Adela hesitated as she approached the city. She was tempted to turn around and go back to where things were familiar, to where they made sense. Despite her Oocca heritage she had never been to the City in the Sky, had never even thought about visiting until just recently.
Eventually he managed to swallow down her apprehension and come in for a landing, folding her soft black wings against her back. How would they react to a hybrid? She'd heard of some culture's disapproving. And what of her father? The only thing she knew was that he had returned to the city before she was born.
Adela braced herself and took a deep breath before starting off on her exploration of the city.

Delta looked up to the sky, he had all the information he needed on the exact location of the city of the sky, he was not going to launch himself from the cannon it would only ruin his feathered wings. Delta’s wings were large and powerful, capable of lifting his weight and three times more. He was told the city in the sky should be in this general area. Delta was going to fly and when he got up there he would be exhausted and he knew it. If it were not in the area above him, he would lazily glide back down, ask around the next day, and try again.
Delta crouched down and charged up his telekinetic ability just below him, he would jump as high as he could and release the wave at the same time with his wings stretch out as far as they could reach, the diluted but long ranged wave of energy would propel Delta with tremendous velocity. The only reason he diluted the solidness of the wave is that he did not want to break his wings. So the front of the wave would act as a cushion while the rest is solid enough to hold delta as long as there is enough surface area, which is what he is going to use his wings for, and he the wave would carry him up as far as it would last before disappearing. Where then delta would know it because the feeling of being pushed would disappear and when it does he would tuck in his wings and stream line up as far as momentum allows then he would fly the rest of the way.
That is his plan, that is his theory, now it is time to put it to the test. Delta jumped up hard as he could and as soon as he reached the top he unfolded his wings out as far as they could reach and released the kinetic wave, it was sudden and hard because in seconds delta went front 0 to 360 in second. Normally his wings would have been broken in several places but he had put enough cushion into his wave to bring his momentum to a save level before hitting the solid portion of the wave. The wind of the speed roared around the wave, which distorted the light as it, bolted into the sky, the trees on the ground grew smaller and smaller, 2/3 of a mile up the wave dissipated and before it was, completely gone delta tucked in his wings and let momentum do its job. After about 100 yards Delta opened his wings and thrust them down hard, he then leveled out to fly up at an angle that should allow him to reach the city in the sky before exhaustion.
Delta flew as elegantly as an eagle, occasionally riding the thermals to relax as much as he could before continuing back up.
After some time Delta came through a cloud and there it was the city in the sky, he had already fought a gust of wind, but instead of trying to fly against it, he used the wind like a kite. He tilted his wings to rise up regardless that he flew backwards, but as the gust, faded delta would turn around to gain speed to ease the struggle from going from zero to flight speed while in flight. However, Delta thrust his wings down hard a few times and tucked them in as he soared upwards and then above a Landing Zone, delta glided down and before landing flapped his wings in short quick thrusts and gently landed. Delta folded his large jet-black eagle wings to his pack tucking them in nicely and comfortably.
Delta looked around for any Oocca, he did not see any until she heard someone walking down a path behind him, Delta spun around with his hand over to his back griping his Katana, it was instinct of his he never let his guard down. However, once he saw it was a blacked winged Female Oocca he let go of his sword and relaxed putting his arm down to his side. Delta continued to look over this Oocca, she did not wear the typical clothing of any Oocca clothing he’d ever seen so he figured she was new to this place if not then she just wore clothing of a humans design. Delta never seen a live Oocca before only heard of them and seen pictures of them but never in person that is why he is here to learn and visit, he figured if he could make some allies particular ones who could fight.
Another thing he noticed about the Oocca was her wings were smaller than his were, he thought for a moment of how an Oocca could fly with wings in a design of a weaker bird, and then he remembered someone once told him the Oocca’s biology is built to be lighter than any other human like species.
However, Delta did not make any movements to approach her; after all, she is heading his way so there is not point to go down the path and confront her, especially sense a sudden gust of wind could take them both out and send them tumbling down to the ground far below.
’I wonder who she is? She does not wear or hold anything of Oocca in origin, I wonder why, maybe she could be a good friend of mine, she looks about a year older than me…however, whoever she is, I’ll find out and hopefully make her my comrade or enemy whichever she chooses.’ Delta thought to himself and the Female Oocca continued onward, and so Delta waited for her.

