General Rules:
Character Creation:
Battle Rules:
Roleplaying:
Quests/Side-Quests Rules:
Activity – Account Deletion:
- Keep in mind that this site is considered the highest level of maturity the Proboards ToS allows, PG-13. We allow cursing as long as it is not excessive, but try to keep threads mature, cussing a lot only makes people think you're childish. And, of course, follow Proboard's rules as well.
- No double-posting, save in specific situations where it makes sense or the staff give you the go ahead. Just use the edit button otherwise. We understand it may happen on accident occasionally, and may even be acceptable in certain situations, however - do not take that as the standard. For all intents and purposes, just consider it frowned upon at all times.
- Decent grammar and spelling are pretty much a must. Reading walls of text without a single dot of punctuation isn’t something that anyone wants to do, so please use a spell checker and try to keep your grammar in line. We expect every member to play to the best of their ability. If you can only write four sentences per post, that is okay, provided it's truly the most you are capable of.
- Keep things like games, in-progress character CSes, et cetera, to the designated boards. Please keep all advertisements to the designated board. We respect your board, so please respect ours.
- No flaming, trolling, whatever name you want to put on it. Simply put, don’t stir up trouble for the sake of stirring up trouble, and if at all possible, try and avoid stirring up trouble at all. It will not be tolerated. Starting drama and whatnot on this site will not be appreciated, and if you attack or insult anyone out of character, you will be punished. If you have a problem with a member, send the Administrator account a PM rather than starting a fight on the boards or whatnot. This is a community with the goal of an enjoyable role-play experience - the last thing anyone needs is drama.
Character Creation:
- Make one character per account, with the character’s name matching exactly to your display name. If your character’s name is Link, for example, your display name must be exactly Link. Not [Link~] or {Noctis – Link} or anything like that. Just Link. This is to prevent confusion.[/blockquote]
- Please put a link to your character's Approved CS in either your signature or homepage, to make things easier on people who RP with you. THIS IS REQUIRED. The last thing you want to do is dig through hundreds of profiles to find the people who join your thread - it's unlikely anyone else wants to do so to find your CS either. For the purpose of linking to characters and stuffs in your sigs:

- You can feel free to make as many characters as you like, but remember that, no matter how many characters you have, you’ll still have to keep up with the activity checks for all of your characters. Keep that in mind before you start juggling twenty profiles.
- You can only have TWO (2) Legend of Zelda canon characters.
- You can only have ONE (1) Leader/Lieutenant character.
- You can only have ONE (1) Hylian character.
- Canon characters can only be from Twilight Princess, no other Zelda game canons will be allowed. We apologize, but it just wouldn't make sense given how cut off TP is time-wise from the other games.
- For original characters, it is recommended (though not required) that you use some sort of Face Claim. If you don’t know what that is, a Face Claim is simply the face of some video game/anime/manga character that you use to represent your character. Keep in mind it’s just a Face Claim, and your character’s entire body/clothing doesn’t have to resemble the character you picked out; just the face. A Face Claim is by no means required, just an option you are given. Please note: we do not allow rips.
- No canon weapons for any non-canon characters. You can still make your own regular sword, or even a magical one with all sort of neat effects, but you cannot take a canon weapon unless you actually are the canon in question or earn the canon weapon somehow through Staff approval.
- If you want your characters to have had any interaction with any canon characters, particularly in your character’s history, contact the staff and the owner of said character first and get their permission. The same goes for other original characters, really. This goes for nearly any interlocking histories, the last thing anyone needs is confusion.
Battle Rules:
- You can pick a battle against enemies any time you want in a thread, but you only get rewards if it's a fight A) in a Plot Thread or Quest/Side-Quest, or B) against another player. Player vs. Player (PvP) fights can occur only in threads with [Battle] or [ B ] in their title, to prevent people from accidentally stumbling into something they do not want to take part in. If your character dies in a fight that allows the chance for it to happen, whether it be in the agreed rules between combatants, actually requested by the person who dies, or in a Quest, they become a Ghost (A Poe by Zelda terminology). Now, as a Poe, they cannot physically touch anything, nor be touched themselves, and in combat they can only attack or be attacked using magic. There is an item for sale that a person can buy to revive themselves or another from Death, but should a Poe be attacked and killed, that Character is pernamently dead. Basically put, be careful! Don't do dumb things that'll end badly![/blockquote]
- For PvP, how you want to fight is up to you and the person you’re fighting, but here are the three styles most members prefer: “Casual”, where you can only control your own character in each post, as most RPs these days work, "Technical"/"LS", where you only control your own character in each post and stats are used to dictate victory, and “Story”, where both players can control both characters in each post. Story is for more theatric combat and LS is for more streamlined combat, Casual is pretty much your basic combat that you see on most RP sites these days.
