RACE,Hybrid - Dominantly Hylian, Human.
GENDER,Female.
BATTLE ROLE,Range DPS.
BATTLE STYLE,Casual, Story, LS Style.
AGE,Twenty One.
ALLIANCE,Good.
PERSONALITY,Ria is a very logical girl (at least, she assumes she is). However, she is very stressed out by some people's informality. That only gives her a chance to show what she's learned. If someone doesn't listen to her in the least, she gets even more stressed. It's her way of correcting the silly mistakes some people make. At least, what she believes are mistakes. Ria tries and tries to be nice about it, but she almost sounds condescending. Pedantry is certainly no compliment. She is just much too concerned with precision.
The one thing everyone knows about Ria is how curious she is. Ria is very interested in certain things that catch her eye. Especially if it turns into a mystery for her. When one thing seems out of place, then another does, and then another. It's a never ending puzzle for her to solve. So, she absolutely must solve a mystery. One mystery at a time, of course. Sometimes, she completely ignores everything going on around her if her mind is fixed on something. By completely ignoring everything else, she can turn out to be very bad in some cases. She picks the needed satisfaction of knowing over living.
Ria, being so busy trying to fix things, has an extreme set on those things. Where as most people would just give it up, Ria absolutely can't. She might work herself to death this way. Sometimes, she is so determined, that if there are hints that she should stop, she throws small fits. Ria cannot stand not being able to do something her mind is set on. If someone tells her she will not succeed, that only causes them the trouble. She will fuss with herself and even go to the trouble of setting her goals higher so her success seems twice as good. Ria doesn't like to be told she isn't able to do something. If she starts to realize it's impossible for her to do something, she might be upset for a very long time and come back to it later on.
The little blonde can drift off quite a bit. She has an imagination no one can picture but herself. Ria lets the back of her mind pick the images she wants to pass by, and she will be stuck on those. She day dreams on specifically boring days when nothing is happening, but most people do. As we know, Ria is very concentrated on things once she gets a hold of them. Day dreams are no different. From when the sun rises to when it sets, she might let her mind concentrate on that day dream. Even when she's doing productive things, like reading or writing, she lets her mind go back to it. Especially when reading. That is when she compares everything to said dream.
Sometimes, she asks what her sister or any other respectable young woman would do. She doesn't find childish things as funny as others. Perhaps a spared giggle or just a smile. Ria hardly ever laughs, in fact. She doesn't find anything funny unless it really deserves the giggle. Now, Ria isn't all bad. She is fairly polite. The curious girl has been known for her manners. She might talk out of place, but only if it's absolutely called for. In her book, that might be all the time. Ria carries that elegance any girl with her education and fondness of learning would. She sits with her back straight. She has proper speech. Otherwise, she is polite out of nature. Not necessarily kind but nice because her morals tell her it’s the absolute best way to be.
Ria is absolutely a prude girl. Ria finds that all to be nonsense, really. She has no time or place to be dallying with boys. Whether or not they catch her attention as being 'handsome'. It's not her fault her mind doesn't function in such a way that she's attracted to boys so much that she absolutely MUST have them. No, not in one bit. Ria will pass a thought of how handsome they are, but that would be about it. She finds herself losing interest. If she does find one handsome, she will not even drop a hint of it. Ria isn't shy verbally around boys. It's being hugged, or even holding hands to cross the street.
Ria can make a complete fool out of herself. It's not a small trip over her own shoe, or dropping something. That happens to everyone. Ria, however, gets the worst luck known. She ends up breaking many things in just one stroll. Like the game of Domino, one thing falls after another after another after another. She somehow ends up ruining an entire room. Even when she tries to be dignified, she embarrasses herself often. That's another reason she's so easily frustrated. She can hardly walk through a room the right way.
This walks in hand with her prudeness, really. Ria is absolutely unaware of lesser, dirtier things she should know about at her age. It makes her nervous just hearing about something that has to do with mature content. In fact, she tries hard to block off any of those words from entering her virgin ears. Ria is innocent in more ways than one, of course. She usually is quite unaware of shady characters. People all appear the equal to her, so naturally, she thinks of them all as equal. She might be logical academically, but that doesn't mean she's very street smart which in fact, she isn't in the least.
