The bane of being an introvert. You really couldn't tell if you should be offended by such a remark or rather flattered. Grey found it to be rather trivial things that inflated the shallow surface of egos most mortals had. It was strange, but Lír didn't indulge in such small things. As far as he was concerned, it didn't matter if you were the next top model or Hyrule's ugliest troll, so long as you had the strength to live. To survive, and learn how to overcome any obstacles that cross your path, then you had significance in this world of magic, and monsters. He couldn't help but wonder how this young woman managed to survive out within this terrain. Oh yeah, that's right, she had a dangerous short tempered sister, who swings around a sword to match his own.
He was learning the ropes, but it seemed to have come natural to him. The way she didn't protest as he lifted her head up so that his gold eyes peered into her carmine ones. It was rather sweet. Looking down upon the petite fairy, his glistening silver locks fell over his shoulder creating a curtain of sorts. It wasn't until then that he noticed how similiar their colors their shades were. He couldn't help but muse over the thought on how much more red could a girl get? Only one way to find out for sure.
"Oh?" he asked in a rather leisurely tone. As she voiced her comment, his golden optics flickered with amusement, that soft smile still upon his lips. In one quick motion, he attempted to adjust himself but snow caught onto his footing. In one ungraceful fashion, he slid on top of Ani, his hands quickly lifting his weight off of her, not wanting to crush the girl under his weight. He couldn't help but thank the stars above his tail was... long. Still, inadvertly, he pounced on the girl without as much of a thought to what had happened. His eyes peering down at her again as finding a change in pace in his heart rate.
That was new...

Ani was just shy of becoming even more of a stuttering mess as he continued to gaze down at her like that. Was he finding this amusing? Trying to see how red the little fairy could get before she combusted? Part of her wished to be mad, but how could she after his kindness? Grey certainly could have left her after she healed him, but he saved her from those Wolfos, and was making sure she did not succumb to the cold now. If he wished to try and gauge her shy reactions, then she would allow him to do so. It was not like she had really protested the attention she was receiving, and Ani was only burying herself deeper with her inept comments. At least he appeared to not have taken any offense, and so Ani was quite glad for that small miracle. She had a penchant for saying anything when she got far too flustered and nervous. Like at this exact moment, and she really could not find it within herself to look away from him.
Her heartbeat was picking up, beating at an unsteady pace against her chest. Well, she no longer felt cold at all, and she felt just a little too overheated than needed. Whether it was from the heat his tail emanated, or from her own blushing, she could no longer tell. She noticed that his silver hair was sliding over his shoulder, the shimmering strands nearly melting together with her own. The hues were so close, and she saw her own as just a shade darker. Wide eyes peered back up at Grey, hoping he would not push her too far. Ani was one to try and please others, but certainly not at the price of her comfort. He was already pushing her personal boundaries quite a bit, but she did not mind. She did sense that he was interested in trying to gauge her reactions all the more. Oh, why did he have to find her flustered reactions amusing to witness?
Ani had the strange desire to just melt at the sound of his voice merely uttering that one syllable. What was wrong with her? At least someone was quite amused with her embarrassment, and his smile was rather enchanting to see for herself. All of her thoughts ceased as Grey made a slight movement, and she found herself falling backward. The fur of his tail kept her head from meeting the rough stone of the wood, but now he was on top of her. His hands were placed on either side of her head, keeping his weight from landing upon her rather uncomfortably. Dazed at the unforeseen action, the young woman blinked owlishly. Now the silver strands of his hair were creating a curtain around the two of them, with her own spread out beneath her head like a halo. She realized her hands had come to rest upon his chest when they had fallen, and Ani blinked as she registered that. No doubt when she regained her senses she would be glowing like a cherry. Oddly, Ani could feel the quickening of his own heart against her fingers.
"Your heart is racing," she remarked calmly, quite at odds with how she normally would have reacted.

His amusement wasn't by any means sadistic but rather fascinated by her reactions. For some strange reason, it was something in the color her skin took, the way the blood rushed throughout her body so quick, and hastily. It was like a magnet of sorts for Lír. Perhaps it was all of the deprivation piled up on him from all of those years of living alone getting to him now. An unknown attraction that pulled him closer, but he couldn't explain it with words why he felt such feelings. Then again ever since he encountered the girl in the first place, it was as if everything had began to change not only all around him, but inside as well.
"Your own has been racing all night," he replied back coyly. Moonlight yellow eyes danced with amusement, tempting, teasing as if riled up by the night's enchantment it had upon the wolf minish. Perhaps he was getting a little too much amusement from this all. His breath was soft, and low as he leaned close to the girl, examining her face, noticing the gentle but hard curves that formed her jawline. The way her small face was framed daintily as if she was one with the snow. The only thing that brought her apart was the fact that she blushed so red, she looked alive, and it reminded him this was real. She wasn't a ghost.
"If this is uncomfortable... all you have to do is say the word. I'll leave you alone," he mentioned softly into her ear. Grey was rather interested in her reaction if she would protest towards his advances. Being this close was already a strain on the girl, but he couldn't find it in himself to leave her alone. At least not yet, not while she was still in his grasp. When he first met her, her lips were so pale, they looked nearly purple. Now that she's warmed up quite a bit, they've managed to take on a pink tint. He lifted up his index finger tracing ever so tenderly over the soft lines of her lips.