Adela was beginning to grow more nervous than ever before. She had yet to run into anybody and though she had only just landed she was almost disappointed. She knew better than to expect any sort of fanfare or even a passing glance but the longer she went without meeting anyone, the more she wanted to just turn around and run.
Thought continually ran through her head. What if someone recognized her? What if she ran into her father? What if someone recognized her and her father was dead or didn't want her? Then again, if her former master had been correct, her father had never even known she'd existed and she did not even have a name for him.
She let out a slow sigh and was about to leap off of the edge and head home when she spotted someone. His wings were black, similar to hers but larger. Adela was not surprised, her wings were quite small, although they held more power behind them than one might think by looking at her at first.
"H-hello. It's a nice day out, isn't it?" She tried to keep her voice from shaking and her hands from playing with the seam of her skirt but she could not. Her voice still shook and her fingers still twitched but she did not run. Her eyes scanned over the man and she took note of his weapons, though he would be able to see that she was armed as well. There was a bow hanging on a custom holster on her lower back, between her wings, and a quiver of arrows rested just above it.

Delta smiled briefly then turned his like he was looking slightly down and to the left keeping his eye on the female Oocca as if he were looking at someone smaller and next to her yet he kept his eye on her. Her voice shook and she fiddled with the seam of her skirt.
“Hm… nice day indeed,” replied Delta in an almost stoic voice.
He then looked back straight at the Female and walked over to a comfortable talking distance so they will not have to raise their voice to hear each other over the wind, he noticed her bow she held in-between her wings he did not notice before sense with her wings folded in it hid her bow. She was a warrior, more like an archer, which was great.
Then Delta’s Shadow sword gave off a spark of dark energy is sounded like electricity and the visible handle was briefly enveloped in dark energy, also when it happened he felt the bolt accidently jump from the sword onto his back it hurt but he stood in place like nothing happened. Delta heard it he heard his father once say the sword has a mind of its own but he did not know if it were true if it was he could not understand what it is trying to say. However, Delta then unfolded his trench coat collar to cover and hide the blade and while doing so tucked the sword further down into the trench coat to get it out of view. Delta knew everyone knew what dark magic was and knew what a spark looks like for evil magic well just looks evil good magic is bright in color and gets darker the more evil it gets.
“you don’t act like any Oocca I ever heard of, Make no mistake though, I am Hylian as you can see, I just have wings instead,” Explained Delta still in a stoic voice showing no emotions of any kind.
Without warning a gust of wind came in from behind Delta it was brief and strong it pushed Delta off balance but he quickly balanced himself by quickly spreading his wings and thrusting them forward only a couple inch’s which provided enough force for him to keep balance, then folded them back up, if he had not he would have fell down.

Adela took a step back when she saw the dark energy leap off of the blade and coat the handle. She had never seen dark magic before but she could only imagine that that's what she was seeing. Adela was ready to flee but when he did not attack she stopped. When he hid the blade away she seemed to relax somewhat. Perhaps just because he had a dark sword did not mean that he himself was bad.
Adela looked down at herself and shook her head. "I would not expect to. I am not a pure Oocca. I'm half human and was raised by a human woman. I..." Her face flushed and she look away in embarrassment. "This is my first time even visiting this place."
Despite the dark energy before, Adela closed the distance between them when Delta was pushed forward by the wind, holding her hands out to catch him. Although he managed to catch himself, she still placed her hands on his shoulders to help him right himself.

Delta noticed when she stepped back after the spark of energy, it looked as if she was going to run, but after he did not attack and then hid the weapon she seemed relaxed some bit. When paused Delta noticed she blushed, in embarrassment most likely, then she continued to speak.
When she closed the distance between then and after righting himself she put her hand on his shoulder all Delta did was look at her hand for a few seconds, he is not use to warm welcomes and the gentle manner of other people. So instead of moving away he stood in place and let her touch his shoulder so long as it does not get to close to his sword.
Looking back at the Female, he then said, “Is that so? Hm, I never thought one would be compatible with an Oocca, let alone raised by a human….” He paused hearing the yells of someone then a thud. Without a moments warning Delta pulled out his Shadow Sword and quickly turned so his right is facing the person who suddenly fell in all the wile pointing his sword with dark energy violently sparking off it at the new person. His sword was ready to launch a bolt of energy, delta hated surprises and when someone suddenly comes in.
If the Female Oocca had been any closer she would have been nicked by the sword, but Delta was not going to hinder his movements for the safety of a stranger especially If there is a attack. When he saw it was just a human who came in he lowered his sword and the sparks of energy came to an almost halt but occasionally still sparked with energy just incase.
The only reason he lowered his guard was that the human was quite dazed from the launch of the cannon and initial impact of landing or more like crashing onto the platform. Once the human woke up and fell onto his back after an failed attempt to stand, which was amusing to Delta but he did not show it, even after all this unfolded so suddenly Delta’s look remained stoic.
Delta then sheathed his shadow sword tucking it out of sight again, and then said as he turned back around to face where the Female Oocca was and said, “I never let my guard down.”

