Spirited Away
RACE,
Our dearest Kitsuna is actually a fox-spirit; which would technically make her apart of the monster race.
GENDER,
Kitsuna is definitely female.
BATTLE ROLE,
Hmm, it’s a little hard to explain how Kitsuna actually fights. Best way to explain is that she actually tries not to. However, upon transforming into one of her forms one could say that she does become very dangerous, even if she can’t control it. I guess you can say while in that state she is a Melee Specialist of forms.
BATTLE STYLE,
CASUAL, STORY STYLE
AGE,
She is approximately forty-eight years of age, and still seems to be rather young.
ALLIANCE,
Kitsuna has never truly been one to follow the steps of others, even when it comes to alliances; she hates bickering and fighting, and hates evil too but really just doesn’t want to get involved in all of it. Really she just wants is to find a master and to tease and torment people, and well torment people in a healthy way that doesn’t involve killing. It’s in her own nature to be sly and mistrusting, so you know. If you still don’t understand, the best way to classify Kitsuna is that she’s a Neutralist of forms.
PERSONALITY,
☼ Affectionate: Ah, she’s such a caring little fox-spirit. She simply loves to be with people. She loves having friends too, and doesn’t really know what an enemy is until they punch her in the face. Kitsuna is easy to please and loves to satisfy others; in fact one of her greatest wishes is for someone to take her in as a pet. She’d adore that for a life time. Loyal, attentive and more, when she gains a friend, she keeps them. If you’re ever sad, come to her, she will do all she can to make you happy, including back rubs, taking her for a walk and even cooking for you.
☼ Sly: Now, though I just explained she was affectionate, she does have a dark side, oddly, she shares a strikingly resemblance to a Kitsune, who are pretty devious creatures, that and incredibly smart. She loves to play pranks. She just adores trolling the shit out a community. It might sound horrible, but it’s never in a dangerous way- or too dangerous to kill at least. Its playful things, like pouring slick oil in front of a convenient walkthrough and watching all the people slide out like a slip n’ slide party. Stuff like that, playful, and sometimes painful.
☼ Knowledgeable: She is very smart, though that mostly comes from her age and well, reading. She loves to read and stuff, and as a creature of the wild has a lot of knowledge on monsters and the sort. Her cunning intelligence can get her in trouble though, but it tends to prove to be incredibly helpful towards others. What is she smart at particularly? Well, she has some familiarity with nursing others back to health, she knows regions like the back of her hand, and when it comes to common thinking and logics, she’s simply wonderful. She can be a great travelling companion you know.
☼ Vulgar: However, back to that dark-side I was talking about. Kitsuna is damn a fox, and there two things foxes care about: Sex and food. Though she may be intelligent, some of her comments will baffle you with how vulgar they are, she doesn’t seem to understand that people really don’t want to hear about that or that it just isn’t appropriate to be talking about a males genitals in public. Thing is, she actually does, she just doesn’t care. She has a thing for both men and women, so don’t think just because you’re a girl, you’re safe from her perverted wrath.
☼ Outgoing: Again, she is affectionate, and couple that with outgoingness and you have a rather fun person to be around. She never looks at the glass half-empty, instead she looks to everyday being great, amazing and tries to see the light out of every situation. She’s one to start parties and have events. Bring friends together and have a ball. Being lonely is a no-no for her, she’d rather be roaming the streets talking to people she barely even knows. Though her outgoingness seems to be amazingly helpful, sometimes it isn’t but hey at least it’s a good trait to have.
☼ Blunt: Seriously, she doesn’t understand that sometimes you should lay it too them lightly, or that its best just not to say anything at all. Though yes by being a mute she technically can’t say things, when using telepathy or writing or addressing others in some form, she has absolutely no limitations in doing so. She will say that you’re nose looks like a piece of the Triforce, that your face is crooked, that all those skin blotches on you look unhealthy, but then realizes they are just discolorations and pretty much doesn’t care anyway and keeps to her opinion.
☼ Helpful: On a different note, Kitsuna is very helpful and actually likes to be for that matter, she loves to assist people in things, that is if she isn’t busy trying to pull a prank on them. Her caring nature will have you looking into your adventuring bag and seeing that its all organized and stuff, or that your coming back from a long day a work and a bit of food is prepared for you. In some ways you can say she’s a bit attentive to other peoples needs, and that usually after a prank or two she actually does a lot of nice things for you; prank then pamper a special sort of fun.
