After meeting with his parents and brothers as planned, Kulau, as diplomat and messenger, set out to find and deliver a message to Lady Theodora. He wondered whether or not it was necessary, given the amount of bugging Theodora had done in the past with her majesty. But he was to do his duty nonetheless.

It had been so long since she'd visited home! Thea vowed that she wouldn't come back home until she had done a bunch of good things for Queen Rutela's sake, but word came 'round to her that she was needed for something. How strange that mailman was... She had never seen, or met him before, yet he knew of her business... Still, she was grateful. Just what could they want with her~?
Thea skipped to the Domain, ready to hear this important message! She glanced around for a moment to look for Kulau, the one who summoned her. Once spotted, she ran quickly to where he was... but she couldn't stop in time. With a slight squeal, she tried stopping herself by skidding to a halt, but she lost her balance and began to hop... hop... hop... closer to the edge she went, until she fell right in.
Once she came up for air, with her hair sopping wet and sticking to her face, Theodora let out a light chuckle. "Ahahaha... Theodora, reporting for duty!" Her chuckling grew a bit nervous. Why was she always such a goof in front of the higher ups!? Even though she was one herself... But still!?

Kulau smiled as Theadora fell into the water and began to laugh nervously. While such actions may be bothersome with other races, as a royal family member he was much more lenient with her. He'd known her and her antics for a while now, and they never seemed to change.
Respectfully he bowed to her and extended a hand to help her out of the water. "Lady Theadora, welcome back to Zora's Domain." He wanted to help her feel comfortable in her true home. Many of the Zoras probably still didn't like her because of the treasury incident. He did his best to ignore that particular event. She was a member of the Zora Royal Family, and in his mind deserved the respect of one, even if she didn't always want it.
"I'm glad you got my message. You look well. I trust the outside world hasn't been too cruel to you." In truth, he was a bit more worried for the outside world, but would never actually say it to her face.

Now would be a good time to get out of the water. He was welcoming her, so he was distracted with something else. Thea pulled herself over the edge and popped to her feet. The water running down her flesh felt so nice and refreshing~ Maybe after their business was done, he could go swimming with her. It was just like Thea to let her mind wander like this. She shook her head to snap out of her thoughts, and she saluted Kulau.
"Thanks!" she said in response to his comment of her looking well. "I'm as good as can be! Hyrule is such a fun place, you know. So many things to do!" With a nod, she smiled up at him. He was always so proper~ Theodora felt she did not deserve the whole "Lady" thing, but she knew bringing it up wouldn't make any difference. A nervous chuckle escaped her as she rubbed her head.
"Sooo... what didja need me for? Is Queenie okay?"

Kulau cringed at the word "Queenie" but he knew that was who she was. She was never the type to be particularly proper, even if she was the queen's cousin.
"Her Majesty hasn't heard much from you since you left to other parts of Hyrule. She is awaiting your progress report. Come, it is not polite to keep her majesty waiting." He led her up the walkways towards the top, where Queen Rutela held her audience. He knew she knew where to go, but he was so used to accompanying strangers he became used to leading.
He wondered to himself whether or not his own personal musings and thoughts would be relevant to her and to the present situation. He decided to keep his mouth shut about anything like that at this time.

As Thea heard the words "Her Majesty", a light panic set in. Thea had not done anything worthy of pleasing the queen just yet! There was no way she could go see her right now! Besides, she thought Kulau had summoned her! The mailman said nothing about needing to see Queen Rutela! Theodora was also currently sopping wet, and mangy looking, and quite under-dressed to see the queen.
"No! I can't! Not yet! I haven't done any good deeds yet!" Thea flailed her arms and ran in a circle before deciding her destination. Her destination? A piece of rock that jutted out from the ground, like a stalagmite. Her arms wrapped around it, and once she had a solid grip, her legs wrapped around as well. "I'm not going anywhere!"

Kulau sighed and rolled his eyes as Theadora attached herself to a rock. It was just a regular audience, not a court hearing.
"Lady Theadora, she just wants to talk with you. I assure you, you are not in any trouble." He probably should jump in and force her to attend a meeting, but he couldn't. He never liked to swim much is his noble's regalia. "So you have nothing to report then?" He could just give the message to Rutela, he was never afraid to meet with her except in times of hardship.

