A Shark out of Water (finished)

A seemly lifeless body would be seen drag through the hallways as it was took to a cell that would soon become it new home. Stopping in front a jail cell a person would move with a swift movement with a key, unlocking the door and then tossing the body in before turning to leave. The body would lay motionless until a scent reached his nose causing this body to almost lunched crossed the cell at a bowl of water. Dumping his head in the bowl he would take a deep breathe the body would relax as it fell back to the ground. Kazu remember little of his travel to this sand fortress other then the burning of the sun on his back and tail. His mind was blank as he laid on the ground starring as the stone roof trying to wrap his mind around this problem he now stand in. What could he do now? Everything was now but a small gimps of what his life was once like. The voice-less woman was nowhere around, maybe checking with other things. However he had a feeling he would be see her soon again, but was that a good thing or bad. He knew didn't know what to think at the time all he could do was sit and wait.

Ruma had heard tell of a new prisoner. He may not have left yet, but she was still taking to her new position of acting head. As acting head, she knew that she should gain a sense of why prisoners were being brought to the fortress. She left Jin to work on more plating, as he probably didn't want to see any more prison cells.

Making her way into the room, she found herself staring down a parched Zora trying to keep himself going with a small bowl of water. Looking to one of the guards, she shook her head and forced her over.

"We're in the middle of the desert. This zora will need more water than that. Get another bowl." She snapped her fingers as the guard left the room, leaving one other in there watching prisoners. However, with Ruma here now the guards could afford to lose one.

She then approached the cell, tapping on the bars with her pistol, getting the zora's attention. She put away the pistol after, trying not to seem like she was threatening him. She already had the cards in her hand.

"Mind telling me what a zora is doing out in the desert? Unless you're a prisoner from the ocean camp you should probably be dead. Who brought you here?" Her voice was not authoritative. She didn't know how to carry authority quite yet. It was just a conversational tone.

At last the room began to stop spinning as the young Zora laid on the flood. Sounds could be heard from the hallway but Kazu did not move or listen as his mind was miles away. But it would returned to him as the tapping grow louder followed by a voice. Without even looking he rolled over onto his side away from who ever was standing at the door. Resting his head on his hand as he laid there. Kazu would listen as a voice sounded like a girls, but as this was the Gerudo Fortress he wasn't surprise. Swing his tail a bit out of anbitabce before slamming is on the ground at the girl question. "You want to know why I am here? That's is something I would very much like to know too. And as for who brought me here I do not know, she never said or I guess couldn't say. All I know is that she made it cleared I was to become her new voice! Whatever that means." he said with his back to the person, but leaning back so his green eye could see who it was at last. The fear was gone now as he had all the time for fear on the ride here, his friendly nature now gone almost giving the look of a monster he had many time been mistaken for.

Ruma stood there, listening to his story. His description of the person in question led her to only one conclusion.

"I guess you met Kotone then. She'll probably have you relaying messages. She's mute after all. Learn to read lips quickly." She noticed his apathetic demeanor. He was about to be put into slavery. "Guess you got off easy then. Surprised she didn't just kill you. Zoras are difficult to preserve out here. Must have brought you in from the ocean. No matter, she'll become your master soon. Welcome to slavery." The cheerful voice she had was odd considering the discussion material. He was going to be a slave to her sister, no doubt there. He wouldn't be alive otherwise.

Turning back to the wall he listen to the woman voice as she filled in the missing spot. So the red hair beauty was named Kotone and she was mute, that would explain a lot. But still she saying this... THIS was getting off easy. A Zora this far from water was nothing more then fish out of water, but it was her voice that pulled him into anger. So calm and happy sounding it pissed him off, but what was there to do he was in jail and even if he wasn't he was no fight. That was proven with him now being here. With another slam of his tail Kazu would rise to his feet, carrying the bowl is water with as he lean against the cell wall. "So this really is it then... The Gerudo Desert?" he asked as there was no windows here but the heat could still be felt. Slavery... Guess this really is his new life, rather he like it or not. Taking a slip of the water he turned back to the woman as he moved some of the blue hair from his face "And if I can ask it, just who are you?"

Ruma nodded and shrugged. "Yeah, you're in the desert. Get used to it. By the way, I'm Ruma, acting commander of the fortress while our king is gone." She moved slightly to the side, making sure he got a glimpse of her gun. "As of right now you are my prisoner. Until I have a talk with my sister over what we're going to do with you, you will remain in this cell. Food and water will of course be provided for you." She reached into her bag and pulled out half of an apple. Tossing it to him, she sighed. "Your real meal will be arriving shortly. There's something to tide you over in the meantime."

Well it seemed the head of the fortress herself has came to see him, it made him feel slightly important. But the feeling didn't last long as she lean over to give him a glimpse of the objects on her side. In truth he knew not what the thing was, but seeing as she was making sure he could see it it must be something he wouldn't like. Walking back to the cell wall Kazu would slide down the wall so he would be sitting on the ground as he rapped his tail around him. All he could do was wait, once more with the waiting. Thankfully he was still watching and saw as the apple as tossed at, quickly reaching up he would catch the apple with his right hand. "Well thank you and I'll try my best to be good." he said just before taking a bit of the apple.

Ruma nodded at his comment, shrugging. "You better be good. Big sis drives her slaves hard." She did drive them hard, but she made sure they were well cared for. But he didn't need to know that. She probably had to make another collar. Probably one that will function perfectly in the water, given the shark she managed to haul in.

"So what did you do to irk my sister enough to take you home as a trophy?"

Hearing the questions from Ruma Kazu would turn his head away looking toward the wall not really wanting to answer it. It was if anything embarrassing to say the less. "I umm... I ate some of her fish..." he said crossing his arms and without looking.

[ruma]

Upon hearing his answer, there was nothing Ruma could do but laugh. He took a fish, and look where it got him. Kotone was always serious about her food, and this was the proof.

Calming down, she smiled and looked at Kazu, though he was turned away. "Well, that's what you get for stealing from thieves. Tough luck for you fishy." Another bowl of water came and Ruma took it from the guard and slid it to Kazu. "You need anything else before I head back up and figure out what's going to happen to you?"

The shark could feel as his face began to heat up to a red color from the girl laughter, but it was true. He shouldn't have took it but his stomach took control of his body while he was hungry. Turning and watching as the Ruma slid it in his cell before asking if he needed anything each. With a slight smile he turn back to Ruma "Freedom would be nice!" he asked already knowing the answer.

Ruma nodded "In time, you'll be released from your cell. From there, I'm not sure yet what will happen afterward. If sis kept you alive she probably has a plan for you. Seems like I'll be busy with another collar. I should go check that. Bye." Without waiting for his response, she walked out of the dungeon, making sure the guards weren't planning anything devious. Seemed like they weren't. She exited to find her sister.

Well this was not growing blighter for him it seemed as the "Boss Lady" was now leaving him to his fate and to wounder just what was in store for him here. He thought about many things, but placed a hand on his neck as he thought about what she said before leaving, something about a collar! Great he was going to become like a pet too this seemed. Leaning back only to lightly slam his head into the wall he only sigh before laying down. "It was only a fish...." said to the cell before falling asleep after the long hard day.