What Style you use is *entirely* your decision, we will do our best to ensure you are never forced to fight in a way that you are uncomfortable. To be quite clear; if you don't care about fighting, or if you just want to stick with the style of combat that 90% of the RPs out there use, just ignore the Battle Rules and list "Casual" as your Combat Style.
~For more information on the Battle Rules and Styles, please look HERE.
- Whether fighting against another member or in a Plot/Quest thread, rewards will be decided by a Staff Member and given out at the end. The only time this changes is in PvP, should the participating members have decided on some sort of wager before the battle began. Please be sure to PM the Staff to recieve a Reward for the PvP Fight! Awards for PvPing are not guaranteed, to prevent abuse of the system.
DEATH:
Roleplaying:
- “Godmodding” is defined as playing god, making your character essentially invulnerable/undefeatable, or controlling another person’s character in any way. We have only one rule on godmodding. Don’t do it.[/blockquote]
- This should probably be pretty obvious, but your profile has to be accepted by an admin before you can RP.
- No one-liners. Try and keep your posts to around 100-200 words. At the same time, don’t stress out trying to come up with epic sagas for every post: this is something I really want to emphasize. Some people regularly pound out 400 words per post or the like, but this is by no means necessary or encouraged. Just do what you’re comfortable with and RP at your own pace. The whole idea here is to have fun, after all!
- If you and the people you are RPing with Finish a Thread, officially finish it (Each member posts an "Exit" or an "End" post, with the last member to post ending with "Finished"), PM a Staff Member with a Link to the Thread and everyone who posted to that thread 5 times or more will 20 Rupees as a reward for this appreciated accomplishment. If members post less than 5 times but still [Exit] the thread, they will receive 10 Rupees for still officially finishing.
- If you colour or resize your text, please try and keep it readable and not eye-blindingly bright.
Quests/Side-Quests Rules:
- Quests are official thread types that are overseen by a Staff member or an officially hired normal member (referred to as a Quest/Dungeon Master), which are prescribed in the Quests thread and can be chosen as you wish.[/blockquote]
*Unique/unusual Quests may appear from time to time, so you may wish to check it often. You may only be in two Quests at once.
- Side-Quests, on the other hand, are unofficial thread types started and organized by regular members. The member who organizes and guides the Side-Quest is the "Unofficial" Quest Master. They can vary from a battlefield to dungeon to a mystery to… well, whatever you can think of, really. You can be in two Side-Quests at once.
- Quests and Side-Quests offer rewards for their completion, usually in terms of extra posts (and thusly AP), and also interesting items or abilities relative to the Quest/Side-Quest. For Side-Quests, the reward is decided upon by a Staff member, not the Unofficial Quest Master.
- You can be killed in Quests and Side-Quests, at the discretion of the Quest/Dungeon Master (typically, you’ll get killed if you act foolishly/godmode/etc). If you think your death is unfair, it can be appealed by PMing a Staff member.
- In both Quests and Side-Quests, shorter posts than normal are encouraged to keep things moving at a good pace. Just post your actions and go-go-go, thorough in-depth character reflection isn’t necessary.
- The reward for the Unofficial or Official Quest/Dungeon Master is that they get equivalent, if not the exact same, rewards as participants in the Quest/Side-Quest: if they are actually involved in the Quest/Side-Quest, the same rule applies.
Activity – Account Deletion:
- Please at least attempt to log onto all of your accounts every day that you can be online to do so. This doesn’t mean you have to post with them, just make sure you log into them all. Otherwise people can easily be forgiven for forgetting your character exists in the first place and not RPing with it.[/blockquote]
- Once again, please be sure to have a link to your Character Sheet in your Homepage or Signature. Also, Avatars should be 100x100 or 100x200 please!
- If an account has no posts after a month, it’ll be deleted, even if it has been logged on. It’s recommended that you make a quick introductory post. Say hi, get to know everyone here, et cetera. The OoC boards are completely at your disposal the second your account is made, so feel free to post in any forum games or chat with anyone. We just want to make sure you’re actually here and not a dummy account or, god forbid, a bot <_<
- We do hold periodic activity checks. If you do not reply to the activity check as instructed within the thread's mentioned time limit, which most likely will be two weeks at the shortest, your account will, unfortunately, be deleted. If your account is deleted, however, and you want to come back, feel free to sign up again using the same user name, email, and password, and apply to have your character restored.
- With the above in mind, please let us know if you’re going to be away for an extended period of time so that we can exclude you from activity checks and the like. If you’re just going away for a few weeks, or even months, and would like to keep your character, just let us know.
