APPEARANCE,

Lauto's trademark appearance are his sharp teeth, like that of a predatory fish rather than most Zora. Other than that he has the same scaly grey/white body and a short fin-like tail extension hanging from the back of his head. What's that you say? Aren't the black hair, mustache and beard more unsuaul for a Zora than the teeth? Well of course they would be, silly, if they weren't wigs and fakes that he just wears to look more "salesman-like".

Lauto is decked out in a full set of clothes with big black shoes, brown workman's overalls and a buttoned orange shirt covered in stylish black lines. Covering his torso further is a thick brown trench coat, usually not buttoned up but filled with deep pockets. A rather nice rimmed hat adorns the Zora's head and his hands are covered by a pair of black leather gloves. With his body and even fins all concealed beneath the outfit only the man's head can reveal his true race to those who see him. Honestly, even then, if not for the fins on the back of his head one might just think he was a human with a terrible complexion.

WEAPONS,

Arrows
Fifty short, thin wooden shafts tipped with a sharp metal arrowheads and bearing stabilizing feathers on the opposite end.
"Oh yes we've got plenty here! I never carry less than 50 in stock, always ready to fill any quiver! What's that? A bow? No I don't sell those, you'll need your own. Now how many do you want? I offer a discount for buying in bulk!"

Deccu Nuts
Twenty palm-sized brown nuts. They crack open when slammed against a hard surface but can be kind of tough to crack otherwise.
"These are fine quality nuts, let me tell you. Not like those "Deku" brand things you can pluck out of any forest no-sir-ee. Try to find these anywhere else but my shop, I dare you! The best thing about these babies is that they don't come with that annoying flash defect of the competitor's nuts. Now you can crack them open without fear of hurting your eyes! 20 in stock and they're going fast!"

Wooden Shield
A simple wooden shield of the most common design found among Hyrule stores.
"Let me tell you why I only have one of these in stock, friend. It's because not all shields are created equally. Only a few carry the most attention and focus of a carpenter's attention in their crafting. That's why I use each one myself before making them available to you! Only the best that survive the trials we all face while travelling around Hyrule! Hmm? What would I do without a shield for myself if you buy this one? ... We're out of stock."

Lantern Oil
Flammable yellow oil filling up two bottles. Burns very hot if lit on fire.
"I'm sure you see oil being sold all over the place, but let me tell you this is not what others are using. This is genuine fish oil from Zora's Domain itself! Much more long-lasting than any other brand, guaranteed! It also burns much brighter so you can see better than ever. How can it burn brighter AND last longer you ask? Why, that's just how amazing this stuff really is. Honestly, I'm crazy for selling it to you for so little! No I can't sell you the bottle as a spare, fill-ups on lanterns or your own bottles only."

ITEMS,

Fish
Two fishes in separate bottles of water. They're still alive but it can't exactly swim around much.
"These make great pets! Or maybe you're hungry? It's still fresh so I can guarantee the flavour! Maybe you want to have your fish and eat it too? no problem, I've got two on me right now! Fill your life with both love and food at once! No, you can't have the bottles, you'll need to get your own."

Glass Bottles
Six glass containers used to store various weapons/items/abilities.
"For the last time these aren't for sale! How else am I supposed to restock without them?"

Compacted Stand
A rather elaborate contraption, This folded-up series of poles and cloth can be carried discreetly beneath Lauto's coat but, when needed, spring-release din a split second. Add in some fast hands and emptying pockets and soon you've got a lovely white sheet-covered display table to show off all your goods on!
"Of course my stand isn't for sale!"

ABILITIES,

Blue Fire
Two self-sustaining blue flames contained in glass bottles. They don't burn anything but give off a pleasant cooling sensation when touched. If released from storage they will spread over a small area and burn out. Lauto only carries two samples of this rare stuff at a time. If used on a character any abilities they have in cooldown at the time will have the number of turns left in those cooldowns decreased by 2, as if two of their turns had passed at once. In addition to activating the ability himself Lauto can spend 1 Action Point to pass 1 or 2 Blue Fires and containers to another character, at which point that character may then do the same at any time or spend one of their Action Points to activate the effect of 1 Blue Fire themselves. Lauto cannot activate a Blue Fire that has been passed to another character. He WILL be expecting his bottle back afterward, though.
"Now let me tell you items don't get much rarer than these two samples! The legendary Blue Fire! If ever you should encounter Red Ice in your time you'll have no chance against it without this stuff! Oh sure no one's seen Red Ice in a hundred years, but this is Hyrule! You never know what amazing sights you might encounter on your adventures! Besides, it's also nice to have on a hot day. Really refreshing stuff, I can vouch for that use personally. Hey! What did I say about the bottles?"

Recovery Heart
A magical heart that restores life to the body that absorbs it, increasing their condition by 2 levels.
"Haven't seen many of these in other stores have you? No sir, no one else thinks you worthy of going through the trouble for something so simple. I've gone all out hunting these down so you don't have to! Now there's no need to slave over bunches of grass with a sword like some uncivilized ruffian, my friend. I bring the basics to you! Now just... oh dear, where did I put those? They're always slipping around in here..."

RACIAL ABILITIES,

Aquatic Creature
Lauto can breathe in water just as well as air, not to mention swim much better than Hyrule's other ruling races so he'll have an extra Action Slot to work with while immersed. In addition Lauto is able to survive any sort of deep-water pressure, meaning there's no corner of the sea you can't find his fabulous wares!

Electric Field(Land)
Lauto can generate a wave of electrical energy from his body. Creatures hit by the field will have one less Action Slot in their turn due to the stunning effect it has. The field can hit all targets within close range. Shares a cooldown with Electric Field(Sea).

HISTORY,

You know who aren't appreciated? The humble salesmen. They sit in their shops all day, hoping for people to come inside and purchase their stock. Stock that they spent their own fortunes acquiring and collecting into one convenient place for purchase. Hyrule is full of adventurous people. They should be swarming through the stores all the time to prepare for journeys. But do they? No. Why not? Because adventurous people don't need convenience, they think they can go out and just find the stuff on their own. That first step of gathering is what they want to do, not pay others for it.

Well, one shrewd(?) Zora salesman wasn't going to let that slide. Not at all. With a lifetime of sales experience, plenty of supply contacts he could tap for restocking and no fear of travel himself, one Lauto of Zora's Domain closed up his store and headed for the open road. Adventurers didn't think they needed to buy from him? Let's see if they felt that way when they were running low on arrows in the middle of nowhere or their lamps were out of oil in dark caves. Lauto would be there(Or at least nearby), getting into the gatherings of people other shops missed out on and ready to offer his services on the spot!

For a considerably marked-up price, of course.

Your characters never fail to entertain or impress. I can honestly see this character being like... a support character who hides behind pillars offering out stuff like that dude from RE4 who's all like "What're you buying, what're you selling?". =P

Only one issue here and that's with Blue Fire. Just curious, does the cooldown lowering last for the entirety of the occasion (RP/event/battle/thread) or is there a time limit on the ability. Also, can you use both shots on the same person?

You seem to be getting a very different impression of the ability than the one I intended for it. That's OK though, it gave me a chance to add in an effect I had forgotten to include before. The new description should clarify your question for you. It doesn't lower cooldown periods, it just causes all current cooldowns to run through 2 turns at once so they can be used again faster that one time. Blue Fire is "refreshing" so it affects you like taking a two turn breather to recharge when you use one.
