Murder Mystery Contest

Well, I promised you guys a Start-Up Contest, here we go lol

The first contest of the site will be a Murder Mystery Contest, if anyone doesn't know what that is, Sherlock Holmes, Murder She Wrote, that kind of stuff is a prime example.

Basically put, someone died, someone killed them, you gotta figure out who!


Rules:
The Murder Mystery will be completely Member-Driven. This means that you guys have to come up with stuff on your own and write it out. (In a future Contest, I may have a Staff-Driven one)

Members will need to work together to create a thread where someone dies in the beginning and the murderer is discovered near the end.

At least 2 members have to take part in the thread, and all members involved will need to have made 10 posts to qualify for any Rewards the thread wins.

Thread will need to be at least 50 posts long to be submitted as an entry.

The person who dies in the mystery doesn't have to be one of the Member Characters, neither does the actual murderer, both can be NPCs if they so wish.

Can be serious or silly, the murder could have been done with balloons or a knife, however you wish to handle it.

Will be graded on how good the twist it; is it impossible to guess who did it, and if not, too guessable? (Think like the Sixth Sense and other movies like that, dropping hints of who did it, enough to guess at, but not obvious)

Will also be graded on how good the thread is in general; if meant to be serious, does it have good drama? If meant to be silly, is it genuinely funny?

General murder mystery elements like who, why, how, and when will be judged as well in accounting these things, serious or silly.

Is NOT canon, is what we call FICTION, so doesn't matter what happens in the thread.

All Entries should have "(Contest)" in the title, and when you are finished with the thread, please PM it to myself.



Rewards:
First Place: 75 Rupees.
Second Place: 50 Rupees.
Third Place: 30 Rupees.

There is a chance, but not a promise, of honorable mention, should I think any really prove themselves for any reason.

That about sums it up honestly, its really simple, as a first contest should be lol

A couple things to state real quick that were brought to my attention:

1, A member can only be in ONE Contest thread. Note, a MEMBER. You can have 50 characters, you can still only be in one contest thread.

2, Like I said, a minimum of 2 members in each thread, you can have a max of however many you want, but in order to get a prize should that thread win, members have to have posted 10 times. If someone posts 8 times and the other people 10, then the people who posted 10 will get the Reward, but not the person with 8.

Well, there was only one entry to this contest, but hey, an entry is an entry! One of my first RP sites had 5 contests every single week and some of them never even got one, and given this is a "harder" Contest, I'm plenty thrilled lol

While the entry automatically gets first place, there is zero doubt in my mind that it wouldn't have lol

Because they were the only entry and they did an awesome job even though they probably knew they didn't have to, I will be awarding all 3 Prize Levels to them for 155 Rupees each~ Thanks you guys <3

Anyways, we should have our next Contests up shortly, once we figure out how many we wanna do at once lol
