It was quiet. Too quiet. The kind of quiet that stalked over your shoulder breathing in your ear when you least expect it. It was a haunting, pesky, annoying little tune deaf to all ears, and it put a halt on Midna's patience. With one arm pressed against the arm of her throne, she nestled her head gently against the palm of her hand, her crimson eyes closed as her brows furrowed slightly.
Usually, it was quite active in the palace, but today seemed a bit off. The day wasn't completed without one of her servants having a fuss over something going wrong. It would seem that she'd have to resurrect this dead zone into what should be a palace again~
And she knew exactly who to call to help her out with this matter. Opening up her scarlet eyes, she lifted her heard up off of the throne, letting out an obnoxious yawn, before stretching out her stiff limbs. It was time to get up off of that silly excuse of a chair they called a throne. There was so much to do with so little time, and the Princess wasn't going to be waiting until her crowning day in order to have a little fun~! So an idea spurred up for the moment, and she could only hope that her mischievous servants were up to par with what she had in mind.
"Yaya~ Taya," she hummed, calling out her adorable companions in a sort of sing-song tone, "Come out, come out, wherever you are~"

There is not much that Chataya gets excited about. Small children? She hates them. Flowers? Blegh. Traveling? Just kill her quickly if she has to travel! There is a very, very small number of things that Chataya wakes up for. Only two... There are only two things that Chataya enjoys. One being her twin sister Alyaya... The other was calling her name.
"Princess Midna." Chataya stopped what she was doing (which was really just sitting around, doing nothing, so really, she started doing something...) to answer Princess Midna's call. "Alyaya, come." When it came to Princess Midna, Chataya aimed to please, and she could never be late or ignore the Princess' beckoning call.
Chataya dragged her heavy boots across the floor to make her way to where the sound of Midna's voice was coming from. Her pace was slow and sluggish, slow enough to allow Alyaya to catch up. That was preferred, actually. When Alyaya was away, Chataya's mind grew fuddled and... not pleasant. But there was nothing to worry about for now, Alyaya was probably only a little bit behind her.
After turning a few corners, Chataya was face to face with the Sovereign. Half-lidded eyes gazed upon the woman. It always looked like Chataya was sleepy, or bored... lethargic, even, but at this moment, she surely was not. Forcing a smile, Chataya grabbed the hem of her skirt and made herself curtsy for a second. Being polite was a hard task, but Chataya tried her hardest for Midna.
Once her attempted formalities were over, she waited for her sister to do the talking.

There isn't much that Alyaya didn't get excited about. When she said she loved everything, she meant it. She especially loved cute things and fluffy things and most of all, she loved pink things. Maybe that was why she didn't love the palace as much as she should have; it was pretty and elegant, sure, but it was just so blah. Yaya loved color, pink bright happy things. And Chataya, of course; even if her younger twin sister wasn't pink or bright or happy, she loved the girl all the same.
Her head shot up when her name was called, and a bubbly grin played about her lips as she looked from her sister to the hall and back to her sister. "Princess~" she half-shouted, half-sang, and she popped up onto her feet, her skirt and oversized sleeves twirling about. She paused for a moment, mesmerized by the pretty swirling pink trimming, but she was smacked out of her reverie by Chataya calling her name. "'Kay~!" she called, and she skipped after Taya, her boots making a light clicking sound as she trailed slightly behind her slow, sleepy sister.
After following Taya around a few corners, Alyaya skidded to a halt as they approached Princess Midna. Yaya grinned at the Sovereign and stood up perfectly straight, raising her right hand to her forehead in a failed imitation of a salute. Formalities were as hard for Yaya as they were for Taya, though for the bubbly Twili, it was more because of her inability to sit still than anything. So when the girl spoke with an easy causality to Princess Midna, some might see it as a kind of disrespect, but that was simply how the girl was.
"So, Princess, what's goin' on today~?" she asked, her cheerful smile never faltering.

Upon awaiting her servants to heed her call, the Twilight Sovereign took a glance around the throne room, thinking about having a few things refurnished. Everything was so old fashioned! Wasn't there an interior decorator that managed the layout of this castle? Now that she thought about it, probably not. This castle was so old she couldn't remember what date it was built in. Now she was a bright student in her studies and all, but there were still a few mysteries around here yet to be solved.
Midna was pleased that the girls were not only nearby, but heeded her call so diligently. Scarlet eyes fell upon the T'sulos twins flickering with amusement. The term 'as different as night and day' was quite clearly an understatement with her precious twili. The concept behind that was quite entertaining actually~ Chataya, a dark, and brooding child but nonetheless held such devotion that it was quite moving, aiming to please her highness in a moment's notice. Alyaya, however, was a walking ball of light wherever she went. Midna couldn't help but muse at the thought that she might have been exposed to the Sols as an infant on how bright she was.
She could already sense the cringes her attendants who faithfully stood at the side were doing. The scolding they would want to put the upon children, but with the Princess there, and monitoring everything, they bit their tongue. Children? Never been a problem for her, probably from the fact that, she too, was a bit on the immature side. She like to think of it in the sense that every person was a kid at heart. Including the snooty attendants that minded every action the Princess did. Though their eyes were ever watching, not once giving way of any friendliness from any fiber of their being.
"I'm afraid to say... nothing," she informed the dynamic duo. Though the glint in her eyes would tell them otherwise that, that would surely change. Yes, there should never be a dull moment around here, otherwise it would lose interest, and become boring. Boring was never an acceptable concept. "Let's change that, shall we?" she suggested with a devious smile, "I have a job for you two~ It would seem that my Messengers have disappeared from face of the palace. Per chance of any of you seen them? If not, that's fine, but I would like for you to search for them, and give them a good lecture for me, will you, my sweeties? By any means necessary, and if they have any quarrels with you, tell them to come to me."
Sicking the T'sulos twins on her messengers was quite a prank, but Midna was not above being a prim and proper princess. She knew that'd start a heap of fuss with some of her more... dutiful servants, but it was, after all a little fun~

By any means necessary...
The words echoed in Chataya's mind. It was rare for her to show emotion, but this simple sentence caused a light smirk to appear on her lips. "By any means... necessary..." Chataya's rapier was held loosely in her hand, but as she spoke, her grip grew a little tighter. She lifted the blade in front of her face to stare at her reflection.
"By any means necessary..." Suddenly, her eerie gaze shifted to the Sovereign. "Intimidation?" As she was now, Chataya was probably not that intimidating... get her sister away from her, and that was a whole other story. Chataya licked her lips and gazed back at her sword. Slowly, she let it down to her side again.
The creepy twin glanced at Alyaya through the corner of her eyes, waiting to see what plans her sister had.