Ria doesn't have trust issues what-so-ever. Ria is very good at understanding things. Well, sort of. Anyways, she never seems very happy because, even at a young age, she has realized there isn't much she can do for the world, and there isn't a real reason to be happy if she is aware that she is going to end up dying without any importance. Most of all, Ria seems to be very lonely. She won't ever say what's wrong, though. It's sort of her nature to act as content as she can possible hold herself up to be. Ria isn't terribly sad all the time. It's more that she just can't be happy, really. She doesn't laugh much. Therefore, she doesn't spare many smiles for people. Another reason she might seem so sad is that hardly anything good happens to her. Ever. Just a bunch of confusion and mind games she has to find herself out of.
APPEARANCE,Ria is the girl washing cloth in the river, the friendly woman behind the counter, the stranger who will give you precise directions. By appearances, she fascinates others because she seems so delicate. Yet, something about the way she speaks—with carefully chosen words for short answers, makes her almost surreal. If not for her beauty, her measurements would make her rather average. Five foot four, she shouldn’t stand out, nor would she have succeeded at drawing attention to herself. Somehow, being gifted with golden, beautiful hair, she gives the expression of sunshine. Her hair is the most important piece to her (at least so she thinks).
Clothing varies with the weather. While in the summer, she avoids heavily carried on clothes, in the winter, she dresses mostly in black. No matter what season, Ria is always wearing a very pointy, witch-like hat. She has multiple, all in different colors, but her two favorites are the purple and black. Ria’s shoes don’t change much. It’s a standard to be seen in black sandals, likely covered in dirt. One could always find her shining her shoes.
WEAPONS,Broom. Her only weapon is the broom she carries at her side. Note she never uses it in a legitimate battle to strike, because she is hardly one for getting close to her attacker, but she does enjoys a few knocks on the head to teach someone a lesson. The broom poses as her crude staff, really. She uses it to cast her spells.
ITEMS,Pouch. At the end of her broomstick, there is a particularly small pouch that holds all items near and dear to her.
ABILITIES,Thunder Spell. Ria casts a spell that conjures lightning to strike down upon her enemies. This attack only effects one opponent at a time. This deals moderate damage with a cooldown of one post.
Water Spell. Ria casts a spell that conjures water to strike down upon her enemies. This attack only effects one opponent at a time. This deals moderate damage with a cooldown of one post.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Magical Devastator. All magical damage dealt by the Hylian is increased (by a half level), and they gain access to a Magic Attack, which mimics the regular attack save that it deals magical damage (i.e. deal a half-level of magical damage, consumes one action slot, no cooldown).
HISTORY,
Ria was born to a family of three; all girls. Ria was the eldest child, therefore, as you may expect, the most ignored child. As tradition with the Hartshires, the eldest daughter was to become the most fit for motherhood. It was asked of Ria to raise and care for her two younger sisters when her mother could not. Being a hybrid of Human and Hylian, she saw no abnormalities nor did she ever expect to. Of course, meeting expectations is a rare case in anyone’s life. Once she reached the acceptable age, her father prearranged a marriage to Adair Le Mort, in order to tie in the family riches and give his bloodline a good name.
Ria strongly disliked her fiancé—so much so, she begged both her parents to end the engagement and allow her the decision of her own marriage. Of course, for the better of the family, she was not given the wish and it pushed her to run away. Adair was strong and intelligent, he was charming and he was gifted in all imaginable talents, but he was one thing Ria could not stand. He was not passionate. Nor would he ever be so. So, she took all her things into a cart and left with their mule. While the Hartshires are still well, Ria hasn’t heard from them.
Adair has not searched for Ria, because as she did not fancy him, he was never quite so fond of her. He preferred her beauty over all things and to his accord, beauty is easily attainable. Ria has started her journey rather recently. She does not know of her own goals nor her ambitions, but she searches this day for a friend in hand and a feeling of real passion.
