PERSONALITY,

Cael appears to be rather simple when first meeting him, but he is more complicated than that. His most obvious trait is his brash stubbornness, because it is this that gets him in the most trouble with others. He is blunt, and not many people like this about him. He simply tells it how he sees it, and as a way to push others away before they get to know him. He is the type to run reckless into a situation, not too keen on thinking things through. Honestly, the whole 'think-before-you-act' could benefit him quite well. Cael is not all that polite, and his rather crude manner of speaking often garner him contemptuous looks and glares. It hardly matters to him at all, because he has never needed anyone to take care of him. [He does care, but too many years of being shunned have closed him off.] First impressions leave him as a rude, uncouth, and brash young man. Partly, yes, but there is much more to him than that mask.

Cael is quite kind beneath the bluntness, and is the type to stop and help someone should they need it. Yes, he'll complain and moan about it, but he has a soft heart. He is also quite loyal to anyone that does get his trust, and is not afraid to place his life on the line to protect them. His trust is certainly hard to gain, and Cael often pushes everyone away before they can even attempt to get it. Most of the time he is by himself, but there is a part of him that craves attention and company. Being by himself is something he hates, but he'll certainly never admit that. Again, it's his issue with trust that keeps him from finding friends. If there is one thing that does get his blood rushing is a good fight, because the adrenaline rush is where Cael can find himself the most happy. [As close to it as he can get.] Really, he is kind and sensitive beneath all of it. At times, Cael also displays a rare intuition into human emotions, and can be understanding to those that really do need the comfort. His rough and gruff persona will drop, and he lends an ear for listening.

APPEARANCE,

Cael is rather handsome in a unkempt sort of way, but he is oblivious to that fact. He appears rather exotic to anyone not used to seeing a Minish, and his odd style of dress gains him many looks as well. His hair color is a snowy white with a silver sheen; the length of his hair falling past his hips. Quite luxurious in a way that would make many women jealous, and he does not even brush it all that much! Silver bangs fall lazily over his golden eyes, with two shorter locks of hair framing his tanned face well. His most distinguishing feature are the two adorable, white dog ears upon his head. They always appear to twitch in any direction, trying to hear everything around him. He has the bad luck of women fawning over them, and tweaking them. Seriously, he hates that. [Even if it does make him purr like a cat.] His body is rather lean, having a slim athletic frame that is toned quite nicely. His height is a little on the tall side, reaching six feet easily enough.

His style of dress is quite common in his Minish tribe, but appears quite traditional to the more modern Hyrule. Underneath his crimson garb is a white undershirt, as dressing in layers in Snowpeak is a must. Over that is his red haori, the sleeves quite long and etched in black thread. His pants are crimson hakama that poof out before cinching closed around his ankle. Cael does not wear shoes, because he finds that constricting and too troublesome to bother with. Good luck getting him into a pair, because he will throw a fit if forced. Over this is his pair of rosary beads, which he always wears with him at all times.

A very old rosary that his mother gave him before she died. Cael wears this all the time, and it is decorated with a few fangs from his ancestors.

Animal Form
As Cael is a wolf Minish, his form is that of a rather handsome, large white wolf. He appears rather vicious, but that may be from his constant sneering while in this form. The animal form lasts for three posts and then has a cooldown of three more posts.


Invisibility
Cael can temporarily turn invisible, meaning the enemy cannot target him in the next turn; if he find himself in an area-of-effect attack, he are still vulnerable, however. Meanwhile, a physical attack used while Invisible deals more damage than usual (an extra level of damage). Invisibility only lasts for one turn, and has a cooldown of five posts.

HISTORY,

Caelum was born to quite an old Minish tribe that lived within the snows of Snowpeak. The path that lead to his birth would cast a dark cloud on him for his entire life, as his tribe was in a dire time where they were desperately looking for their 'Wise One.' This chosen leader was always female, and had hair the color of virgin snow. Their previous Wise One had long ago perished, and those of direct blood to her were frantic to give birth to such a child. This is where Caelum's mother wished to provide her tribe with the one they so sought, and so she went outside of the tribe to find a suitable husband for such an heir. She found her answer in quite a handsome Minish from a rival tribe that her own would no doubt oppose, but she seduced the male with her whims. It was not long after that she found out she was with child, and so she eagerly prayed and waited for the birth of her child. Kohaku, as her name was, knew that her child would be special, but when she returned to her tribe, she was shunned for allowing herself to be soiled by an unworthy male. All she held to her was the hope that her child would be the one everyone had been waiting for.

It was on the same night that Kohaku would finally give birth to her child, along with that of one of her cousins. The midwife had at first become elated to see the white crown of hair the baby held, but it was soon made known that her child was male. The Wise One always had to be female, and Kohaku was ridiculed further for giving birth to a snowy haired male. Her cousin had been the one praised and loved for bringing a white haired female into the world, and she was named Jamie. All of her hardships appeared to have been for nothing, and she wanted to hate her child, but she could not. Even if he was not the one that would be chosen, she loved him for her was her own. The Tribe was satisfied to know that their Tana had returned at last, but treatment did not improve for Kohaku or Caelum at all. He was the son of an outsider, and from an enemy tribe at that. His childhood was spent being teased and sneered at by those his age. Even adults looked down upon him for having the white hair only the Wise One should have.

Surprisingly, there was one child his age that did not look down upon him. Cael was often comforted by Jamie, the next to become the Wise One. It appeared even she was not too interested in becoming their leader, because she was more interested in enjoying her childhood. It was nice to have a friend for Cael, and he tried to spend as much time as he could with his cousin. Their friendship was frowned upon, and when Jamie was kept busy with her duties, then Cael was left alone to play by himself. Only his mother offered him comfort, guilty and saddened by what her actions had placed upon her child. When he had become a young teen, his mother eventually became ill. Cael did everything in his power to try and bring her back to health, even begging those that wanted nothing to do with him for help. Only a few attempted to help, and it was a half heart attempt at best. Left alone, he could only watch as Kohaku became more weak. On her deathbed, she told him of his father, and that he had attempted to find Cael once. She had turned him away, not wanting more trouble for the two of them. She told him that the tribe were known as 'Grey,' and it was part of who he was.

He was given his mother's necklace, and a sword his father had left him should he ever wish to seek him out. Cael cried when she passed, and it was when his one protector died that everything changed for him. He lashed out at everyone that dared to try and mess with him, getting into numerous fights with other males. Even Jamie was pushed away, and he irrationally blamed her for every wrong he had been given. Their friendship dissolved, and Cael became a loner, hiding away his own aching heart from the world. Nothing really changed in the years after, and Cael only watched with bitterness as Jamie was meant to complete the two steps into becoming the Elder their tribe so desperately wished. To go through the tattoo ritual, where various marking were inked onto her skin to display her wisdom and the fact she would endure the pain of others to be a true Wise One. The second part came where Jamie would go out into the word to seek a suitable husband to continue her line. The only problem was that it was taking her two years, and not a few months as was expected.

The tribe grew worried and panicked, and someone had to be sent out into Hyrule to bring back the wayward Minish. Cael took this as a chance to leave his prejudiced tribe, and to prove himself to all those that had mocked him. He volunteered, and no one opposed of it. [Honestly, many would have been glad to be rid of the shame he represented to Tana's line.] So he left his tribe, first going out to seek his father. He eventually found his old man, but was also disgusted to learn he had abandoned another child. He learned he had a half brother out there somewhere, but even with his apologies, Cael wanted nothing to do with him. Finally leaving Snowpeak, he goes in search of both Jamie and perhaps his half sibling as well.