☼ Unpredictable: Well, Kitsuna is a mute just to let you know, though she can speak to other’s using the telepathy granted to her by her racial abilities while in her Fox form, in her human form she actually has no form of communication other than mimicry, written messages and such. Considering she’s pretty odd, sometimes she’ll do some weird stuff just to explain something, something that you probably won’t be ready for. Also, her randomness becomes more apparent the more she gets bored, the more bored she is, the more frequent these actions tend to pop out.
☼ Loyal: Oh, she is very loyal, as mentioned she never loses a friend, and when it comes to loyalty with that friend, it’s golden. She’ll pretty much give her life for you if anything. Not only that, she puts a lot of trust into her friends; hell even acquaintances really, and though that’s a good thing, it can be a problem too- she’s not exactly naive per say but she can be manipulated somewhat through friendship. However, break this loyalty, and you’ll simply shatter her, Kitsuna, despite how strong she acts actually can get very sad when someone uses her.
☼ Hotheaded: Now wait, its not exactly like she’s easily angered, no its more or less that when you do piss her off she’s really, really angry. Considering a punch to the face is in store to anyone who does so, depending on who you are, you might get away with only a couple obscenities and more. It’s hard to piss her off; true, but if you do- you’re gonna be sorry. Apparently, this is connected to her full-Moon transformation, that raging monster thing she has. Of course, the anger and rage in comparison to that ability’s is nothing when it comes to greatness.
APPEARANCE,
Kitsuna is a Fox for all of those around, however she doesn’t look like any normal fox. Though she primarily walks about in her Fox-like form, she can be seen utilizing a mystical power she earned that allowed her the ability to turn into a human when she feels like it. In her fox-form, she seems to have the build of a Hokkaido fox (for reference, though I understand the breed doesn’t actually exist in the realm of Zelda). However, she is an albino and carries white hair around her body with spiraling red symbols and dark red tints at the end of her tails, which she has three of by the way. Her eyes are as sly as ever, and carry a red tinge to them that comes with being an albino. A particular symbol is on her forehead projecting the mystical power she obtained that lets her turn into a human form.
Some Sketches of the gal: one, two.
Her human form is gorgeous, not exactly young, though it looks like she may be in her older teens or just hitting an adult phase. She constantly dyes her hair black instead of letting it grow out blonde, since her albinism carries on through her human form as well, her skin is rather pale, and the markings that litter the fox form turn into tattoo’s almost swirling about her body. She seems to have an Asian-like appearance though that only because she keeps her fox-like traits facially in some ways as well. She does keep her fox ears, and her three tails in this form and many have mistaken her for a Minish for that reason alone. Though she doesn’t carry the marking on her forehead, it actually moves to her palms.
When in her human form, she tends to wear very loose-fitting clothes; in fact she doesn’t seem to like anything too tight, not even undergarments; though that may be connect to transforming in and out of her fox-form. The outfit is vaguely reminiscent of Kimono, however, the beads and more that litter it give it an almost gaudy appeal, not only that it seems to be made out of silk instead of cloth. As a way to show she’s still a Fox, she actually has a white Fox mask designed by an old friend that she wears or props on her head, most likely hanging off of one of her ears. The robe mostly carries black colors, which fits her hair and some reds, to go with her eyes, and the tabi-like shoes make roaming about easy.
WEAPONS,
Mori-Mori: Is a steel fan, its edges have been sharpened, and are incredibly deadly. When folded in, it looks like a curved “L” shape, but when spread out, it takes the appearance of beautiful panning fan. It’s littered with decorative paintings of foxes leaping out of trees, some of them obviously abnormal with multiple tails or odd colors. An incredibly large fox rest at the end of their run, most likely being Kitsuna’s full moon form..
ITEMS,
A small bow that she ties around herself to keep her stuff (clothing, weapons, other items, etc.) from falling off her while in fox-form.
