'You can't do this! The Order doesn't have the right to exact this, you're toying with people's lives!'
She grabbed his shoulders and forced the man to face her, his face impassive before suddenly blistering in barely concealed rage, dark eyes like shards of jet boring into her, his hand moving towards the hilt of his sword. She stepped forward, flames coming into existence in the palm of her right hand, the embers licking her fingers and swirling around her wrist like an elaborate bracelet. If he were to reach for a weapon so would she and it was a weapon far stronger than a man made blade, if this were to dissolve into a fight there was no question of who outpowered who.
"What of those who are born with power and become a threat to this land?"
She kept her gaze locked on his, neither of them moving from their stance like a pair of living statues, as if to move meant to back down. She shook her head. "I am no threat, power or no. Only to those who would cross the ones I hold dear."
"One day you'll come to realise that your words hold no sway and when they do, you'll be the first to fall in their wake."
Kaythenia didn't know how long she had slept for, she didn't even remember closing her eyes. Slowly she prised them open and glanced around the unfamiliar room, her tired mind clicking into place the events of the previous day. Once again that twinge of a headache had started behind her eyes although she could not recall the overall dream she remembered voices...and someone with eyes darker and more empty than the blackest of nights. How strange, with some effort she pulled herself into a sitting position and let her body adjust to it before making any move off the bed. She felt mostly normal at least. The young woman carefully stood up, relieved that her legs were once again obeying her and at a glance towards the window noticed that it was daylight. Air, maybe that was what she needed. Kaythenia noticed that a basin with water and a towel had been left for her use, she removed her gloves and put them aside to scoop up the water to wash her face. The markings on the backs of her hands and the puckered scarring around her wrists as clear as ever.
Somethings never changed.
Hurridly she put the gloves back on, pulling them on with slightly more force than necessary before opening the door, glad to leave the room behind her. It was only a short journey to the outside, her boots making the floor of the grove rustle as she disturbed grass, leaves and stones. Kaythenia glanced around, having not taken a look around the previous day, there was something tranquil about this part of the Forest at least but a lone oak, took her attention. She moved over to it, running her hands across the swirls of the bark, this was a young tree. Oaks were supposedly the Guardians of the Forest, maybe this was an omen of sorts? The bard couldn't help but wonder as she settled beneath it, leaning her back against it and looking up among the boughs. Shards of light breaking through the leaves and casting shadows across her face.

He sat up, and after a moment remembered where he was. A room within the palace of the Fairy Queen. After the incident with Kay, he had hoped to figure out what he might have forgotten. It didn't seem like they could of helped he remember what the amnesia had caused him to forget. It wasn't a very good thing, but he at least wanted to figure his past out a little bit. He looked outside one of the windows in his room, and happened to see Kay wondering past.
Jin got to his feet and got himself dressed before heading out into the hallway, trying to see if she happened to be around still. With his at rest clothes on and Lisa in his hand, Jin walked along for a little bit, trying to find Kay, only to barely see her outside near a tree. It took him a few moments to find his way outside, but when he did he waved over at Kay, letting Lisa wonder around. "Morning Kay, are you feeling better?" Jin asked, taking a few steps over to her.

"Morning Kay, are you feeling better?"
The sound of Jin's voice brought Kaythenia out of her reverie and she glanced over at the approaching adventurer, obviously not long out of bed much like herself. She raised a hand in greeting, remembering her behaviour towards him yesterday and hoped that she could convince him that was not normal amongst her repotoire of behaviours. Yesterday made her feel drained and somewhat afraid, what had happened with the Circle, she needed to find out what and why she had experienced such a violent reaction to it. Although going back alone was out of the question, who knows what might have happened had Jin and Titania had not been there to remove her from it...the thought alone made the fine hairs along her arms stand up and her skin crawl. Enough of that for now, she had come outside amongst the forest to clear her mind of such thoughts, not to focus upon them. A shy smile played about her lips, quirking up just the corners as if she were unsure of herself.
"Morning, erm...yes, somewhat. I feel more myself at least, I wanted to thank you for your care yesterday even though I don't relish accepting help."
Kaythenia patted the grass beside her and motioned for Jin to sit down, a slight breeze weaved it's way through the grove, lifting the swallow tailed fabric of her sleeves and a few rogue strands of fiery hair. Momentarily she closed her eyes, perhaps an odd thing for someone so private to do around a stranger but she was relishing the feel of the sunlight on her skin where it broke through the boughs of the tree and the sound of the birds. There was a serenity about this place that she had not noticed the previous day and she would make the most of it while she could.

