Kaythenia didn't quite meet Youkai's eyes as he headed towards the door and made to leave her alone for the night, she only breathed again once the Knight had exited the room and his footsteps echoed further away down the hall. Her first response was to get up from her seat on the bed and lock the door, after a moment's hesitation she put a chair underneath the handle. It may not do a huge amount but it was better for her peace of mind, next she bolted the windows securely and drew the heavy linen curtains shut with a sigh. She thought about what Youkai had said but she knew in the pit of her stomach that she wouldn't take him up on the offer...although it felt better to know that someone else knew about her situation, it wasn't fair to put someone else in the middle of the entire mess. Youkai's intentions were good but Kaythenia didn't think she could take the risk, better to make a move in the morning at sunrise before he decided to turn up here.
She unlaced the corset around her waist in silence and pulled her swallow tailed sleeve shirt over her head, she would sleep in her sleeveless undershirt and shorts tonight and keep her daggers close to hand. There was nothing wrong with being cautious...she sat down on the bed and removed her boots. For now she would rest and revive herself, in the morning she would leave by first cucco crow, with a sigh she pulled back the covers and lowered the lantern lights.
"I'm sorry." Kaythenia muttered even though no one could hear her as she climbed into the bed and stared into the blackness before finally falling asleep.
