The forest was alive, breathing with the light wind that whisked its way through the trees, speaking with the sound of rustling leaves and bubbling streams, its inhabitants darting to and fro both seen and unseen. Deep in at the forests heart was the Minish village, Dahnee's village, to so many of her people it was home; the gardens, the ranches, markets and performances, the other Minsh thrived in their little corner of the world, but their leader was miles away at the edge of the forest. Dah's bright blue eyes looked out over the fields of Hyrule, she stood on a line between the comfortable and dangerous, unknown world beyond. Her blood raced, she could taste adventure on the air, beating through her veins and the thought of all the mysteries beyond the forests shelter, it made her heart ache.
The sun was dipping below the far frost covered mountains, stretching the shadows of trees and rocks, drenching the green fields in a golden light. Dahnee sank to her knees, settling onto the ground to watch the coming of night, her father would be furious that she'd shirked her responsibilities as chief for the third time this week, but she couldn't bear to sit through yet another boring meeting about livestock while the world was waiting for her out here.
A rustling from behind her startled Dah and she scrambled to crouch behind the nearest tree. It sounded like someone was coming her way, but the setting sun made it nearly impossible to see into the woods. She took a deep breath and regained her cool, standing up she peeked from behind the tree, "Hello? She half expected a bunny to come hoping out of the bushes, but she waited for a response, a familiar excitement growing in her chest at the thought that prehaps it was more then a rabbit, that maybe adventure had finally come to whisk her away to unknown lands, through unknown danger. An equally recognizable seed of doubt was there as well, but the girl grinned as she waited, ever hopeful.

Rennal stumbled through the bushes, cursing. Why was this forest so bloody huge? After leaving that camper to himself, he'd started for inside to get his fairy, met someone called Mindfang, and then tried to make his way back unsuccessfully. He was lost.
And then he heard a little voice. "Hello?"
He stopped, unsure of whether he'd actually heard anything or whether his hunger was making him hallucinate. Either way, he answered back. "Is someone there?"
OoC: Sorry so short, busy. XD

(OoC: NP, I totally understand lol, equally as sorry >,<) A man stumbled through the bushes a few feet ahead, just to the left of where Dahnee had been looking, she adjusted herself accordingly, turning her body slightly to look at him head on. He was taller than her, most everyone was, with raven black hair; all in all he looked lost.
"What are you doing?" Dah gave him a look of mixed emotion that questioned not only his whereabouts, but also his sanity. People didnt just wonder around the Minish forest, especially not this close to sunset, but here he was, whoever he was.

Rennal looked around, and eventually set his eyes on a small blonde woman, no taller than five feet, by the looks of it. He blinked, wondering what a girl like her could be doing in a place like this. And then he noticed the nubs on her head. She was Minish. Why was her hair so blasted long? He looked her up and down before answering her. "A bit lost, trying to find my way out. Confounded camper, next time he can get his own fairy."
Then he chuckled. "Yeah, that's my story. At least for being lost."

Dahnee raised an eyebrow, 'confounded camper', she hadnt the slightest what he was talking about, but he said he was lost so that part made enough sense.
"Lost, of course you're lost, everyone gets lost in the forest," Dah gave a quick chuckle, "unless you live there of course." She brushed a bit of golden hair behind her ear, standing up a bit straighter.
"Maybe I can help, what are you looking for?" she smiled genuinely, most of the forest folk enjoyed playing tricks on the hopelessly lost and while Dah was usually no exception, there was always the rare instance when the idea of actually helping someone tricked into her conscience.

Dahnee had been absent from another meeting this week.
'That girl...Hard to believe we're twins sometimes. I wonder where she could have gone off to.' Scratch that. She had a general idea of where she could be. 'The edge of the woods again.' She sighed aloud, and made some excuse to her father as to why she was going out so late at night. Gathering mushrooms late at night was a common exercise of hers.
She grabbed her pouch purse that contained her materials and headed out to find the elusive Dahnee.
As she reached the edge of the woods she could scarcely make out a faint 'hello' and an equally quiet reply that was harder to hear. She moved closer and crouched in the bush. She bleeted quietly to alert her sister to her presence but hopefully not loud enough for the other person to hear as well.

Rennal laughed out loud. "You live here, huh?" Finally, he gestured to her hair, before he could even think of asking for a way out of the forest. "Why is your hair so long? That must be fun to brush," he said mockingly, glad his hair never grew longer than the nape of his neck.
Then the bleating noise. "I also wonder if all Minish make that strange noise."

Dah laughed, her hair twisted of its own accord pulling leaves and a few twigs from its own golden tresses, "No need, it takes care of itself," Dah smiled a bit wider then was natural, but didnt bother to explain why her parasitic hair was A. unnaturally long and B. why it groomed itself. She heard the soft bleating of her sister, more often then not people would have missed it or simply taken it for another sound of the forest as it was basically decernable from that of a goat or, as she and her sister were, fawns. this boy must have incredible hearing, Dahnee thought, but she ignored his question for the most part.
"Alyra," the minish chief used a sing-song voiice to call her sister out, no sense hiding if he knew she was there, besides, he seemed relatively harmless, "Sister, meet the newest stranger to these lost woods" Dah smiled that big creepy grin, she hoped to unnerve hime, he helpful attitude had quickly shifted to a more mischievous one.

Rennal nodded, not feeling in a modd to be very nice, especially with the way she was acting right now. What the hell? The grin was spooky. "Oh, nice to meet you?" He said, hoping whoever it was wasn't as weird as her. "I'm R... Iadar. And you two?"

Alyra paused. He shouldn't have been able to hear that noise let alone distinguish that a Minish had made it. Dah's hearing along with many other Minish was very sensitive so they could hear things normal humans could not. Well this man already seemed less than normal. Her sister's crazy grin didn't help her feel safer either. It meant she was up to no good.
She crawled slowly out of the bush she was hiding in then ran to her sisters side. "Dad's been worried. You missed another meeting." She glance at the man, Iadar, shady as he was. "Can we just go home now? It's late...and dark." The dark part was really just an excuse. She just didn't want to stay out here any longer than she had too. Being Minish they could see better in the dark than most, not perfectly, but better.
She shivered as she looked back across the field at the edge of the forest. Not a place she wanted to be.

Rennal frowned as the small Minish basically disregarded him. He was used to being ignored, but it still put him in a bad mood. "Are you really in so much of a hurry?" He said, trying to keep his cool. "I mean, I realize as Minish you probably have a lot to do, but there's a lot I would like to know."
Like whether the field beyond was Hyrule Field, and whether they actually trusted him.
