Female
BATTLE ROLE,
Jack of All
BATTLE STYLE,
Casual/LS
AGE,

ALLIANCE,
Lawful Good, Nightmare Darklight
PERSONALITY,
Unfortunately, Daystallion Lightdark is a bit of a brooder; she tends to think situations over for a long time, even after they've already occurred. This is especially true when she believes she's made a mistake (as she is a bit of a perfectionist) or when some great tragedy occurs. She doesn't want to think about it; she just does.
Day is terrible with words. She never quite knows how to voice her thoughts, and as such she generally keeps her mouth shut. When she does speak, she's insufferably formal, to the point where she doesn't even use contractions (i.e. she says 'do not' or 'I am' rather than 'don't' or 'I'm'). She also has difficulty putting an end to a conversation once it starts; she was brought up to be polite no matter the circumstances, and she finds it difficult to properly extract herself from anything, unless it's a battle.
She's a physically calm woman. Day calls her lack of unnecessary movement discipline, but the fact of the matter is that she's merely extremely calm. When sitting, she's as still as a marble statue, and she never gestures when she speaks. Because of this, she typically looks stiff and uncomfortable, although she's not aware of it herself.
Daystallion is an insufferably polite woman; even when she's distraught or angry, she'll never speak a word out of line. This goes for her allies and her enemies; when she fights, she views her opponent as nothing more than an opponent, and will treat them as nothing more or nothing less even after the battle, regardless of who wins or loses. However, despite her polite nature, Day is a not a kindly woman; she's rather cold, and it takes a long time and numerous good experiences for her to warm up to someone even slightly.
She's intelligent, but her smarts are rather limited. She's hopeless at math, and abstract thinking never extends further than attempting to outmaneuver the person she happens to be fighting at the time. She is, however, an excellent strategist and comes up with ideas that seem to far exceed the boundaries of her imagination. How she comes up with said strategies, she doesn't know; Day is only ever spontaneous in battle or in war conferences. Although she never completely gives into to her emotions, she is guilty of a bit of bloodlust while fighting, especially in her dragon form; only her immense self-control (and probably her piety) keeps her from becoming violence incarnate.
She's devout. Her faith rivals that of even Knight Templars, she loves the goddesses so much. When she's not fighting, she's praying. Half the time she prays and fights at the same time, and Nayru help anyone who insults or doubts the existence of the goddesses.
Day is a solemn woman, mostly devoid of passion, but she does have a singular goal in life: defeat Nightmare Darklight.
It's also worth mentioning that while yes, she does want to beat Night's arse down, she's loyal to him as her superior and will carry out any orders he gives.
APPEARANCE,
Daystallion is an attractive woman, although she tends to keep a severe look. Her blond hair is typically kept in a tight braid pinned up on her head, with short, choppy bangs falling just above her eyes and framing her face. Her eyes are a striking green color, and while they have a certain degree of beauty, they are devoid of any emotion. She's a rather short woman at about 5 feet, and she's also rather lightweight; she weighs a mere 92 pounds.
This is her typical battle armor, for when she knows that she's going to be fighting; the armor adorning the dress is more heavy-duty than the armor on her usual attire, and she has the added bonus of armor covering her neck, forearms, shoulders, and shins. Besides, the coloring is just way more awesome.
Essentially the same as her typical attire, but white. Small differences do exist, such as a heel on her boots, detached sleeves on the dress, and a black ribbon in her hair, but they are minor and mostly for show. She actually looks quite beautiful in this.
This, unfortunately, is Day's true formal wear; it's the only piece of clothing she owns that's not armored. The dress itself is simple enough; it's pure white, with long, flowing sleeves, and on top of the dress is a green vest with gold trimmings. Corset lacing adorns the back of the vest, and the print of a HORSE adorns the front.
All those fun outfits and accessories? Yeah. She doesn't actually need them, because she's a dragon, and a damn big one at that. She's only a tad smaller than Nightmare, in case you were wondering, even though she's a female. She's about 37 or 38 feet tall when standing on her hind legs, and she's about 18 feet shoulder-to-shoulder; wingtip to wingtip, she's a massive 47 feet. Day's scales are a bit more flashy and the Emperor's, though; her entire back is navy blue, her underside is a goldish kind of yellow, and the membranes of her wings are a deep maroon. She also has a certain feminine shape to her; her chest is slightly fuller than her hips and her waist dips in, giving her an hourglass shape. She also has the added benefit of horns... although she can't really do much with them, as the tips point to her tail. Did I mention that her tail has a sharper-than-the-sharpest-thing-you-can-think-of blade on the tip? Because she does.
WEAPONS,
MAGICAL WEAPON: Excalibur. Day's most treasured belonging. Excalibur was handed down in her family from father to son, until she was the only child born to her barren mother; thus, the sword passed to her. Excalibur is a tad longer than your average longsword, with a blade of four and a half feet. Just by looking at it, even a dimwit would know it's precious; the hilt is wrapped in gorgeous blue cloth, the guard is plated with gold, and the holy cross of her family as well as her family name is etched onto the blade.
Excalibur is magical in that it is a holy weapon, or so she has been told; either way, Daystallion can "charge" the sword with holy magic, causing the damage it does to be doubled. (i.e. if the sword normally dents a piece of armor, charging the sword would crush the piece of armor.) In Casual style, charging Excalibur takes one turn, but the damage increase is passive after charging. In LS style, this increases damage done by one level, with a two-post cooldown.
