He'd been stalking the guy for over an hour. He was almost reveling in how unaware the Deku merchant was. More importantly, Dekethorn loved to hunt his own. Got a sort of sadistic glee from it.
When he was sure no one else was around and the merchant was in prime position, Dekethorn let off a barrage of nuts, popping off the flower petals and causing the merchant to hit the ground hard. By the time he was up, Dekethorn was on him like Dino on Fred Flinstone. With a glare, Dekethorn easily had the upper hand.
"You leave now, the bags are mine." Dekethorn fired a warnings shot, grazing the merchant's face, who proceeded to run away screaming.
"Mwee Hee Hee. Let's see what the poor sap was carrying." He rummaged through the merchant bags, only to find maps. Dekethorn, in frustration, fired his acid bubble at the maps and bags, letting them slowly corrode.
"That'll teach you to leave me with nothing. Merchants. Feh. Hate the lot of 'em."

Seayn had been casually walking along the road to find something interesting as time wore on. He wasn't sure what to do as he walked along in his Impenetrable Aegis. It had been a rather boring, unexciting day so far. He had walked... and walked... and walked. It was quite boring, honestly. The young man had always expected his adventures to be full of exciting activities and events. Where were the bandits, the monsters, the evil wizards, and, of course, the dangerous moblins. He had expected his life to be similar to the way he had always imagined the legendary hero's life, yet it seemed to be doomed to irrelevance. He let out a heavy sigh for a moment before he heard something... Something different from the light breeze and rustling greenery. He stopped, listening as a someone ran into view.
The Deku merchant noticed him as well, hopping up into the air with a squeal and disappearing in a different direction. Seayn could only imagine what had caused the little guy to panic like that. The armored man began to trot forward at a pace that he could keep for quite some time. The racket of his armor could be heard quite some distance and it was almost positive that he would be heard by whatever had scared the merchant. He focused for a moment and a shield unfolded out of his forearm. It appeared to be a normal hylian shield, with the crest of the royal family upon the front. He drew Excalipur, a menacing weapon, even if it was completely useless. "What just happened here?" Seayn called out, an acrid bitter smell assaulting his nose.

Dekethorn looked out towards the man who just showed up, from the same direction the merchant ran off in. The man would be suspicious. Dekethorn debated just offing him right there. But that may alert even more people. He needed to think for a moment. Maybe he would play dumb and see how much the man knew, if the merchant told him anything.
"What was that?" he called back. He was gauging the suspicion of the man clad in heavy armor. In an emergency Dekethorn could run. The man wouldn't be able to keep up in the heavy armor, most likely.

Seayn observed a small deku up ahead on the road. He didn't really look any different from any other of the plant people yet he appeared to have some thorns sticking out of his head. He didn't look particularly scary yet some people's look were misleading. The young man, looking around the road, sniffing, his expression showing his discomfort because of the smell. "I saw another little deku running past and he seemed scared of something. I'm wondering what had him so startled." The young man's eyes scanned the sides of the path. He held his weapon towards the ground, attempting to look nonthreatening. He stopped, glancing to the side.
"Errr... The name's Seayn. You see anything unusual?" He stopped looking around, satisfied that there was nothing around. The small deku didn't seem very dangerous, yet it was never supposed to be safe on the road. "You need anything, little guy?" The wannabe knight was satisfied that it must have been the other deku's imagination. He stood there, fidgeting with his sword and shield, unsure of whether or not to put them away. He sheathed Excalipur, his shield spiraling back into his arm as he did so. Even after putting away what he had been carrying, his arms seemed restless, obviously unsure of what to do.

Dekethorn flashed a devious smile. The man had no idea what had happened, although the corrosion had infiltrated his nostrils. Well, Dekethorn decided it was best not to do anything rash. As strong as his nuts were, he had trouble with armor, and he needed a rest before another acid bubble.
"Deku merchants. They scare too easily, especially out on the roads. Judging by his reaction, his flowers must have petered out and he reacted poorly to it. Probably traveled too far." Unless the guy knew how Deku merchant flowers worked, the explanation would sound logical enough. He didn't seem like the brightest sort, but you never can tell.
"Anyway, my name's Dekma. I was just coming back from Kakariko."

Seayn nodded, scratching his chin as he mulled over what the deku had told him. It made sense, the little gusy did always seem to be getting into trouble and he knew next to nothing about deku culture or anatomy. "My name's Seayn. Nice to meet you Dekma." He didn't know how to continue the conversation, especially since he had no clue of whether or not dekus did things similarly to humans. There was also the ever present question of gender. Was this little plantling a male or female? "Kakariko? The village? I don't even know where I am any more." He muttered the last part to himself. He ran a hand through his hair, spinning around in a circle as he tried to figure out where in the world he was. Seayn stopped suddenly, watching the deku, not sure of what to do.

Dekethorn looked toward Seayn with a "you gotta be kidding me" look on his face. Everyone knew Kakariko Village.
"No, I'm talking about Ubaldo Kakariko, the famed warrior. What, have you been living under a rock? Yes I'm talking about the village."
Dekethorn wondered to himself silently how humans managed to survive. Some of them simply didn't have a damn clue. "What would an armor-clad human have to do in the Eldin province other than going to Kakariko?"

"Never been there before. I usually just stay around Castle Town. I'm rather inexperienced with... everything I suppose." Seayn shrugged, looking off into the distance. He could only wonder what this Dekma was actually doing out here. Coming back from Kakariko to where? It didn't all add up to the young man but he wasn't the kind to verbally voice that kind of implication. "I don't know... I guess I didn't really pay attention to where I was. I was told that Hyrule wasn't doing so well. I figured I could help with things." He also felt like looking around the area more closely but ignoring the deku like that would feel... wrong. "Perhaps I should escort you to the village to make sure it's safe.... not that you look too small to protect yourself, it's just that there's safety in numbers and I'm better equipped to stop anyone that might attack us."