Ani was quite surprised she had not fainted as of yet. She was feeling quite light headed with his constant actions that invaded her personal space, and she had to wonder if he was going this to amuse himself as well. Oh, if Aya had caught them in this position, none of her protests would have stopped her twin from attempting to skewer the male. Why was it that she was blushing like a ripe cherry, and he was as calm and collected as ever? Oh, that was because Ani was far too timid and skittish for her own good. His amusement was rather endearing to witness, like a child fascinated by something that was entirely new. Perhaps this was akin to that, since Grey had admitted to always living within Snowpeak. Ani was quite accustomed to trying to make others happy, and so she did not protest his notso innocent curiosity. [Honestly, she was enjoying the close contact and attention he was giving her.] The young fairy was even more dazed at the thought, and so she merely just laid quietly beneath him. A dazed, eerily calm mess of herself.
As if in answer to his remark, or to spite her, her heart raced a little more quickly against her chest. No doubt he could hear the betraying beat quite easily with his senses, and Ani was quite glad for her light headed quality at the moment. It was saving her from stuttering and blushing, and she really did think too soon on the latter. Cheeks darkened again, her brow quirking at the amusement and teasing that showed in his golden eyes. Oh, Goddesses, was he even leaning closer? Part of her wanted to begin hyperventilating, and the other part had her staying quiet and observant like he was of her. His eyes were falling the contours of her face, and Ani could feel his warm breath against her heated cheeks. He was curious, but he knew exactly what he was doing to her. There was a soft quality to his own features, but Ani found that it only made him appear all the more ethereal. A handsome quality that she had never seen on any other males she had encountered. [Not that she had ever been up close and personal like this with anyone else.]
Carmine eyes widened at the whispered words by her ear, and she shivered beneath him. It certainly was not from the cold, and not at all unpleasant. Lír was purposely doing this to her, but she could not find any resolve to turn him away. It was certainly too familiar, because they had only met tonight. Purely on accident, and she still knew so little about him. Her heart was still racing, but a hazy calm had descended upon her. It was such a strange sensation, and her carmine eyes close halfway. His index finger was soon tracing the outline of her lips. What was he trying to do to her? Her lips parted beneath his fingertip, a warm exhale escaping with the action. "No," she murmured, answering his earlier statement.

It was always the introverted ones you had to look out for. Honestly, how could one justify these actions as nothing more than curiosity? The quiet wolf stared at the girl thoroughly with fascination, and... desire. His mind brushed it off as nothing more than a deprived craving to give, and recieve attention that had been locked away. In the end, he could not help but resent himself for being this way. An opportunist who took little regards for the security he appeared to be breaching on so many levels. The sad part is that despite his own mental protest nobody else was there to stop him from commiting such movements on the girl.
Not to mention she made no hints or gave any signs of wanting him to stop. The color on her cheeks was a rather vivid shade so that implied to him that she was more than willing to put up with his immaturity. What did she have to gain out of this? A self-gratitude of being the center of attention? No. She wasn't that selfish, but it was an impecable triviality that puzzled him slightly. Fairies were interesting creatures nonetheless, and if anything very beautiful ones at best.
His moonlight orbs for eyes flickered brightly. So soft, and quiet but it rang like a bell when he heard her answer. His eyebrows furrowed slightly grasping the answer she made, and the choice of her own free will. Now he knew he could not resist himself any further than what he wanted more of. To take what was in his grasp, and give something in return as his face so close to hers broke what little wedge that laid between them. The lunar snow wolf knew that this would not balance out anything between how immoral their actions were. However it would seem that none of it truly mattered in the end. It was a mutual agreement between the quiet pair.
Slowly, he withdrew his hand from her lips, and placed the palm behind her head as a gentle support. Lír lowered his head down pressing his lips against Ani's softly.
There was no turning back.
(-coughs- I think after this thread I'm going to have to revamp Grey a little. Just a little. >3>)

Ani should have been refusing these sudden advances upon her person, because she did not do these kinds of things with males she had just met! She was the good sister, the polite one, the sky one! Not the one that thoroughly succumbed to the whims of a handsome wolf Minish! She knew that she could have asked him to stop, and Lír would have acquiesced to her statement. No, she had not given him any sign of protest or dislike, and this was what confused her. Why was she being so agreeable to his curious advances? Maybe because she wished to be daring for once? Ani hardly knew him, and all she had gained was his name and that he lived here. Nothing about his likes or dislikes, but she did gather he was a curious creature. Perhaps isolation did that, because she felt her own curiosity and want grow. Why was she accepting all of this sudden physical contact so easily? Perhaps because she was curious as well, and he had been kind to her. It was also something that Lír appeared to need for himself, and she could not begrudge him that. He had saved her, and this was certainly not unwanted by her.
Ani could see the furrow of his brow, and she merely smiled sweetly at him. His finger still rested against her lips, and there was a thrum of excitement that went through her. For her, this was a daring adventure that was already settling an addictive taste for her. It was certainly not like the life endangering stunts that her twin did, but she could feel the rapid beating of her heart, along with the warmth that flooded her petite form. Almost like an adrenaline rush, and the anticipation was killing her. Ani realize that she wanted this, and she was okay with being a little selfish at this moment, because Lír was, too. Carmine eyes closed halfway, lips parting as he slowly removed his hand from her lips. Was she ready for this? She pushed any doubting thoughts away, because she was too lost within this moment to care about any consequences that could come from this.
His hand slid behind her head, supporting her as he began to close what little distance there was. Ani soon felt warm lips descend upon her own, and it was a sensation she had never experienced before. Her hands still rested against his chest, and she felt at a slight loss for what to do. This was her first kiss, and being intimate with anyone had not crossed her mind all that much. She was not feeling awkward exactly, but perhaps sorely inexperienced in regards. Why was she still thinking? Ani slowly pressed back against the kiss, not wishing to give Lír the wrong impression. Her eyes slid shut completely, and she knew she was no longer cold anymore. Her entire body felt suffused with warmth, and all she wished for was to drown in it. Her hand slid from his chest, moving to hesitantly rest against his cheek.
