APPEARANCE,
Jamie surely matches the environment in which she grew up. To survive, she had to! There were always White Wolfos around! Her hair is a silvery white color, pure like snow, except for the tips. Her hair is a gradient, going from white to grayish black at the tips. Two tall wolf ears point straight up to the sky on the top of her head. Her eyes are almond shaped, and always have a sweet sparkle in them. They are colored crimson, a color that she wears a lot of the time.
Her clothing is rather strange. It is traditional in her tribe for the women to wear long robes and dresses. Jamie has stuck with these traditions and sports a sleeveless robe that is bound together by a thick strap of fabric around her middle. She has left the robe open up until around her thighs. It is much easier to walk that way~ The robe covers her bust, but is left open to bare her collarbones and shoulders. Starting around the middle of her bicep are two sleeves that match her robes material. Both robe and sleeves are trimmed with crimson. Along the sleeves are painted crimson patterns as well. Almost all of her clothes have these crimson markings on them, for they are sacred to her tribe of Minish.
Jamie also has crimson tattoos all along her body. Part of her hair is dyed and stained red, in the pattern of a circle. The pattern continues down into a tattoo on her face. On her shoulders, there are crimson swirl tattoos, and on her hips and legs, all the way down to her ankles, are tattoos resembling the others. Her shoes are simple pieces of cloth that are wrapped around her feet. It's either those, or thick red boots to keep her toes warm on Snowpeak.
WEAPONS,
solar flaremagical This magical reflector has been passed down in Jamie's tribe for years and years. But wait... if Jamie is a pacifist and doesn't like to see fighting, why does she have a weapon!? Well, it's not really a weapon, per se. While yes, the flames burning around this weapon will burn any who touches it but her, she does not use it as a weapon, and it is not to be used as a weapon in the first place. What it actually does is set up a barrier around her for a twenty foot radius. Anyone inside the barrier is protected as well. It can block most physical attacks, though magic attacks are more likely to go through. If one goes through, the barrier is immediately broken and takes three posts to recast. If untouched, the barrier can last for three posts, and can be recast in another five.
However, most of the time, it is just used to make her look pretty. It stays with her at all times, and hovers just behind her back. The red sun is situated in the middle of her back while the flames surround it and grow up to the sky. There is a mixture of green, red and orange flames that swirl around. Due to it being passed down to her in a sacred ritual, the flames do not burn her. It is a good thing they do not burn her, too. She is quite afraid of the dark, so this shield is perfect for lighting up those dark places.
divine rosarymagical & leader slot Jamie wears these large beads mostly around her waist, like a belt (see the second outfit image). For the most part, Jamie has them to just look spiffy, and to show her chieftain status, but they actually do something useful! To activate these beads, Jamie must first transform into her wolf form, though the appearance of it has changed. The rosary floats around her neck like a necklace, and her solar flare stays mounted on her back. Her solar flare spouts more fire, and glowing, colorful tendrils of light burst forth as well. When this happens, you'd better run... maybe.
There are six beads on her rosary. Her ability is to shoot forth balls of light at her opponent, meant to stun and sting her opponent. The "balls of light" however, are actually the beads of her rosary, so she can only shoot up to six before they come back to her and need to recharge. Damage-wise, they are not that powerful, but if they make contact with skin, each ball that hits counts as a one-post stun to wherever it hits. For example, if one were to hit a hand, the hand would be temporarily paralyzed so the opponent would not be able to grip a sword. These balls are also extremely bright, so they also temporarily blind for two posts, no matter now many are fired. After that, they might see spots. Think of it like an annoying flash of a camera.
Each ball takes one posts to recover, so if she shoots off all six, she needs six posts to recharge. If she only shoots off four, then she needs four posts to recharge the used, but she still will have two left. Get my drift?
ITEMS,
cherry cakes yummy pastries Cute little balls of dough, filled with a sweet cherry and bean paste mixture, baked to fluffy perfection, and dusted with cherry sugar on top! They are superb, baked with some secret ingredients that only the elders of her tribe know... and now Jamie knows as well. They're supposed to help replenish one's energy, but isn't that what food normally does? Jamie grew up thinking they were "magical", and she still thinks they are magical, but it is just a myth. They're just normal pastries that fill one with sugary energy.
She keeps these cakes in a little pouch, which she keeps tucked away in the depths of her robe, so don't go searching for them!
calligraphy brush magical In her downtime, Jamie likes to draw and paint. Her style can be described as "calligraphic", much like ancient Japanese drawings and paintings. What she can do, though, is bring to life her creations... sort of. They do not become sentient and she cannot control them. For example, if Jamie were to trace a sun in the sky, a calligraphic and stylized sun would appear, maybe shine for a moment or two, and then disappear in a puff of black ink. One, except for Jamie, cannot touch her creations either. If it is on paper, it will return back to what she originally painted before. If it is in person, if someone touches it, it will disperse and land on the ground in puddles of ink. Jamie can interact with her drawings, though. Let's say she drew a little rabbit. She could touch its head and it would react to her as if she was petting it.