Nodding his head, he smiled at her. "Thats good. And don't worry about it. You needed help and I was there to offer it." Jin said, walking over to her and sitting down, before laying in the grass. "You know... it might just be me... but I swear this is some of the softest grass I've ever laid down on, you know?" Jin said softly, looking up at the sky. He laid there for a moment, before pushing himself up onto his elbows and watching Lisa forage among the grass before he looked at Kay.
"You're also much more talkative today you know? I am hoping that at least means you are in fact doing better." He said, stretching out his legs a bit before he sat up, knowing he would need to be sitting, as not to be rude. "So... I have to ask... do you know what caused that... entire thing to happen yesterday?" Jin knew he was getting straight to the point, but he felt like he had to at least get it out of the way before he said anything else.

What an odd thing to comment on...Well, Kaythenia supposed if she could appreciate the trees why not appreciate the grass as well? Still it wasn't exactly the sort of statement you would announce in the presence of someone else, maybe Jin didn't care about such things? The Bard leaned back against the tree with a sigh, enjoying the moment while she had it. Moments of peace where she could relax and forget she was being hunted like an animal outside of this place. For now this was a safe place where even Davik would not even be able to find her, experienced as he was at following her patterns of behaviour. Kaythenia tucked a lock of fiery hair behind one ear to keep it out of her face just as Jin's voice came to her attention, she glanced down at the adventurer who was comfortably stretched out on the grass.
"You're also much more talkative today you know? I am hoping that at least means you are in fact doing better. So... I have to ask... do you know what caused that... entire thing to happen yesterday?"
It was then that Kaythenia gave pause and her shoulders tensed at the thought, she pulled her knees up towards her chest, gripping the fabric of her crimson shirt tightly in either hand as if she needed something to hold onto. Avoiding Jin's eyes, her gaze turned across the grove. The young woman wished that he hadn't brought up the subject now, she was hoping to be able to forget about it for now. It still felt so raw and fresh in her mind, the feeling when she had touched the circle had coursed through her like a lightning strike. There was a few moments of silence while Kaythenia tried to find her voice.
"I...I don't know, when I touched the circle it felt like something was coursing through me and it hurt."

Jin looked at Kay before rubbing his head softly. "Ah sorry about that... it's just been something on my mind..." He said, feeling a little bad at how he just seemed to straight up ask without thinking about her feelings. Jin had to make things right, or at least put the bad thoughts behind her, for now anyway. "Magic huh, never understood any of that stuff." He said, knowing he had his own magic things, but never actually understanding how they worked.
"You know what we should do?" Jin asked Kay, changing the subject as he got to his feet energetically. "We should go and get something to eat yeah?" He half said, half asking. He grinned down at Kay and offered his hand to help her to her feet. "Let's get some food in us and forget about stupid magic circles for a bit and focus on something else. Something not having to do with magic." He offered, wanting to cheer her up somewhat.
"And while we are at it, lets see what else we can do here, since this is the first time I've seen this place, its like adventure waiting to happen."

Kaythenia blinked at Jin's sudden enthusiasm as he leapt to his feet and offered her his hand, apparently he was doing his best distract her from her thoughts about yesterday. For a moment or so she stared blankly at him as if she questioned his sanity before hestitantly reaching out and taking his hand in her gloved one. Letting him pull her to her feet, perhaps it would be best to let Jin help her forget about it all at least for now, it was better than letting her mind go in circles about the events of yesterday until she drove herself insane. Anything not to do with magic would be a blessing and even though she wasn't exactly hungry she knew that she needed to eat something. The bard nodded and slightly self conciously crossed her arms and locked them over her corsetted midriff, she knew that Jin was only trying to help but help was not easy for her to accept. When people tried to help her they got hurt or worse, Kaythenia didn't want to be responsible. Too many lives had been lost and indirectly she was responsible for it. No, don't think about that, not here and not now. She forced a smile and nodded.
"Perhaps...lead the way I guess."
Maybe spending the time doing something normal for a change would do her some good. The closest to normality she had of late had been performing in the Fairy's Fountain, even that had been disrupted by the precense of Davik. For now she was relatively safe within the boundaries of the Sacred Grove.

Jin smiled when she accepted his hand, and after a small grunt, he got her to her feet and picked Lisa up from the grass. He looked around them and focused on the Palace a bit before he smiled and looked at Kay. "Alrighty then, follow me." He said, and walked over to one of the walls with the window and climbed in through it before looking back at Kay. "We'll sneak around here, a little game to try and keep from being spotted." He said, before walking to the wall and pressing against it, sliding along the wall. "Sneaky sneaky.." Jin said softly, looking over at Kay before he turned the corner.
He stared right at the guard who was walking down the hall, and the guard waved at him before walking over. "Ah... I lost... which way to the dining area?" He asked with a smile, and the guard pointed them down the hall some. "Keep going this way, take a left at the third door, head down that hall a bit and then just follow the smells. We have some toasted bread and fruit jam if you want." The guard said, and Jin thanked his before looking at Kay. "Its not my fault... I'm not much of a sneaky person." He said with a laugh.
He began to go down the hallway when he turned back to Kay. "So, what do you like to eat?" He asked, curious about her a little bit. He also wanted to keep her talking about unrelated things to hopefully distract her more.
