Humanity has always created monsters that haunt our dreams. Creatures to explain what science and logic can't.
A silver mine in Germany caves in? Damn kobolds are at it again.
Been having wet dreams about a coworker? Call the exorcist, there's a demon in him.
Your new neighbour keeps burning food? Maybe he's a dragon with a case of the sniffles.
But all of these monsters are just silly superstitions right?
Wrong
The things that stalk darkened corridors at night, the werecreatures hunting in the forests, the vampires searching for their next dose of blood, they exist. And they're deadly.
But now, now we've armed ourselves, bullets that mimic the properties of silver, guns that fire wooden stakes, flamethrowers filled with blessed napalm, the list of innovative new ways to battle evil goes on. Every human carries a protective charm, while the braver (Or stupider, or more suicidal) members of our race take up arms.
We're ready for them.
But then the monsters fought back.
Each continent has it's own faction of monster fighters, each one with their own unique method to eliminate the threats to mankind.
The United States has "The Majestic". Based in Area 51, armed with the latest in high-technology and heavy weaponry.
"The Eternal Dragon" Asia's defence from the Youkai, striking from the shadows and leaving no trace they were there at all.
And the ancient order of the "Templar Confederate", backed by the power of faith.
But the high seas are fair game, with all sorts of nasty's lurking around.
Who will you be in this world?
Will you be on the front lines?
Will you be in the back, making tactical decisions and leading from afar?
Or will you be in the other side, causing the destruction and being fought?
You will decide.