"I am unsure as to the nature of my parents relationship. I never knew either of them and the woman who raised me only knew my mother briefly." She removed her hands from his shoulder once she was sure that he was steady and was about to speak when she noticed someone flying through the air.
So that was how the chicken cannon got people up there. Watching him come crashing down to the ground made her grateful, and not for the first time, that she could simply fly. Adela jumped away from Delta and positioned herself between Delta and the man who had come flying in.
She would have tried to order him to stand down but he did so on his own. "Even so, you must be careful with that thing, you could hurt somebody with that thing!" She tried to sound forceful and in control but her voice still shook and her face flushed with embarrassment.
Once she sure the sword would not be drawn again she turned around and rushed over to the one who had fallen from the sky. Her face gave away the worry that she was showing. He seemed to have had a bad landing. "Are you alright? Do you need any help?"

*Unsheath* That's what woke Ein up.
Almost completely disregarding the girl next to him, he yelped rather feverishly and edge backwards a bit. At least the shock of seeing a weapon pointed towards him got his muscles working again, though, admittedly, pain was still searing across his spine.
For a moment, he could do nothing but stare in blank fear at the man who threatened him, but the turned away. Then, he recognized the pain once more, and nursed his back again. Now being able to speak, he said apologetically to the girl,
"Y-yes, thank you."
Struggling, he managed to bring himself to stand. A sudden large burst of wind almost completely knocked him over, he was forced to take a few lean steps sideways where he nearly fell of the edge.. wait.. edge?
I'm.. in the sky.
Ein almost choked. In all due respect, the fact that he did not scream was a commendable feat, as he was still 9 years old and only looked in his teens due to accelerated aging. Trembling slightly, he turned towards the other two once more,
"Where.. are we?"

Delta remained where he was, and he was almost oblivious when the female stood in-between him and the kid. He did not wish to hurt innocent people but his long life of danger and the dark magic coaxing him to let go and fall completely into darkness, figuratively speaking that is. Delta ignored the Females commanding order, it is what weapons are for killing. She had to know that she carried a bow of her own. What does she use it for? A tooth pick? No, bows are long-range killers; for either hunting or attacking though not, defending it will not last long against a sword.
Delta could see the kid was hurt, but that was not the only thing he noticed he did not act like a teen of any sort, he acted younger, much younger, unable to put his finger on why he acted so young he let it go and watched the two of them interact. Delta did not feel any emotion even though the kid looked frightened out of his mind. If any others were around the kids yelp would alarm them that someone was frightened.
Realizing he had not introduced himself and knowing that for making friends the name is the first thing one needs to know so he walked over to them, when a gust of wind blew delta held ground this time then continued towards them. He figured that we all should get inside a building before someone fell to their death, especially the human in his condition if a strong enough gust of wind blew he would fall to his death and catching him would be difficult.
“My apologies for the drawing of my sword, for me its instinct. However, My name is Delta Enzair, I’m 18 and I’m a Hylian, and you’re in the Sky city, home of the Oocca, may I know your name,” Delta introduced with a half-smile of fake emotion. He forgot the meaning of the emotion required for a smile so his half smile along with the stoic look of his eyes showed he did not mean the smile.
“Here, I’ll help support you” he added ass he held out his hand in an offer for support, again the fake smile but this time a faint glimpse of kindness shown in his eyes Delta did not notice it, but it did let anyone who was looking know there is still something good in him. However Delta saw in his own eyes and belief, the kid was in poor condition.

The contradiction of telling someone to stand down while she also carried a weapon did not occur to her. Yes, she carried a bow but it was for protection. Being part Oocca, she had very little chance in a sword fight but against most opponents she could use her wings to her advantage. But more importantly a bow allowed her to protect and look out for others, despite her fragile nature.
Adela reached out when he stumbled and grabbed his arm to steady him. Whether she did not notice Delta reaching to do the same or whether she acted automatically regardless of his actions was unknown. It was just the way she was, always wanting to be sure that those around her were cared for.
"As Delta said, you are at the edge of the City in the Sky. I believe you must have stumbled across the chicken cannon to make it this far without wings." She said in response to his question. As she mentioned the chicken cannon her eyes went upward, tracing the path that Ein had taken as he'd fallen. "Though I have to say, there must be better ways of getting up here. That cannon seems awfully dangerous."
Perhaps it was the addition of the newcomer that made her less nervous. Maybe it was that he had never set foot here either or the fact that he seemed to be so much younger than herself but there was something about him that put her at ease. Meanwhile, upon seeing Delta's forced smile, she could not help but wonder what made him tick. A hylian with black wings and a dark sword were not something that one saw every day.
"My name is Adela, it is nice to meet you both." Although Delta was supporting Ein as they moved, Adela placed a comforting hand on his back and smiled. There was something warm in her smile; it was the smile of someone who wished for little but good things, although she knew from experience to never expect them.

