This RP is set at the time of the start of Twilight Princess, but we will not be following the Canon Plot, we will be making our own story.
For detailed information about the setting:
We are still a little over 100 years after Ocarina of Time, following the Child Timeline.
Ganondorf was sent into the Twilight Realm by the Sages, however, he did not kill the Sage of Water.
Midna is still the ruler of the Twilight Realm, Zant was banished after not being picked to become the Twilight Ruler. The Twili are still stuck in the Twilight Realm, for now.
Zelda has not been captured and the Twili are not invading Hyrule, everything is continuing relatively peacefully.
The Light Spirits and the Mirror of Twilight are still whole and watch over the land.
The Oocca are altered a bit, now being more humanoid and have been in contact with Hyrule since relatively shortly after the events of Ocarina of Time.
Link is still running around in Ordona Village with all his friends.
Death Mountain is still calm, Gorons are still friend and Darbus is still the Leader.
Queen Rutela is still alive and ruling the Zora, with Zora's Domain not frozen.
The Temple of Time still lies in ruins, the Hidden Village is still lost to the world, and the Arbiter's Grounds are still sealed and inaccessible.
The Deku, Fairy, Gerudo, Kokiri, and Minish are given their own societies, similar to the games they each have appeared in, as to allow people more Races to RP as.
Monsters roam the land, but people can RP as them if they choose, and can be sentient like many NPCs found in Zelda games. Monsters, though they do have Leader positions, do not participate in the Hyrulian Council like the other Races do, and are self sufficient.
General Setting:
The land of Hyrule is ruled by Princess Zelda, with the Hyrulian Council under her, each seat filled by a member of the different Races.
Only the Monster Race violently opposes Zelda's rule and are absent from the Council, while the others follow their age old traditions of serving the Hylian Royal Family.
The Twili used to be a part of Hyrule, but were sealed into the Twilight Realm several centuries ago, and thus do not serve under Zelda either, and no one in Hyrule knows of their existence. They follow the Twilight Sovereign, currently Princess Midna.
While the Races have different goals and beliefs, aside from the occasional clash over land, they work together in relative harmony.
However, lately, technology has begun to advance in the magical world, and many are wary of it, some, especially those who still remain religious, wish it to be abandoned and forbidden, thus causing a growing strife in the land.
None of what happened in Twilight Princess is happening, or at least, if it does, it won't be following the exact story as the game. |
