APPEARANCE,
Papagor is bigger than the average goron, easily standing a head(A big head at that) taller than most fully grown human and Hylian men. That said, most of this distance comes from his towering torso and matching thick arms as Papagor's thin legs make up less than half of his height. The goron's stature is accommodatingly wide, needing to stand two average human men shoulder to shoulder before him to cover his chest. This means that most doors built by cultures other than his own are ill-equipped to receive Papagor's entry. Like most of his race intricate patterns of slightly-lighter orange and brown decorate Papagor's bare, earth-colored skin and the emblem of his race appears in dark brown on the outer side of each forearm, below the shoulders.
The adult goron's pride and joy is his full, brown beard, which hangs prominently from his chin and the sides of his face. To keep attention to it the hair on his head is always tied up into a top that keeps it out of the way. Papagor's eyebrows are also impressively thick. The only clothing he claims as his own are strips of white cloth wrapped around his wrists and ankles.

HISTORY,
To call goron society closed off from the rest of Hyrule would be unfair, but few wouldn't understand where you were coming from. Being dug below the ground of active volcanoes tends to make a city unattractive as a tourist location. Papagor grew up in Goron City beneath the mighty Death Mountain as it spewed flaming chunks of molten rock into the sky each day. It was here that he lived, mined, ate and relaxed much like other gorons did, well into the prime of his life. He learned, grew and aged within goron culture and gained knowledge of the lands below only from the few travelers brave enough to venture to their home, usually from no farther than the nearby Kakariko Village at the mountain's base.
One day, however, Papagor simply couldn't take it anymore. He was a happy goron with nothing to want for in life or in friends, but all of a sudden nothing satisfied him at all. He was not overcome with greed and desire for more material things or a gluttonous urge to consume more rocks, he simply felt greatly unfulfilled. What had he accomplished with his time? What had he missed out on? It was a mid-life crisis perhaps?
It was during this time that Papagor became one of the few gorons to wander down from Death Mountain for no reason other than to travel. He would leave their greatest source of food behind, but he was determined to make due with common stones if need be. There had to be something in Hyrule that was worth living for!
Call it fate or simply bad luck, a fisherman had traveled to Kakariko to sell food to the villagers when Papagor arrived in town. As the goron passed by he heard the man bragging about a fantastic catch and witnessed with his own eyes for the first time what was called a "fish". Without a second thought and without even getting beyond the base of Death Mountain in his search for meaning Papagor's path was set. That creature which had been plucked from some watery home, easily the length of the fisherman's arm, was not even going to compare to the catches he would make. Soon enough this goron would be remembered for his great accomplishments in the noble sport of fishing all throughout Hyrule and the world over! No sea creature would be safe from his masterful catching ability!
Now he just had to learn how this "fishing" thing was done...
EXTRAS,
Papagor actually prefers sedimentary rocks to igneous rocks, which is an unusual preference.