Ah.. yes.. I read about this too, although it was in the, "unidentified non-fiction" section..
Ein felt much like he was in the middle of a husband and wife leading their child to school. Much less than emberrassment, his parents were not dead, but they no longer cared for him, so at the moment, it felt kind of nice. He began to introduce himself- but he didn't, because he tripped on Delta's feet and fell off the pathway. In a blinding flash of light, a large, heavily layered, plastic-like white claw emerged from where his cursed left arm used to be, extending all the way up to the landing.
Despite the harsh conditions, and the uncertainy of wether they thought he might be a freak or not from the giant claw, Ein remembered his cut off introduction and called out,
"I'm Ein. I'm nine years old."
He hurriedly lowered himself up to the landing and re-adjusted his jacket, as the transformation ruffled it a bit. Contemplating the area with an exasperated ruffling of hair, Ein said in a worried tone,
"I read about the wind, but not the high death risk percentage."

Clumsy human, the kid tripped over Delta’s foot and fell of the edge, but before any action could be made a claw appeared over the edge and latch onto the platform pathway. When the kid introduced himself from over the edge delta gave off a faint chuckle of amusement.
“strange kid,” said delta as he walked over to the edge and watched him bring himself up.
When he got back up, he seen the kids arm reverted to its normal, and him fixing his jacket sleeve. To prevent the kid taking another tumble for deaths front door he held him across the back and said, [color=red}“yes, they need to make rails on the edges, we should get you inside and check you for injuries.”[/color]
“meanwhile” he added, “I should probably explain why I am so, well unique” he added as they continued down the path.
“First off, when I was very young after my mother died from giving birth, my father took me in, at the time I guess he and some others performed a ritual spell, the outcome were my wings, however, back then it was different, I was different, then my wings were white as white come. I was called the light of angels, if you would believe that. Anyway, when I was able to walk my father took me to some martial arts masters where then they trained me in the ways of deadly hand-to-hand combat and the ways of the sword, and not even my wings hindered my movements. But those were as you would say the good days long gone…” Delta paused for a few moments and his stoic face went to almost a sorrowful look.
“well from there it just gets worse, one day I follow my father into the woods where I found him talking to a black cloaked man, I found out that they had greater plans. In the belief that my father was behind it all I struck him down, but I was wrong, he was under a spell. The ultimate betrayal if you will. The rest well you can see, my hair and wings went dark I took the shadow sword and here I am,” Said Delta. However, that was not all there was more to it, that delta did not say, he did not say why his wings went black, or what his plans were.
His plans were to hunt down this black cloaked man and kill him for causing such betrayal. He did not tell them that why his wings and hair went dark is because he went mad, almost all light in him went dark, and he was, as you would say Evil Dominant. However, what good was in him was strong enough to keep him from falling completely into darkness.

Adela reached out to Ein when he began to fall and was about to jump after him when his arm shot out and grabbed the edge. She let out a sigh of relief as he began to pull himself back up and she had to resist the urge to help him straighten his coat. There was something about him that just made her want to protect him.
It wasn't long until she figured out what that instinct was; he was just a child. Adela was a caring and nurturing person by nature and to find someone who needed caring for, it was just in her instinct to want to help him. She considered asking after the whereabouts of his parents, but knowing her own situation she did not want to bring up a potentially painful subject.
And then they were off, walking along once again. Adela kept a closer eye on Ein, ready to catch him if he should start to fall once more. She did not know how often he could use his arm in that manner and she did not want to assume that he would be fine before she knew for sure what the limitations on his abilities were.
Her attention drifted back to Delta as he began to speak. When he talked of his mother dying in childbirth, she glanced away. It was the same manner in which her own mother had been taken from her. As he told the rest of the story, however, she began to frown as a troubled look came across her face. It must have been a terrible thing, losing his father like that.
"I'm sorry to hear that..." She trailed off, wishing that there were more that she could say and mentally kicking herself for not having the right words for the situation. All she could do was walk, her mind a rapidly moving void.
"So, what brings you two to the City in the Sky?" She asked, hoping that if she managed to change the subject that it might bring Delta's mind off of his painful history.