Thea's eyes shut tightly as she shook her head back and forth, her matted hair sloshed around her face. "No way! I can't! I promised I'd see her once I had done something good." Suddenly, the Zora woman frowned and sighed. It was unlike her to be sad, but when it came to Queen Rutela, the thought of letting her down made Thea so helpless. She wanted so badly to make amends with Rutela and the rest of the Zora people, but she always mucked things up.
Another sigh escaped as she hopped down from the rock. Thea dropped her shoulders and hung her head. "Please understand, Kulau. I gotta do something good first so Rutela will be proud of me!" Her multicolored eyes suddenly popped open and landed on the other Zora. Thea clasped her hands in front of her chest and pleaded at him. "Maybe you can help me find something to do! Oh please, oh please, Kulau~?"

Kulau couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. She always had the best of intentions, but that didn't always translate into actions. As a member of the royal family and a cousin to Her Majesty, he wanted to help the poor girl out.
He nodded to her and flashed a smile. He began to walk down one of the many corridors, beckoning her along with him. He wanted a more private place to talk. "I'll talk to Her Majesty for you, lady Theadora. I'm sure she'll understand given the circumstances. In the meantime, I suggest you keep your eyes and ears open. If something comes up that requires you or would be a good deed for you to do for Queen Rutela, I will send you another message." He didn't feel entirely comfortable covering for her like this, but it wouldn't look good politically for the Zoras to have royal family afraid to address the queen. As diplomat, he took it upon himself to ensure good lines of communication. This was no exception.

Her mood had shifted entirely. In a matter of mere moments, she went from distraught, to pleading and worrisome, to completely ecstatic! She spread her arms wide open to leap at him and hug him. "Oh thank you, tha--" Though as she did so, her eyes were closed, so she did not see that he had began walking. Theodora slammed face-first into a hard, hurtful pillar. With a pained little grunt, she slid down and rubbed her nose. Sadly, that wasn't the first time that's happened, so she recovered from it rather quickly. Thea was used to hurting herself. She hopped right back up and began to follow him.
"Where are we going? And why are we going there?" She knew this wasn't the way to Queen Rutela's chambers, so she couldn't help but wonder where their destination was.

Kulau turned to see her smack into a pillar, but noticed that she was ok and was catching up. He continued to walk slowly, allowing her to make up time even if she were to fall again.
When they reached a secluded location he stopped and turned to face her. "I wanted to continue this conversation in private. I won't force you to, but I still think you should meet with Her Majesty. Even if you are her subordinate, you are also her cousin. It doesn't have to be an official report, just meet with her, say hi, let her know you're ok." He started to walk slowly back and forth, nerves getting the better of him. He was bad trying to have private conversation with the nobility.

Theodora shifted uncomfortably. Kulau was still pressing her to meet with Rutela! That just didn't sit well with Thea, not yet anyway! She really did want to wait until she had some good news to report, but... Rutela was family... If she wanted to talk to her, Thea really couldn't deny her wishes, right?
Feeling utterly defeated, Thea slumped her shoulders. "I suppose I will go... but I don't feel good about this! I made a promise to her, Kulau! I don't want to let her down with news of not having done something great!" The Zora woman bit her lip for a moment. She fiddled with the fins of her legs, grabbing them like they were a hem of a dress. She was trying her hardest to rack her brain of any ideas.
But then one came to her. She had asked earlier, and it was quite a stretch of an idea, but it was worth a try! Thea reached for his hands to grasp as she pleaded, "Kulau, let's just leave! Let's go try to find something to do for Queenie together! It'll be an adventure! Come oooon!"

Kulau was surprised that she had agreed to meet with Rutela, it caught him off guard a little. But what really caught him off guard was when she reached for his hands and asked him to go on an adventure with her. He was trying to support communication within the family, and if an adventure was how to do it, then so be it. Besides, the meeting wouldn't go as well if she were uncomfortable. She should be eager and excited to meet with the queen, not apprehensive.
"Milady, I can't just leave. But I will go on an adventure with you, just give me some time to prepare. I can't exactly leave Zora's Domain without telling anyone. Meet me at the front entrance in 20 minutes." He removed her hands from his, gently, and gave her a polite bow. Smiling, he walked out of the little alcove.
After the 20 minutes had passed Kulau, on time as always, showed up at the entrance to Zora's Domain. He had removed his noble's regalia in favor of his exercise trunks, or his travel gear as some called it.