She can draw on paper, or just trace in the sky. Since this is not combat related, Jamie can do this whenever she wants with no repercussions.
ABILITIES,
animal form racial Jamie's animal form is that of a pure white wolf, save for the same ink-dipped tips of her tail. Her crimson tattoos are still visible on top of her coat. The reflector she always has still hovers above her back, swirling and spinning with it's pretty fiery-ness. It's effect is cut in half, and instead of protecting multiple people, it only protects her, and it's only head-on. It is essentially just a normal shield when she is a wolf. The animal form lasts for three posts and then has a cooldown of three more posts.
invisibility racial The Minish temporarily turns invisible, meaning the enemy cannot target them in the next turn; if they find themselves in an area-of-effect attack, they are still vulnerable, however. Meanwhile, a physical attack used while Invisible deals an extra level of damage. Invisibility only lasts for one turn, and has a cooldown of five posts.
HISTORY,
In the harsh tundras of Snowpeak, there lives a small, primitive tribe of Minish. They are very wary of letting newcomers in, but they must to keep their bloodline strong. They claim their traditions have been passed down since the first tribe of Minish inhabited Hyrule, so they are of the original Minish tribe, and they hold the most important of roles. There is always Priestess, exalted and praised by the whole clan. Before Jamie was born, the Priestess grew sick and tired. It was almost time to choose a new leader. There were certain conditions that must be met, though. They believed that in order to keep the Priestess line strong, the next of kin must always be a female, and their hair as pure as the snow that surrounds them. They must also be directly related to the old Priestess. The current chief, Tana, bore five children in her lifetime; all males. Those males all had gray hair, and they were, above all, males! Another generation went by without any white-headed grandchildren. The tribe was beginning to feel a bit of distress.
Sadly, the elder passed on before the official ritual could be finished. Panicking, the Minish did everything they could to try to bear a child fit for the role. A lot of Minish left for the rest of Hyrule, and in turn, left their traditions behind. It was too sad to think that the last of the Minish Chiefs had passed... But it was because of a few dedicated Minish that their tradition was born again.
It was on a blustery day, twenty-one years ago, that one of Tana's grandchildren finally bore a white haired female. All rejoiced, and they held Jamie up to the sky, proclaiming Tana had been reincarnated. It was fate! The rituals began only days after the girl was born.
Jamie spent her life training to be the elder. She was just like every typical child, though. When a task was put before her, she'd lose attention and focus rather quickly, and run off to chase ice keese. She'd only come back as a sobbing mess when they bit and froze her momentarily. It was hard work trying to become the wise one! The others were starting to see it too. Jamie was in no way, shape or form, wise. When night fell, she'd weep in a corner. The dark would scare her. When faced with having to train to use her reflector, protecting a few young ones from white wolfos, she'd freak out and hide behind her overseer. She was dense and didn't quite understand why she couldn't leave their water outside.
But still, she tried to live up to their expectations. She eventually learned to use her reflector, she eventually paid attention long enough in her private lessons to learn a bit about the world. That didn't mean she wasn't a goof still, though.
When Jamie turned eighteen, it was customary for her to go through the ritual to become a "woman". It was a rite of passage that each elder must face. After completion, she would be considered the new elder. However, she only made it through one of the two steps. The first step was perhaps the hardest to overcome. It required days upon days upon days of pain. With sticks and natural dyes found deep beneath the snow-covered peaks, Jamie had her crimson markings tattooed into her skin. It was a long and painful process, but to her and her tribe, it had to be done. If getting these etchings meant it would help her people, then she'd force herself to sit through the pain. After weeks of that torture, of bleeding, raw skin, it was finished. Jamie was left alone for a few days to a week to recover.
The second part of the ritual was coming. It was time for Jamie to go out and explore the world, and find a suitable Minish husband to bring back and make glorious babies with! Though not too thrilled with that part (she wanted to find love at her own pace, and not be forced to find it), she continued on. It was around age nineteen that she left her village. It was supposed to be completed in a few months, but Jamie just grew... sidetracked. Sure, she cares deeply, deeply for her people, but she was also having so much fun exploring!
During her trek, she saw the glorious town of Castle Town, she saw the hot, steamy cliffs of Kakariko Village. She rolled in the lush grass of Hyrule Field. She got to chase the Zora people's headfins! Jamie went and visited the rest of her Minish people, to show them that their traditions were back in action! Each visit gave her new friends, but she forgot that she was supposed to be finding love. It was only a matter of time before she forgot her true purpose, and just piddled around Hyrule, exploring and looking for some new adventures. Perhaps her subconscious was keeping her sidetracked because she truly did not want to force love. Either way, Jamie is still traveling around, enjoying her youth before one of her people leaves to track her down and drag her back.