ABILITIES,
Moon-Shift: Is a special power that Kitsuna earned/was cursed with venturing the depths of the Snowpeak Region. It granted her the ability to turn into a human body. For some this might not seem powerful, but it does have its uses. Being a human means she can actually fight now, her actual true-form as a fox is rather weak, and only known for its agility and smallness. However, in her human-form she keeps that agility meaning she’s a lot more limber than a regular person and has the element of surprise- and the ability to wield weapons properly. The Human form doesn’t have an actual cooldown or duration; however upon smelling sage or any form of deku-plant, she is forced to return to her fox-form. It seems the ability can’t withstand that form of scent. A note, when Kitsuna transforms into her human form, if her clothes aren’t strapped to her back, she’s going to pop up completely nude, other than this, wearing the clothing somewhere around her will result in transforming with clothing on.
Grand Moon-Shift: Now, here’s where her fox-form gets dangerous thanks to her curse. Every night of the full-moon the fox blood within her is empowered immensely and becomes extremely dangerous, of course she has to be in the moon’s presence directly for it to work. In this case she becomes much larger, almost two meters and half high with jaws wide and strong enough to crush a human in two and strength enough to push cars. There’s a couple problems with this form. It only works on full moons for one, and when she transforms she loses all self-control and goes on a mad rampage across the area, killing friends and foes alike. (Pretty much a werewolf.) Considering she’s actually young for a fox-spirit, her full-moon form renders her incapable of using it at her own free will, and even if she did she wouldn’t be able to use it for very long. Though she can go an entire night, after five post of constant intense fighting, she’ll pass out. Though you will rarely ever hear it, her telepathic voice is something more of demonic monster’s than her usual cuteness.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Telepathy: Since they can’t communicate with vocal cords, they have the ability to telepathically connect with someone visible to them. However, they can only talk to one person at a time, which makes things rather interesting.
Levitation: For three post, a spirit-fox can levitate around, floating pretty much. They can’t go too high, maybe at average human height, but it can be helpful for certain situations you know? This has a four post cooldown.
HISTORY,
Once upon a time, there was a fox, born from a family hidden within the highlands of Snowpeak. This fox was different from her family, she was an Albino and bore white fur, and red eyes and had a personality far more adventurous than the others. When she turned four, she spotted her first humans, a traveling group of Gerudo’s and Human’s who were actually Circus performers. Though she wanted to follow, her family told her not to, and she was stuck there in the mountains, only able to watch.
A couple years later, she was bumbling about when she discovered a traveler sick and lost in the snow, dragging him to a nearby cave, she remained there, keeping the young man in good health until he was strong enough to venture out on his own. She learned a lot from him, he was a mapmaker, he showed her the outer world she wanted to see so bad, told her of all the different beings, the humans, the Gerudo, all of them. Fascinated, and interested, it didn’t take long for Kitsuna to want to be there as well.
However, secretly, something else was happening to Kitsuna, the human just seemed so interesting. Was it wrong for her to feel something for the man? In a way she felt so, considering she was a simple fox, and he was a human. Yet, if only she was human… then maybe… When the two parted that day, something imprinted on her, freedom, she wanted to be human. Particularly, be able to traverse the world around her, to go beyond the mountains.
One day, while venturing the mountains, she came across a hut within the depths of the Peak Province’s blizzard ravaged lands. Remembering a story her mother told her of a witch who travelled across the lands granting people wishes and giving them curses. Walking to the door, an old hag answered, looking down on her and saying, “You wish to be human; I can see it in your eyes.” How she knew was a mystery to Kitsuna, though maybe she simply glowed with the wish.
The witch told Kitsuna that she could make her a human, but he Fox form would be forever cursed within her as a price. Kitsuna couldn’t decide whether or not to do it, but the witch used trickery and magic into making her believe that the traveler she once saw wanted her to be this way as well. Agreeing, the witch felled a curse upon Kitsuna, and in the grand swirl of dark sorcery and powerful runes, she fell unconscious. Little did she know, she had made a horrible mistake…
Not only did she curse her, but she took her life from her. Kitsuna was no longer simply a fox, but a fox-spirit.
She awoke the next day in the dirt. Feeling much different than usual, upon viewing her body, she realized she had indeed turned into a human, and with some experimentation, learned that she could change in and out of her current form whenever she felt. She returned to her family to show her amazing power, but was immediately shunned; they referred to her as a disgrace and feared that her curse could prove dangerous for her and everyone around her.
