PERSONALITY,

Reina is undeniably timid. She prefers keeping to herself over the fear that she might be overestimated. Her self-standards are predominantly low; therefore most expect the same for her. She plays the role of the background character—the one who acts as a supplement among friends. With this, she’s often caught daydreaming a luminary persona for herself. Nobody knows this and, for the sake of dignity, Reina prefers it this way. In fact, she prefers being left alone altogether. This way, she remains unnoticed and out of the way.

Nervous to a fault, Reina is notorious for falling back and fumbling along the way. She fears what is beyond her knowledge, what is beyond her outlook. Everything underlining her outer demeanor returns to that very same fear. In conversation, it would be typical of her to drop her glance to the floor or to lower her voice. She is easily overwhelmed by the larger-than-life personalities. However, she’s always been due for great admiration to these people; they are everything she aspires to be. They, most of all, are strong-willed and passionate. Reina has the ability to be both of these things, but she’d never allow herself to show it.

Aside from all this withdrawn behavior, Reina has notable quirks. There’s very little that Reina has to complain about. At least, she plays it out this way. She works her days through to their fullest and never shows sign of ache. She lives as quietly any girl does; making sure nothing is out of place for those who come and approach her. For the most part, Reina likes to keep her mouth shut to set good examples. She might ache from being on her feet, but she tries hard to hide any poor posture even in sleep. In marriage to lack of complaint, this girl works herself unbelievably. She is frighteningly strict to her own rules. Everything will get done and done right the first time around. She likes to work. Don't take it the wrong way; she adores playing but this is once in a blue moon.

She is not the sort who can let something be, no matter how distracted she is. Her mind will fall threat to her own worries. It has greatly to do with her meticulous attitude for work. She does not like to leave things undone. It is easy to get her fussing over even the most pointless things. The silence of Reina is the most irritating of all. She just dislikes conversation because she isn’t very good with it. She is much too awkward! Most shouldn’t mind the quiet type, but Reina has a frightening way to go about it. She likes to follow closely to those who catch her interest and not say a word. She enjoys watching others go about their business and hoping they either answer a question she has not asked allowed or ignore her completely. It often gets her scolded or shunned away.

Being so apparently passive, she allows her patience to be bent over backwards. Really, something might upset her strongly but she won’t say a word for fear that person might exert their anger in return. That’s certainly something Reina fears! All this lack of control has made her seem quite unhappy. If one were to spy Reina somewhere, they’d assume she was extremely lonely but for the most part, she prefers loneliness. She doesn’t understand sociality nor does she understand simple conversations. Reina is unbreakably shy and difficult to anger.

Reina is actually quite the intelligent one. Her practically encyclopedic knowledge of every nearly every subject has gone unnoticed for she presents herself otherwise. While Reina is polite enough to be looked at as kind, she also retains the information that is utterly useless. She’s fascinated with information and strives on learning it. It is one of her few and strong passions. When drawn out of her cage, one will discover she is exactly what she wishes to be—she is passionate. Her inner feelings are practically frightening. They’re unguarded. Brilliant, but careless. Reina is altogether a good hearted person. One not made of gold, but certainly one who will one day, be recognized.

APPEARANCE,

Reina’s appearance might not impress, but she is an unusual beauty—the sort that is, like her, quiet and strange. She comes with long black hair (mistakenly called dark blue; she has an unmentioned distaste for that), that comes across her brow with bangs. At times, she allows it to grow too long but once it gets in the way of her reading, she must shorten it. She keeps it in place with a decorated headbands; sometimes red, sometimes black. Her eyes are quite the capturer. They will easily tell you her feelings, though she tries hard to cover them. As for color, they are a brilliant purple. She more often than not, wears an expression of curiosity and quite obviously, fearfulness.

For measurements, Reina is acceptable, not exceptional. She is five foot four, with weight that lingers in the early one hundreds. At the very least, one could call her slender. She is small in every meaning of the word, with eyes bigger than her stomach. Apparel has never been her strong suit. She covers herself neck-to-toe, with shades of purple. For a jacket coming down to her wrists in purple cuffs and hemmed in black. Her skirt and cardigan are purple; the skirt having a white petticoat. Underneath the white jacket, she wears a black tank top. For boots, she wears black ones that have diamond shapes on either side of her legs. They go all the way up to her thighs.

Rucksack. Generally, Reina carries many books and papers. They all need somewhere to go, so she keeps it all in this seemingly bottomless rucksack. She also holds her essentials within it. It's become heavier over the months.

HISTORY,

Reina spent a short period of her childhood fighting off her demons. Luckily, the dedication of her loved ones and the inspiration of strangers has helped kept her at least (for the most part), well rounded. Never knowing her parents, Reina was guarded by her grandfather Sewic, a philosopher of sorts, and her youngest uncle, Tyras. The knowledge Reina fell in love with was entirely Sewic's doing; he was their mentor and their closest friend. However, he was due to pass on and once he had, Tyras became the owner of his land and fortune. Reina, from then on, was raised to become his maid and later, the nanny of his children.

Tyras married soonafter his father's death, to a lovely woman, at that. They had six children; all boys, separated from Reina by ten years. As they grew, she was considered a child of theirs as well, but also the caretaker of them once she turned thirteen. Reina had no recollection of her parents nor did she care to; she took fondly of the family she had, despite its responsibilities. All six boys were obedient, though sometimes they wracked her nerves by doing something daring. She never had time to be a child. She was always protecting these boys from harm. By the time she turned seventeen, Tyras' wife had become terribly ill.

It was asked of Reina to nurse her back to health while Tyras went off on a long journey. The boys were exceedingly helpful to their mother. They cared for her and they cared for the home as if it were their own. It wasn't enough to save their mother, so she passed and, to their luck, their father never returned. The inheritance was given to the children who were signed to be taken by their aunt, as well as Reina. Of course, the aunt had a distaste for Reina's side of the family. Reina was given enough to buy essentials but it was asked of her not to return.

It wasn't a complete disaster because, if not for their mother's illness, Reina would have chosen to leave by this age in a different life. She promised the boys that she would visit when they were old enough to be on their own. As of now, she has been sighted wandering on her own, looking for a purpose and possibly to become a poet of sorts.
