
”So, what story should I tell you tonight?’ Inquired the woman as she pulled a nearby chair from its desk to the bed.
”I’m not really in the mood for a story today Grandma, we spent almost the entire day listening to the teacher drag on and on about wars.” Complained the child.
”Really now? I hope you listened. Those wars shaped this land, changed its future. If people forgot about them and the strife they caused, wars over the same issues would only happen over and over.”
”Grandma, even if they did, a hero would come and save us again, just like the Moonlight Shadow did in the Hydra War.”
”Is that what they teach you in school? That one man decides the outcome of an entire war? No one man is an army child, and no ending is decided by one event, but by a culmination.”
”But Grandma, he was so powerful! He took on a whole army all by himself!” Exclaimed the boy, propping up in his bed.
“Dear, one person, no matter how strong, does not decide the outcome of an entire war. One merely needs to look at the Gerudo King, how his uprising against the Royal Family fell.” Said the lady, sighing softly as she leaned back in the chair. ”Let me tell you how the Hydra War truly happened, the many women and men who changed its course, the deceit and betrayals that shaped its tribulations. Like most wars, it all started with a catastrophe and a disagreement…”
One month after its opening, Sonata of Silence’s Plot is about to begin. [/size][/blockquote]