Anyone who was smart took that as a warning to leave, and Kitsuna started to realize how horrible it was being a human. You were always cold; your two damn legs got caught on everything. It was absolutely dreadful. Soon after, she found herself preferring her animal form to her human form after all, and seriously wished on calling off this damn curse. When she returned to the witch’s home, she found it was gone; like it had simply vanished in the wind.
Almost like it never existed…
Right when poor Kitsuna thought it couldn’t get any worse, she was travelling the fields of Lanayru when nighttime came; it was cloudy at first, but when the moon reared its head upon her. She felt a horrible feeling, like she was losing part of herself; and then suddenly, everything went black. The next day, she awoke to being locked in a cage, this is of course in her fox-form. She was being taken to the city. A group of hunters looked down at her as they walked.
“One helluva catch you got here, Rido!”
“Did you see that? It was huge! ‘bout the size of a tree, huh?”
“Well, it isn’t so big now, better get big again; I want the most out of this thing when I turn it in!”
As she listened, she heard a story of Kitsuna becoming a large monster, and attacking their campsite, they must have caught her- she couldn’t believe what she was hearing, that and she seriously needed to get out of here. Of course, like any Fox, she was cunning. And suddenly reverted to her human form. She tried to speak out, where she realized that her muteness as a fox did carry on with her human-form and was forced to catch their attention by taping on the wood flooring.
“H-h-h-holy Nayru, Rido! It’s a woman!”
“Holy shit? Is she a witch?”
“Nah maybe she’s one of dem Minish folk, stop the cart!”
Of course they would stop for a nude fox-woman now replacing the Fox they had caught ravaging the plains, and upon expecting them, she noticed one had a key for the lock on the cage. Motioning to him in a ‘come hither’ way, she took advantage of his stupidity by slamming is face into the rails and reaching for the key. Quickly, with the men now rounding to attack, she unlocked the door, kicked it open and threw herself out in fox form.
Right when she thought she had gotten away, she turned to see they were following her, and she was actually rather close to the gates of Hyrule castle. Sprinting through she got herself lost in the city. For a while, she felt helpless, it wasn’t until the night of a full moon that something happened to her again. Sneaking about the trash dumps around the town, the moon shine don her once again. And as she felt herself losing control, she had actually accidently staggered out of its view.
It was here, that she discovered that her fox-form truly was cursed, and that the full-moon seemed to make it changed. And from what those men explained, she changed into a monster.
What could she do? She was stuck in the middle of a big city with absolutely nothing for herself. That’s what she thought at least. One day she found that travelling circus she saw many years ago. Sneaking inside she would watch the acts from the banisters up-high. However, one day, upon a silly slip she accidently fell in on one of their acts. The crowd watched in surprise thinking she was actually part of the act in itself. Especially considering she flew out of nowhere.
Even the Circus performers were somewhat confused. She spotted a couple flaming rings, and thought, “what the hell~’ and dived through them, it was a lot of fun performing like she did. This is how Kitsuna got in so well with the circus she is apart of now. Afterward, they couldn’t help but let her join, she was perfect too, it seemed by being a fox, her human form was incredibly limber, so she was able to do some awesome stuff…
I guess you can say that being a cursed fox-spirit wasn’t so bad anymore. Now she lives in Hyrule castle, happy? Yes. Dangerous? Yep… but she was at least under control of it…
For now.
EXTRAS,
Considering she’s an Albino, who are commonly born with defects within their nervous system and their muscles. She’s suffered from muteness since the day she was born, considering her nervous system is actually a little wacked up too she can’t feel certain area’s of her body. This goes for her fox form and her human form, it also results in the fingers/paws on her left arm being somewhat stiff, and her face not being able to properly show emotion. Despite this, with the use of mimicry, sign language and writing she can communicate rather well. Also, she writes exceptionally fine, almost to a professional degree.
Let’s just say that she can do some of the grossest stuff you will ever think to see on the human body. She’s been practicing it for years, starting because she loved the idea of being limber and getting her human-form as bendy as her fox-form, she can literally roll into a ball, Slide her torso between her legs, turn her head at sickening angles. It’s really gross sometimes. However, the worse part is when she starts popping bones, it’s just so nasty, she’s been known to make people gag with that. Or just outright puke. She actually decided to work at a circus, which has proven to be perfect for her.