I never knew.. somebody could have such a.. sad.. sa-
"So, what brings you two to the City in the Sky?"
Ein quickly sobered up in a modest, small sretch. The wind had settled down, and the sun overhead seemed a bit more heated than usual. Trying to make his white hair stay flat, Ein looked around and said,
"I didn't exactly come here on purpose, but now that I am, I might as well explore a little bit."
Still tense after Delta's explanation, he turned and said to him,
"Y-y-you wouldn't mind showing me around a little bit, would you, Mister Delta?"
It was a natural habit of his to address a lot of people that seemed only 2 or 3 years younger or older than his appearance showed very formally just because his mind was still mentally set on being 9 years old.

Looking at Adela Delta said “Looking for friends… allies… comrades, in if I do and you are one, you will learn a little more, and perhaps something you may regret hearing.”
Looking forward and listening to Ein’s Reason, which did not spark any interest. Surely by now they must have realized Delta has not been showing the slightest emotions, with his stoic look and stoic tone of voice. Really? Who comes across a Hylian that does not even show racial pride? That had to be odd as is. And not even a single question about why exactly his wings turned black, perhaps they were just too young to understand, Ein one could understand his non-observantness in conversations but Adela who looks about 20 should be suspicious a little bit.
However, not that any of it is important, when Ein asked him to show him around Delta forced in another fake smile and said, “I am as new to this place as any of you are.”
“What exactly brought you to the chicken cannon and being so young, where are your parents, surely you must have some, you are far too young to have done anything wrong to have them abandon you, so they must be looking for you. My father would never have abandoned me on purpose if he was himself, and he would have asked you the same thing, it was only 2 years ago when he perished.” Delta said stoically saying exactly what his father would have, Delta missed his father thus his desire for revenge on the one who forced his father to betray him. He seen the female seemed very caring she should have asked the question, was Delta’s thought with her caring emotion she would have done a much better job at it than delta had with his stoic tone of voice that showed no care or emotion what so ever.

Unfortunately, despite Adela's caring nature, she never felt comfortable asking questions that others might find to be too personal. She was a servant, not a companion. It was her place to see to the needs of others and talk with them on what they wished to say, it was not her place to pry into their personal lives.
"I am sure there if it is something that you wish to share, then one will not regret hearing it. I do not think one can regret hearing." Of course she could be wrong, but even if she should learn something terrible about Delta then that would only mean that she knew him better. The truth was just that, true. There was no reason to hide from the truth.
She nodded once after Delta spoke, grateful that he had asked the question that she had been too shy to ask. "I am curious about that as well. There must be someone worried for you." She would not refer to parents or family but everybody had someone that cared for them, even if they were not always aware of it.

"Oh, my parent's are alive and well but.."Ein's expression and tone fell as he let out a small sigh, shoving his hands deep within the pockets of his coat. "They.. don't want me anymore. That's why I have no last name."
"There was one person, but she died, and it was because of me. I've traveled far away from where they reside."A gust of wind whipped the hem of his coat and disheveled his thin blades of white hair. Ein didn't like talking about the story. It was childish, but if he didn't talk about it, to him, it never happened. The memory of his foster sister would never leave him still though.

“there is no way I can compare to that, and I wish I could, but I hardly remember what it is like to lose mine, all I remember is the betrayal, and what it felt like” Said Delta.
Delta noticed a rather large building; he figured that if there were any Oocca here they would be in there. Delta gestured over to the building and headed their himself.
As they continued, Delta said, “Well my goal is a little different instead of fleeing, I am pursuing. However…” pausing a little and bringing his voice up form a stoic to a bit light and kinder tone that sounded almost perfect just that he did not feel that way “How did you like you flight up from that cannon? Well before you hit ground.”
Once they got to the stone door Delta briefly looked it over and opened it up, and gestured the other two to go in first.

Before Adela could register what she was doing, she had leaned over and wrapped her arms around Ein. She understood what he was going through, at least on the level of having lost one of the only people who had cared for you. "I am sorry to hear that. I recently lost my guardian as well." She slowly released him.
She walked the rest of the way to the door in silence before freezing. Adela was not sure she wanted to go in. What if they despised hybrids? There were so many people who did and she had never thought to see if the Oocca culture was one of purity or if they accepted those who had mixed blood.
Taking a step back away from the door, she looked to either side of her for some means of slipping away without it looking as though she was trying to flee.