Dekma, in his frustration, fired a deku nut at Seayn, missing deliberately but making a point nonetheless.
"Why would I allow you to escort me to Kakariko Village when that's where I'm traveling from?" Dekethorn was confident he took defeat the armor-clad buffoon easily, and began to reveal his true nature. With a twitch of his eye, he suddenly seemed more...evil.
"I suggest you be more careful in who you describe as ill-equipped, especially with one such as yourself having no distance weapon and heavy armor on."

Seayn saw the deku nut soar close, although he wasn't completely sure of whether or not the little one had been aiming at him or not. His shield once again presented itself, although the young man didn't feel the need to draw his sword. "If it's dangerous out here, I wouldn't want you to have to travel a farther distance when you might be attacked." The small plant-man seemed to look more malevolent at that moment, probably something to do with his eyes since that was the most notable feature on Dekma. "I don't need a distance weapon, when nothing can penetrate my defense." Seayn said, obviously much more serious now that there was a noticeable threat. "So was it you?"

Dekethorn couldn't really grin, due to lack of a real mouth. But if he could, he would have then and there.
"So you're not as stupid as I thought. Figured it all out have you? Took you long enough. It's a shame though, the merchant had nothing worth a damn on him. It was certainly fun to scare him though, I thought he might wet himself running away like that." Dekethorn began to cackle, a cacophonous cackling that might frighten lesser men.
"So Seayn, do you know who I really am?"

Seayn shrugged, looking at the malevolent little being in front of him. He had an inkling that the Deku had been lying to him but it wasn't like him to jump to conclusions about things that were most impersonal to him. "Well. I assumed that you were the cause but it would have been rude to overtly accuse you, no?" He felt a bubble of anxiousness in his stomach as well as a glimmer of excitement in his chest. Did this small being think that he could overcome the heavy armor that the human was wearing, a pretty ridiculous thought. "I have no idea who you are and for the most part, I care not. I care that you stop terrorizing others." Seayn planned on forcing him to cease this activity one way or another, yet he hadn't quite figured out how he would make sure of that.

Dekethorn began to walk quickly in circles around Seayn, gauging the knights armor. It was unlikely that his nuts, strong as they were, would do much in the way of damage. He was only a scrub as it were.
"Stop Terrorizing others? You must be mad. Terrorizing others is such fun! You should join me sometime. It's a great rush, and sometimes even profitable." He continued to cackle while circling Seayn. "Besides, what are you going to do about it? Can your actions back up your words hmm? Mwee Hee Hee!" Even if he ended up having to run, taunting the poor guy was fun in and of itself.

Seayn didn't turn yet his head followed the little bandit's movements. It was strange how confident the Deku was despite the fact that the human was much bigger in pretty much every aspect. Not only that, but he had a sword and heavy armor. Either this "Dekma" had something up his sleeve or he had a head that was too big. "I don't think I would like to laugh at people at their expense. Why would I need profit anyways? I have enough to feed myself, I can make more if I need it, I have no reason to do something that malicious. Perhaps I can, do you think your thorns or nuts can penetrate my armor?" Seayn shrugged, not wanting to make a move at the Deku. He was at least going to let the little thing attack first if there was to be a fight here.

Dekethorn cackled a little. The armored man was being a bit too paladin for his taste. He continued to run circles around the knight, almost prancing around. "But tormenting people is such fun. Try it the next chance you get, you'll love it. Suddenly, Dekethorn stopped. He had done his rounds, knew where he could fire nuts. It really wouldn't do very much, and he knew that, but he did have one other trick up his sleeve.
"You don't much about us Dekus do you? You think all we do is emerge from our holes and fire nuts all day. You think I'm some Mad Scrub bent on being hit with my own nuts from deflections." Dekethorn was still debating what to do with this knight. Allowing him the fight would be fun, but it would also be fun to run and let him wonder about the rogue Deku.
Decisions decisions.

"Maybe you should try helping people it's quite exhilarating at times. I hear that there is occasionally a chance for profit as well." Seayn couldn't really understand what drove this Deku. He just seemed so juvenile, either that or he seemed to lack basic compassion. Either that or he didn't seemed to lack the perspective that it was unpleasant for the person on the other end of what he was doing. This didn't seem to be going anywhere... should he try to apprehend the menace even though he hadn't actually done anything to him yet. Nuts... deflection... mad scrub? What was this little guy talking about? The young human observed the Deku for a moment, keeping his face rather blank to hide his confusion. "So... what are you waiting on? Are you going to attack me?"

Dekethorn giggled one last time. "No. I won't attack you. I'm going to leave, with you knowing that there is a deku attacking unsuspecting travelers, something you will not be able to prevent. But before I leave, a parting gift for you. Mwee hee hee." Before Dekethorn ran off to more adventure, he left Seayn with a parting gift: one deku bubble, something that did no damage, but would leave Seayn sticky.
After he did that, he shot off like a rocket, excited about the prospect of more stupid villagers and merchants to torment.

Seayn had no idea what that was about but he was sure that it would work out in the end. The little deku may be dangerous but any merchant fully aware of the dangers on the road would more than likely be able to handle the small bandit. The young knight wannabe wasn't going to lose any sleep over letting this thief get away. He put away his sword and let his shield collapse back into his armor. There wasn't anything else worth bothering with out here, as far as he could tell. He began to slowly walk down the road, the air quite cool, which was nice. He took a deep breath, looking at the sky. It was a good night.