The ability is also transferrable to her true form; although she can't fight with Excalibur, as long as she has it in her claws and accesses the holy might within it, each blow she deals does twice the damage... which is a lot by the way, because she's a freaking DRAGON. In LS style, it's the same as human form; it increases damage done by one level with a two-post cooldown.
Dragon Form: Teeth, claws, her massive size, etc.
ITEMS,
nothing of note.
ABILITIES,
Lieutenant Slot: Healing Light
Simply put, she uses her divine power to heal herself or her allies. Available in human and dragon form.
Casual: She can heal minor wounds with a one-round cooldown, moderate wounds with a four-turn cooldown, and major wounds with a seven-turn cooldown. Moderate wounds take one round to heal, major wounds take two.
LS: She can consume a single action slot to regain one level of health with no cooldown; two actions slots plus a three-turn cooldown for two levels of health, and three action slots plus a six-turn cooldown for three levels of health.
Dragonlight
Instead of the fire that most dragons are able to breathe, Daystallion can breathe pure... well, light. And not the pansy little lightbulb lights, either. Her light is holy. It's like a frickin' solarbeam of piety coming out of her mouth. Deals both light/holy and fire magic damage. In LS terms, it deals two damage, and takes one action slot used to charge it up. She can only breathe the light for one action slot. Has a range of 25 feet.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
MONSTER RACIAL: Dragonkin
Human Form Daystallion instinctively learned to pop into a human guise as an infant, although she gives credit for the talent to the goddesses. During battle, though, it's a different story; whether it's because of her bloodlust or just because so much power can't be contained in so small a body, she can only hold the form for eight rounds. She can go back into human form after five rounds. While not in a battle, she can remain in her human form indefinitely.
Speed Whether out of a desire to be different from her liege lord or simply because she appreciates the comfort, Daystallion has sacrificed power for speed in her dragon form; her blows deal only a level of damage as opposed to the Emperor's two, but she moves three times as fast. While she isn't quick as lightning, it means she can strike more often, and can essentially deal the same amount of damage as Nightmare, but with more movement.
In LS terms: if she so wishes, she can sacrifice an action slot for one round, then use three the next. Has a three-post cooldown.
Flight She has wings. Do the math.
HISTORY,
First of all, Daystallion Lightdark is not Day's real name. She styled herself after Nightmare Darklight and she refuses to go by her real name until she defeats that man once and for all.
Day was born to a rather wealthy family who had made their estate smack-dab in the middle of Hyrule Field. Why? Who knows. The rich family of Pendragon wasn't very well known, surprisingly enough, but they were eccentric nonetheless. The Pendragons were a family of devout dragon warriors who had access to holy magic; whether naturally or through their prized heirlooms, it didn't matter. They were a mostly male line, with a female being born every generation or so; unfortunately, the women of the Pendragons were the 'go-to-the-kitchen' type, and none were allowed to take up Excalibur and fight in the family's name.
That is, until Daystallion was born.
She was the first-born child of the most recent of the Pendragons, and her parents kept trying and trying to conceive another child, a boy, but it didn't work. Day's mother was barren, and the Pendragon line would end. Instead of working through it like a normal human being (the fact that he was actually a dragon being completely beside the point), Day's father killed himself in his despair and self-imagined disgrace, leaving his wife and baby girl to fend for themselves. Of course, that wasn't nearly as difficult as it sounded; they were rich, after all, and they had their servants. Day and her mother were actually very comfortable after her father's death.
Day's mother had never harbored much love for her husband, as she had believed the man was insufferably sexist. She resented him for that, and did not mourn for long after his death; instead, she shifted her attention to raising Day as well as she could. She put a strict emphasis on manners, even in the most gruesome of situations, and she tried her hardest to shape Day into a polite, lovely young lady dragon, as well as a fierce holy warrior. To her delight, she succeeded.
When Day turned fifteen, her mother handed her Excalibur, and shipped her off to military academy to train as a human. Of course, what with all her informal training as a child, Day was an excellent student and had a knack for all things having to do with warfare, but to her dismay, she was always second-best. The one boy who kept beating her in everything was the man she would later vow to defeat, no matter the cost: Nightmare Darklight. When she graduated the academy (with second-best marks, of course), she was placed into the military at the rank of Corporal: one behind Nightmare. This infuriated Day to no end, but no matter what she did, she simply couldn't beat him in anything. She had more manners than him, of course, but that was it; he was a better fighter, a better talker, a better everything. For four years she tried to beat him, but to no avail. Finally, she was allowed to leave the military, and she did.
Then she found out that Nightmare was the Monster Emperor. And that he had killed the previous Emperor and his Lieutenants.
Alone.
She had never despised a man so much in her life, but she really couldn't see any other way around it. She had to get close to him so she could appropriately gauge his powers as well as heighten her own. The only way to do that would be to become one of his Vanguards.
So she did. Her powers were close to Nightmare's in the skill area, albiet differently arranged; she chose speed over power, healing over defense, etc. She was still second-best, though. If she wasn't, Night would be dead and she'd be the Empress.
But Day will beat him one day. She'd bet her life on it.
EXTRAS,
She hates leeks, dogs, the undevout, and Nightmare Darklight... even though she's loyal to him. If anyone could make her snap, it'd be him.
Her last name is Pendragon, which only a select few people know. No one but her mother knows her first name, as she never gives it out.
